Not only a classy setting (perfect for a date), but ACCESSIBLE!! To be fair, I didn't use the facilities while I was there so I can't testify to the stalls or the doors, but the area through the restaurant was open and clear (hopefully not just for COVID). The door was not automatic, but there was an accessible ramp clearly marked and clear of snow! It was decently warm temperature wise, but with cold furniture with no padding (so dress warmer than you think). Recessed lighting and minimal decor/plants made it a bit too stark for my taste, but still kept a quiet class which I enjoyed. The food was lovely (I had a pre-selected menu). The wine service was consistent and from all around me I heard approvals. I personally don't drink and so when I ordered something non-alcoholic I didn't feel odd about it, nor did they treat it that way (as some places do). The fries with garlic aioli were AMAZING (I ate 3/4 of our tables); a must try! There wasn't too much street parking, but there was an impark lot just accross the street, along with a passenger loading zone directly in front of the building (perfect for wheelchair/power chair users!) Overall lovely experience. I'll definitely be keeping this on the list for a future date spot!

Was invited by a friend who raved about the food. We were not disappointed. The appetizer of Escargo was out of this world and the Rib-eye steak ($42.00), was simply the best steak I've ever had. Definitely recommend as a special evening destination as it's no an inexpensive destination. having said that, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is very good without any pretentiousness from any of the staff.

Went here for my 7th year anniversary and I was not disappointed!! The food came out and there was a lot of food on my plate as I had left overs. The waitress was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The atmosphere was romantic and intimate. The place was packed as well. Looking around I saw everyone smiling and having a good time. I would go here again as I know it was a great experience. I would save it for a special occasion.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were offered a seat at the bar while our table was readied. 'The Marc' cocktail was a nice start to the evening. I had the steak tartare and the flank steak special, both were excellent. Our waitress helped us choose between two wines we had in mind for the evening. The wait staff were lovely and attentive. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The burger was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, super juicy but not pink. It came with caramelized leeks, bacon, arugula and goat cheese. The goat cheese was so delicious and melted with every bite. The beignets for dessert were hot and fresh and you could tell that the caramel sauce was house made. It was amazing. If you go on Wednesday's they have the burgers as a special. They aren't on the regular menu. I highly recommend trying this burger and the beignets.

Went to The Marc with a couple of friends for dinner. Service was great! Wait staff was very attentive and non-intrusive. Dinner on the other hand could still use some tweaking. We started off with the pate and courgette blossoms. Flavour of the pate was good, but it was so hard you couldn't spread it on the crostinis provided. Courgette blossoms were amazing. Well seasoned and you could really taste the crab meat on the inside. Now onto the mains. My favourite dish of the night was the lamb. The combination of the yam purée with the pearl onions and pea shoots were absolutely delicious. I usually like eating my lamb medium rare, and the lamb was cooked to well done, but the flavours were really well balanced. My next favorite dish was the Cornish hen. Perfectly moist and the skin was crispy. The green tomatoes added a nice hint of acid to the dish. The pork main was delicious as well. Although I wish they had cut the pork belly into smaller pieces. It was so hard to cut into the crackling. Pork always pairs well with apple and fennel, so this was a winning combination for me. The two dishes we didn't enjoy very much were the grilled octopus and Arctic char. Octopus was very well cooked, but lacking in flavour. I felt the dish was also very dry. It needed a sauce to really tie all the elements together. The Arctic char although cooked well, was over salted. To finish off we had dessert. Lemon tart was a little grainy and the pastry was tough. The chocolate torte was delicious though. Walnuts and salted caramel were a great addition to help balance out the sweetness. We also had the beignets. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Best dessert of the night. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back.

However the quality of the food and service was worth every dime. I will definitely visit again. Good idea to make a reservation and preorder your meal and arrive a little before noon if dining in group.

