Great food, I hope the business is doing well
We ordered dinner for our staff meeting last night, it was amazing! Fresh, extremely tasty, and very reasonably priced - we give it 8 thumbs up! Welcome to the neighbourhood!
Great coconut milk soup. Friendly staff. Definatly recommend trying out this local gem.
Food was fresh and delicious. This will be my new provider of Thai food.
My wife and I ordered in as a special treat. She had the curry, I had pad see lew. We’re not super picky eaters, and we love Thai food.. but it was gross. It was so bad we ended up throwing it out and making ourselves dinner instead. A real shame. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this one is 100% deserved.
Not good. Pad Thai has barely any flavour, skimped on the protein and vegetables. Spring rolls were just cabbage.
Came here for lunch with a group of 4. Was seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the Mango Thai Noodle Soup. My cousin also got the same item. My grandma got the pineapple fried rice and mom got the pad Thai, which they all enjoyed! Also the lunch special came with either a spring roll or small salad. The restaurant is very spacious and have comfortable sitting. Also there is parking out front. Would definitely come back if I’m back in Victoria, BC.
Ordered take out and received the smallest 2 containers (ginger beef and a sweet and sour dish) that I have ever seen. The cost $30 and would barely feed 1 person dinner. I made a special trip to the restaurant the next day and spoke to the owner who I considered rude and basically made me feel like he didnt care to even listen to me, especially when he said to my face something along the lines of well for every 1 unhappy customer I have a hundred happy ones...and blew me off. I would never eat here or order from here again and I've passed my experience along to everyone I know and will continue to do so. I've never been treated so badly as a customer from any service type business!
Amazing! Welcome to Langford! Lovely staff and fabulous food! I highly recommend the Pad Thai...best I've ever had! My husband had the Thai sweet and sour with beef and a side of rice...I'm going to order that next time! Amazing spring rolls! Prices were good and the portions are great! A new go to restaurant in Langford. What more could we ask for? Top notch all the way! C & C ????
Drunken noodles, green curry, and the ginger thai are all incredible. Drunken noodles are a must try though.
The yellow curry was the best I've had in Victoria, mild may still be a little spicy for some. So delicious, and definitely a must try!
Dinner
Excellent food! It was my first Thai food in my entire life. I’ve already tried their food several times. I always enjoyed my meals. I’ll keep coming to try other menus :)
Goo food@
My friend and I go to Mango Thai and we are never disappointed. Our server is always so nice and the proprietor couldn't treat us any nicer. The food is always so tasty - we couldn't ask for better food, service or personalities of the staff...????
Had the red curry lunch special with a spring roll, it was delicious! I ordered it to go and had it in my hand within 5 minutes of ordering it. 100% would recomend I will be back for sure????????????????
Soup are tasty. However the noodle can be better. Don’t like the shrimp, or the sauce.
Some of the best curry I have ever had. I highly recommend any of their curries.
Service was good. Excellent sea food soup varieties . Usual thai fried rice and noodles.
Tried the crispy wonton, green curry, pad Thai, and the iced milk tea...THE BEST WE’VE EVER HAD!!!
Food: Chicken pad thai noodles were gummy and flavorless, chicken was overcooked and wasn't seasoned, it tasted like rubber. The entire meal lacked flavor. The mild spice was non existent, the medium spice felt like I was chewing on a habenero. The portions size was underwhelming, not filling a standard take out container for $14.00, when compared to a place like Sabhai Thai, which is the same price of $14.00 for just under twice the portion and much more flavor. The atmosphere was wonderful, the furniture is modern and comfortable. The food came very quickly, however the rest of the service left something to be desired. With proper seasoning and cooking techniques the food could be delicious, I'd recommend either slightly lowering the price or slightly increasing the portion size. I Look forward to trying the food again in a few months to see if anything has changed.
Excellent "Mango Thai garden" vegetarian stir fry... made to be "rocket fuel" spicy :)
What a pleasant surprise. One of the better Thai restaurants in Victoria.
