This Restaurant is classified in the category of Vegan restaurant.
I've never had a less than amazing experience here. I think their monthly buffet speaks to how fantastic this restaurant is - people will wait for almost an hour, outside, in the cold Edmonton weather, just to eat here because the $20 all you can eat buffet once a month is just THAT GOOD!!! And it doesn't just taste good to vegetarian and vegan folks, us omnivores also absolutely LOVE eating here too. If you like food, you'll love Padmanadi.
Came in with a small group (one being vegan and one being vegetarian). Very delighted to say that the food was delicious and the customer service was awesome. Would say portion sizes are to be shared amongst a few people and would be aware of balancing saucier dishes with some less saucier dishes or at least pair with some rice as flavours can be overwhelming. I would definitely come back, very solid in my books.
We were super hungry mid-afternoon and googled "healthy place to eat". Padmanadi was one of the first options, and we are super glad we picked it. It happened to be buffet night, which was an excellent way to sample many of their dishes. We arrived at 4pm, and by 5pm the restaurant was full. Even meat lovers would enjoy Padmanadi!
Items are hit and miss, overall pretty good.
Always an amazing experience along with the delicious food! The family has always been so welcoming and always find the time to do beautiful things for the world. Truly a special place.
Simply delicious vegetarian food! Choices for vegetarian restaurants are slim and when we found Padmanadi's we were thrilled!! Our grandma who has been a vegetarian for over 30 years loves it and even though I am not a vegetarian, I love the food as well and I do not mind at all that there is no meat. Vegetarian food can sometimes be bland BUT NOT PADMANADI'S!!
Super delicious! Great variety of options, friendly and attentive service! Our family loves going here!
This place is absolutely amazing! The menu is completely vegan and they have a fantastic lunch special that comes with tea, soup, spring rolls, rice and entree! The service was also very fast and friendly as well as the food did not take very long. The food was so full of flavor. Will definitely visit again.
My all time favorite vegetarian spot in Edmonton. The selection is amazing, the service is always great and the food taste is out of this world. Even if you are not a vegetarian the food will wow you. Hands down a must try if you haven't eaten there before
Love the food, good service, nice interior design. Buddha on the center.
Made me change my opinion of vegetarian/vegan food. Tried 7 different dishes and all were excellent, especially the bean curd drum sticks. Friendly and quick service with good prices and generous portions.
Always a great experience. Food is delicious and Kasim just brings a smile to your face! Highly recommended!
Food was fantastic. Server was very nice. Clean and fast service!
Went for my daughter's birthday with my family the food was delicious and fresh the wait times were great and service was excellent. The owner came and talked with us gave us the background to the restaurant. It was a nice night!
I had never experienced a full vegan restaurant before and I was shocked with just how wonderful this was. Their once a month buffet is delightful and I highly recommended anyone who is wanting to try a new experience come out to try it. Moreover, the staff and management team were a delight to speak with and you can tell they really care about their customers. Food is 10/10
I'm pretty sure Padmanadi is the most popular vegetarian restaurant in Edmonton, and for good reason. The food is great and reasonably priced. There is a good selection of different kinds of dishes to try, from salad to curry yo noodle dishes. And finally, the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely and positive. I've been here several times and never been disappointed.
Absolutely amazing!!! Best customer service I have ever received and the food is delicious!!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!
Honestly this is the best vegetarian/ vegan food I've ever had. I had the curry mutton the first time and it was perfect. Then on a second visit I had the French toast "bacon" and an eggs benny, the one with hoisin sauce? amazing! as well as the lychee drink! Fresh ingredients ! and guilt free! I'm from calgary and wishing you would open up shop here.
I went there to experience vegan meals not meals that resembling meat dishes? I guess I had a vegan mindedness I went there Not to be reminded of meat, unfortunately I was let down. Makes me think about starting my own restaurant A real vegan style No pretend meat dishes. Just good tasty dishes
The food was great, service was quick and atmosphere was nice. Would give 5 stars if their prices were more reasonable. Vegetables are not expensive, you would think they would pass on the savings to the consumer.
I absolutely loved Padmanadi! The food was hot, delicious, and beautifully plated. The buffets are always well done but my preference was ordering separate dishes so that I could concentrate on my favourites (ginger beef, won tons, spring rolls, etc). The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing and I love the large Buddha along the back wall! Everything is clean and the service is wonderful! Unfortunately I now have to eat gluten and nut free so it's no longer an option for me. I will miss it, but I recommend it highly to others!
A favourite Edmonton restaurant with fun Asian inspired plant based options. The Chicken Curry (mild has best flavour) and Ginger beef (very good but not like typical ginger beef) are always on the order list. It's a sharing style menu, so while you can go with 1 or 2, we find it better when you go with a few friends and can order more variety. Would be great if they opened a Calgary location next!
Awesome vegan restaurant featuring Indonesian food!! Came here with family (two of us are vegan) and everyone enjoyed the dishes we ordered :) …
I love this place! As a vegetarian, I enjoy knowing that no matter what I order, I don't have to worry about finding meat in it. I especially love the drumstick and crispy chicken strip appetizers. The spicy eggplant and the spicy green beans are fantastic. There is something for everyone here. Even the meat eaters I know enjoy the ginger beef and the different chicken dishes. There are gluten-free options. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but finding parking that will allow you to access the place is very difficult. Now that I can get it delivered, I eat food from here quite often.
Great food the place has beautiful vibes and waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back again ????
Fantastic food and great service!
Meal type
This place is amazing. You could take a non vegan here and they would have no idea its vegan!! Their curry chicken is to die for. I could literally eat it everyday! Their spicy coconut egg plant is amazing as well!!
Great dining experience. However something tasted a bit off with our meal. I've been coming for years and never had a bad experience.
One of the best restaurants in Edmonton. I was never disappointed. Clean, organized and great service.
A lovely vegan restaurant in Edmonton, with nice atmosphere.
I absolutely love the food every time I come here. It’s hard to come across good vegan restaurants but here is always very delicious and flavourful!! Would definitely recommend to anyone. My only complaint is that my take out order was packaged in all plastic. With all that’s going on with the climate, I am trying hard to reduce the amount of waste I’m creating so that will definitely be something I will keep in mind. If the packaging was compostable I would be ordering take out much more often. That would earn the five stars!
Very pleasant experience, no meat, but great food!
