I’ve never tasted Armenian food before and it was delicious !! Eveything was fresh and made right infront of me. It took a bit of time for eveything to be ready, but it was well worth the wait !! Will come back to try something else!

What a nice place! True Armenian tasty food, one of a kind in Toronto. The place is spotless and feels very warm and home like with welcoming friendly staff. No matter what we chose from the menu for freshly, quickly and individually prepared. The only thing we missed was the LLBO for some wine or Armenian cognac to compliment the dishes. Big THANKS to the chef and to the owner for not disappointing us on our visit???? will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This is a newly opened local restaurant that has a lot of place for improvement. Current menu items does little to cater vegans or people who prefer any protein other than pork. It is impossible to to dine inside without smelling like deep fried dough as the deepfryer is located behind the service counter with no ventilation, so if you are planning to go someplace after hitting this joint plan some time to go home and take a shower. I would highly suggest the beef cheek a local delicacy, the meat literally melts in your mouth.

Armenian Bistro offers an excellent menu of the most delicious food. We order or pick up from this restaurant quite often. Chicken shashlyk and chebureki are my family’s favourites. Their dishes are prepared with love and taste like homemade food. The service is prompt and customer-oriented! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant, located in the heart of Etobicoke.

Ordered the Borch and Chicken Kiev. Borch was very good, nothing crazy in flavor which us what i wanted. Good warm beet soup. The Chicken Kiev was with mashed potatoes (yes, real mashed potatoes. A big plus for me). The chicken Kiev was probably the best looking one I've seen, juicy, not oily and beautifully cooked. Simply amazing. I'm happy i found this spot. Feels like good homemade food. Armenian Bistro is a gem! The food is amazing. It’s always fresh and comes in generous servings. Every morsel is made with love. BBQ Meal is outstanding - the meat is always seasoned well and it’s a great crowd pleaser. The Cheburekki are superb - the pastry is thin and crispy yet the meat is so juicy. It’s a must with my every order from the restaurant. Khinkali are also parcels of deliciousness. Everything we have tried over the past year or so has been delicious. The restaurant maintains high standards and consistency for its food. Cannot wait to visit in person and thank the chef for his dedication to traditional regional recipes!

We went in to this bistro for lunch. I asked the Russian lady on the cash register what the most popular speciality of the house was. She responded with a long face "Everything!". I said really? I ordered 2 items from the menu randomly. The food did not look Armenian to me...It was more Ukranian. There was no flavor in the "Armeinan Burrito" but the portion was big. The "Chanaxi soup" was o.k. The food was very mediocre. None of the staff were Armenian...but rather Ukranians who were occupied with something and did not even notice us, except for the cashier who gave us the food and vanished to the back. Just wanted to try this place out for my personal satisfaction. We most likely will not return.

LOL! Look... if you are looking for some great eats, look no further than this place. The Armenian Bistro. I've been here a few times now and this time, I was here because something bad happened and I needed a pick-me-up that no alcohol can do - it's gotta be food! I've tried the whole gambit of foods here but I always go back to their Tonir (Tandoori) foods. They have this amazing oven that just sears and cooks their meats to perfection. For lunch this time, I got myself their Pork Shashlik with Rice and Grilled Veggies. Perfection in each juicy bite and it really hit the spot! I was supposed to be somewhere else but plans fell apart and this place was my Pick-Me-UP and it did not disappoint. The owner and staff here are amazing. Helpful, friendly, and knows how to get you a great meal each time! OH.. BTW - they make things to order, so if you want your food dying at a hot table, this is not the place ... then again, if that's how you want your food, there must be a Crown or Clown Food somewhere you can go. For the rest of us that savour each moment we have to ourselves to enjoy a bite... you can't beat a great home style meal. If you have a chance to go through my pix of the place and there are a lot, you will see that I really love this place. Next time... the dumplings... !!! CHEERS!!!

So glad to try this place! I haven't had Armenian food on my radar until now, and I've definitely been missing out on flavour. Every dish was delicious, and the dumplings were soooo juicy! We ordered kinkali (soup filled dumpling), mix platter (lamb shashik & lula chicken kebab), chanaxi soup (with pork & vegetables— in a ???? just for October), side rice & vegetables. Highly recommend the platter and dumplings!

We ordered the beef cheek on mash, the lamb shashlik on rice, the cheburekki, the khachapuri, and the chanaxi soup. The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the lamb was very juicy. The cheburekki's dough was flavourful and flaky, while the meat inside was still juicy. The khachapuri was a delightful layered "cheese bread", and the chanaxi soup was light but highlighted all the individual flavours of the ingredients. Would definitely recommend this place!