Love the quiet location, food and staff! Highly recommend trying something new. Everything is tasty, and the spice is great! Just enough to start to sweat a lil'.
Great food, amazing service. You cant go wrong rating here. I had the red curry, and my wife had the veggie phad thia. We shared the crispy won tons. Everything was perfectly cooked. We had an absolutely positive experience.
Food quality is below average compare to what you pay!!!! Not good value for money
Excellent food. Excellent service. Very reasonable price. We will be back. Highly recommend eating here.
Possibly the worst thai food I've had from a restaurant. Spring rolls came with no sauce, were under cooked and bland. Pad thai was with soggy thin noodles and lacked ingredients and flavour..Red curry was just okay.. super sweet and not really what we were hoping for. All in all disappointed and wont be going back.
Worst place I have ever ordered "Thai Food" from. There is nothing about this place that is actual Thai food. Other than the name. Thai food is supposed to be fresh and full of flavor everything from here tastes like old dirty socks. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never order from here again. Absolutely horrible.
The red curry was mediocre. Filled with shoots and not much other veggies. Pad Thai was very poor. Very disappointing.
Not much flavour for Thai food or spice considering I ordered hot. Pad Thai tasted like plain noodles and the wontons were so pathetically small for what you pay. For the main I ordered, no flavor and so much rice and not much or a main course. Flavourless and not memorable. Wasn't impressed at all. Very disappointing.
Runs out of ingredients and hopes the customer just won’t notice. I ordered the Drunken Noodles dish takeout. When I got home and opened it there was no basil, which is a key crucial ingredient. I emailed them to let them know. They told me because of the weather and the ferries and their supplier blah blah they were out of basil. But “sincerest” of apologies. This review would of been avoidable had they let me know at the time of ordering that there wouldn’t be any basil. Poor business practices trying to undermine the customer. Maybe next time walk across the street to the grocery store and get some damn basil if you’re out or 86 the dish. Duh.
Great food and good ambience. Definitely a do over.
If I could score higher, I would. Incredible does not describe the food, service and staff. The best restaurant in the Westshore. Frank is a great person. Highly recommend Mango Thai to everyone.
A little dissatisfied with my order tonight. Took an hour and 20 minutes to prepare one (1) pad thai. However, since I wasn’t there I can’t be sure of how busy it was. The pad thai was good. Edit: Thank you for your response, totally understandable. Glad business is good ????
Very tasty and Excellent service
First time here, probably one of my least favorite curries I've had! I got the yellow vegetable curry. Very forward on the anchovy paste.. it was very overpowering! Too sweet and not spicy enough, potatoes were undercooked.. pretty disappointed :( especially for the price! *In response to owner:* I have read through the reviews, and I get the impression that people's critiques are not being acknowledged, but rather brushed off.. it would probably do the company a lot of good to take the reviews to heart (since we are your customers), and make some changes. I am very aware that authentic Thai food uses fish sauce in their dishes, I have eaten PLENTY of Thai food in my life. I have never experienced it where that's all you could taste. So maybe instead of quickly coming back with a defensive remark, next time you could try to appreciate the people who are giving you feedback that could help your business.
Great speedy service, delicious food.
Wow I honestly can’t believe their service, 13$ for 1/4 serving of pad Thai the last three times we have ordered. We finally said something to their manager and he basically said too bad. They charged us 6$ for a 5 km delivery! As well as we obviously tipped the driver. Seriously bad service and won’t be ordering there out of principle and I honestly never complain. But just the managers rudeness warrants this review.
I normally never post bad review but this is the worst Thai Restaurant I've ever been to out of all the ones I've been to. I should of sticked with my instinct and went to my regular go to which is Bangkok Thai. Bangkok Thai has way better price and good quality food with good combos whereas here its $16. If it tasted good I wouldn't complain but I ordered the Pad Thai it tasted so sweet and the whole dish just tasted not like the usually pad thai I've tried. Another thing is we asked the waitress about the slush if its $5 she said "yes" so I tried the Thai Slush and got charged $6, I was not fully explained that only certain slush is $5. My Bf also didn't like the fact that he asked if replacing regular rice with Jasmine rice was a charge and waitress said no and then when we got our bill we were charged $2.50 for Jasmine rice. Overall not good experience, pretty much ruined a bit of our day, I notice some bad reviews on here but I thought we should give them a try, but trust the reviews!! And waitress could be new so she probably needs better training?