A must go for vegans and vegetarians in Edmonton
The restaurant is located in perhaps a more shady end of town, but the street is well lit and free street or rear parking is usually available. The ambiance is casual, but you could dress up a bit without feeling out of place. The decor was interesting... There was what appeared to be those stock images on the wall..everywhere. Like images of random families, lots of images of people being proposed to. I can't explain it--it was weird and didn't match the theme of the restaurant. I ordered the ginger 'beef', cauliflower bites and coconut rice. As a vegetarian, I have gotten used to meat substitutes being strange and not like the real thing--but this ginger beef was impressive. Even my meat eating husband was impressed. Coconut rice as smooth and sweet without being over powering. The service was excellent despite it being very busy. Its been added to my list of regular food joints. Highly recommend that you give it a try!
Great food!
This was my second takeout from Padmanadi, and the food was as good as my first visit. The only thing that some people might find disturbing is the location.
I am so delighted with everything about Padmanadi! Their website is excellent and easy to navigate and their customer service is REMARKABLE! I had issues using Skip the Dishes so I called the restaurant (South Side location) directly and had to pleasure of talking to Maya. Maya went out of her way to offer a solution and she was so kind and solution oriented- it went above and beyond and is truly appreciated! I cannot thank her enough for the amazing service and support she provided! The food itself is amazing and all who ate it raved over the quality and taste. Thank you so much for everything! I will recommend to my friends and family and definitely order from the restaurant again!
Omg this place is delish, I'm not even vegan and I come here every time I'm in Edmonton. The ginger beef and deep fried wontons are a must.
I love this restaurant so much, it’s my favourite in Edmonton. Their food is super delicious, their flavours are really diverse and the atmosphere is always super friendly and amazing. I have brought numerous people here through out the years and it has always been phenomenal!!! If you haven’t tried it yet and you’re omnivore, vegan or vegetarian I highly recommend this place to anyone for some yummy food. :)
A good place for informal vegan eating. The menu has a lot of variety, but was lacking the attention to individual dishes that is endemic of larger menus. Clean interior, friendly staff, food was quickly delivered once ordered (again, good if that’s what you’re looking for).
20210717 I ordered take-out this evening & was more than satisfied with the food. The ginger chicken, egg plant in black bean sauce & coconut rice were all very tasty. I usually find the food from most (western) vegan restaurants bland & unexciting. But the Asian touch from Padmanadi has put a whole new dimension to what some of friends call "monk food". Perhaps, I could be convinced to be a "monk" more often ha!!!
Brilliant place to go for lunch and dinner. The place was awesome and the food was super delicious. I love their tom yum soup. The quality was also good. The way they treat their customer was also nice.
Brought my friend who never had vegetarian dishes before and he couldn’t believe these were not meat. Great ambience. Fast and friendly service.
The portions were generous and the flavours were subtle and rich and fantastic. I particularly loved the spicy eggplant, and the lemongrass fried tofu. There was so much food that I went to bed thinking for sure I'd get to dive in again for lunch. One of the staff came out to give free spring rolls for people waiting in line which I thought was pretty nice
The Singapore noodles, spicy eggplant and mapo tofu were delicious. The hot and sour soup was unfortunately sweet and sour, I could not eat it. I’m not sure if they added the wrong soup base because it tasted off. So would not order that dish again.
The Singapore noodles were delicious!
Good food, family environment. Very friendly staff. Felt like going home for dinner.
Vegan??? Really?? Man as a full on meat eater I was astounded by the taste, the quality and the fact my stomach had no meat at all. My mind knew it was, but my eyes, taste and mouth sure couldn't tell. Vegan or not, it was probably one of the best dinners I've had. O really taste and quality were great. Heads up though, this place is not licenced, so no booze.
Such amazing food. Highly recommend!!
Phenomenal food. Everything is vegetarian but tastes like meat, even my husband said its the best meal hes had in a while. Great service too.
My office orders take out from Padmanadi on a regular basis. EVERYONE in the office loves the food. We come from several ethnic backgrounds and different dietary restrictions. Padmanadi nails it every time! I am a meatatarian through and through and I just have to tell you that even I can’t tell that it is all vegetarian protein. The ginger beef and the lemon shrimp are amazing. The food is flavourful and the textures are spot-on. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is always busy. Buffet days there are lineups so be prepared to wait. There is some limited free parking located in the back of the building.
Very friendly staff and food was great. Excellent service
Love this place. Excellent food everytime. My husband and I are not vegan but the foods too good to pass up. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious meal.
I am not a vegan myself but this place helped me understand that veganism is not only about eating green salads. Amazing options that taste just like meat, and even those that aren't simulated meat are awesome. The service is great and they help you understand what the menu items are as they are, of course, non-conventional. Nice thoughtful decor as well, great fun to eat here.
My wife and I had our wedding dinner privately at the downtown location. The food and service was excellent. We were surprised with a large desert platter that was delicious. As we left, the owner handed me a rose to give to my beautiful wife. Our wedding day was beautiful and dinner at padmanadi was the perfect cap to the day. Thank you so much
The best vegan restaurant! Great service, amazing food. Try Lava Cake it is a bomb! Coming again for sure!
I am a recently forced to vegetarian husband. I did the three week challenge and this place has kept me going. I was feeling doubtful about continuing vegetarianism... Missing meat to be honest. The texture, the taste. I never found anything that even came close to satisfying.. until now. I had no idea that what I was eating wasn't meat. The chicken... The beef... Even the prawns are sooooo good. I am really really really surprised. I can't even tell you how good it is, except it's better than you'd ever expect, in your wildest imagination. The service was top notch. Our waitress was Nicole and her helper was Lauren. Both were amazing ????. Great job. Great food. Dead on pricing for quality. We definitely will be back, again and again. WOW! Second visit today. Sara is gorgeous!!
Fast service, lots of space between customers, reasonably priced, fantastic food!
Took my daughter here for a lovely lunch. Food was amazing, lots of great flavor, service was fast and friendly. We will for sure be coming back!
If you are dating someone who is a vegan and you absolutely love meat . This is the place to go!!! You couldn’t tell the difference if you so badly wanted to. AMAZING. I’ve gone here every year for my birthday and you should too!!! Literally recommend this place to everyone! Staff is amazing and the aesthetic is CUTE
Excellent food for vegans and non-vegans alike! I would especially recommend their curry mutton and ginger beef. The food is consistently high quality and delicious with lots of flavour. I would also recommend going for one of their buffet nights! It’s a great deal and you get to try everything!
Due to being quarantined I had to spend my Thanksgiving alone; since that was the case I decided to treat myself to a nice vegan meal (got my favorite 'chicken' curry; seriously recommend it since it's creamy and super flavorful). Not only did I get a generous portion but they very kindly added a complimentary sweet and sour dish with a 'Happy Thanksgiving!' note on it. Thank you Padmanadi team for making my lonely holiday a bit happier; your staff are so thoughtful. <3
I'm not vegan nor am I a vegetarian...but i tried the place, not knowing what to expect. i was very very very pleased and amazed at the flavors. Everything that I tried tasted so amazing. We went for the buffet and I would go again and bring my friends.