I’ll start by saying that the service was great and the atmosphere and patio were very nice. That said, the food was not good at all; terrible if I’m being brutally honest. In fact I couldn’t finish more than 25% of my plate. The flavours weren’t complimentary (conflicting in fact), the meat was dry and poorly seasoned and the vegetables were lifeless. We ordered the octopus appetizer, the pork entree and the fish entree. None of them were satisfactory. The food here, while unapologetically unappetizing, was also considerably overpriced. Any restaurant where I’d rather leave my food than eat it is an altogether fail; I’m sorry to say that while I had high hopes for The Marc it was a complete flop.

STOP BROWSING AND MAKE A RESERVATION! So I wanted to take my wife somewhere nice for her 29th birthday tonight. I searched top restaurants in Edmonton and after browsing many restaurants I decided to make a reservation through open table at a place called The Marc. The reviews were good, the ambiance looked nice and the food was well spoke of. I put in a request to have a nice table when booking my reservation on open table. When we arrived we were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess (could have been a waitress) we gave our name and she said oh yes we have the perfect table set aside for you. I had mentioned in my booking request that we have terrible luck with restaurants in Edmonton. Either poor service, bad food or both. I asked that we be sat somewhere nice. We were sat in the corner by the windows with a nice view of the patio. First ✅. Our server came over and introduced herself as Charlotte. She took our drink order and had them on the table in a matter of minutes. I had the tequila mule. Wow was it good. She then took our order and recommended some items. She couldn’t of been more right. We had the daily soup and a Cesar salad with a cheese plate to start. They all came out immediately and were delicious! Our entrees came out around 10 min later. I had the 10oz ribeye and my wife had the lamb. Both were incredibly well cooked and the perfect portion amount. After dinner our server offered us dessert and since everything else went so perfectly we felt it was necessary to see the dessert side of things. Well they didn’t fail there either. I told our server that this was literally the best meal we have ever had in Edmonton. From the food to the service it was all incredible. My wife’s birthday was a complete success from morning to night and I owe a huge thanks to The Marc. Don’t waste anymore time searching for restaurants you haven’t tried and go to this place. Ask for Charlotte. You won’t be disappointed. I gave her the biggest tip I’ve ever given someone before because she earned it. Sincerely Very happy customers Terry and Sydnie

A 10 oz is BIG, and I anticipated when ordering, that I would probably not be able to finish it but anticipated maybe taking leftovers home. But no, It was that good! Thinking our date night might be ruined we decided to see if we could get a table at the Marc and as luck had it we were able to get in. The atmosphere was relaxed. The service and food were amazing. Our waitress was very attentive without making us feel rushed. We spent 2 1/2 hours drinking, eating, talking and laughing. Date night saved. We will be back!

Good restaurant but nothing really "wowed" me. Service was excellent. Owner is also very nice and friendly. Started with the pate, crab cake, escargot Bone marrow, grilled octopus, arugula salad, frites, and merguez sausage. My favourites were the crab cake, merguez, and salad. The truffle aioli for the frites was very tasty. Everything else was good, but not great. For the mains we shared the rack of lamb and artic Char. Again, it was good but nothing wowed us. The fish had nice and crisp skin, the squash puree and zucchini were very good. Felt like the lamb had to be seasoned a touch more but it was good. They told us it would come out medium rare but it came out rare. I didn't mind though because I prefer rare. I would come back to try other items on the menu.

It became so special for the two of us that I proposed here. Management is very caring and the Steak is always the best in town. Always get the cheese platter and if the special is fish with a blood orange gastrique don't miss it

I called The Marc on family day to see if they were open and I believe the owner answered the call and informed me they were closed. He then asked what type of food we were looking for/area of town and gave me a personal recommendation. I thought was truly awesome he took the time to do that. I've never tried the food yet, but I'm so impressed the next chance I get I'm going to bring my family here. Considering how management handled a call, I can only imagine the rest of the staff will be top notch!! Thank you very much can't wait to eat here.