Second time in, much as the first time, food did not disappoint. Swimming Rama, was to die for. Come on everyone, try it, it's a nice quiet place to have a nice meal. Food quality seems very good to me. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very welcoming. ????????????????
Curry was average. Bamboo shoots were overcooked and kind of bland
Great food, reasonable price and nice staff :)
Great food and lovely staff.
Phoned in at 7pm and asked a few questions about the menu and told the host that we will be there soon. Got a phone call 10mins later saying that their kitchen has closed (they’re closing at 8). Very disappointed with this place without even stepping into the restaurant
Great service, good food.
MangoThai Victoria is a culinary delight. Best Thai food on the Island! Authentic and delicious. We will be back often.
Excellent Thai food. Had the coconut prawns and a red curry.
The service was good but the food was underwhelming. The pad see ew used very untraditional ingredients and the pad Thai tasted like ketchup. The red curry was good.
The service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious definitely would go again and will recommend to friends
Good quality not as much sugar as sabhai Thai and they don’t overcharge you for brocolli if you want to swap it out for bamboo
Great Lunch...
5 stars for Mango Thai. I meet my friend there for lunch every single Thursday. We love the food, the vibes, the service ~ the whole nine yards. Frank, the owner, goes out of his way to make each and every customer feel welcome and satisfied, and Ann consistently creates superb Thai dishes that compel us to return, time and time again. Thank you Mango Thai.
*This is an updated review now that we’ve tried Mango Thai several times* Tested several dishes and every single one has been very well done and tasted much more authentic than other Thai restaurants in this area. I don’t personally find the “rocket fuel” level spice too hot, however I do prefer abnormal amounts of heat, so I’m sure the average person would. It’s no big deal though, I adjust the heat when I get takeout. The owners seem to really care about their new business. They are super friendly and welcome customer feedback. I can’t say how thankful I am they’ve opened such a great restaurant on this side of the highway, we needed this!!!! Also, it’s fantastic that Mango Thai has partnered with SkipTheDishes. Nothing better than having amazing Thai food delivered to your door at the end of a long day!
Great food, big portions, social staff.
If you crave an authentic Thai meal then this is the place to go. Fresh and delicious, definitely will be back for more.
Not authentic Thai food at all - had high hopes since it's close to home and the price is good, but all it is is over-sauced goop. If you've never been to Thailand or have low standards for Thai food, it may be passable as a good meal.
My favorite Thai place in Langford.
Really great curry dishes with nice portions. I love the spring rolls here, too. We usually go on the weekend when it is quieter. We always get the same happy, smiling server; he's great.
We had dinner take out here last night for the first time and enjoyed the food SO much we came in the very next day for lunch. The staff are very friendly, again the food was delicious! My wife loved her soup a lot! The bowl was really large and packed with prawns, chicken, veggies and noodles.....with a really tasty broth! I had to help her finish it, so lucky me! Good job MangoThai !
Love it! The food is awesome!! New favourite Thai restaurant.
In one word: Fabulous.
2.5 stars for efforts. As the owners have responded to another review, their food is catered to the Canadian palate, which is very disappointing because who wouldn’t want genuine authentic Thai food? Catering to the Canadian palate, whatever that is suppose to mean, is a disservice to anyone who wants good Thai food! The Pad Thai sauce tasted of ketchup. The dish had no eggs, pickled radish or chives. The Gai Cashew was lacklustre and tasted like a Chinese stir fry, in a watery sauce. If you’re like me and want authentic Thai, this is not where you will find it. That said, staff was friendly, and service was on time.
Great food.. very delicious ????, portions are just enough...or may be because of the taste i finished faster...