It would be easy to go vegetarian if i could eat like this all the time! I cant believe its not meat! Love the butter chicken!
As a visitor non-vegetarian, this establishment is scary-good. I wish Calgary had an equal. Skillful cooking, especially with oils. Carefully-crafted asian-fusion. Great choices on the menu.

Best vegetarian restaurant in town. Specialize in meat analogues but have a variety of very tasty and fresh dishes. Location is central, the area is a bit seedy but the restaurant is clean and bright.Edit: I've knocked off a star because they don't open until 4pm. What kind of business model is that!? Then they close early too.
Hands down this is the greatest vegan food I have ever eaten....especially from a restaurant. The price is totally reasonable and the portions are generous. The even better part is the owner. Not only did he recognize my dad who had been at his previous address quite a few years ago....he made us feel welcome, as if we were old friends. He was kind, enthusiastic, outgoing, and genuine. That man deserves success in this business, he knows how to treat his customers, he runs an amazing establishment, makes amazing food, has great prices, and truly blew my mind. In this day and age, someone like that is almost impossible to find. If i could rate this place 10 stars I would. I highly encourage every one to check it out. The "meat" dishes taste even better than real meat. Truly incredible experience!!!!
Favourite vegetarian restaurant of all times. The family owners is very friendly and gives back to the community. We used to look forward to their monthly buffets. Fresh, tasty and healthy vegetarian options.
Our go to vegetarian place in Edmonton. Love it. Curry chicken must try
Love this place!!!! Love to come here with friends for their weekly lunch. You get a main a rice a little soup and some spring rolls. The perfect portion! Or I get take out of the spicy nuggets, jasmin rice and whole order of spring rolls! Can’t even tell it’s Vegan. It’s sooooo delicious.
Great Vegan Restaurant and thank you!
Loved it. Went with my daughter for my birthday. It’s her favourite restaurant and she’s a regular. Food was fresh, delicious and service is fast. The restaurant was busy, and still was extremely fast and friendly. The servers clearly enjoy their job. My daughter is a dedicated vegetarian, and I have been cutting back on the amount of meat I eat. With choices like this, veg is not out of the question for me!
Nice decor, alright food. I appreciate what they are doing but the meal was okay, not WOW! It's nice to have restaurants catering to vegans, though. You won't be unhappy.
It's a super delicious vegetarian restaurant, if you doubt the variety of dishes, ingredients and flavors are unique.
My family and I have been coming here since they first opened! Always incredible service and amazing food. Even if you aren’t vegetarian, you will LOVE this restaurant!
You have got to try the ginger beef and mutton curry and beef something curry with potatoes i forgot the name but they were good , best vegan restaurants in Edmonton hands down!
There are some dishes are just amazing some are ok in taste. But overll its amazing experience.
So thankful we found a nice and flavourful vegetarian restaurant in Edmonton, it is a 5 stars atmosphere, so spacious.
I can't express how much I enjoy the food. I miss coming down to the restaurant and speaking with the friendly staff. I can't to come and sit down once this is all over for now we will call in and order for pick up. Thanks so much! xoox
Vegan vegan vegannnn!!!! Amazing vegan restaurant , had a great experience . I ate there because they serve vegan????
Loved my first experience here when I ordered the seafood delight. Just ordered the meat platter with skip the dishes and I was disappointed. There was only one good kind in the platter. Spring rolls were ok but definitely not my favorite.
I've only ever had the buffet here, but I absolutely love Padmanadi! I am far from being a vegetarian/vegan, but I absolutely enjoy eating here. There were plenty of tasty meat alternatives to choose from, and everything was quite tasty. Furthermore, not that I'm an iced tea expert, but Padmanadi makes my favourite.
Dine in
Amazing. Even 'non vegetarians' will love the food! So good.
Great food! Great service will definitely go again.
A MUST TRY....Literally, the best food ever!!!! We were visiting from Saskatchewan and happened to stumble upon Padmanadi. We liked the ambience and popped in. The food was delicious and the menu was quiet versatile. The staff was friendly and the service was great. We tried the wonton soup, spring rolls and crispy chicken(vegetarian) everything tasted delicious. 5/5 for food , services and cleanliness.
Amazing food, I wish I was able to go daily!
Visited this place before pandemic, first issue was the parking. Service staff so cordial but the food was not as per mark as I heard about this restaurant. I ordered Singapore noodles, hot and sour soup and teriyaki tofu but all food was so bad and no taste at all except soup was little better. They should work in it.
Often grab takeout from here. All great vegan food, many of which I hadn't seen the likes of elsewhere; such as shrimp and mutton. The curries are great too. Price can get a little steep and I've seen this place very busy for sit down (I haven't signed in yet) but grabbing takeout on the way home works great with this place. Love the food here, can't believe it's vegan sometimes.
As a meat eater thus food was amazingly good I highly recommend it ????
I love that this place is so bright and open yet gives a cozy vibe. The food matches the environment. Curry chicken is a must try as is the cauliflower appetizer. If you're looking to have a cocktail with dinner, this isn't the spot as they don't serve alcohol. Dessert, dessert, dessert... Just do it! The cupcake was unreal!
Food is great! It is a vegetarian restaurant. But the “meat” dishes we got give you the taste and texture real meat products have. Very impressive. Price is reasonable. The environment is clean and very pleasant. We enjoyed our meals there.
Very friendly staff and great food. It's a great vegan option.
Always flavourful food and friendly service!
Amazing vegan food. We are not vegan by any stretch but were convinced to give it a try and were not disappointed by any stretch. The atmosphere inside is fresh and clean and the service was very accommodating and professional. They have a wide range of foods and the spicy is actually spicy. We were hesitant to try it because as said before we are not vegans so I don’t seek out this type of place but will definitely back.
Very great experience! Service is always quick, friendly and professional. Would recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Although it is a vegetarian establishment, it is still a great place to eat for the meat-lovers out there as well. Clean, bright and well-kept. They offer a very good lunch menu that is fair for the cost. Leave happy and full with a reasonable price. Parking is very limited! Street parking in front is pay I think but is free on certain days and times. Some parking in the residential behind it.