I ordered Armenian burrito and chanaxi soup through door dash. I quickly scanned previous reviews and I don't understand how Ukrainian staff diminishes the authenticity of the Armenian bistro. That's silly to me: that's like saying every pizza joint should employ Italian staff otherwise it is not an authentic pizza. Anyway, the burrito is big. Lol. I'd say two people can split it. Because I am very open minded when it comes to food, I've eaten cuisine from many cultures. Armenian food isn't as exotic or pungent as Indian food but still different and "cool" enough to encourage your picky-eating child to try it.

Just stopped by for lunch and it was a lovely surprise trying Armenian food for the first time! I had their chicken shashlik and chicken pelmeni and both were delicious. I also tried their cake on display and it was so soft and fluffy it melted in my mouth. I definitely would come back again.

The chicken shashlik dinner was good, tasty chicken and nicely cooked rice. The beef and pork Lula lavash wrap was excellent. Ordered through skip and they were very accommodating to my comment request. Their garlic sauce is perfect, exactly how a garlic sauce should taste. Their salad was fresh. Overall pretty good value and tasty food. I'll be trying the borsh soup next time.

I do not typically write reviews, but after a great experience today at the Armenian Bistro, I decided that I have to do it this time. We had pork shashlik, lamb shashlik, khinkali and napoleon cake, and EVERYTHING was fresh and super delicious. Prices were also quite reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. Dine in ordered the beef cheeks Good on flavour, very greasy ,served with four pieces of vegies and what they called pilof ,no good restaurant should ever serve a half-empty plate, too pricey for what they serve, I ask that they remove khatshpori from menu. Very tasty food! Will definately get here many more times! I ordered 3 meals and 2 coffees that was enough for two of us to eat twice. All that for just $35! Armenian burrito (also known as shawarma) was made to order and was super delicious. This is not regular shawarma that you find here, it is not in pita bread it is wrapped in lavash bread, as it is originally made in Armenia. It tastes way better than shawarma from Arabic places. The sauce is natural and simple enough not to overpower the ingredients of the burrito, but at the same time not too simple to stay unnoticed. And the best thing is that you control how much sauce you want. Coffee is not good, but still better than Tummies. If coffee is not the only thing you order, you will not be disappointed.

This is a welcoming friendly local hidden gem in Etobicoke serving delicious Armenian food! This place is full of Armenian decor…so lovely! I am a meat lover and all the grilled meats, stewed beef cheek, and fried chicken breast were absolutely delightful! The kebab platter price is very reasonable! And the pizza and the sides especially the carrot side dish…must try! They also carries products from Armenian. I would highly recommend to call ahead and pick up.

Delicious, well-prepared, and fairly authentic (from what I remember when I was in E. Europe for a few months). While the food prep is slow, it's because everything is being prepared fresh. No freezer junk, which is very much appreciated. Bought a few of their pantry items, like the eggplant caviar, and staff knew I could probably handle spice (not an unfair assumption!) so directed me to the good stuff.

Excellent & friendly service! Food is freshly cooked in front of you, it has flavour, not greasy. Best Luba kebabs ever! We have tried so many kebabs and the ones here are by far the best: juicy, tasty, very generous portions. It is better to order and pick up although they have tables there. Very clean store and washrooms. Just a bit of a problem with their exhaust but they turn it on when you ask. We ordered six main courses for two people! Needless to say that we will have dinner for a few days now. Everything tasted like homemade. Will be back and we highly recommend it! Thanks for excellent experience!!

I really love this place! This middle eastern restaurant was very welcoming from the staff, the pictures on the wall and the cleanliness. The food was simple but yet has some really flavourful punch to the taste buds. To really get the taste you would have to experience it for yourself. Most, if not everything, was made in house and handmade (especially the pasta; it's fresh!) There is enough food for everyone to choose from, vegetarian options, meat lovers (I recommend the beef cheeks!), appetizers, salads, desserts and even Jams sold in jars. Even though this is probably a small portion of Armenian food, I certainly recommend it.

The meals had a great balance of rice, vegetables and meat. The rice was moist and buttery. Most places usually just put one tomato piece as the vegetable but here they also include zucchini, peppers, and onions. They have a special red dipping sauce that is sweet and savoury as well.

Two years ago, the Armenian Bistro opened in Etobicoke with very tasty food and moderate prices. Basically, many visitors order take out food, but the cafe has several tables where you can sit and enjoy genuine Armenian cuisine. Barbecue of chicken, pork and lamb, beef cheeks, cheburekki, khachapuri... are amazing. I brought my friends, children, granddaughter here, we tried almost all the menus, really liked all the dishes, tasty, clean, convenient. Photos with landscapes of Armenia hang on the walls, which remind of this interesting country with an amazing history, ancient castles, organ-like mountains, flowering poppies and hospitable people. The owner of the restaurant Gregory is also a hospitable, polite, professional of his business, it feels like he knows some special recipes for Armenian cuisine. Phenomenal! It was my first time trying Armenian food and I can positively say that I'll be back for more. I rarely write reviews so I felt compelled to write about this gem. I ordered two portions of the Chicken Kyiv and one portion of the Khinkali. The chicken was extremely juicy and tasted homemade! The dumplings were full of flavor and so filling!

