Attended my sister's surprise party here on the weekend. The room that was set aside for us was beautifully set up for the event with plenty of staff, who were exceptionally attentive and engaging (without being annoying). Our wine glasses were never, ever empty! Meghan, our server, was the sweetest and most considerate hostess - even going so far as to providing me with warm & wet cloths to refresh my face after an emotional moment (yes, I'm THAT party guest ????)! She also offered to take pictures of the event as we mingled. And the FOOD - wow! Impeccable presentation and everything was delicious & perfectly prepared. The spread was something out of my dreams ???? will definitely be coming back!

I’d say 4.5 stars. Good spot to grab eats before the game but go early as everyone else has the same idea. Ahi Tuna Club is my favourite along with the sushi Appetizer. Every time I go I secretly hope they bring back the original apple pie.

It was alright. The initial server we had was awesome. Other staff always seemed "preoccupied" by something when they would come over and "check" on our table. Never made eye contact. Poor customer service skills.

When they brought the butter chicken out the waitress asked if any of the east Indians ordered it which I thought was racist. Then they brought out the curry and asked the east Indians again if they ordered it. They brought out the seafood and asked if it was for the Asians. Service was very slow on a not so busy night. They forgot our appetizers as well and served them to the wrong people. The waitresses seemed as if they did not enjoy their jobs. Water in the washroom had freezing cold water too.

I got pressed salmon sushi + Japanese salad. Salmon was perfectly torched/seared and jalapeno chips well complemented fatty taste of salmon. Japanese salad was ok. I wish it would've had more sweetness of ginger since the taste of miso paste was almost too overpowering for me.

Pretty disappointing. Normally am a fan of Joey's restaurants. Our server took awhile to take our order and our food took a long time to come out as well. When it did, the 5 of us agreed our meals were hardly warm and probably forgotten. No quality check was done. Several times tried to get our servers attention but it seemed like she was avoiding our table. When she did finally come by I tried to give her feedback and she seemed like she couldn't care less. She responded she would talk to the manager and well, she never really bothered to follow up with any response or care to our experience. Ordered butter chicken and it was more so veggies and 3 small pieces of chicken in there. Wouldn't recommend this location. Giving two stars only for the ambience. Almost didn't make it home in time to use the bathroom and rid myself of whatever made me sick here, found out I wasn't the only one from my group who got sick.

Honestly pretty disappointed with the overall experience!! I mean the food was good, but It was my dads 60th birthday today and with covid going on we wanted to do something special for him since we can’t have a party. We spent almost $300 on the bill and the server said they couldn’t even give him a free birthday dessert... the keg gives you a full sized cake for free on your birthday - just saying. Hello I want to start off by saying you have a beautiful establishment. My girl friend invited me out to your restaurant on Wednesday before the hockey game and I have to say everything was stupendous. Our server Juan was fantastic and very funny, he started to get to know us which I found quite nice and he surprised us with a chocolate cake at the end as I hadn’t seen my friend in a few years. That to me was just 10/10 service . Very happy with the overall food and experience. I will absolutely be coming back.

The hand made burger has a perfect blend for me with pickles tomato lettuce and sauce. The bun was fresh with a little crusty edge as I really enjoy. Friends had the Tuna Poke Bowls and really enjoy the mixture.

Came in last night (Dec 17, 2019) after arriving in Edmonton for business and this restaurant did a superb job. My server was very polite and professional and did a great job. The food was amazing and very fresh and to my exact order. The hostess Betty was very friendly and sweet and has some amazing stories! Even though she was from the front desk and was quite busy, she was able to seat me, get me my drink and ring in my order! I am very impressed and can't wait to come back. Thank you Joeys for the experience and tell Betty "Amasegenalo"!

First time to JOEY, and I was very impressed! It was to have dinner before a concert and the wait time for a table was about 45 minutes. We were offered to order drinks and served a complimentary delicious portion of an appetizer while we waited at the front. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. The staff was great, very friendly and provided wonderful service. It was very busy but our drinks and food were served very timely... and the food was Amazing!! Having Happy Hour food and drink menu options was an added bonus. That definitely won’t be my last time to JOEY!

Arrived before 5:00 on game day to get a table for my family who were on their way downtown. The manager (?) at the door told me 3 times in a matter of 2 min that he’d be giving my table away and I’d have to leave if my party didn’t arrive right away. Each time he told me, I nodded and said I understood, they were busy. He repeated himself over and over, yet I didn’t argue! Quite a greeting!! Once my family arrived, the food took almost an hour! Suddenly we were rushing to make it to the game. Over the course of our meal, various workers came to our table, all of which were highly incompetent! One took a fork out of my daughters hand! Another hovered over my shoulder until I finished my salad, then asked if I wanted to keep my empty bowl…. (Umm isn’t that what you were waiting for as you creepily watched me eat my last bite?) Another asked if we wanted drink refills and then never returned. One of the side dishes can wrong but our waitress came so much later that it wasn’t worth fixing, we had to leave. The extra charge wasn’t amended on the bill… Overall just a crumby experience.

