Hands down my favorite coffee shop and roaster on all of Vancouver Island. The owner is so passionate about his craft and really seems to enjoy serving up the highest quality coffee possible, as well as helping customers find their perfect beans to take home. Some other roasters do come close, but ERC is definitely the best in my opinion. Just phenomenal coffee through and through.

The mocha was perfect. Chocolate had just the right amount of sweetness. Espresso was smooth and malty. Not even a hint of bitterness or burnt flavor. If you want good coffee, this is the place.

My favourite coffee in town. Smooth, not bitter/acidic. Doesn’t hurt my stomach. Family owned and operated-you can tell they care a lot about quality! Love bumping into/seeing locals here and chatting with Greg, the owner, when it’s not busy. Owner’s fave drink is a traditional cappuccino ???? Cortado is really tasty too. We, like many locals, but our ground coffee here too. At times, maybe 1/10 coffees, I get a cup that is a bit bitter, but that’s usually when it’s busy. SO, if that happens to you, I still suggest coming back for more tries. I brought a visiting friend here who checked out a bunch of cafes in Vancouver and said this was the best.

Visiting family for the long weekend, popped in for a coffee on the recommendation of a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The owners are welcoming and personable and their espresso is phenomenal! Went back for more this morning as well as a bag to take home but they're closed Sundays, I was bummed. Will most definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Fantastic little roastery on the come-up deep in the ESQ. Greg is absolute tops, the whole space is great, nice pricing, and the small sweet selection is well-curated. I’m so happy to see another roaster not getting pulled into the dogmatic “hyper-light-roasts-only” mentality and aiming more into the chocolatey, earthy mediums & darks - not unlike Bean Around The World’s stuff. I wish they could have more variety in beans available at any given time, and I feel like the bar work could improve in consistency, but overall a great shop and one to watch - especially as they move into the new location!

Perfecting an espresso blend ... Today I tried ERC's espresso (a blend of 4 south american single source arabicas) - Wow: lot's of crema, bold enough without being too bitter, low acidity, full-bodied. Worth the trip. Across the street from Memorial Park and Esquimalt Adventure Water Park. Highly recommended.