This place has to be listed as one of Edmonton’s attractions. Even if you are not vegan\vegetarian you must try this place Lots of options. BIG portions (one dish is enough for 2 and maybe more) and they are not expensive Statt were firendly and ready to explain (in details) what every dish is. They will guide you and help to choose. Soups are good, tried many of starters options they are good too. Chicken curry is ok. Highly recommended
One of us loved the spicy chicken and one of us loved the toom leaf eggplant (the first few bites especially), really tasted beefy. The ginger beef was not for us but still fine.
The BEST food!!!! Seriously.
Amazing food. The spicy chicken curry was excellent.
Best to reserve a table ahead of time which I did. Service was amazing from beginning to end! Server recommended the most popular dishes as requested and they all were very delicious and complemented each other well. Price was perfect! Will definitely go again!
The food is amazing and they put care into prepping my food with my allergies in mind. Service was also great. Good fun atmosphere as well. This restaurant is a top tier gem that has become an absolute favorite. A must visit, even for those who aren't vegan/vegetarian!
Amazing vegan food! Great blend of flavours, amazing atmosphere and reasonable prices. I recommend the hot and spicy fish ????
The food here is amazing. I swear I've had just about everything on the menu over the years and there's no bad choice. My absolute favorite is the peanut satay skewers, the curry chicken, and the roti. The service is fast and friendly and the owner is always out and about visiting with the customers. This is a great place to go for a date, a group get together, or a special occasion. Wonderful atmosphere and always welcoming!
Really really good!
The General Tao Chicken and Spring Rolls were good, but the Pan-Fried Broccoli & Cauliflower were practically raw and flavourless. We also ordered coconut rice to go with it but it just tasted like plain white rice, which is contradictory to what the reviews suggested.
Padmanadi always consistent with there flavours and hospitality great presentation of vegetarian food. One of my Edmonton favourite for a great lunch or dinner!
If you have never been to Padmanadi I urge you to go because you are about to experience something so unique, not only in quality of food, but in the flavours, freshness, variety, and portions. Padmanadi is not just a restaurant, it is a culture of kindness and goodness. A beacon for many in Edmonton and Alberta. I know of many that travel from other provinces to eat at this long-standing Icon of a restaurant. Kasim and his loyal staff are so helpful, wonderful and kind as well. Padmanadi is an experience. Once you go, you’ll always go back. It is by far, one of my favourite restaurants of all time. I could recommend many dishes for you to try, but they’re all great. There is nothing on the menu that will disappoint you. Padmanadi is my favourite! If there were options to put more than 5 Stars, I would. Enjoy!
The food here was amazing and by how many people were in the restaurant it is no secret! The food and the service are on par???? the chai latte was the best I've ever had highly recommend trying the drinks passion fruit Italian soda was also amazing and of course the chicken peanut skewers where scrumptious! We had the General Tao chicken and the ginger beef both were delicious . My partner has never tried tofu meat and was amazed by the texture and flavor. Cannot say enough about quality of food customer service and ambiance!
Everything about Padmanadi is awesome. Amazing vegan food, amazing service and the most amazing space. Absolutely love the curry chicken, roti canai and ginger beef...among a lot of other dishes. Weekend brunch is always worth going too as well. The monthly buffets are amazingly priced at only $20 per person, very popular and very busy with long lines at buffet table. Buffets are lots of fun, even if they are busy.
We come to this place for staff lunches often and our last visit was outstanding as always! Server was quick and fun. Owner himself came to ask if everything was to our satisfaction, food was delicious and portions large. Clean space with great atmosphere.
Fantastic menu! Great service! Staff was very friendly and gracious. We had a special request for seating which they very cheerfully accommodated. Never seen a place with so many food delivery folks coming and going.
Always love their food, been going here for years. Their ginger beef is amazing!
Hands down one of my favorite vegan restaurants. Thank you, Padmanadi.
Hands down my favourite vegan restaurant by far. I enjoyed a few meals here before but today I brought a group of coworkers and they all loved it. I'm from BC and we have a huge assortment of vegan and vegetarian options. This place blows them all away. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. We not only enjoyed our starters, entrees and deserts we took a bunch home.
The food is just so delicious and it's all vegan, so no worries to have if you are! A go to if you are in the area!
This is the best Vegan restaurant in Edmonton They have many Vegan and Gluten Free options. The Deep Fried Tofu is great. The corn cakes and deep fried spring rolls are a great appetizer choice. The dairy free Panna Cotta is amazing. It is always busy here, so it's best to make a reservation.

this was the first time I've eaten at padmanadi. I was blown away. u could not even tell the meat dishes were vegetarian. and the food was just amazing. probably the best breaded cauliflower I've ever had. I've found my new favourite vegetarian restaurant????
Went in there to taste some indian food for the first time. And it was a great experience. The food was very good. I liked the spicy food. It was awesome. Enjoyed my food.
We ordered in from here one night, so relieved and thrilled to find something so delicious sounding for our vegan needs that evening. The portions were generous and the flavours were subtle and rich and fantastic. I particularly loved the spicy eggplant, and the lemongrass fried tofu. There was so much food that I went to bed thinking for sure I'd get to dive in again for lunch. Sadly some late night munchies deprived me of this dream, so I'm left planning a trip to Edmonton!
I can't say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere is great, so friendly and welcoming! The staff treat you like friends, and the owner, Kasim is a great conversationalist. He's so friendly and vibrant, we loved taking to him. Then to top it all off the food here is fantastic! I'm so impressed with the tastes, the textures, and the aromas! I want to try everything on the menu eventually but I highly recommend the ginger beef and the teriyaki chicken. Feeling thirsty? They have the best chai latte I've ever had!
Nice food and friendly people
I love Padmanadi. The food is always so great. The service and atmosphere are always inviting. Kasim goes above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, you will find something on the menu for you.
By far one of my all time favorite restaurants. I have never been disappointed with anything I have tried. Great atmosphere, owner and staff. They do alot of good in the community. I have brought many people here and whether they were vegan or not they always loved the food. You will not be disappointed.
This is always one of my favourite places to go! Such great food, for omnivores and vegans alike. The stop are always so friendly, the owner Is such a kind and wonderful person! It's always a pleasure to come here Definitely a travel destination For any vegans vegetarians or Foodies passing through.
This is a great restaurant! A large variety of vegetarian foods available. Very fresh and healthy. The buffet is a treat. And the staff is warm and efficient.
Good Ambience, nice staff and quick service with smile. If someone like vietnamese food or try to this kind so it's a good place to be there. They offer you meat veg dishes tastes like close to meat like taste.
This place never disappoints. I’m not even vegetarian or vegan and this is some of the best quality food and flavours I’ve ever experienced. So far I have loved every dish I’ve tried, however their curry chicken and chicken strips are my all time favourite. This is my wife and I’s favourite restaurant.