Where do I start with Joey Bell Tower? This is by far the best place in Edmonton. The setup is exceptional and the design by the Ice district is perfect. I've had many happy hours, dates, and birthday celebrations and no matter the occasion the staff always makes me feel like a king here. Even being a regular customer I feel like something magical happens each time I come in. Best foods are the sliders, salmon, and sushi cones.

I just didn’t like how our attendant attended us—she was like in a hurry maybe because it was her end of shift. We entered the resto past 12noon. She went to our table like 5 times to check if were done eating even though she can clearly see that we were still eating ( my friend my cutting her steak) would be nice if she was asking politely— but still I will be back once I visit the city development office. I just hope she won’t be the server when I get back.

We walked in the restaurant to find a nice dimly lit atmosphere with good ambience. There were groups of different people everywhere having fun and enjoying themselves. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was excellent especially for a Friday night. Btw, their mashed potatoes, which were actually mashed potatoes baked like a spring roll, was absolutely delicious. Instead of getting two sides, I should've just gotten a double order or these things. However, there was one part that my friend had an issue with. When me and my friends went to pay, the waitress asked if my friend's bills were gonna "be together". They are both males. I personally have no issue with that but my friend was irritated by it because they are not gay. That assumption was unwarranted.

I took my wife and daughter for dinner to Bell Tower the day after the shutdown ended, we couldn't wait to have a meal at a restaurant!! As usual, the food was terrific. But what really blew us away were the measures they put into place to help stop the spread of COVID: - sanitizing station when you walked in - table distancing measures - masks on all the staff - different staff for table food drop-off and pick-up - directional arrows on the ground Everything was perfectly done. My family felt very safe. Would for sure go back again soon, and anyone considering going out for a meal should feel confident in their visit to joey bell tower.

Ordered food Togo, to sum the experience up joeys had to call back 10 minutes after the order was placed to “ confirm my order’ the order that was repeated back to myself was incorrect. I proceeded to give them again the correct order. When showing up to pick up my order the hostess seem almost bothered by my presence I paid and left. When I got home my salad was soggy since the dressing was put on it, I was missing ingredients and well as I did not receive my full order. I did write to them on line and never received any feed back after. For this I would never recommend the joey bell tower location.

Went in late night for a quick bite and drink with my business partners few nights ago. The bartender we had Daryl was super friendly and makes the whole experience fun and excellent. A typical Joey's experience except for the fact that the music wasn't so loud and you could actually have an conversation with someone on the other side of the table. It was weird that my friend had to ask a few times for her drinks. It was like the waitress didn't listen to her at all.

When I very first time came here I was thinking like that, this place have the similar quality of food and service as other restaurant provided but literally guy's I was tally wrong. This place is excellent on every single aspect of the customer. Food at this place is more than awesome and yummy. Services we're fast. Staff and waitress are super friendly and of attentive nature. Had the worst experience ever. Our sever was Fareen L.. she never got us water, then took forever for our drinks to come. When our food came my friend got an extremely small portion size fries. We let 2 servers know that it was abnormally small fries. The first one didn’t do anything then the 2nd LEGIT ROLLED her eyes at us and said she would get her manager. The manager told us that they took care of the fries but just honestly didn’t care and completely brushed us off. Then when we were paying the server made the comment, “so the restaurant you ladies work at must have bigger portion sizes than us” while laughing at us. She was so unbelievable rude. The thing is, if they just talked to us and said sorry or got us more fries we would have paid for the regular price and still tipped well. But the fact that we shoved to the side and had rude comments thrown at us just didn’t sit well.

Unreal happy hour menu and the speed in which our food and drinks came out was impressive. Docking a star for our server taking food orders with hands full of dirty dishes. Big no-no in Service 101. Also, a different server we hadn’t seen once before taking our payment and asking the age-old “plans after” was a bit questionable. Absolutely would make sense if the servers were swamped but that wasn’t the case here. Would come back to give them another shot though.

This was an incredible, real city-dining experience. The food was to die for. I ordered the paella, and my other half ordered a medium (accordingly cooked) steak. His words were, "I could eat five of those". The service was, on par. We were greeted promptly, and when the other hostess was off the phone, she even was quick to address us. We felt very welcome, comfortable and the noise was at an acceptable level for the atmosphere. Joey's has made it to the top on my list, and anyone who would say otherwis,e doesn't acknowledge the hard work and serious dedication these wonderful people put into this restaurant. 20/5 stars!!