Good food and prices for portion paid for. Couple of Armenian products like juice and jams for people who are interested in buying stuff like that while there. Strongly recommend ordering ahead of time to avoid waiting inside. Food does take few minutes more to prepare but its worth it.

Tried it today for the first time ans I am in love! Hatchapuri (trdaditional cheesy bread) was made from scratch and so yummy. Chicken kebab was moist and tasty. Will definitely comeback there again!

Wow!!! 5 stars doesn't do this place justice. Super clean, fresh and flavourful eats. I had no idea what an Armenian style resto \ grill was but I am blown away by the quality of this place. Top of my list in Mississauga right now for food and I'm up there in terms of taste in the culinary department :) check this place out for sure

Unfortunately, my first experience was not so good. I went there late on a Sunday, ordered a Lahmajoun and Chenaxi soup to go. I was very exited! I took the food home (5 mins away) and was surprised that they gave me an under-cooked Khachapuri instead (thick cheese pizza) ☹. I'm sure that the khachapuri, if cooked correctly would have been delicious. The dough was very pasty and cold in the middle… so I chowed down on the cooked crust and it was good :) Still…, I was hoping to try the lahmajoun.. no luck! The chenaxi was new to me (never had that before), but again not great. The meat was very fatty and the broth was under seasoned… I’ll return and try other things on the menu,... maybe the lahmajoun. :D

I went to the Armenian bistro with my friends as I wanted them to try authentic Armenian dished and the restaurant indeed did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing, we had bbq pork (xorovac), xachapuri, chebureki, xinkali and pelemeni. The menu was a mix of Armenian and Russian signature dishes and the taste truly made me feel like I was back home. The staff was absolutely amazing and they showed us the truly Armenian hospitality despite for being very busy. Thank you!

I had the Armenian burrito and the portion was really big which is a plus because that's good value. I didn't find it very tasty though. The chicken kinda just tasted like rotisserie chicken and there was shredded cheese which some lettuce. It was okay. It may have been the wrong thing to order and I'd definitely give it another chance to try something more authentic. Overall it was nice enough to eat because of how big and warm it is.

Freshly made food right in front of you. You have to wait a little, maybe 10 minutes or so,however it is worth the wait. I've tried many things on the menu and so far not a single one was less than great. Food is really home made, the portions are big, and the menu is just big enough.

The Armenian Bistro is my go to spot when I am looking for a delicious home cooked meal. The staff are amazing, friendly and kind. The variety of selection off the menu is the best the beef cheeks and pizza are a must try! I am never disappointed and always leaving wanting more. Nothing Armenian about the food. You should re-name the restaurant Ukrainian Bistro as most of the menu and the entire staff is Ukrainian. I have been to Armenia, have Armenian family and have been to many Armenian restaurants. This place isn’t Armenian aside from the name. Even the decor is more Ukrainian than Armenian. The staff is super nice and friendly, the food was still fine to me.

Very tasty grilled meats and salads that are unique. Definitely recommend getting an order of pelmeni which are Armenian dumplings served with butter. They’re so good. I heard that they make everything in-house as well, including the dough for their Armenian pizza. The beef cheek is also very tender and delicious. Will be back again soon.

After trying Armenian pizza earlier this year, I had to have the cuisine again. I loved trying different dishes at this west end spot and my favourite dish is the Khachapuri (cheese bread). I also found the Lahmajoun (Armenian Pizza) to be visually appealing and a popular traditional item to order. What I like about this restaurant is the family style ambience, the friendly customer service and the home cooked feeling to the food, making it such a warm and comfortable experience. I found that the food tasted good with some dip or sauce and they have these on the side that you can ask for or order. You can call in for pickup or delivery on uber , doordash and skip the dishes.

В нормальном канадском месте вернули бы деньги и извинились, а тут на голубом глазу сообщили: "Извините, мы только открылись, повар тренируется". Ха-ха! Отличная тренировка на клиентах. В конце всучили какой-то чек и на нем кредит в 3 доллара, типа заходите еще. Да, в жизни я в этот дешевую вокзальную забегаловку не пойду.

Although this place is far from anything dance, the food there is amazing. We came 5 mins to closing and the owner was super friendly to make some cheburek for us and stayed after hours to let us finish our meal. Food was very delicious and we really liked this place. Its on my plans next time I'll be in the area. Highly recommend for authentic Armenian food.
