This place is hidden away in a strip mall and I passed by it for two years without ever thinking about checking it out. Has a restaurant section and the more popular 'sports bar' section that seems to be the only place people use. I would call this a nice, clean hole in the wall...in the best way. Great place to go for cheap drinks and very tasty pub food. Half price burgers on game nights (which is pretty much every night) and probably the best pub burgers I can remember having. Wings are cheap and tasty, calamari plate is massive. You do need to flag the staff down at times as this is a very relaxed place and they can often get caught into conversations with clients.

My family and friends have often visited the Canadiana restaurant over the last 15 to 20 years and it's such a treat to go there. They know us and they always treat us very well. We consider them friends. The selection of food is excellent and they have wonderful specials. The ambience is warm and friendly. We always look forward to it.

I go to the Canadiana about once every three months. I've been doing this for several years now. I traditionally order the prime rib. Don't order the large size unless you haven't eaten in a week! Its huge. I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is professional, the food is good, the decor is nice, the bathrooms clean.

Not knowing what to expect, this simple pub style food with friendly staff hit the spot. I had fish and chips, while the two people I was with had the Sheppard's pie and a Reuben respectively - not a complaint among us. Food came out in a timely manner, all around great experience.

This review is for the bar lounge. Great little neighborhood type bar! The staff make you feel so welcome; it's like a real life "Cheers" lol. It really made the visit fun and friendly. Our waiter, Peter, had a great sense of humor ;) It's a relaxed atmosphere, so I probably would come here if I were in a hurry. The food is high quality, much more than typical bar food. The Reuben sandwich was stuffed with corned beef and so delicious! If you are into sports, there are several TV's. They also have a big, more formal dining area and a huge banquet room downstairs. The bathrooms are clean and wheelchair accessible. The parking at this mall can be pretty full at peak times and the pub gets very busy so go early! ;)

Another winner and I totaly mean it! This gem has been here for a long time and it has certainly earned it's stripes. The beef dip is the bomb! Wash it down with a draft straight out of a keg and your golden! Get the prime rib beef dip its well worth the extra pesos. You will be a very happy camper.

Had Several meals at this restaurant beautiful meals hadn’t intended to go here. Was looking for breakfast place & Dundas Street Grill was full. Surprised not open earlier for breakfasts since just up the street no room, no seating avail. And this restaurant has plenty of seating and really good food. Maybe people just don’t know about it or figure it’s part of the bar right at the front. That could be a deal breaker for this restaurant/ bar. What people also do t know it’s a catering place & has lot of space. For events! That’s this restaurant who knew?

I had Thanksgiving diner here & it was horrible, it looked and tasted like something you would be served in a hospital. The restaurant was filled with seniors. If you are under 75 and you want food that doesn't taste like it came from a hospital, this isn't the place for you.

My husband and I came here during a banquet and we loved the food. Very delicious. We had a great time. Initially, when you look from the outside, you'd think kids could not come in, but they have dining in the back, which is separate from the bar area.

Short walk from my home, was pleasantly surprised by the service and food. Many regulars here and their dumpster pepper bar hot sauce was 10/10 for you spice chasers. I had the coconut shrimp, came out a little burnt and the server gladly replaced them for me. I will be back!!

Canadiana is a reliable restaurant. Often, it is better than average with good food at good prices, and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately tonight it was just average. The food was up to par, but once seated and having our orders taken, we did not see our server until she brought our cheque - and that was 20 minutes after we had completely finished everything (with no drink refills). We will likely go back, but our visit this time was soured.

Like others, I would give zero stars if I could. Long wait to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant and no opportunity to give drink order before food order. All staff were cold shouldering us, no smiles save one from the bus boy. Food took an inordinate amount of time and the waitress took our bread plates BEFORE serving the entrees. Appetizer and entrees had NO cheddar cheese in them, but there WAS cheddar at the bottom of the appetizer and randomly throughout it. During our wait and then dining, staff were hard to find yet were also seen gesturing towards us and then huffing off, although at that point we had not yet complained about the food. I completely lost my appetite when the bus boy was forced to bring cleaning materials and bucket passed our table. This is the second time I've had contaminated, badly prepared food AND horrible service, I've only been here 4 times. I won't go back and I do not recommend.

First time visit yesterday for a late breakfast. Ambience is for the older crowd, though there is a bar area out front. Seated ourselves. We ordered a couple different eggs benedict, a seafood salad and French toast. All of them were very good, certainly above average fare. Great value as well.

Besides how nice the place looks (and it does look classy). The food was exactly as the name states "Canadian" and not the best quality. I went with two other people. We all ordered different pastas. Firstly my soup was extremely salty (and I don't mind salt). All of our pastas were over cooked. My meat balls were too hard and were not to my taste. The meat sauce was nothing special or good for that matter, tasted like tomato paste with nothing in it, like it was whipped together from the can, heated and served. The sea food pasta was the same, sauce was nothing special and the sea food was too rubbery to enjoy. None of us finished our plates.

Had a family lunch their on the weekend. Was 50 people . half the rest at aunt booked out for us and it was 22.50 each with tax for what I would call the chinciest buffet Ive ever seen in my life. Not to mention had to drive all the way to etobicoke for it. Their was maybe 7 different tubs of food to choose from.... That's it.... And you couldn't even take food home with you. Don't recommend this place to anyone.

Canadiana is a weird hybrid of a restaurant, with a dining room frequented by families and the blue rinse set, and a sports bar. And both are always packed because the food is delicious, portions are generous, prices are very reasonable and service is friendly. When we eat in Etobicoke, Canadiana is one of the three places we go.