Although I understand this is a chain restaurant, I just felt the food was so boring. The chicken katsu salad just tasted like basic breaded chicken with store bought salad dressing and basic pre-shredded flavourless vegetables. My dining partner had a burger, which was just OK, but again the side salad looked (and tasted) like something from one of those bagged salads from the grocery store. The service was fine, but overall just a food letdown. The space is kinda tacky, and the lighting is just bad, Wont be back.

Had a great dinner out! The service was absolutely excellent! I believe Dawn was our server. We had the Tandori chicken flatbread for an appetizer. It was amazing, the flatbread was so light and fluffy. I had a steak and my wife had the lobster ravioli and both were awesome! We would definitely recommend this awesome spot! Everyone was friendly. I came in with my dad for his birthday dinner and I can not say enough nice things about our server. Fareen is very good at her job, it was our first time there and did not get annoyed when we kept asking her questions about the menu and food. She was very patient, and she honestly made our day. She went above and beyond of her job description to make us feel like home. Servers like Fareen will make me come to Joey's over and over again (of course the food was good too). I really can't say enough nice things about Fareen, if you go to Joey's, ask for her!!!

Unfortunately, i would have to give this rating a 3. I love the location and the restaurant itself, however on this particular visit the service was poor. The server walked by our table many times but never stopped to attend to us. Our drinks were empty and our empty appetizer plates were still on the table when our dinner came. I also wish the menu had more selection.

Great atmosphere! Good food at average prices. Wine prices are too high, albeit same as all Canadian restaurants. US restaurants know how to price wine! Parking is a bit of an issue. Close to the Ice District and extremely busy whenever an event or hockey game is on.

Went before the Oilers-Flames game, and despite it being a complete zoo, thought it was excellent. Service was on point, noted that multiple times people were ensuring drinks were topped up and that we were taken care of. Food was excellent, and we didn't feel rushed at all. 10/10, would recommend.

Nice decor but our server was nice but wasnt very attentive, also never asked if we wanted another drink, instead just took away the empty glasses. The ahi tuna steak sandwich was awfull, it was like a slab of grey moosh! After expressing my distaste, the server offered to replace it with anything else i would like but at that time i was totaly turned off and declined. She later returned with a gift card to use on my next visit.

Food was excellent but staff could use some serving etiquette and maybe let's not have 12 different servers for one table. One night I literally was served by like 4 different girls hard to know what's happening when that happens which is probably why my drinks and food took forever to arrive. Other than that great place to eat not alot of parking tho you do have to pay for parking.

I love yams and they have it ???? The hand pressed burger I had was very satisfying and the servers were really approachable. In terms of vibe, it's very chill and the set up of the booths made it more comfortable to talk with your friends. The happy hour menu was really affordable! The food here is pretty good! They have these nice sushi cones, every time I have had it, I have never been disappointed. The roast chicken is also cooked well, moist and served hot. The ahi tuna, another great dish which I highly recommend. Overall, I was very happy with my visit.

I never eat post Oilers game. I eat Halal and no one has ever gone through the menu at JOEY with me before. Last night after the Oilers game we came in and our server Rachel went through the menu with us from cover to cover. We talked about the cuts of meat and the beef and the chicken. She kept asking what did 'Halal' mean for us. She was so detailed and so kind - we felt comfortable enough to order a burger. It was so good!!! Hats off to the chef! It was amazing! We also had the apple pie and the chocolate cake. We are coming back next Friday to eat with our family Thank you so much Rachel. I hope to see you next Friday with all the answers to our questions about the chicken. It is so exciting to have a place to eat after the game. Thank you again, Rachel! This place is great for girls night or date night. I loved how we were sitting inside but it had a half wall so the nice weather was able to come in. Really had that inside outside feel.. The staff were great!!! Prices weren't too bad. The food was really good! Try the donuts!!!!!! seriously so light and fluffy. The location offers parking nearby (paid) and is near bus routes. Walking distance to other things. I enjoyed this place a lot, you can go casual or dress up and head out!

Ordered via telephone around 11AM. Was told my food was going to be ready for noon and requested it for noon. They called me at 1130 to let me know it was ready and I could pick it up. Picked up the food at noon since I was off work for lunch. Brought my farmers market salad to work with me, the avocado was brown and the chicken was cold. Dressing was on the side when I did not request that. Sadly I love Joey and I'm disappointed with the quality of food I received today. The food sort of tasted bad upon eating it.

My experience at this little gem is always a 5 +++ !! The food presents well, nice variety and taste is super satisfying. I have tried most of the 'Bowls' and love them all! Wine list has moderate to higher end - but on a splurge the French Chardonnay is the Bomb???? As we typically go in the evenings, the night manager Ty Lake is a welcoming friendly face. His calm and gentle way with fellow staff and tables as he checks in earns great respect. The flow of the evening is always a pleasant experience. Definitely keeps us coming back????????????????