Iv been trying to come here to try their food. But everytime I come by there door is locked even when they say they are open its vary anoyin i think ill stop trying all together Reply to resterant reply. We were there at 11:50am nov 28 door was indeed locked restrant was empty
Good food and service
I don’t want to presume my palate reflects that of the masses here, but I will say, in a city that boasts a number of excellent Thai experiences, you simply can’t afford not to read this review. All three dishes we ordered (including yellow curry? How?)were irresponsibly sweet. Having been to Thailand, I realize that each and every dish has many exciting variations- but none subjected my glycemic index to the kind of abuse it endured tonight. Not one emptied plate, among my guests and I. We simply won’t be eating here again. Good luck to you.
Best Thai food I have had in years! Yes the portions are a tad smaller than other places but the food quality and flavor is ten times better than any where else. (I believe in quality over quantity myself) Keep up the good work, we will reccomend you to every one!
Service was nice & fast. Yellow curry is spicy for sure ( I got a "medium" spice ). But potatoes were barely cooked and same with chicken. I am one that likes curry well done .. that's just me though ! May try other things one day but I had better
So happy I went to check this place out because it's a gem! Good food, great service, I am impressed!
Had Red Curry tonight , Was absolutely spot on , very friendly staff , Was very pleasantly surprised.
I’m a big fan of Mango Thai. They are my favorite Thai restaurant in Langford because their flavor is through the roof delicious. While their service has always been friendly, they recently went above and beyond to correct an order which has me singing their praise here. If you haven’t tried them and you have a penchant for deliciously flavored food, you won’t regret ordering from Mango Thai.
Food was tasty. But Don't pay for the side of prawns. 3 prawns for 4$ was a bad deal
Got the mild red curry with chicken and Jasmine Rice. Flavors were great, though perhaps a bit sweet. Everything was cooked perfectly, and it was big enough that I have some for leftovers. One thing I wasn't expecting was that it was more like a creamy coconut soup, when I order curry I usually expect there to be more vegetables/meat than curry sauce, or that the curry sauce is a bit thick. Otherwise very satisfied.
Praise: We had lunch there, the food was great! I had the pad gra prao (beef), the spices and taste was actually really good, and I've been to Thailand a few times. Wife had mango Thai noodle soup, also really enjoyed the flavor, quantity and spice level To improve : - Would love to see an option to have beef instead of chicken in the mango Thai noodle soup ( was it an option to switch the meat? Didn't see that) - Please, if possible, change your background music. Was pretty much only 90's pop, with songs about getting drunk and whatnot...would be great to have some Thai music or at least something a bit more relaxing Overall we really enjoyed it :)
This place is great! Had the red curry for lunch and it was done perfectly. The spring rolls was mouth-wateringly good. thanks guys I will be back soon and welcome to the neighbourhood.
Great food and friendly staff a must go to when visiting langford
"spring rolls" were not very good. The pad Thai tasted like something that came from a box. So much sauce on it, it was not enjoyable to eat. 100% would not recommend. 0/5 stars
Just basic western style Thai. Pad Thai was thin soggy noodles. Not authentic. Too sweet. Some prawns were undercooked. Not the worst but wouldn’t order again.
Decent food and portions. Staff are very friendly.
Great place! Good food and amazing service.
Your food is amazing and staff is extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with! I’d give a 5 star rating but your portions are far too small for the price you charge. You guys really need to either lower the prices or increase the size of the portions! $17 for a regular size container of rice with prawns is outrageous, although the rice is the only thing on the menu I’ve had that is a regular size...although still definitely overpriced at $17. It should be a maximum of $14-$15, and even that would still be high compared to every other Asian/Thai restaurant around. I’d be willing to pay it though because your food is so delicious. Unfortunately after trying quite a few of your different dishes I don’t think we’ll come back as I just feel a little ripped off every time. A tiny container of stir fry style food (meat and veggies) that only feeds 1 person for $14! That would be an appropriate price if the container was a regular size. My husband is not even full after a full container, WITH rice. Usually for a dish that price it would come in a container that would be enough for 2-3 people to put over rice, or have leftovers. This price does not even include rice obviously, you have to spend another $2.50 on the rice. That makes a chicken or beef and veggie stir fry tiny 1 person container of food $16.50+tax. Honestly the size+price combo you dish is outrageous and it makes more sense to drive the couple extra blocks elsewhere because of this :( I think there’s got to be quite a few other people who have ordered/eaten at your restaurant who have felt the same who would return a lot more if this wasn’t the case. I really hope you consider working on this issue, your food and people are lovely!!