Dinner
Delicious food, my wife and I get it at least once a week! I recommend Singapore noodles and curry vegetables with tofu. Really really good.
So yummy every time!
Excellent. Everything we tried was on par. I'm a part time vegetarian and quite honestly a lot of the "meat" here is better than actual meat. Food that claims to be spicy IS ACTUALLY SPICY! 10/10
Great asian vegetarian food
Best vegetarian food in Edmonton!!
This seems to be a family-owned restaurant. The food are great. My personal favourite is their chicken curry with coconut rice. The fragrant of the food is already appetizing and really delicious. I have low tolerance towards spicy food but their cuisines may be spicy but it is just so mild it feels like it tickles your palate. The only downside of this place is parking. Especially during lunch and peak hours of supper. They only have very limited parking space. I hope they will branch out on other areas of the city.
Padmanadi is one of our favourite restaurants! The choices on the menu are phenomenal and then they taste delicious! Definitely worth the effort to drive to.
This place is amazing and yummy. Highly recommend. Well definitely be going back. Great food and service
One of the best vegetarian restaurant offering simulatiled meat that I've eaten at. The vegetables are fresh and the portions are generous. For anyone interested in trying Indonesian cuisine this would be a good place to start.
My first time at a vegan restaurant and I was not expecting much. Food was delicious, even if you’re a meat eater. Service was friendly, decor was lovely. Will go back for their buffet sometime.
Such a good spot to enhance our plant based food scene here in Edmonton! I personally come mostly for their monthly buffets. Always fresh, yummy and actually good vegan food. As someone who eats fish and meat everyday, I still consider Padmanadi one of my favourites. Their soy "meats" and everything else is so well thought out and taste great. Props to them for sure.
Superb vegan food, excellent service, and great ambience
I went here for the buffet on a recommendation from a friend. I’m not a vegetarian or vegan but I love trying new things. I like the atmosphere and the food was good. It wasn’t my favourite meal but it was satisfying.
Pleasantly surprised with the food! This is not the grocery store vegan food I loath. Flavourful delights in the the bento box we had (should call it bento box duo, two in a set!) Bonus points no garlic or onion as well!!! I'm not a vegan but this is the kind of food that will change people's idea of it. If you want to start off on the right foot, definitely give Padmanadi a try.
We eat here everytime we come to Edmonton. And we have driven 5hrs just to eat here. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up (cause that's all I have lol). Staff is great and good is awesome...every dish.
The location may be a little hard to find but it is worth the search...the prices average around 15 dollars for an entree which is only slightly higher than fast food and these taste and feel better and healthier... Our waitress Magen was upbeat and full of information about the food choices....We will be going back
Excellent food, great service. Very family friendly.
Amazing! Great food, as a non vegan I did not miss the absence of meat one bit! I think the ginger "beef" was the best I've had, vegan or not
One of my top 3 Veg restaurants, Padmanadi provides a delicious range of Asian meat dishes with vegan protein. The Tom Yum Soup & Mutton are both incredible, both in flavour and texture. Also a big fan of ginger beef. Definitely worth bringing non-veggie friends here, as all guests that I have brought have loved it.
Really good food and customer service!!!
Went there for a vegan birthday. Had a few appetizers and a few dishes shared amongst 3 of us. Overall the food was fresh and the server was attentive. Overall my favorite vegan restaurant in Edmonton.
Most amazing restaurant ever!!! Not only was the food absolutely delicious!!! The staff were wonderful I highly recommend this place if you haven’t gone yet it’s a must!!! This has now moved into is now my number 1 spot. Thank you Padmanadi ????
Incredible Food, always willing to make the drive up! You will be hooked after the first bite!
I've been to this location, as well as Gateway. I think I prefer this one better, it has some different items than the gateway location. The food is always amazing, and staff is nice. Unfortunately space is tight, and with the pandemic rules, it makes dining in difficult. Regardless, the restaurant is worth it, and their food is worth it!
An Edmonton staple for vegetarians, vegans and anyone curious! Great food, atmosphere and you won’t meet a kinder person than Kasim!
Everytime I come here I have a great time. From the excellent service from all the staff, to the great food that's served here. I think this maybe the first 5 star rating I've given. I'm a vegetarian, it's nice to come to a place and not have to worry about anything I'm ordering containing meat, or making substitutions. Keep up the good work!
We enjoyed our vegan feast and had a surprise visit from the most kind and genial owner, Kasim. So nice to be back!
Did you know that Edmonton is an Oasis of Vegan and vegetarian eating? That Pad's may be the oldest and longest running? 1984. It is family owned and the atmosphere is so chill! The customers I have met there are very friendly and polite. This place is not expensive. It is average in price and you can easily share three plates between 5 diners. So about 12 bucks each with tip and Tea. The Friday buffet is special and extremely popular and busy. The breakfast my crew had was phenomenal. I had the TomYum scrambled tofu that is way better than I could ever make. The eggs Benny look like art and taste as good.
The food was delicious and well priced. A great place to eat with friends and family. Staff are very kind and dinning in is an experience you will always enjoy!
Good food
Outstanding place for an adventurous gathering. Ours was a family birthday celebration of 12 with limited knowledge of vegetarian/ vegan food. Staff were friendly, prompt, efficient and super helpful in guiding our group menu selection. We ordered just enough delicious food and were introduced to some delicious selections. Per plate price averaged at $18 including tax & tip.
Pescatarian for 12 years now, and I was finding it hard to believe it wasn't real meat. The buffet was delicious and reasonably priced. I would put their ginger beef up against the real thing any day. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely be returning again.
Love this place. The food is always excellent, and the service is also excellent
Delicious and amazing food!! Will definitely be back!!!
Good variety of food options. The portions are well sized and can share if you are there with others so that you can try many dishes. Friendly and helpful staff that will answer any questions you have about the menu.
Friendly, comforting and so cozy! And the food is super amazing!
First time lunch was delicious. Lots to choose from we had a good time. Service was excellent!
This place is delicious! We finally went for the first time after so getting so many recommendations to do so, and we were not disappointed! The menu is served family style, so its wonderful for a group of people to try so many different things. It happens to be a vegetarian restaurant, but the taste, textures and presentations of the meals are just perfect that I don't think I would have noticed it wasn't actual meat.
Excellent ambiance. They have brought the tropical weather of Indonesia into freezing Edmonton. Excellent staff and super polite service. Very large portion sizes. I tried the Roti Canai and Vegan Chicken. Very good. A spot to hit up if your in Edmonton.
I love my meat but decided to go here to take my family out for dinner as I heard good things about it. I was impressed with their dishes and especially their meat dishes. They texture and taste was superb!