From the moment I walked in, my friend and I received phenomenal service. The hostess was the sweetest and so was the waitress. I was a little disappointed that the ‘Lobster Grilled Cheese’ was no longer on the menu but I ended up getting the ravioli with lobster and prawns w/ lobster cream sauce - boy was it amazing! I have never been disappointed with any food from any JOEY location; high quality and you get your money’s worth. This particular location has a really nice vibe to it. You definitely feel the downtown Rogers place vibe as well. Will be returning for sure!

I would avoid if you have any food sensitivities. It doesn’t seem like they take it seriously here. Ate dinner here last night. I have a dairy allergy, so I made sure to tell the waitress that I couldn’t have any cream, milk, butter, etc. The food came and it looked okay, but I ended up getting pretty sick when I got home. Turns out they cooked it all in butter. Thanks Joeys for giving me food poisoning. At least it tasted okay.

I asked for vegan items on menu and was surprised to see the waitress bring an entire vegan menu for me to consider. The waitress who seated us had little understanding of what vegan was, which was a bit disappointing. I expect people in food industry to know these things. Anyways, when the other waitress got the vegen menu, I was divided between the tacos and rice bowl and opted for the other. The rice bowl (with soy chicken) was full of flavor and very delicious. The veggies and soy were cooked perfectly. I took off one star as they didnt have any vegan dessert. My colleagues ordered a raspberry mousse and the waitress said I could just have raspberries as dessert. Not sure if she was joking or if this was her first time hearing about vegan dessert. When many restaurants offer them these days, I am sure Joeys can do that too. I hope to see them on menu next time around.

What a gem in the city. Honestly one of the best places with the best food and best service you can get. Perfect for casual/formal night out, date night, or hanging with freinds. Food is 10/10 with lots of healthy selection all served to perfection. The service is like none other you'll find - makes you feel like family. And the best way to describe the atmosphere is 'comfortable'. You come here to relax, but also it feels very energetic and alive (kitchen views). Best experience at any restaurant so far, the manager Simon went out of his way to care us the entire night. They have a happy hour from 9pm where food and drinks have great discounts! Our food was cooked perfectly, the host greeted us with friendly genuine enthusiasm, food came out really quick and fresh and we had 4 different people check up on us to make sure everything was g. Not only was I impressed with the quality of service, food and covid precautions but how positive and happy all the staff was! Will definitely be back soon :)

Wouldn't advise going during or around lunch. We were asked our drink order three times by three different people before we got drinks. Although I appreciate attentive service, I was mid bite with my hands full of food when someone asked me to hand them my half full water glass so they could fill it, which could have waited in my opinion. At the end of my experience I still gave an average tip (I've worked in the industry before) but was highly displeased with the server checking how much I tipped her before thanking me. I'd rather drive across town to the Mayfield location.

In these new times that we are living in we decided to place an order through DoorDash to fulfill a craving. Unfortunately, our order was completely wrong not even close. After a stressful conversation with Doordash we decided to call the restaurant and their amazing manager AJ turned our night around with her kind telephone manner. We had our meal delivered personally by a lovely staff member made fresh and hot. Awesome experience!!!! Alright, so they’ve really looked at the details here. There’s a fancy sign warning patrons about being ill and not coming in to be safe (not the usual piece of paper slabbed on the window which I’m not against but again, the details!) you get hand sanitizer in the front, EVERYONE is wearing masks and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Food was fantastic as per usual (consistency is key). I had the pretty lady drink (girly but fabulous ????), steak lobster ravioli with a side of spring roll potato’s, and the apple pie. They have staff to give you your items (menu, food, drinks) and other staff taking away your items (menu, empty dishes etc.) Alyssa was a phenomenal waitress! Download their app to pay for your meal so you can go whenever you want. Awesome food, service, and experience!

I gotta say that this place is honestly one of the best in downtown Edmonton. I’m not usually big on franchise restaurants, but I’d die for this place. Granted, I do go to Joeys often because if it’s proximity to work & home, but that’s besides the point. The food is always meeting or exceeding expectations, the drinks are awesome (if you’ve never had a Joey Pick Me Up, you’re missing out on the finer things in life), and the service is spectacular. Last time I went with a buddy, Fareen served served us, and somehow managed to put up with our lame jokes and funny conversation, but she’s easily one of the best servers there. In fact, every time I’ve been the service has just been amazing. Everyone is so friendly and nice and overall it makes for a great atmosphere!

