Cool spot - nice ambiance and good food. A diverse menu with plates that are best shared. Since it's tapas style you can try a lot of things without getting too stuffed. Nice seafood options in particular. Suggest asking for a spot in the back if you want to have conversations as there are a few TV's in the front which almost has a little of a sports bar vibe at times.

This is our family's favourite restaurant. There is something for everyone. The small, shareable sized portions allow everyone to try a bit of everything!! The staff is so wonderful and we will be going back as often as we can!

Sat outside at a table for two, unfortunately we were seated under the drip of an air conditioner condensation. The social spacing was right on the curb, so there was absolutely no distancing from people and their pets walking by the sidewalk. The only saving grace was that the food tasted very good, the service was prompt. I wouldn't eat outside at this restaurant again, not well situated for outdoor dining.

Cozy atmosphere and 10/10 food! My friends and I ordered multiple dishes to share and every one tasted exceptional. Would highly recommend the seared scallops, lobster and shrimp gnocchi (the truffle cream sauce was to die for), as well as the smoked salmon crostini’s. (Note: Portion sizes are on the smaller side) Would definitely recommend this place!

My fav spot in the Royal York & Bloor area. The inside is upscale but still cozy, plus there's outdoor seating on Bloor. Food is terrific (the brussels sprouts & spare ribs were standouts this time) with the only issue being which dishes to choose. You could certainly order individually but it's really best to try & share as many as possible. Extensive wine list & next time I'll get into the cocktail menu. Our server Eliza and the rest of the staff were great, she even split our dessert onto two plates! Who does that? :)

A must try place and will become your favourite!! Literally every single item on the menu is delicious and original. Won't have flavors like this anywhere else! You will be excited to try every single dish and each table even comes with a fresh growing Basil and some oil. The staff is excellent here, very on point, personable, informative, efficient and professional. Not your average Joe servers here. The head cook has been meticulously chosen by the owner, Mark Azaria, in which he plays a huge role in serving, entertaining and engaging with that special touch which makes the evening just that much more pleasing and memorable. The restaurant itself is quite nice inside, has a small bar area with TVs by the entrance as you are kindly welcomed by staff. Great to grab a quick bite or beer at this spot. Otherwise, the entire place has tons of seating, benches and even more secluded tables. Very nice modern finishes inside and everything comes together quite well. Whether you want a casual beer with a buddy, have a family occasion or even just want a special night out with your partner, this is the perfect spot to go!!

Me and my family went for new years dinner. Great experience, amazing staff . Nice server , beautiful recommendation and explained everything as it comes in small portion. But still not happy the pricing and portion was extremely small to share. Owner was good but still casual for elegant .Overall great experience and new year moment was there . Nice wine list and great wine. Look forward to go on easy ocassion to see the difference .

As soon as you walk in the door a host and the owner check you out, scanning you from head to toe to assess your suitability with their posh place. Two of us went to the restaurant and were seated in a very tight spot, between two other tables. Still looking at the menu, we asked for plain water to start, which was a clear faux-pas. We eventually ordered, but for the price you pay the servings looked meek and we decided to share two appetizers. Another mistake, as the server inquired "is that all??" While getting the order, we decided to turn the table because length wise it was so long that we could barely hear each other. The people beside us didn't mind and helped us turn the table to close the distance between us. When the server came over he insisted that we turn the table back as it was, even after we explained the problem. And that's when we said "thanks, but no thanks". We gathered our coats and said good night to Azaria. We walked down the street and found a fantastic spot where we spent our $240 for the night. Thank you SOUVLAKI HUT TAVERNA for the fabulous service, huge portions and outstanding food. Money well spent.

Hopefully you are not hungry when you get there. The dishes on the table with two drinks was over $100! The portions are tiny even for a tapas restaurant. The flavors were good but nothing special. The short rib was ok but the best dish was the rapini, it was full of garlic and cheese. However it was served on a square plate that was five inches in diameter! Do not get the chicken. It was very "wet" like chicken that was frozen. The arugula salad was fresh and well dressed. The jalapeno margarita was delicious and the server was very friendly.

Before eating here, this place is "tapas". Small plates, not very shareable, although ordering lamb mini burgers and the sliders together, I was full, and by the way, it was delicious. Thanking Pao chicken is great and can be ordered 1 at a time as far as quantity goes. Pass on the fondue, for the price and for what it is.. it's bland and passable. The lava cake is tiny for 10$. I like the idea of cutting your herbs at the table to dip your bread in oil, either rosemary or basil. And the cushions at the booth are comfortable for your back. I'll be back for sure..

Last night was my second time at Azarias and I can't say enough about this restaurant, the food is to die for, love the whole sharable dining idea. The service was impeccable, had the best waiter, and super atmosphere...we were there almost 4 hours, and never once felt we needed to rush and get out. It fills up fast so make sure you have a reservation which thankfully we did both visits!