Fantastic service, and excellent dishes. Their red curry is especially outstanding, and their pad thai is also delicious.
It's so easy these days to shoot down a restaurant for something we think is "terrible". This was a hard review to write, but it came down to the people we met working there were genuinely really friendly and amazing. These reviews can be pretty devastating to good people who put their full efforts to give us a great experience (to their best ability). The restaurant was pleasantly nice inside. Now I was suprised because the exterior of a plaza shop is a hard thing to make look decent. And that's not the fault of the business, it's a plaza. the combined decor of the entire length of businesses adds to the facade of any business residing in it. And honestly this end of the plaza I hardly find myself coming to. So once inside, I said "wow, it's rather nice and spacious in here". The server was amazing with his radiant smile, and was quite genuine. Either he is part of the family ownership or a really well treated employee? But this really made me want to like the restaurant more and hesitated when I wanted to trigger a one-star review. The food. okay, this was really hard to review. in 2019, most people going to a Thai restaurant have had real Thai food. Either from Thailand or from some top notch authentic places around BC (and this city). You can't help but compare a restaurant to others you've tried. And this is where the topic of "authenticity" comes up in another review I read. The owner responded with the fact that the chef is from Thailand so it's "authentic". This response had me smiling. The best way to describe the food at Mango Thai is that it feels home cooked. Where I was happy is the food didn't taste "restaurant processed". Because I work in the food industry, I can spot restaurant processed shortcuts that are offered to cut time and increase profits. I was happy the food tasted fresh. Where I was disappointed was the food lacked the usual flavours/spices to the level we can associate with a 5star dish. The Pad See Ew was most disappointing because their choice of the wrong thin-flat noodle which led to the whole composition of the dish becoming messy. (I uploaded the photo in this review) The flat broad noodle is SUPPOSED to be used and brings the Pad See Ew together beautifully in a velvet sauced sensation in your mouth. Prices seem pretty on par with restaurant prices. It's not cheap and it's not expensive. Mango Thai, wish you the best 2019.
average food quality, average service. watch out for the automatic 18% gratuity for groups of 6 or more.
Great Thai food.
great food and lunch specials
We LOVE Mango Thai. Easily my favorite place to order from in the Westshore. Their food is consistent- we have 4 or 5 dishes we always order and we have never been disappointed. Red curry prawns and spicy green beans are AMAZING!! Reasonably priced, super friendly staff - and always notes/drawings or happy faces on our dishes. I can't say enough nice things about these guys.
Decided to get take out with my wife, and it was the worst Thai food I've ever had. My wife had the pad thai, and I had chicken fried rice. It was so bad that we couldn't finish our food and threw it out. Worst Thai restaurant in Victoria
I would drive an hour for excellent Thai food. Lucky for me that Mango Thai is conveniently located in Langford. I’ve enjoyed many delicious meals prepared by Chef Ann and have never been disappointed. Frank ensures their staff are courteous and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Mango Thai is a perfect Thai restaurant in Victoria. I tried Mango Thai Noodle Soup for lunch with little spicy. So amazing. I already recommend my friends come to try and they loved it. Thank you for your serve ❤️❤️
We really enjoyed the service here, everyone was super friendly, polite, and helpful. The food was quite yummy, but not mind-blowing. Overall a very nice sit in visit :)
Nice and cozy and clean atmosphere, wonderful staff, very good tasty and fresh food. Definitely will be back. Portion sizes and price very fair.A must try, very easy to get parking.
Delicious Thai food on the Westshore.
Such yum yum soup...great service to!