The HERB crushed Salmon was absolutely decadent. Super flavorful, moist and juicy, cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes was creamy and velvety and a great addition. Asparagus was decent but I'm not a big fan of asparagus so lol. The Fish tacos was also very tasty. Food arrived HOT and very fast considering there was an Oilers game going on at the time. Very surprising. Ambience was very nice as well. Our server and drink staff attending tables were super attentive. As soon as our drink was empty 4 seconds later a another replacement drink was there. Amazing service. If there was a restaurant deserving of a Michelin star it would be this one. Take Out Review: During COVID my boyfriend and I ordered take out 3 times. Each time was Joey's Bell Tower. All because the first order we placed exceeded our expectations. It continued to do so the 2 more times after that. Food was packaged in a way it tasted like it would dining in at Joey's. For example the Ribs were in a separate container than the fries. No squished and soggy fries here. The coleslaw sauce was on the side, separate from the coleslaw. That way it was kept crisp and fresh upon eating. Lettuce wraps were packaged separately with lettuce in one container and the chicken and noodles in another. Keeping it fresh and crisp. As for the apple pie. Which isn't pictured because we forgot before devouring it. lol Was amazing hot and fresh. The Skip driver was so quick and ahead of schedule the ice cream hardly melted. I'll continue to take out at this location. As for dining in, I'll be back for sure sooner than later!

Went after 9pm to have some happy hour drinks, and after waiting 20min for a table were informed that because it was an Oilers game there weren't any happy hour deals. We weren't coming from the event so that was a bummer. Pretty disappointing and unexpected since we went after an event in September and happy hour was in full effect. If you want a late happy hour you are better off going to earls or cactus club instead, that way you don't need to check the Rogers place schedule before making a plan.

Came shortly after the oilers skill competition. Place was not packed at all but had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. Was offered a sample of their wine which was really good. Waitress notified us there were no tables left so we had to sit at the bar. There were empty tables everywhere, we requested a table shortly after we ordered drinks at the bar. They had no problems moving us. Was a bit disappointed that the waitress didn’t mention happy hour until we sat down at the table. I believe happy hour was from 3-6pm, we ordered around 230. All our food and drinks were on the happy hour menu. Didn’t bother to mention it. Food is always consistently good. Great location.

Context:Stage 1 of Covid-19 relaunch. Haven't been to a restaurant in months, so it was really nice to be out and Joey's delivered on making it memorable! I had the cobb salad and it was filling and of excellent quality as far as cobb salads go! There was a mistake in our order that would have been fine really, but they were so fast to fix it and took the appetiser off our bill. Lots of hand sanitizer around, paper menus, everyone was wearing masks and I saw handles, pay machines, etc. Regularly wiped down

Service appears to be way slower, and food quality & portions sadly is on the downward trend. My last visit had to wait 30 minutes for drinks. Delicious food and creative menu combined with friendly and intuitive staff makes Joey Bell Tower a must!! They also feature extensive happy hour specials (food and drinks) from 3 - 6pm, and then starting again at 9pm. Some of the staples are the gyoza, seared salmon sushi, lettuce wraps, farmer’s market chicken salad. I was intending to take photos of my food, but got distracted by how good it looked. Special shout out to Alex for elevating the restaurant experience!

A horrible place with terrible staff, our server Breana was so rude she kept rushed us and kept rolling her eyes when we asked for help. She made it an issue that we ordered virgin cocktails since the bar was “closed” even though the bartender was there making other drinks. On top of it all the bartender poured a beer and served alcohol after 10pm, due to the new restrictions this is concerning. When we asked our server she tried making excuses and finally the manager came and apologized, but it just goes to show if we didn’t realize they would have kept breaking rules for there “regulars” as it was described, but it was an issue for them to make a mocktail but didn’t have a problem serving alcohol. I definitely won’t be returning, it was a terrible experience and I don’t recommend this location to anyone else.

I was there a couple days ago and I have never been so uncomfortable in my life. The management is absolutely horrible. I was trying to have a conversation with my server while the on of the managers was glaring down at her. I understand it may be a stressful job, but this made me and my guests uncomfortable. Went for a nice lunch and found that the place was relatively quiet on a Saturday afternoon, I very much so enjoyed the food but the service could have been slightly better, we just found for the amount of people in the restaurant we didn’t gain enough attention from staff with things like refills or asking how we were doing, that being said I would definitely return to give them another chance purely on the fact the food was amazing.

Terrible service. Waited for 34 minutes after ordering for my beer to arrive and when it finally did there was so much head on it when it settled it was only 3/4 of a beer. When I nicely brought this to the attention of the waiter he told me that that’s how they pour beers during happy hour, and that it’s cheap enough I shouldn’t worry about the little bit that I missing. I normally go to the joeys in south common and love it they are so friendly and always have great food and even better service, but joeys bell tower were rude bad service and food portions were just as bad as there beer portions.