One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Edmonton... totally recommended to the "meat" lovers who are looking for something in the plant-based diet.
I was skeptical coming here because I don’t have a good experience with vegan restaurants. The food was always either just ok or I got an allergic reaction but this restaurant changed my vegan food experience! By far the best vegan food I’ve tried! The service was amazing! Was seated right away and the food came fast too! My bf is a meat lover but also a picky eater and he loved the curry chicken and said it tasted like real meat! I got the sweet & sour chicken and it was so tasty! Literally everything we got was so delicious! The overall experience was just wonderful here and we can’t wait to go back ????
The best vegan restaurant around. Even my meat eating friends and family love it. It is now one of my dads favourite restaurants. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, be open minded and try it out as it has flavours to satisfy everyone. My favourite dish is the General Tao and the Curry chicken. The shrimp appetizer is great too
Amazing place. Food is incredible. Great staff
The food is delicious and the portion sizes are enough for a couple of meals. I've yet to eat anything I haven't liked. So far the curry chicken and the bean curd drumsticks are my favorite items on the menu. They've really mastered getting the texture of meat down, which doesn't matter so much to me because I'm vegan but is great if you're bringing a non-vegan friend.
Wonderful flavorful food. Ordered a few dishes and shared. Everything was so good. Service was excellent too.
Padmanadi is one of my FAVORITE spots for great vegetarian food. Whenever we come here, we order A LOT of food and our bill never goes over a certain amount. It is great! The portions are awesome for the prices and we always end up taking all the leftovers home. The decor at Padmanadi is wonderful. I really love the big Buddha and how the owner has all of his family and extended family photos hanging up. I try to come have dinner here at least once a week. I should also mention that the waitresses are so pleasant and we usually get Lauren as our server and she is great. Padmanadi is a MUST TRY!! :) 5/5 stars without a doubt!
Hostess named Moira is an awesome greeter!!! and food is always good :-) actually good is not enough of a description, must say say it is absolutely excellent!!!!! brought me back to the days when I was a young child/teenager, brought up with Indonesian food, truly remarkable to say the least:-) wonderful service, wonderful people, great environment, excellent food!!! :-) plan to continue to go as often as possible, it brought me back to the days of being brought up with special times and always special Indonesian food whether it be winter or summer... my parents always cooked Satay outside even in Winter or inside :-) enjoy!!! what a beautiful fantastic place!!!!!
Made a large takeout order for my family visiting the city and the food was delicious and fast! The ginger beef totally duped even the pickiest eaters in my family, and as a vegan, I was in love with the variety of flavours and dishes. Will definitely dine again!
ordered through uber eats & was a little disappointed with the food :( i ordered bakmi goreng + tofu and found the dish to be quite bland. very little flavour and the tofu was very spongey ????
Delicious vegetarian food! Food was really tasty and fresh. They accommodated for sesame allergies from one of us (tough not all dishes could be eaten)
Padmanadi is not only a gem but a cuisine of its own. Their unique take on vegan food and classic dishes from many different cusines is what brings me back here. Delicious food paired with great service and very affordable.
Food was very good. Food came fast and servers were polite and timely. A great restaurant even though I'm a meat eater.
A delight for vegetarians and omnivores alike. This place convinced me going vegan could still mean amazing food and dining options. I've never had a bad or even mediocre dish at Padmanadi. Everything is fresh and delicious. I'm still vegan and I still love this place. So does my meat eating family, and I'm glad we have a place to go that everyone enjoys!
My husband and I in general try to limit how often we order in, but when we do, Padmanadi is a go-to favorite. We are omnivores and I have no idea how they make their proteins - is it soilent green? Who knows? It's like crack, so addictive. Can't go wrong with the curry mutton or general tao chicken. Yum!
I'd never been to Padmanadi before and it was really quite nice. I went for the monthly buffet and ate a lot of the chicken curry. Service is awesome and employees are really friendly. I thought the canvas prints on the walls were stock photos; turns out they're the people who work there! It made me feel like they really care about their employees.
Brunch was good!
Monthly buffet. This food is really prepared with care. Perfect balance of sweet/salty. You wouldn't believe you are eating vegetarian food! Everyone is very kind and the atmosphere is perfect for friends, family or a date. Beautiful place.
Delicious and filling vegan food. Great for a feast! Ginger beef, curry mutton, satay sticks, and hot & sour soup are personal favorites
Excellent vegetarian food, as always! My favourite dishes are spicy eggplant, chicken curry, rice pudding & freshly squeezed orange juice. Kasim, the personable host, who I've known for a long time, stopped & chatted with me & took my picture. ❤❤❤
My family and I recently became Vegan and we decided to try this place out. It was quite far from the southwest but there are not many vegan restaurants out there! The place is very welcoming and well decorated, servers were great. Really awesome atmosphere, we love it! The food was delicious, and the sizes are quite big, I couldn’t finish my vermicelli plate (two people can eat this) Desserts are delicious too we were so full we had to take home most of the food-except for desserts we finished all 3! This is the place to go for vegan! I recommend it!
The most overrated vegan restaurant there is. It had been on our list for more than a year. We finally got the chance, only if we hadn’t; we would have put those 40 bucks to better use. The service was good. The food not so. Everything tasted so heavy because of the coconut cream. There were no flavours. Maybe it was just the dishes we ordered but we were disappointed .
Love the food and atmosphere.
Excellent food, can not go wrong. Appears that portion size for take out has been reduced significantly. Not a good experience lately.
Their tofu was like little marshmallows. I don't know how they do it but it was delicious! They have vegan prawns as well?? Definitely want to come back and try them! It's not very often I see a menu and could pick any dish at random and want to order it! Context: I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but I like veggies
Food was great. service was poor it took an hour to get our food and every table around us got there food first even the ones that ordered after us. I will order takeout from here but I wont be dining in
I’ve had good experiences at this place for dine in but ordered takeout today and was very disappointed. Ordered ginger beef and once I got home opened the takeout box and it was not even half full. There was literally 9 pieces of “beef” for $16. That’s pure stingy and shady. Not worth the hype anymore. Much better value vegetarian restaurants in the city.
Their take out is phenomenal. Must try!
Amazing staff.. loved the atmosphere... And food was to die for
I was fairly skeptical of an all-vegan restaurant but I am so glad I gave this place a shot. Now it's a staple in my dining out experience. The food is so flavourful and delicious that you don't even realize its vegan. Have taken lots of friends and family here, and they all love it!