We had the best meal again! Service by Lulu spot on. She's an absolute pro which makes the whole experience that much better. Took a friend for a bro date, we both had or still do work at the workshop eatery. Place was quiet upon arrival but was full before we left (19:15-21:30) Service was awesome. Host Hung our coats and got our drinks started. Server was knowledgeable. And was in no rush to get us fed. She was awesome in short. We started with the octopus and steak tartar. Both were very flavorful. Tartar was a bit peppery but I like pepper so I loved it. Octopus was cooked perfect. But we found it to be a little on the small side. My friend had the pork shoulder with gnocchi. Gnocchi was very nice as was the pork shoulder. I had the lamb rack. They cooked it to about medium. Seasoned well confit sunchokes were awesome. Needles to say we were happy (but hungry) For dessert we had the doughnuts and chocolate cake. Cake was 10/10 but the creme anglaise for the doughnuts was lacking in flavour. Rest was awesome. With drinks and all it was reasonably priced. I've definitely paid more for worse so no complaints !

A disaster just about from the beginning. I asked my server to recommend a nice dry smooth wine .She replied tha everyone's different. What you think is sweet I might find dry. The server decided she would ask another server and between them , I was given two options which I declined both and so she brought me a third tester and I settled . During our dinner our server that happened to be a bit oversized had her butt in our bread on our table unknowingly to her I guessed as she was taking an order from the guests sitting next to us. My husband's dinner was average and very Canadian . My dinner was not edible and so I returned it . After that the server was cold to us . We did not feel welcome . The servers all seemed to gave little experience in serving and I expect a professional server in a fine dining setting. Perhaps Edmonton has a huge shortage in servers. So terrible service terrible food and ok atmosphere .

Took my boyfriend to The Marc for his birthday and everything was amazing. He got the arctic char and I got the rack of lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Arctic char with the crispy skin and the lamb roasted beautifully to a medium to medium rare. We also got the grilled octopus and Caesar salad to start which was also so delicious. The service at this restaurant was impeccable also. We never needed to wave her down for anything because she would already be bringing what we needed to the table without us asking for it. She was also really easy to talk to and really friendly. This was a super amazing experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I went to The Marc only because their steak was voted best in Edmonton. I loved the fries and truffle mayonnaise as well as the greens, but the steak was very disappointing. It was the thinnest rib eye I've ever eaten, which also made it very hard to cook properly so it was overdone. The knife I was given was struggling to cut the steak because it was dull and the steak was tough. The flavour of the beef is hard to describe, but it tasted too earthy without any salt. I have had much better rib eye elsewhere and would not recommend the steak here. The service was great and friendly.

Amazing, impeccable service. The server was friendly and very knowledgeable. Always kept out drinks filled, water and wine, and as well they kept bringing baguette. Overall nice ambiance. The food was overall delicious. However the ribeye was good it could have been a tad more flavourful, the side of frite was quite mediocre. The frite, well fries, were frozen quality. For the price you're paying I'm expecting every aspect of the meal amazing. Despite that the remaining meals, coq au vin and appy, was perfect. Great place for some French cuisine.

Unfortunately we were disappointed as the Ribeye was overcooked, tough, and generally underwhelming - The fois gras butter and truffle aioli was a nice touch though. The Arctic Char was okay, the Beef Short Ribs were good, and the Escargot & Fois Gras appetizers were great. The service was excellent!

The Marc is a French casual/fine dining restaurant serving some of the best food in Edmonton. I call it casual/fine dining because even though the restaurant is formal, you will not feel out of place if you're not wearing a suit. The wait staff is friendly and not pretentious. The appetizers are well proportioned and varied. There are multiple appetizers that feature a large amount of bread, so plan accordingly. The shallots and pork belly is amazing, but very rich.