We walked in an hour before close and the hostesses turned their back to us and didn’t address us. We went and sat ourselves in the lounge and no one began to serve or address us for 10-15 minutes we went to the bar to grab a drink. The bartenders were great. When the manager walked by we asked for another round and he said last call already happened. No one had told us that so we went to the bar and the bartenders were okay with giving us another round. Bartenders were great. Service/management was terrible/non-existent.

Out for a ladies night and had originally gone to cactus. Service there was so poor so we decided to go to Joeys. Immediately we were greeted by two very friendly hostesses. We did mention our experience at the other restaurant and in response the manager ended up bringing us a bottle of champagne to try and compensate for our initially poor night. This made our night!! Joey consistently delivers delicious meals and supportive staff. I've been to the same location on many occasions as well as other Joey locations and each time I've tried different food. The Chicken Katsu salad, chicken parmesan and steak and lobster ravioli stand out to me so far, but all food has been great. The waitresses I've had have been very helpful and provided good advice for wine pairings including with the delicious Apple Pie. I highly recommend their downtown location.

The service here is fantastic — even when the staff have been run off their feet, they’ve always made sure to keep us updated on the status of our order, make sure we have drinks, and never left us feeling like we’d been forgotten. The interior is modern and open, which makes for a lively atmosphere. The patio is large and a really nice place to sit when it’s open. Being just a few steps from Rogers Place, it can get busy on game/concert days, so plan your timing accordingly!

Typical Joeys food. Which is to say it’s good. Even very good but not spectacular. This location has an excellent vibe and decor. Lost stars for two things. The pasta dish we ordered (over $17) consisted of a portion size smaller than a grapefruit. It was so inconsistent with their portions to price ratio that I thought maybe it was a half order. Second was service late at night. After seeing our tables food on the pick up counter for a while and no restaurant employees at all other than people in kitchen, I went to go get it myself. HINT: want a refreshing summer drink. Try their watermelon feature.

Had an amazing experience tonight! We couldn't get a table for 6 in the lounge, so we ended up at the bar, and had plans to move to a table. The bartender Damien was so good, we decided to not move, and stay at the bar! He made us amazing cocktails, delicious shots, had great recommendations for wine pairings. September, 6, 2021 11:03pm We had arrived to this location and been seated not only did we wait 8 minutes for our server breanna , she then explained how only one person can only have a virgin cocktail due to them having to un wrap everything and it was a big deal. My friend had gone up to the bar to ask if it was okay if they had one as well and she said no problem which was nice , but it was past 10:00 pm and they had no problem serving beer to a regular I don’t think that they should give anyone “special treatment “ when our drinks were finished they sat there for at least 10 mins while she was talking to her co workers and on her phone . The manger then brought the drinks to our table and it was very awkward. She never gave us last call for our none Boozy drink . Then when we got our food she was somewhat interested in us because she was rushing us to get out constantly at our table to ask if she can clear plates or anything when we’re all still clearly eating . Will not be returning back .

There is nothing bad to say about this place except for the lack of parking in the downtown area. Food is fantastic. The yellowfin tuna was perfect with every bite. The sauce for the seared tuna is made of cilantro so it might not be a favorite for everyone. The crispy mash is always a good side to choose, crunchy on the outside but soft and buttery on the inside. Our server Alex was incredible. We had several mosquitoes in the patio dining area and she offered to kill them for us if they were bothering us. Although she was busy catering to a few tables, she remained attentative and friendly throughout our dining experience. I would love to come back just for her service.

The service we had last night was amazing! All the servers were very attentive and an empty plate or glass didnt sit longer than 15 seconds! I liked that they also had 'Not In Use' signs on every second table and they staggered all the guest very well. All staff were also wearing masks and there was hand sanitizers all over the place. The whole restaurant made us feeling quite comfortable for our first meal out in months.

Was walking around downtown looking for a place to eat and the friends and I decided on Joey. The host was extremely pleasant. My friends & I had Monica as our server, she was amazing. JOEY has always resulted in a good time. They've never failed to be the back drop to a great night. However, my experiences with Fareen L. over the weekend was worth writing a review for. The moment we were seated she came by for introductions and completely engaged us in conversations. She disappeared after taking our drink orders, returned with our first appetizer (on the house!!) and continued to spoil us from there on out. Fareen was the most friendly, engaging and enjoyable server I've had. Service at JOEY is always top notch but Fareen was still a step above. Great night!!!

Food and drinks are terribly over priced, and the food is sloppily prepared and presented. My hamburger was still pink inside and the overall presentation of the food when it arrived at the table looked like a dog's breakfast! My glass of Malbec was $17 without tip or tax so beware! The only redeeming quality of this experience overall was the wonderful hostessing and our excellent server! I don't recommend this restaurant though. ????