Delicious food at a good price point - not the cheapest Thai restaurant around, but the very slight added cost is well worth while for the freshness and excellence of the food. A wide-ranging menu that's quite customizable to fit different dietary concerns or spice tolerances, great service from friendly staff, and some very nice surprises like the mango and sticky rice dessert or the shredded green papaya salad. Definitely worth checking out - and with a flat-rate lunch menu at twelve dollars, popping by mid-day to give it a try is a good plan in my books. Willing to bet that, if you do, you'll find yourself coming back again and again.
Best Thai food in Langford, reasonable prices, very easy for take out, nice staff.
Came here on a week night and it was a very cozy and quiet place to enjoy dinner with my friend and catch up. Shared the Satay and Wontons which were light and delicious then had the Green Curry also Very Tasty! Will definitely be coming back here :)
Last night was the second time we’ve ordered from you and the portion sizes were smaller than the first time which I was confused about. Last time the curry came in a larger size container. I understand quality is important as I’ve read in other reviews but it sounds like quite a few people are not happy with the quantity verses the price. We would return if the price reflected more in the quantity of food. I would give 5 stars for flavour and friendliness though. And when you say you are about quality what exactly does that mean as I find a lot of restaurants are about that. Are your proteins locally sourced? Are your vegetables organic? It’s nice to have that information so customers know what you mean by sourcing quality ingredients for higher price.
Not impressed! Portion sizes are small compared to the price you pay. Lacking fresh vegetables, food was barely warm, noodles were stuck together like a big hockey puck, Chicken satay lacked flavour and our cucumber salad looked like a slimy mess of something that did not smell very good. I tried to post a pic but cant figure out how to get one on here. We will stick to Sabhai Thai next time.
excellent service and wonderful food every time!!
Ordered takeout. Curry super flavorful and very pleasant pick up experience. Will definitely come again.
Flavourful Green Thai curry. We enjoyed the food and highly recommend it!
I came to this establishment on Sunday January 3, 2022. My New Year’s resolution is to try new ethnic cuisine around the city. I was pleased with my decision to visit Mango Thai. My partner and I came for dinner and dined in. We were surprised that we enjoyed our meals here. We ordered two dishes, and shared them; being two of us. We ordered the Phad Prig Khing and Green curry (both with chicken). Both dishes were phenomenal. I couldn’t stop eating the green beans, they were so delicious and full of flavour. The green beans felt “fresh” and had a crunch/snap when enjoying them. They were a savory and umami treat to have. My partner also enjoyed his Green curry and he said, “it’s the best Thai curry he’s tasted.” I tried it also and it was good, the addition of the coconut milk broth made the rice creamy and nice. Food wise the restaurant is great. Moreover, one thing I found unusual at this restaurant is that the music that plays is RNB/Pop type music. For instance, while we were enjoying our meals, we were listening to Justin Bieber - “Stay” and The Weeknd - “Save Your Tears“. I feel this restaurant should play some Thai music to pair well with the food. I felt as if I was listening to the radio while I ate my meal. This is my only feedback to the restaurant - everything else was great. We had a lovely brunette waitress serve us and under her mask, I could sense she was smiling. She was cheerful and pleasant. It was our first time coming to this restaurant and the server was very well informed on the menu and advised us on the “most popular dishes”. We were not disappointed with her recommendations. Unfortunately, we didn’t get her name because she didn’t have a name tag, however if you do go to this restaurant ask for the brunette lady. She provided us with excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight 5/5 would come back and dine in.
Decent food at a reasonable, for Victoria, price but ridiculously slow. Waited over 90 minutes for delivery
Great Thai Food nice staff always delicious ❣
Came in here a couple days ago for dinner, great experience! Had the Pad Thai with chicken and Pineapple curry and rice. All perfectly cooked and very delicious. Highly recommend!
spring rolls: only have cabbage in them and were tasteless. drunken noodles with veggies : veggies were cooked ok but dish has no thai flavour. tasted like it was seasoned with mr noodle packets *edited to add* why no tofu option for any of the dishes ??