We have dined many times at The Marc but it seems like things just keep getting better here. My wife and I joined them for dinner two Saturdays ago, ordered a cocktail, glass of wine each, app's and dinner. The service was very warm, friendly, attentive and professional. The environment was not too loud, casual but with a smooth polish that makes it great to dress up for a nice meal without any extra expectations. The owners are very hands on and friendly, you can see their passion and love for what they do. The kitchen always has something new to offer on the menu, and you can trust that no matter what you order, it will be superb. Always a pleasure and we will continue to be long term repeat diners at The Marc.

My husband and I had an AMAZING dinner here! From the wonderful aroma of the dishes, to the incredible flavors, to the generous sizes ~ it can't be beat! To start we had the arugula salad and pomme frites. I had the scallop gnocchi dish and my husband had the duck. We were both THRILLED with our choices. The service was great but the food was quite disappointing. I had the octopus, fish and pork shank. The octopus was over-cooked and the dish was badly plated. The fish was creative with rhubarb garnishing however it just turned out to be a mix of confusing tastes. The pork shank was dry, smelly and disappointing as well; in addition the vegetables, usually my favorite part of a meal, were a flavorless mush. The portion sizes were alright but pricy. We imagine that most of what we experienced is typical to the venue, which is not a problem if you enjoy the food, we however did not.

Patrick and Doris were a godsend! COVID-19 completely derailed our wedding plans but they helped us rescue the reception. They were able to accommodate a small evening reception in the middle of the pandemic that was safe and socially distanced, even while making room for our audio-visual vendor and his equipment to deliver a virtual experience to our loved ones unable to attend. Their staff were plentiful, attentive and wore masks the entire evening. The food was amazing, as always! They accommodated our vegetarian and gluten sensitive guests and our specific tastes (divine crab cakes, delicious beignets and serving our favourite beers and scotches). They even put together a late-night lunch that met their high standards and really capped off the day. We had one of our first dates at the Marc and to have them play such a big part in our wedding was special, especially in these trying times.

My husband and I went here for our Anniversary dinner and we were very happy! My husband had their barley soup and wagyu beef special. The beef was cooked to his liking and was very tender. I ordered the bison flank steak with mushroom risotto. The steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare and the risotto was phenomenal. We will definitely be back again to try their other dishes! Friendly, knowledgeable and passionate staff. The food was amazing (the duck, and fish, as well an escargot appetizer). Maybe the chocolate cake could use a little less sea salt, but that's okay. The Americano was also very much on point - most restaurants of similar quality seem to have a watered down coffee, this was definitely not the case. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and would enjoy coming back again to try something different!

The Marc provided my wife and I with an absolutely amazing anniversary dinner at home. It was delicious. I'm looking forward to doing it again. I ordered and picked up the food without any hassle. Eating at home my wife and I didn't need to rock paper scissors who was the designated driver, we didn't have to get a babysitter, and we didn't have to worry about parking downtown. Maybe best of all, because we made Kraft Dinner at home, we didn't have to hear our kids complain about having to eat absolutely delicious food in the restaurant.

We had the beef tartare, meuwly’s capicola, the salmon rillette, and the housemade country style pate. All were really good and served with little slices of toast. The tartare came with toast and housemade potato chips. My friend said to the waitress that I thought my drink would have been sweeter she quickly took it away and brought it back full and sweeter. The wait staff were all very nice, I’d go back again.

The only downside is trying to find parking (but that's what happens when you are dining in the downtown area). Either way, this place is worth the parking prices. My colleague and I come to Edmonton from New York once or twice a month, and we eat here once -- if not twice -- per visit. It has an upscale quality while remaining casual and unpretentious. The staff and management are always friendly and welcoming. The food rarely disappoints and is mostly excellent. Prices are not cheap, but not too outrageous for the quality, either. I went to The Marc with work friends and was very pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem of a restaurant. The building that it os in is unremarkable and you wouldn't even know that a spectacular French restaurant was tucked inside. The French service exceeded expectations; it has been a long while since I have been really impressed with the hospitality and proper use of serving etiquette at a restaurant. Often, French menus are quite short since they offer a higher quality of food to make up for the smaller selection. The Marc had more menu selections than I expected, but the quality was on point. Some of the menu items were French fusion, but there were also some traditional offerings like Duck Confit. I was there for lunch and they had several specials including a soup. I had a rack of lamb which was perfectly prepared. I honestly can't remember what was in the rest of my dish, but it was astoundingly delicious. French food is an experience and I was not let down. My whole table was immersed in their food and really enjoyed the flavours and presentation of their dishes. I found the cost of the lunch menu to be very reasonable with most dishes hovering around the $20 point. I will definitely return.

