The amount of ribs for the price is amazing. Very tasty, cooked perfectly and goes well with the rice. Dont feel fooled by the area and the plaza looks a little sketchy but hey as they say. Treasures are always hidden in places that you will never imagine.

Place is updated due to the renovations, food is very fresh best choice is ribs with rice and salad, soup is also very good. But in the evening they run out literally all the time. They provide bananas sometimes and the mango drinks are ok. but they run out by evening at times as well. The customer service is on point. Few things to consider. The portions are very small. Price went up, it is $20 a plate, from what you get it's not $20 worthy at all. Biggest hit was how they got rid of the sports plate. Because of these changes, I went from coming every week to rarely coming.

Etobs use to be my fav place to eat whenever we would visit Toronto unfortunately with their recent changes (having no sport) it has been a total disappointment. The fact that the rice and the meat aren’t even on the same plate it drives me crazy! How am I suppose to eat that! Use another plate!? I mean if we are going to serve Somali cultural food let’s present it in a Somali cultural manner! Even after looking past the dingy bathroom.. I can’t do it anymore..

I read most of this reviews and I have eaten food here food is not bad the prices are crazy for what is served co mpared to other somali foods etob 18 dollars for plate with a water juice portions will feed a 12 year old not a grown man

The owner is very disrespectful when i asked him where he gets his meat from he was saying madina but I asked him if I can see the invoice he got more angry and he never showed me the invoice and he was saying I am Shia because I am asking where he gets his meat from Muslim brothers we should try stay away from people selling haram and tricking people like this If the meat was from madina he would have no problem showing the invoice just like how the other legit halal restaurant do not have problem showing there invoices to there costumers

This restaurant is always a win for me. Home cooked food with a home cooked feel. The ribs with rice is my favourite dish to eat, I always ask for extra sauce on the ribs and hot sauce on the side! The hot sauce is not for the faint of heart, it will cause internal temps to rise! Consider yourself warned!! But the complimentary mango drink will help extinguish any fires!

I almost got killed today in the place.This was the waste place i have ever been.The service was slow, the food took forever and the attitude of the stuff was so rude.Their customer service is less to be desirable. Food was OK but with the Attitude and poor service ,who needs food? I ordered two plates of rice with meat to go, because we coudn't eat there, the place was hot and there was no AC.We waited about 30 minutes for our order to get ready. After 30 minutes still we don't have our order, so finally we decieded to speak up and ask for our order. That's was when one of the stuff started to fight with us and he was try to punch me. If it wasn't other customer who happen to be there, he would have punch me in the face. Finaly we left without our food, and never look back again. We didn't even ask our money back.

Very clean and welcoming Atmosphere! The food was great and specially the chicken suqaar had i think BBQ sauce on top of it but it was juicy and delicious. Would totally recommend this spot for others to try their great food!

It’s so sad how terrible the costumer service has become at one of my favourite somali restaurants. I have no idea with whats going on with management but i hope they get their act together soon. Least of the issues i have is the quality of their food has become subpar. Please get it together guys. I would hate to never have your once amazing food again ????

I called the restaurant and wanting to know what kind of food you guys have. He hung up and told me Google it... Google it. I don't think these people know how to run business. Still they think they are back home... I don't care if the food is good or not. Worst service ever. I will not go any place where they don't treat customer nicely. Rude as hell.... I can't believe it and they prostrate. It's completely rude.. Then I came to know from other that food aren't great either and they aren't clean.

Had the BBQ ribs with rice and goat curry with their bread. The food was AMAZING! The spicy sauce with the rice is so good and the ribs were falling of the bones! They don't take credit / no tap so be sure to have debit/cash!

This restaurant has good food but horrible customer service, it’s family owned and the owner lets his abusive son run the restaurant, he’s always fighting with customers and being awfully rude . I would definitely not being coming here again and I would not recommend anyone to come here