Thought I was ordering vegetarian entrees through Doordash, but it was cooked with fish sauce. Now I can't eat those dishes, they have a strong fish sauce smell. Restaurant called to explain that fish is not meat. Not going back.
AMAZING This family owned business is incredible. They are so flippin’ nice! The food is phenomenal and beautiful. Actually, the food is so good that I recommend ordering your take-away a few hours before you plan to eat. Because of Covid, dining in is closed and they get swamped with orders at dinner time. It’s well worth the wait if you choose to order during busy times. Our faves: Shrimp toast ( you have to ask for this one as it’s not on the menu) Red Curry, Mussamun curry, deep fried wontons, spring rolls and OMG- THAI ME UP ROLLS are INCREDIBLE.
They serve Chang beer here! Service is also good - Pad Thai however was a little disappointing but the papaya salad was on point! Went for the third level spice and still not really that spicy.
Service
Have been around. Tried many different Thai food. This is my favorite to date hands down.
Mango Thai has provided me with friendly service and in my opinion the most deliciously authentic Thai experience in the Victoria area. After living in Thailand for a few years it is nice to have a place to go that brings back some of those good food memories.
Delicious curry! Very clean and the staff are incredibly polite. As it is a new restaurant, we liked that they asked for feedback on the level of spice and other things. Definitely will be back.
Went here for the first time last night. Absolutely delicious food and top notch service. We will definitely come back to try more amazing dishes!!
Ordered dish on skip the dishes with you guys. Took forever to get here and was extremely proportion. Pathetic
Ordered pad Thai tasted really sweet like ketchup. Had only two bites and sent it back. After waiting along time. Was really looking forward to some authentic Thai food. Will not be returning. one good thing was the servers were nice.
First time ordering from Mango Thai, the Vegetarian Spring Rolls were AMAZING!! Best I've ever had!! My son had the Red Curry dish & loved it. I will definitely be ordering those spring rolls again!
Food for individuals at our table arrived 10 minutes apart. Portions were small. The Chef, visible from dining room didn't wear face mask while cooking during Covid.
Great!
Great food
My first visit was with my friend. We ordered, at our servers recommendation the “Thai Me Up” rolls appetizer. They were amazing!!! My friend had one of the curry dishes and I had the Ginger Thai. Both were excellent. Our server was quiet, unobtrusive, super efficient, very knowledgeable about the menu.
Excellent service and food!
Lunch at Mango Thai was great. Small lunch menu with very pleasant staff. The soup noodle was good. Also had a beef rice combo. Lunch specials come with salad or spring roll. For 12$ lunch special is about good value. If you are in the area try it out.
Nice takeout packaging. This is the first time I have eaten Pad Thai and it tastes amazing.
The food in Mango thai is so taste and they have so many different delicious food, i go every weekend with my friends and enjoy the food over there. They have a nice staff and have friendly environment with a professional Chief. You must go there and enjoy the food
+Excellent Tasting Food with Good Portions. Good Variety of Authentic Thai Food ! Priced Reasonably well than other places. Attentive and Helpful staff. Covid Rules Compliant. Dining area was Clean and Organized with a relaxing ambiance. Stay Safe , Enjoy Life , & Be Kind to Yourself and Others. :-)
This place is great. I order off Skip the Dishes while working and have it delivered to my door. Fabulous red curry and an easy 5 stars for these guys.
Pos: great service, lots of varieties, priced fairly for the quantity of food. Free parking. Easy to find. Decor is open and clean. Seating arrangement is spacious. Thai iced tea was fantastic. Cons: Food was a bit bland. Cream cheese over powered the seafood eggroll. Pad Thai was a bit soggy like pasta boiled too long (we ate at the restaurant in respond to the reply down below). Compared to other Thai restaurants in Vic, it didn't really bring back memories of Thailand. Price of extra toppings did not really make sense. Overall it is okay. Since this is a new restaurant, will return in a year to try again.