Love the Marc, hands down some of the best dining in Edmonton. I was also on the team that opened this gem, and I consider it a defining experience in my career. Go for the steak frites and, if available, try something with offal, they will turn you on to the weird stuff, guaranteed. The fish of the day is always a great choice too. my wife and I go to the marc for every occasion we have. we are always greeted right away by the wonderful owners, and made to feel very welcomed. each of the servers are spectacular, and do everything they can to make the evening personal and memorable. the entrecote frites is easily the best steak I have ever had in my life. no matter where we travel we always use this steak as the comparison measure of other meals, and so far nobody has ever been able to beat it. the hard work this restaurant puts in never goes unnoticed, I wouldn’t change a single thing.

The service was 4 stars the food is 3 stars the atmosphere is 2 and a half stars all in all just ok place. Not a good place to bring dates! It's a very small restaurant almost as big as a regular fast food dining area and there's no privacy, very cramped and loud with all the tables just 2/3 feet away from yours. There's more big tables for bigger groups of people so it's more of a place to bring family or coworkers the food is fancy itself being all french style with fancy liquor but I was a bit disapodisapp I ordered the Entrecote Frites witch is basically steak and fries I ordered it medium rare but it was more rare than anyting and half of the small steak was mostly fat and not enough actual meat the cover up that the steak was so small they dumped three-quarters of the plate with fries I was disappointed for such a high price

Walked in around 1pm on a weekday. The place was packed but we were greeted warmly by the manager(I'm guessing), hand shake and all. He told us they're full but will do his best to get us in. We saw him move a few people for us and within 5 mins we were seated. Super impressed. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food was served fast and were beautifully plated and delicious. We particularly liked the special of the day. The washrooms were thoughtfully decorated, one of them even has a change table (and not just the koala ones on the wall). All in all, thought this place was very welcoming and was hands down our favourite restaurant experience in Edmonton. Highly recommend.

One of my favourite restaurants in Edmonton! Consistently great quality food, always well prepared, with great staff. It may be a little pricier than some other places, but I always think that the price was worth, especially compared to other chain restaurants that are more expensive. Also a great lunch menu that is well priced, and you can be in and out in an hour. One of the best!

I first visited this restaurant back in 2014 and it remained as one of the best places (for dinner, special occasions, etc.). The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. The servers are nice and knowledgeable. In terms of food, their escargot is definitely worth trying. The tartare was also quite interesting. For entrees, their steak is definitely worth getting (the foie gras butter really adds uniqueness to the steak).

Ate at 'The Marc' in January 2013 and was immensly pleased with everything. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about all the menu (from drinks to desserts). The food was what I'd call 'Modern French'. Not quite the rustic staples of Provence, but food that you 'know' is French, even if it's updated to 2013. My duck was spectacularly cooked and the lemon tart for dessert was delicious (so was my fellow diner's beignets). The owner seemed to make the rounds at least once to make sure everyone had been greeted and was happy. I honestly can't say there was one thing that disappointed about the whole night. I've eaten at almost every upscale restaurant in town now, and the Marc is one I'll be going back to as soon as possilbe. As a final note; Try the steak tartare. Be a little brave and your mouth will thank you for it. It's better than a number of the tartares I had even while staying in France. Edit: Have come here several times again most recently in June 2014 and the place is still spectacular. Patrick seems to still either greet you at the door or make the rounds. The food is still fantastic and consistent. Occasionally the servers are a little less exceptional. Never bad, but there are a few that are faaaar better than others. Not enough to deduct a point from. Hands down my favorite restaurant in town.