Ate here for anniversary dinner and wish we decided to go to the keg. The portion sizes are ridiculously small for the prices now since covid they did major cut backs. Main dishes looked like appetizers. Got the spaghetti and the tomato sauce tasted weird and undercooked couldnt enjoy our food and had to skip on ordering dessert because of how disappointing this was. Will never return.

My girlfriend and I visited Joey Bell Tower for my birthday. Everything went excellent; from the reservation, that was confirmed via phone the day prior, to the actual dinner. Food very tasty, and the highlight was our server, MONICA. During the chatting we mentioned passingly that it was my 50th birthday. Monica caught on that comment, and took action: she brought a molten chocolate cake, courtesy, with writing on it wishing me a happy one. It's a small gesture, but very meaningful: she identified an opportunity for improving the experience of the guest, took initiative, and showed care for the guest (us). This are the traits of someone that can excel in many activities. Nicely done, Monica, your gesture made my day : )

Joey Bell Tower offers a damn near perfect experience in the Ice District. The decore puts you at eaze and the staff are out going. At least 4 people came to chat at our table. They made us feel special. I was impressed by the open kitchen at the front entrance. It was well organized and spotless. Everyone was professional. We were having so much fun that one round turned into 2. We were late for puck drop and totally didn't care. Up scale patrons were quiet and respectfull. I look forward to coming back to admire the open air patio at night.

Amazing food, and a great atmosphere, but the service however was horrible.Came here for my 18th birthday hoping to have a few drinks. I ordered a drink from their menu and was told they don't sell that drink anymore and that they will try and make me something identical.She comes back with the drink and tells me that the bartender tried my drink and said it was good but when i tried it, it was disgusting and not worth the $11 they charged me for it.She then pressured me to finish my drink and told me that the only reason i was there was to get plastered (drunk) and that i should chug my drink down even though it tasted horrible.She was inattentive to a point we had to ask other servers to help us out and grab the drinks we ordered and had been waiting quite awhile for.At least the food on my 18th was good.

Hand-pressed Burger was delicious, fries ok. Iced tea very watery not much iced tea taste. Too pricey for it all though. Music was so loud it was hard to hear others at my table talking. Asked hostess/manager? if it was possible to turn it down a little and they looked at my like I had two-heads. Didn't come back to say anything so asked our waitress and she did come back to say they couldn't turn it down. Thank you for that at least. Won't visit again if I want to actually chat with my group.

My wife and I have been to Joey a handful of times and are always greeted by friendly staff who you can tell want you to be there the minute you walk through the door. The food comes out in a reasonable time and is consistently fresh and delicious! We came in for a date night yesterday and we wanted to give appreciation to our server, Fareen. She was personable, entertaining, and delivered exceptional guest service. She was very persuasive and got my wife to try 3 new drinks which she absolutely loved. Even while she was attending to another table, other staff members were on their game and were always on top of refills and clearing plates - amazing and seamless teamwork! Will without a doubt be back!

Great restaurant in the ICE District. They offer a good selection of menu items in a urban chic environment. The lounge is usually buzzing with patrons before and after oilers games. If you are planning on going on game night, highly recommend reservations. It’s directly across from Rogers place, so it will be super convenient to get to the game. Parking in Edmonton tower or bell tower is about 20.00. They have happy hour specials that are great. Recommend trying the AHI Tuna Club and a super sonic gin and tonic.

It's an elegant place with elegant food and elegant service. The closest parking cost $30 for the only timed option offered. I'm sure if you search around the downtown area you could find parking for less. We had a member of our party with walking difficulties so our choices were limited We were there for lunch which cost $167 plus our tip for our total cost of $201. We came in from Regina for an Oiler game and was recommended to come here from a guy on the street. We heeded his advice and are for ever thankful. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was amazing but the service was beyond our expectations. I know most restaurants assign servers to tables and you are stuck with that server all night, not here. At Joey Bell Tower you get a group of servers looking after your every need. All of the servers make sure you have a drink, your glass or plate is ready or cleared etc. Great team environment. I highly recommend this pub/restaurant to everyone. The clientele had everyone from a construction worker to the mayor. Ask for A.J. her and her team will treat you right.

Food wasn't worth the price nore was it very good. We ordered the Sliders Royale, Lettuce Wraps and Chili Chicken. The sliders had all the flavor of a salt lick. The wraps didn't have a whole serving of wok vegetables and was mostly soggy noodles. I'm not sure that the Chili chicken was even a full Brest worth (it had the best flavor of the 3). I've updated the post rather than discuss this over a private email as suggested.