Really disappointing. I called in a take-out order at 5:30 asking to pick it up by 6:45. When I got there to pick it up, I was told it would be an additional 10 mins. 30 mins later, I was given my order. I was hoping the food would be better than the service but was disappointed again. The wontons and spring rolls were soggy (so clearly they were ready and sitting while the other food was being prepared), the rice was mushy and the curry was just so-so. If you're looking for good, warm tasty Thai which is actually done on time, skip this place and go to Sabhai Thai.
Best Thai food in town! This family owned restaurant has an extensive menu with something for everyone. Frank and Ann have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere with great food. My husband and I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed.
Loved the taste. Waitress always smiling. Good portion. Lots of parking. Food is made with mild to extreme heat which is your choice.
great food, great owners. They make you feel that you are on the streets of Phuket getting some Cashew Chicken from a little hut on the side of the street, my favourite lunch spot.
Tasty 'pad Thai' and 'Mango and Rice's desert
Love the drunken noodles with beef -- extra spicy, and the spring rolls. I've found their staff to be very accommodating of our families dietary concerns and I enjoy ordering via app. Thanks for dinner!
Always enjoy coming here for the food and service.
this is hands down the absolute worst north americanized asian cusine i've ever had. everything we got was SO greasy and a few advertised ingredients were missing from each dish. there was only one overworked server so everything took a very long time or order and receive. it was just an overall bad experience.
Best Thai in Langford. Good value and friendly service in a clean restaurant
Pineapple curry was absolutely delicious! Iced thai tea was also superb and the pad thai was one of the best I have ever had! Had the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was very flavourful and aromatic without being too sweet. The service was also fast and fantastic and everyone was very friendly. I would attach photos but for once I was too busy enjoying the food to stop for a picture. This is now my favourite place for thai food! I can see why some people in the comments are complaining about the portion sizes, but honestly it really isn't that small and I personally would rather have a smaller portion of high quality food than a big serving of something average. 10/10!
One of our favourite restaurants! Delicious food and great service, always a great experience here. Hard to choose a favourite dish, but the Swimming Rama is definitely a favourite of family as is the pineapple fried rice. Highly recommend Mango Thai- you won't be disappointed!
I visited Mangothai Restaurant and ordered Pad Gra Prao and my friend ordered SeaFoods Platter. This was my first Thai food. It was an amazing experience. Thanks to Mangothai Restaurant, I can try whatever Thai food. And they were very kind to us and we could enjoy it. Thank you for making good memories of Thai food. And I'll go back when I'm in Victoria. If you're looking for Thai food, come to this restaurant.
Best Thai food we've ever had in Canada. We ordered veg spring rolls, crispy wontons, chicken satay stix, veg green curry and red curry, Pad Thai -- all were fresh, authentic and very flavourful. The cheesecake with mango sauce and homemade mango pudding were super delicious too. The owner and staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again!!
Exceptional food, and exceptional service. Food is reasonably priced and I can't say enough good things about the service. Their attention to detail is astounding and greatly appreciated! :)
The food was horrible, could have cooked it way better than what they are dishing out. Prices are outrageous for the quality of the food. All I can say is save your money, go elsewhere. The food is horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible. Whoever gave this place positive reviews do not know what authentic thai food is. So skimpy on the meat portions too, with a small scattering of vegis. I’d rather eat McDonalds than this stuff, and I don’t eat McDonalds. Never again. Pay attention to reviews. Lots of people are complaining about this place. I notice how the owners are full of excuses in their responses to negative reviews. Try listening, instead of defending.
Dine in
Hands down the best thai food place I have ever been to. The service is always great and quick. The food is always hot and flavorful and the restaurant has a very laid back ambiance. This is a great place for a anything, a family dinner or a date night!
My wife and I tried them today for the first time as we ordered takeout and we were both impressed. Food is really good, prices are fair and portions are good as well. We live in the Langford area and we just found our to go Thai restaurant.
My favourite Thai pad in all of Vic
We ordered takeout tonight after a long day and it was AMAZING! So so yummy! We tried the “Drunken Noodles”, Spring Rolls and Red Curry… all tasted so good. Thank you so much for allowing me to have a night away from the kitchen. We highly recommend Mango Thai!