My husband and I went to the Marc for our first anniversary. It was wonderful! The drinks were great. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was very cozy. We were so full that we couldn't have dessert, but they sent us home with a super delicious chocolate cake for our celebration. It was a great experience! Would highly recommend.

My husband , daughter and I were there this evening . I've been told it's amazing .. we had the escargots and the tartar which was good . My husband had the octopus which was very strong my daughter has a lamb which was OK and I had the steak which was OK but close to the end of the meal my daughter asked to have a bite of my arugula salad which I'm not very fond of anyway needless to say I did not make a fuss about it until the waitress came over and I pointed it out to her and all she said was sorry they did not take it off the bill they only took off our beignets we had for dessert . totally disappointed in the service managers did not come by owners did not come by will never go back there again

Full disclosure: I have never dined at this restaurant. However, I worked for several years with the owners, Patrick and Doris Saurette, and I can personally and professionally attest to their shared commitment to providing their guests with a superior dining experience. When the world finds its equilibrium again, I have promised my family that we will be visiting Edmonton. There is not a chance that I would return to the 'City of Champions' without making a stop at The Marc a high priority. Well worth supporting in good times and bad!

The food was okay, but a little bit pricey. I was expecting this restaurant to be a fancy restaurant, but when i went there the atmosphere of the restaurant was very very casual. The food was fancy but the price didn’t match the atmosphere. I think, you guys want to be a fancy French cuisine restaurant. I think you guys must match uniforms at least. The servers wore what they wanted and didn’t match each other so it looked very unprofessional. The taste was okay but it’s not a fancy restaurant. It’s a casual restaurant. Lower your price, or set your bar higher.

Wow, can I just saw 'wow'. We had a delightful and romantic birthday dinner at the Marc. The food was rich and flavorful. We ordered a salad and snails as apps and they were very tasty. The main entrees were pork belly and duck confit which were perfectly cooked. The service was also divine. We will come back again.

The marc has been around for several years. And during the first year of opening I had several issues with the food. Initially quite disappointing flavours and poor service. But now this has all improved and has uped my rating from average to outstanding!Located just off of Jasper avenue in a little corner (you wont drive by it unless you are looking for it) Theres ample street parking after 6pm.

Foods was excellent and the service from our wait staff was very good. She was helpful, friendly but not overly intrusive. All the food came out great. My son had some initial concerns as vegetarian selection seemed small but there were two very good choices and both were excellent (especially the Crepes!!). We are so glad we went. We were there prior to going to the symphony so could not stay very long and would like to try some of their desserts next time. We will definitely be back.

Classic French cuisine in an intimate and elegant setting. I have tried the steak tartare, which was excellently prepared and flavoured. I have also had the steak a few times which is good and high-quality but not always as well executed and flavourful as steakhouses that specialize in steak. Their other entrees and appetizers have always been flawlessly prepared with balanced flavours. The seared scallops with bacon were really tasty. The wine selection was good, however, I found the beer selection a bit limited. The service and quality of ingredients are high-end and reflected in the price. They have a great central location and a nice quiet patio in the warmer months!

We had our first dinner out in 3 1/2 months on Friday. We knew that our first choice, once places started to reopen for dine-in service, would absolutely be The Marc!!! They are doing an epic job. The owners and staff made us feel comfortable and well cared for... as they have done for years and years. Their dining room setup is perfect for physical distancing between groups, but it is still cozy and elegant!! Staff are all masked and continue to provide the highest professional service. As a business owner myself, I know the struggle we are all going through. We would recommend them 110% to anyone who wants to venture out into the restaurant world again. Oh... and aside from all the hard work they are putting in with this "new normal", they are forever creative with my vegan needs. The chef was ready with a most delicious plan!! Great place with amazing service and eye for detail. Food is fairly simple but quite delicious! Very happy with how our group was treated and served, service was very attentive without being overly in your face. All food was good, really enjoyed how tender the grilled octopus was, shared a large pork dish that was bursting with flavours. Would recommend to go, very nice open atmosphere and vide. Not the best food in Edmonton, but a solid contender and better than average service and experience put it near the top!