We used to love this place. Don't get me wrong, the food, the ambiance, the service is great, but there is a big but... We have young children unfortunately, Joey Bell Tower is no longer toddler friendly. They do not provide high chairs anymore and this is very unfortunate. Not sure if this is a way to tell people not to bring kids or toddler in the restaurant but this is just too bad!

Fantastic location downtown to share a meal before you take in a game! Recommend the steak and lobster ravioli starter. Wife loves so much had the shrimp asparagus topped Lobster ravioli while I enjoyed a sirloin done perfectly to Med Rare with crispy potatoes Great place to enjoy supper and drinks with friends. Every JOEY that we've been to have been consistently amazing. The staff are always friendly, accommodating, and responsive. It is always busy but their service is always top notch. The food is consistently excellent. Everything I've ordered on the menu has been delicious and timely. Everything comes out at a reasonable amount of time and it is presented very well.

Nice place and good lava cake. Unfortunately the fries are basically over priced McDonalds. The servers only focus on male groups. We waited over 15 minutes before I had to walk across the restaurant just to seek out the waitress. This place has potential but it is squandered by the poor work ethic.

We came as a group after a super long day! From the moment we stepped in the GST team was so kind, the managers were welcoming and moved us tables with no problem to help accommodate! Our server was Walaa K and if I could give her 100 5 star reviews I would. She was so kind, outgoing and made us feel so welcome. We wish she could have joined us after her shift ended but we left before she was done. Ive never been to a Joeys with such an amazing atmosphere and group of staff. I don't know how they do it but, my favorite part is once the game is over they'll make sure they get you a table within 25 mins or less (even when an entire arena of people are headed to the ice district restaurants). Nice place to grab drinks and food with friends or family. It's on the pricier side but their food is usually very good. Service is also usually good and they make a point of keeping your drinks topped up even if you've only finished half of it. Location is a bit sketchy as it is located downtown but if you can look past that, it's a good place!

My colleagues and friends used to eat at Joey's frequently. In the last 3 weeks however, prices for items went up by $2-$3 each to account for the minimum wage hike...we spoke to the restaurant to verify this fact. ... ...not sure if the cost of an extra $2-$ PER FOOD ITEM including appetizers should be passed on like that to consumers when the restaurant IS NOT necessarily dipping into ITS PROFIT MARGIN TO FAIRLY PAY ITS WORKERS (meaning above a provincial dictated fair living wage without being mandated to pay workers what owners would deem fair from the start if their roles were reversed). It's important to understand that they can't - or shouldn't - expect visitors to tip then as the hike more then compensates for. And in some cases surpasses (depending on how much is ordered) even a 15-20% standard tip. It's not the consumers' duty to compensate so that the owners'/management's profits don't sink too much if any at all. ...

A very nice Joey's location. It is one of the few locations where you can speak to the person across the table from you and yelling or hand signals are not required. Staff are fairly nice and service was pretty good. Will be back if I need to have a meal when in the area.

After over 2 months of eating groceries at home (fortunately Catherine (my wife) is a great cook) we were thrilled to hear that Joeys Bell Tower was serving guests yesterday evening. We had checked with the restaurant a few days earlier and were told Thursday was the day! We made a booking with Nekko and arrived last night to one of the safest environments we have ever experienced in a dining room. In pre-Covid days we would dine out 3-5 times a week . Right from the beginning we were greeted by a masked and gloved hostess providing us with hand sanitizer and paper towels. We were seated in a booth (our favourite spot in Joeys) and never once during the whole evening did we feel uncomfortable. The black gloved servers and white gloved bussers were a stroke of genius in our opinion. Food delivery and table maintenance were handled separately. Even with all of the precautions it did not reduce our pleasure in having our Favorite dishes and the friendly efficient service we are accustomed to. Thank you for doing such a great job Nekko and staff. We plan on returning tomorrow.

I came to meet a friend here before an oiler game for happy hour. After he ordered food believing it was coming for the happy hour menu. As it showed up. He was told; as of 8am that day they removed happy hour for event nights. Was really disappointed, talked to a manager about it, as we came for just the happy hour. He was a bit rude about it, made us feel like we were lucky to get our drinks for happy hour. Wouldnt honnor anything even though their online website still has it listed. I will give him credit as he did buy us an appy. The company still hasnt updated the website. Which is poor accountability. Food is always good here. Ownership/ management needs to do a better job advising people of these changes.

Added myself to the wait list then proceeded to go to the bar grab a seat and drink. 5 minutes later the front door waitress comes in and removes my from the bar and says that I cant be on the waiting list and sit at the bar at the same time. She moved me back to the entrance and made me sit on a slab of wood. So comfortable! I've never had this type of experience at an upscale restaurant....