My 16-year old daughter and 5 of her friends made a reservation, dressed up, had money for dinner and arrived at Azarias restaurant - only to be told that "they don't serve kids". I was very disappointed at the disrespectful treatment of this group of very mature, well-mannered young women. My husband and I will be making a point of letting all of our west-end friends know about this incident and will not be dining at Azarias restaurant again. Young people are our future and deserve to be treated with the same respect as adults.

We went here on a Saturday and it was a great experience. It is usually quite busy so a reservation is recommended. This restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, as it is a tapas restaurant so each dish is relatively small, but they are still priced as a regular dish at your typical restaurant. If you don’t usually eat much and a serving the size of appetizer or two is enough to fill you up, or if you are going with a group of people and you’re willing to pay a bit more, the food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend this to anyone looking for delicious tapas, who aren’t worried about the cost!

It’s been a while since I had such a pleasant experience. First they were able to get a table for 7-8 last min. Very nice of them. The food was delicious, wine was great and staff were very friendly. The short ribs, carpaccio, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms risotto, kingsway beef sliders were my favourites. Also the Lava cake over tiramissu. Due to covid they have this huge patio outside.

Azarias in one word is underwhelming. After keeping its place on Bloor & Royal York for many years, with rave reviews from family and friends, I really thought I would have an amazing dining experience here, when in reality it was just average. Tapas is a great dining style and one I really enjoy, however at this price point ($16 for 2 small sliders) the food better be amazing and at Azarias, it simply wasn't. The dishes were comparable to that of a chain restaurant - just o-k. If you're a local, I would suggest taking the subway downtown to somewhere like Aloette - the price point and dining style are very similar and the food is apples to oranges. I WILL say that the oysters we had were very fresh, but otherwise would not return.

Their food is always delicious, and the ever-changing list of specials makes each visit new and exciting. Their food also hold up well for takeout, which has been great during Covid. I would leave 0 stars if i could. Went here on a sunday afternoon the food was horrible. The only thing that was good were the chicken tacos on special. The sliders were burnt to a crisp. The shrimp was definately rancid. The only nice thing about the place was the server and decor the food was absolutely horribly. i will never go here again and would recommend anyone else to go here. The burgers at macdonalds are better than this place. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Great food --- great service. The only problem: deciding what to eat - sooo many choices! By 6:30 on a Saturday night, this is the hottest spot in the area. So, if you're looking to visit on a Saturday night, consider booking ahead. Mark is the host, and he's great. Pleasure to talk to. And he knows when to leave you alone to enjoy your dinner. The food is terrific. Mostly small sharing plates so you can try lots of different things, but not everything - 'cause you won't be able to :) Since you can't have everything, here are a few of our favourites from the other night: Kung Pao, beef tacos, smoked meat sliders, french fries (I know, but they're really good), beef tenderloin. There's always specials to keep it interesting. Bottom line, you won't have any trouble finding a range of items that will tickle your palate with every bite.

I chose this restaurant to have my New Year Dinner 31st December, 2017 and I had worse dining experience I've had in Toronto. I ordered two plates, they prepared only1. I had to wait to eat with my husband while his was getting cold. The waitress ...apologized. That's ok. They overcharged the bill. So asked our credit card to give the money back and charge again. It is still ok.Reasonable mistake. In the end one bold man appeared being super arrogant, impolite e told me He is the owner. He asked me not go back . I can not believe I had this experience in such civilized country. It is really shame. Traumatic experience. I would like to know If I really spoke with the owner at 31st December, 2017. Tatiana

Hostess was not pleasant, wouldn’t even talk to us. They wanted to bring our food out at different times. The food was okay, it was lacking. The waitresses service was good though. We were outside in a the sidewalk and people brushed up against our table as they strolled by and the drops of a AC condensation falling on us. Won’t go back to this place. PS. Response :I did call to inform the hostess 10 mins prior to booked time, and we were 15 mins later than the booked time. Second, I did not read that you were a tapas restaurant; plus just cuz you say tapas doesn’t mean that everyone understands what that is. I was not going to respond, but had to set the record straight. Kudos to our waitress all the same.

Went there tonight for a celebration with fruy. Wonderfully eclectic tapas menu with an extensive wine list. Third or fourth time I've been there and it's been great every time. Nice addition to Kingsway dining options and there's not a thing on the menu I wouldn't want to try.

I ordered take-out from Azarias for the first time last night and was so impressed! The truffle mushroom risotto and french beans were both delicious, and they even added half a loaf of french bread to enjoy with my meal - much appreciated! Can’t wait until patios open up and I can visit in person!

Was at a friends who raved about the food and ordered take out for dinner. WOW. Was impressed by everything and considering it was take away wasn’t even very hot when we sat down to eat it. Can’t wait to actually eat at restaurant when food is served after it’s made!! Favourites truffle fries, Montreal smoked meat sliders and Kung pao chicken and shrimp tacos! Lobster and shrimp gnocchi was great would have been better with a little extra parmesan and pepper (that u always get at restaurants)! Even the dog was salivating!