Service
Dinner
We got a chance to visit and experience ourself in last month buffet which I believe happen only once in a month . Food was amazing . Couple of things need to keep in mind is it's a vegan and family restaurant . They have back parking very limited if you are planning to go there advisable please be early to get in there as those buffet day it actually gets crazy door always crashed and actually line up goes pretty long . Over all foods are really tasty as long as you are ok with tofu 90% of there food contains tofu but has different taste. They have rules for paid money for wasted products, be mindful on that. Last but not least is be considerable for others to come in ????????
I am not a vegan by any means but the food here is to die for.
I’ve been going to Padmanadi’s since they were the teeny tiny cafe a few blocks over. Their food is amazing for both vegans and non. I take my non vegan friends here always with rave reviews. The menu is large and the service is fast and good. I recommend ordering dishes for the table to share from. Must haves: Roti Canai - DO NOT miss out on this. Their famous curry sauce is the dipping agent and the roti is phenomenal Salty Chicken Strips Ginger beef Chili green beans Bihun Goreng Enjoy their consistency and flavour, you’ll be happy you did!
Waitress was wonderful. She was patient, knowledgeable and made us feel at home. As for the food, our compliments to the chef. The food is rich, tasty and filling. Will definitely go back next time we are in Edmonton.
The ginger beef and crispy chicken strips are my absolute favorite dishes but no dish is bad. The owner is amazing! He is so friendly and welcoming. Go for the buffet!! It is always fantastic.
Amazing "junk" vegan food! My sister is vegan and the rest of our family is not. This is the place we go so everyone can enjoy their meal. Menu is Chinese food made with soy protein to mimic meat texture and its absolutely delicious. Picky eater sister loved everything she tried. On a sketchy street but pretty cozy on the inside.
HORRIBLE FOOD ROCK SOILD Ginger BEEF, Curry chicken was horribly spicy. Food has killed my appetite for good time.
The decor was a little confusing, chairs slightly uncomfortable and awkward. Service was excellent, restaurant and washrooms were clean. The food...amazing! The only thing I wasn't in love with was the "chicken" it was slightly dry. Save room for desert, it was all delicious. This restaurant is worth going out of your way to visit. ,
We ordered in from here one night, so relieved and thrilled to find something so delicious sounding for our vegan needs that evening. The portions were generous and the flavours were subtle and rich and fantastic. I particularly loved the spicy eggplant, and the lemongrass fried tofu. There was so much food that I went to bed thinking for sure I'd get to dive in again for lunch.
Favorite restaurant to date! Will always accept an invite or put one out to go to this restaurant for dinner, in a quiet, private and lovely dining area. The food is to die for and the servers are fast and very friendly. Definitely check this place out if you have the time
One of the best restaurants in Edmonton.
Went here with some friends visiting from out of town and wanted a restaurant that would satisfy both the meat eaters and vegans in the group. It was perfect. Everyone agreed that the Vegetarian “meats” were delicious. The food was absolutely incredible, the service was great and the price was so reasonable! Will definitely make this a regular spot.
This restaurant is beautiful! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! Extremely good value! Our whole family, including the meat eaters, were raving about the food! I recommend their spicy curry "chicken"???? Our kids and my mother in law LOVED the ginger beef!! And wonton soup????
This place is amazing! I have been here four or five times now and I have never been disappointed. The servers are super friendly, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. The prices for the food is also amazing. If you visit Padmanadi I recommend trying the lemon chicken and coconut jasmine rice.
I can’t pronounce the name - but I can pronounce DELICIOUS! Let me start by saying - a little bit of a hassle at the front. We’re from …
Lunch
Always delicious! Friendly staff and amazing food ! Thank you
I love this restaurant so much, my friends and I always come here for the buffets with your so much fun and we always leave very full. some of the vegetarian dishes actually surprised me because they taste so much like the real thing. Staff are always very friendly.
Great tasting food, fast and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Will definitely come back again!
Favorite restaurant!!! There is so many different dishes and all of them are unique. Haven't found anything that has dissatisfied me yet.
So for a person like me who is allergic to the essential food groups such as Gluten/Wheat, Dairy/Lactose, Corn, and not allowed to eat Soy... although I cheat on the last one, there was so much to eat here. I loved the customer service and the waitress... I don't know if I am allowed to use her name, but she was amazing; like if I were rich, financially, I would make her rich just because of who she is and how amazing she did her job. It didn't even feel like a job to her because she was so natural at conversing and doing her job at the same time. I loved, love, and am loving the food there. It is the greatest experience I have had since moving to Edmonton a month and a day ago. Thank you Padmanadi, your place is awesome. Oh and I just went there today... so this is not a stale review... Always amazing food & service. Been going to pads for well over 10 years and never have a negative experience. They love what they do, and it shows!
Edmonton's number one best vegan restaurant. Unrivalled. Always consistent. Fairly priced. Generous portion and more generous hospitality. Perfect and delicious tasting dishes. No disappointment and no fail.
The best all vegan place I have been to so far. Everything I had was delicious. Their buffet has a lot of options and desserts were good too. Highly recommended.
Amazing food! I got the chicken curry with coconut rice and the iced coffee & hands down the best meal I've had in my life!
I am a carnivore tricked into a vegan restaurant by my wife. What an amazing surprise. Vegan food that tastes great at reasonable prices... I didn't think it was possible. This restaurant won me over and deserve to be successful. Go try it. I can't say enough good things.
WOW!! My taste buds were in paradise with every bit I took! Definitely a most try for vegetarians and meat eater.
I was excited to order from Padmanadi as I have heard great things. I ordered off skip the dishes. I choose to get the Chilli Tofu which is supposed to come with soup, spring rolls and jasmine rice. The container of soup was hardly half full and tasted horrible. I could not even tell what kind of soup it was. They had replaced the spring rolls with wontons (which I do not like) without asking and the vegetables were either over cooked or not cooked at all (mush tomatoes and cold raw broccoli). I was not impressed and will not eat there again.
Amazing food. I am a meat eater, but this vegan spot surprised me. Get the Ginger "beef".
Good restaurant, with a nice light atmosphere. We found the service prompt and chipper. The food was good. The fried tofu was our favorite starter. Love family style serving. The curries were tasty, and they had some kick. A nice vegetarian place. They use a lot of gluten meatless things, and mushrooms. The seitan curry was yummy. The vegetables and noodles were good too, just a bit of sesame oil. You can tell the recipes have been thoughtfully selected and prepared with care. My only complaint is that it was a bit predictable and I don't like it when veggie restaurants serve so many meat substitutes.
Service
Everything here is great. The service and the food is the best. Nice to have a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant with such a great selection!