Went here for a Birthday dinner last week. The food was bland beyond bland. The Caesar salad had no flavor whatsoever! The prime rib was the most disappointing part. Not only was it over cooked it was bland and lacked all taste. The garlic bread was a soggy oily mess. We were very upset and will NEVER be back! The food was so bad it tasted like frozen dinners defrosted! HORRIBLE!!!!

The Canadiana is a very unique restaurant and Banquet Hall. Annually they host our Banquet and everyone in attendance comments openly about their friendliness and the sincere greetings that they receive on arrival from the Banquet Staff and in particular Audrey. She makes everyone feel right at home with her welcoming smile and overall sweet nature., The food is beautifully prepared starting with a fruit punch, appetizers that are mouthwatering, and then the delicious main course and to top it all off a dessert that compliments the whole meal. The ambiance of Christmas is everywhere and we all go home looking forward to yet another visit to the Canadiana Restaurant. A special thanks to John who is truly amazing. I have been to Canadiana three times now, and have been impressed by the food, atmosphere, and service all three times. The bar is warm and friendly and is a great place to grab a beer or watch sports. The more quiet dining room is classy yet casual, and is a great place to bring family, friends, or even a date. Carolina--the waitress who served me most recently--was friendly, attentive, caring, and professional. She really went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. She even spoke in Spanish to the table beside me! Needless to say, the staff make Canadiana the gem that it is. While unassuming on the outside, Canadiana is almost an Etobicoke landmark...check it out if you haven't already!

My girlfriend and I brought my parents here for dinner on Sunday..... The waitress (I really wish I could have thought to remember her name) was fantastic! Very friendly and extremely helpful. My girlfriend is Muslim so usually when we go anywhere to eat, the menu is extremely shortened, so I decided to ask her to ask the chef if the chicken was halal. She went to the back and returned with the news that it in fact was halal chicken. For those of you who don't know what halal food is, it is chicken or beef that is 'humanely killed and blessed'... I know thats oxymoronic but the animals have to be completely dead before butchered, are thanked for giving their lives for us etc. Anyways, with the menu opened up for her and us, it made the choices more difficult because now we had half a menu to choose from.... We chose extremely well! We ordered 2 chicken souvlaki dinners that came on a bed of rice with veggies, lemon chicken with rice and veggies, and chicken parmesan on linguine. Everything was amazing! Even the veggies! They must sautee them in an oyster sauce or something. Incredible! The salad before hand and unlimited garlic bread made it even more worth while. The prices were almost too low for the portions we received. Everything was too much to eat. I recommend this place very highly and don't usually review, in this case I HAVE to. I hope the experience is the same every time we go back and for everyone else. :)

Idk y I’m giving 4 stars. I mean I guess it’s not my favourite spot is all. The food is good. I order a Reuben usually and a friend grabs the hot hamburger. I’ve had a few things on the menu and everything is pretty good. The ambiance and could be a bit better and everything about the place is a little dated. I did an event here one time as well and everything went well.

This is against Groupib's policy of purchase price never expiring We've been to Canadiana before, and decided to stay anyway. We had the blue cheese burger and fries. The burger was delicious, and made to order, but the fries were over salted. The cook staff tends to overdo it on salt, so be careful. Do NOT have the pickles. Its like putting a spoonful if salt in your mouth!!! Staff is friendly, but didn't keep on top of the water, and we had to ask for refills. We have been several times in the past, but at this point we're not sure that we will return.

Went to meet friends I haven't seen in person since February 2020. Accessibility was main reason for choosing this venue. Friendly attentive service, delicious reasonably priced meals. What's not to like?

Food was ok on the date attended. Staff was friendly and accommodating during the meal. Would attend again on a future date. Location is in a strip mall off Dundas Street. With the current construction it is difficult to enter when traveling eastbound on Dundas.

On sunday we had a lovely family party at the canadiana! Audrey and the rest of the staff were very efficient and accommodating the food delicious and the decorations were beautiful! Thanks canadianA! We will be booking again for next year!

If I could give Zero stars I would. Last night our child went in to grab take out. 2 side orders of french fries and a French onion soup. Took over an hour to get these 3 small items! The fries were cold, soggy, undercooked, (we only live 1 minute from the restaurant so travel time was not the issue) , freezer burnt, and definitely from a McCain Super fries bag at the cost of almost 7 dollars for each side order of fries. The fries and the soup were inedible. Very disappointed Canadiana restaurant. Our family has been coming to your restaurant for decades, but you have been seeing less and less of us as your food and service declines. That was the final straw.

Great home cooked meals, with excellent staff and service. The pub also serves some good classic pub food, with a number of beers on tap. On the flip side, the prices are not cheap, but the food is generally worth it. I would just suggest avoiding the Greek food, which for some reason is served with a French stick--no thanks.

we were able to get a seat right away and drinks but then sat more than 45 mins for our food.. which we were about to walk out..we had 3 kids who they served last. very disappointed in this restaurant which were recommended to us..and wonder how they have such a following....and then the food servings were not good for the amount they charge for it...Dina was nice..helpful when my husband kept asking how much longer..Never again....UPDATE...my eggs were not cooked..plate returned..and the waitress informed us that there was no bill.

Glad to see that this restaurant is still around! I plan on trying next time I'm out that way! My dad was married here over 26 years ago! The banquet room was excellent and food was yummy! He was a cop with 22 Division and this was one of his regular spots! I haven't been in the area for years and someone mentioned it for lunch! I couldn't believe it's still going strong! Congrats!

We went to this place because it was open late. It didn't look like much from the outside and we almost left before we entered. We were so glad we went in! The staff were amazing and helpful and the food was wonderful!