Azaria’s quickly became one of my favourite places in Etobicoke! I went for the first time last year and I find myself looking for reasons to go back every couple of months. The dishes are always delicious and I love bringing new friends to experience this place with me! It’s tapas so better to bring more people with you so you can try a number of dishes and share. The specials are usually very tasty and a safe bet that you’ll get great flavours so definitely ask what they are! As for my favourites on the menu, the beef tacos - changed to lettuce wraps - and the short rib are a must! Their oysters and brussel sprouts with bacon are also always a great idea! The atmosphere is lovely, the servers are so friendly and their wine selection is great too. Nothing bad to say about this place!

The food and the ambiance were good but beware of the snooty waiters. You're not gonna get a smile from them. Not even from the manger. I found them downright rude. We wanted to split the bill three way for the fondu and he said no. After we paid he totally ignored us. Before we left he tried to fill up my glasses and when I said we're leaving, he said I have to do it because my boss wants me too. Won't go again.

A great restaurant! Any place where you can get kids to break away from typical foods and try new things is good. They even tried the brussel sprouts (yes, THOSE things) and were willing to have more. Interesting variety of dishes, eclectic, well presented, with attentive and gracious staff who made the evening even better. Certainly a place we'll be going back to.

Overall I was disappointed with the restaurant food quality. Service was excellent. Went for dinner with wife and friends on May 31, 2019. We ordered the Lobster Gnocci - Gnocci itself was perfect, but the dish lacked flavour and the lobster was definitely not the freshest. It almost tasted a little “muddy, ” was a bit overcooked (tough’ish) and I questioned whether it was actually monkfish. We ordered some specials and I was shocked that the Lamb Curry special had unmistakable frozen peas and carrots. The peas were all dimpled and shrivelled in and the carrots where the trademark tiny square “green giant” type. Come on cooks!!! Are you kidding me? We aren’t fools, we know food, we cook food - well. Again the dish was bland and lacked any punch. I know I’m in the Kingsway, but spice it up a little! We also had the Brussel Sprouts, because we heard they were outstanding - again bland and unimpressed. When I prepare these, I blanch them in chicken stock to not only slightly tenderize them, but also FLAVOUR them and then I finish them off in a buttered pan over the stove top to caramelize them a bit. Add some carmamelized onions and some sundried tomatoes and bingo. Believe me there was no BINGO with this dish tonight. It looked fabulous and had all the elements, but too many dishes all night were bland. It was ashame and I was underwhelmed, unimpressed and will not be going back. We should have gone to VIBO. Never had a bad meal there, just down the street. Step up your game Azeria you have lots of competition and if you keep serving this bland food you will fall behind. Tisk-tisk.

We been going to Azarias since day one. It’s fantastic . Has great walk ability for bloor west , Lambton , Old Mill ,kingsway . Food is over the top . Mark is their greeting and welcoming his guests . He introduces himself to all his guests. He has done this since day one and we love it . His old style European ways, family history on the walls . makes you feel welcome as if it was a extension of their home. We also have European hertigage so it’s just like being back with the family. If there were more stars I would post them . Azarias is excellent after all he branded his name on it that says it all! Mark and Heidi and staff are amazing the food and atmosphere matches their class. Next time we dance ????????. Turn up the music and roll out the barrel . I would say Azarias is the busiest restaurant on Bloor from at least Islington to Keele Street! We haven’t been there in a while and made reservations with Heidi for Friday night. At the door was Mark who greeted us like old friends. He’s consummate restauranteur and knows most of his customers by name. The service was efficient and friendly. We enjoy Azarias for the tapas style dining. The food was delicious! The menu was updated since we were last there however the good news was that the popular dishes we remembered were still on the menu. The pictures depict what we enjoyed plus a bottle of Pinot. I would put Azarias restaurant up against any of the downtown restaurants. They get our two thumbs up!

First time in this restaurant, greeted by the owner at the entrance. Did not have a reservation on a Saturday evening but he was kind enough to find us a spot. The food is good and the prices are fair. The service is fast. I would suggest lamb burgers. Tiramisu is to die for.

We had our first meal at Azarias last night, (outdoor seating as required by the COVID-19) guidelines. We had decided to try the restaurant because the menu looked so interesting. We ordered the beet salad which was adequate and then proceeded to 4 cod slides. The “cod sliders” that were delivered were in fact shrimp sliders as we discovered after the first few bites. They were much to spicey for my wife, but I ate the four shrimps without the slaw and taco. I mentioned to the server that shrimp rather than cod sliders were served and she asked with my wife would like to try one cod slider which came over-cooked and with way too much batter. We also had the smoked meat slider which were corned beef, but tastey and the beef dip, which was tender and flavourful. I cannot recommend this restaurant because of the lack of attention to detail in the preparation and serving of food. Moreover, when the bill came, we were charged for the one cod slider, which we should not have because of the error in serving us shrimp tacos and that I interpeted the server’s offer to get a cod slider to make up for the error. Overall, we were disappointed.