So far top vegan experience. Super super tasty food. Cant wait to go back
My favorite vegetarian restaurant in the city (and possibly just favorite restaurant in general). The food is always delicious, and there's a lot to choose from. Menu is reasonably priced, and portions are well sized. I highly recommend the curry mutton and the bamboo fungus soup. Restaurant is very bright and modern. Lots of seating, and the staff is always friendly. Plenty of parking in the surrounding neighbourhood. It's definitely worth a visit!
Very welcoming environment. The girls were very helpful. Unique options for food. Overall, great place to explore. Tried Padmanadi Platter, curry chicken, Singapore noodles and Soya latte Tea.
If I could eat here every day, I would. Their food hits the spot every. Single. Time. I had the gluten friendly curry mutton. The sauce was creamy bliss. The meat substitute was full of flavour, some of the best I’ve had ever. Will definitely be coming back!
If you like waiting for your food for a long time this is the place you want to go.
Ordered a dinner for 4 for 14FEB2021 via Uber Eats. We received a notification the driver had arrived at the restaurant. And then we received a text from Uber Eats that our order was cancelled. We called the restaurant and the staff told us that the Uber Driver was tired of waiting and left. We asked if we could drive over and pick up our food and the person talked to the manager who said no. So no food for us tonight I guess and I'll have to go to my son's hockey practice on an empty stomach.
Went in here with my wife for her birthday. Had always heard about this place and the good reviews it had. We ordered their crispy chicken strips with homemade sauce followed by curry chicken and coconut rice. Great quantity fast service delicious food. It has a very calm and peaceful ambiance and the staff are great and very friendly. Must visit place for someone who wants to try vegan food.
Not a vegan in any way. This was a place chosen by others and I almost turned around and cancelled. Then I thought well let's give it a try. The food was amazing! The waitress was absolutely helpful and had the friendliest demeanor I have seen in a long time. Even the owner came up and personally asked us how things were and chatted us up. This non vegan will definitely be back.
Still one of the best vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the country. Everything is so delicious.
My husband and I made a reservation with our 4 month old on Valentine’s Day and the staff was amazing. They saved a spot where we could tuck in our stroller and made us feel very welcome on this busy evening. The food is always amazing and we love coming here.
I can not say enough about this place. I have been here a few times now and I've absolutely loved every dish. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is relaxing and clean, it's just amazing.
Food is great. Atmosphere is awesome. Great for vegans and carnivores alike. Cant say enough great things about this place. we don't eat out all that much.. but... Been there well over a dozen times the last couple years.
This place never disappoints, it always feels like family
Very very good. Delicious ginger beef. All the good without the bad. Coconut rice awesome as well. Will return for sure.
Amazing! It's so rare to find a vegan place that can satisfy everyone. I couldn't even tell that the spicy chicken dish wasn't chicken! Will definitely come back again.
Good food, fast service, amazing options…. We spontaneously planned to eat here. Turned out that my non vegetarian friends enjoyed it as much I did. Great service from servers as well as the owner took out time to talk to us. Smartly worked out dishes!
Wonderful food, great environment. If you're from Winnipeg, this is very similar to Affinity. If you're also familiar with the chain Loving Hut around the world, you will also like this place.
I go here often with my family and their food never disappoints! Although I don’t really recommend the Seaweed soup, could just be me that didn’t like it but it was literally just seaweed. Other than that the flavours of the food were perfect and paired with great customer service you can’t go wrong!
The best option for vegan/vegetarian friendly fare in Edmonton. The owners are always happy to see you and work hard to remember regulars, which is impressive.
Food is phenomenal, everything is flavourful and delicious! You do not miss the meat at all! The portions are also pretty good, the Shanghai noodles are my new go to for takeout. Portions are pretty decent as well!
I am not even vegetarian/vegan and this is one of my favourite restaurants, that's how good it is. The General Tao chicken and Ginger beef are family favourites. It's amazing food for such a great price, perfect for family get togethers.
A dining STAND OUT!!! Not just for Edmonton, not just for vegetarian, it's JUST DARN GOOD! The owner (Kasim) is one of the coolest people you will ever meet!!! He remembered our faces, and takes such a "we are all family here" style approach to customer service. We always feel welcome and at home at Padmanadi. As two omnivores we have been proud to show off this local gem to local friends and out of town guests alike. My father hadn't had good authentic Gado Gado like this since he traveled Indonesia in the 1970s and he found it a real treat! The flavors are amazing and way the chefs create the dishes the food is able to sing its best natural flavors! My personal favorites include the Dendeng, Curry Chicken, Satay with Peanut Sause, Corn Chowder Soup, and Gado Gado. Careful going here once, you'll love it so much you will become a regular. 11/10 stars for food and service.
Amazing food! Fantastic Service! We went there as a large group so we got to sample many of the menu items. Every one was delicious. The “famous” ginger beef was incredible, best I’ve ever had. Would recommend it to even carnivorous restaurant goers. Excellent pricing and value. I will return. Deservedly 5 star.
My best friend became vegan and wanting to support her we decided to try this restaurant. I am very much a carnivore but I'm willing to try new things and was not at all disappointed! The salted "chicken" was amazing! The ginger "beef" was the best ginger beef I've ever had, real or fake beef. We ordered a ton of different dishes and everything was incredible! Very excited to return! Try it! You will not be disappointed!
Amazing vegan food. Staff is super friendly. I can't wait to visit Edmonton again. Chocolate lava cake is out of this world ♥️
Although the food was good, flies and fruit flies were inside the restaurant.
As a life long vegetarian it was just a little overwhelming to have an entire menu that I could choose from. The food was delicious!
If I could afford to solely eat padmanadi dishes all day every day, I would. Such a fantastic place to dine in with extremely lovely staff and fun decor. I've been ordering pick up a lot lately and the items are always packaged well. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse and the cheesecake.
The people here are always so kind. The food is amazing!
Great cuisine and customer service as well as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options
Delicious food and Amazing service like always!
I've been eating at Padmanadi's since it was just a little hole in the wall establishment. The food is still amazing, but their current location is much more spacious. I'd eat here every day if my wallet and waistline could handle it.
I'm a die-hard meat eater. Put aside that it's a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. This is one of the best restaurants EVER that I've eaten at, let alone amazing vegetarian food. Yes, I could tell it wasn't real meat. But wow it was close with some of the dishes due to the incredible variations in spices, proteins, and texture. The flavours were rich and diverse and, just like a meat dish, I found myself putting the "meat" chunks aside to save for the very end instead of powering through the "meat" first so I could drown it after with the veggies and sauce like other vegan dishes I've tried. Service was stellar despite the busy Tuesday night. The owner even came over and had an awesome conversation with us to get to know our family. Will be back. Even the leftovers today were incredible