We came 5 minutes before the reservation and even though the restaurant was busy, we were seated immediately. Four friends on a Saturday night. Nice space, full and noisy. Our server was lovely. I’m vegan so my choice was EXTREMELY limited and the mushrooms on toast at $15 was neither tasty nor a good deal. ONE small piece of toast. I had pictured otherwise. I had already eaten an arugula salad for $9 which was only arugula but very delicious. I had to order another dish of vegetables. Others had meat dishes which looked ok but no one commented on the food. We chose chocolate cake for dessert and it was neither spectacular nor large. We had had a much much better chocolate dessert the night before at Becker’s Chalets in Jasper. Our $40 bottle of Sauv Blanc was ok. All in all, much less quality than I expected from this highly rated restaurant.

We spent the night in Edmonton and got take out from the Marc and it was fantastic. Ordering was easy and pick up was a breeze. Food was well prepared and traveled back to the hotel fine. They have maintained their high quality food through transition to take out. Staff was professional and courteous. My personal favorite: pay when you order and just pick up when it’s ready, no transaction with a machine or tip when picking up. Definitely recommend!

We look for any occasion to go to The Marc, because we know that it is guaranteed to be an absolutely perfect evening. Our Valentine’s dinner was no exception, and between the service and food I couldn’t think of a single thing that could have been more amazing. The entrecôte frites was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and our server Josh was so genuine and took fantastic care of our table. The owner made a point to connect with us at the end of the meal and I really appreciate how much they care about their restaurant and their guests. Great food and great service! Came here this week. Our table ordered an assortment of dishes and everyone left impressed with the quality of the dishes. Ordered the rib eye and was really happy with my choice. We closed the restaurant down and were the last group to leave. At no point were we rushed out the door as we sat and enjoyed coffee and beignets (a must have!). Thanks for the wonderful experience and we will be back soon.

We ordered the chicken and tempura entrée and a sushi combo with California, Alaska, and dynamite rolls. Both of these dishes were $19 each and I found it was a lot of food. The teriyaki chicken had light crispy skin and served on a bed and vegetables. There were 2 shrimp tempura and 3 vegetable. The rolls were ok, nothing amazing but I did find they were large in size.

The Marc is the best fine dining restaurant in Edmonton. The food here is consistently amazing (flavors on par with some of the best restaurants in the world). While the food here is less fussy than typical fine dining, the flavor is never lacking. In all the years of eating here, I have never experienced a bad or subpar meal. The service here is always warm, friendly, and impeccable. Everytime I have been there one or both of the owners is present (which is very rare to see in a restaurant). The Marc deserves to be fully packed everyday from open until close

The Marc was a great experience, the French picnic was great we got the olives, the salmon and the goat cheese. The portion sizes were more than enough to cover the bread supplied with extra so either order extra bread or don't eat it sparingly. For dinner I had the duck breast(first time) which at first I wasnt to impressed and then I got to a part of the fat that was seasoned well and OMG that changed everything. If the whole breast was seasoned like that it would have been amazing the whole experience. The seafood dish smelled absolutely amazing (table next to us got it), the bartender was also great, knew his drinks and makes a really great Rum old-fashioned featuring Appleton rum which id recommended. All in all I'd recommend visiting the marc and expect about 75$ per person. We will be back to try both their ribeye and seafood dishes next time.

The tomato soup was high quality, distinctive and tasty. The seafood crepe came as a wrap containing various types of seafood that were delicious when eaten together. The chocolate pot de creme dessert had just the right level of sweetness. Good price point and excellent service.
