I attended this location twice. The first time was 3 months ago and it was very good. The food was great and the service was also great. I then brought my wife for her birthday and it was not the same experience. We felt that the service was subpar. The waiter seemed condescending and there were no plates. We asked for more plates and the waiter told us eventually more would come up without actually checking to see if there were more plates. Again, the food was great but the service was lacking in my opinion.

Went for lunch and wasn’t impressed maybe cause it’s new and they need to work on things. First off the salad bar was very small and not too many hot items either. The cuts of meat had lots of fat on them and some lacked taste. The worst part was the time between each serving of meat. We were the only table there and it took 5 mins between each round. Service was decent. Price wise it’s not that much cheaper than pampas the other Brazilian steakhouse. They are only $5 cheaper. $22 for lunch and $44 for dinner. I would rather pay the extra $5 and go to pampas honestly.

Hands down Fumaca is the best place to eat Brazilian cuisine.. this is way better then Pampas’s in price wise and taste. Love the culture and customer service too. Food is great, price is right and the guys that are the food runners are also great. Our waitress "Jamie on the receipt" however wasn't great. Half an hour before drink order was taken and barely visited after. She seemed more interested in the tables that had more people at them. Overall good experience but when the waitress is unfriendly why would you want to come back just to feel unwanted. Hopefully the tips are split amongst all staff because I wanted to tip more but didnt want it to go all to her pocket.

Amazing service and super welcoming! Each cut of meat was excellent. The salad bar was exceptional, especially the potato salad and the roasted garlic. Anup (the owner) took time to tell us about each course in great detail - he is obviously an experienced chef. I especially loved the grilled pineapple with cinnamon, lovely way to end our meal and not overly sweet. Great value for money and as a Brazilian food lover, I enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend. I will 100% return.

Succulent meats that melt in your mouth! Delicious antipasto and cold buffet is the perfect accompaniment to the rich cuts of meat. Perfectly seasoned. The Creme Brule is to die for, if you can manage to save room in your stomach for dessert! Better value for the money than pampa and a nicer environment/ atmosphere within. Staff are professional and polite.

The way to go into the restaurant is a bit weird but there's a lot of praking out front. They social distancing all the tables. Plates of meat were served with salad of your choice. I've been to Brazilian Steakhouse restaurants before in other cities and found the food to be on par. Very disappointed however in one aspect of our experience which I will share. My brother and I were both in the city from other provinces and we found this place on our route Sunday afternoon and well recommended. We ordered drinks and made a pass by the salad bar and had some samplings of meat and fish, which I found tasty enough and was enjoying. My brother however was not. He found himself becoming quite ill (unrelated to the food I'm sure), but unable to eat. It was obvious that he had barely touched his initial serving and we advised our server that he was unable to continue with his meal due to illness. We asked for takeaway, explaining to staff that while we understood that this would normally be out of policy for a restaurant of this nature, the circumstances were obvious. One plate of food, barely touched and unable to continue dining at this time. We hoped that later he might come around and enjoy some of his food. We were flatly refused, without any expression of empathy. I paid the hefty bill, having no second servings myself and we departed. I even left a tip, although I'm not sure why, habit I guess. Anyway, we won't be back and I can't recommend.

Visited Fumaca recently and let me be honest it's most authentic Brazilian steak house I have visited in Edmonton. Compared to other Brazilian restaurant in Edmonton; this place definitely has better quality and variety of meats. Especially the bacon chicken wrap and grilled pineapple are my personal favorites. It's definitely a great value to the dollar with exceptional service. The river view is just amazing and sets the mood right if you plan a perfect evening. I can't write enough of this restaurant and strongly recommend this place over other Brazilian place, I am sure you won't be disappointed. I will look forward to be here again!!!

The restaurant serves delicious food. The quality if the meat/chicken is there! However, where it excelled in quality, it lacked in service. Very slow to get you your food. We had to reorder things we had asked for previously on multiple occasions in order to get it. Would go again with the mindset of having to wait and have a slow dinner. Overall, it was an alright experience, however there were some thing which put me off from going there again. First, we were informed of 11 types of meat, most of it being very similarly cooked and tasting steak/beef, and the taste wasn't as good as they were very bland. The salad/side bar was fine. The dessert menu was very poor and had very general items such as apple pie and cheesecake and when a restaurant advertises themselves as Brazilian then I expect that component in the desserts as well. Service was ok, however items were repeated and due to their similar appearance you didn't know if they were different and got full before any new things came along (they should've spread out their meats and not serve same thing over and over).

Giving a 3 because the servers were very pleasant and sweet, and the sides were tasty despite not being authentic Brazilian (to be fair I haven't been to any in Canada that had authentic Brazilian sides). The meat was fine, but sadly not what Brazilians would call BBQ. No charcoal was used so the meat didn't have that traditional BBQ flavor, and did not have that crispy/melting texture that BBQ should have. The meat had quite a bit of elastin but honestly that could have been simply the batch we got. To be fair, I was born and raised in Brazil so I grew up with weekly BBQs. So I might be a little harsh in my review. Overall it is a nice restaurant, just missing that authenthicity you look for in a Brazilian steakhouse.

I went on Saturday, June 9, the second day after they opened. There were 14 different cuts, excellent quality just like I have had at other Brazilian Steakhouses in the past. The food was excellent. The staff were all excellent. It was valentine's day though and you could tell that the management under staffed for the night. All the servers were awesome, but they were clearly run off their feet. There was a few periods where they all (there only seemed to be three who served the meat, two waitresses for drinks and one bartender) ended up off the floor for anywhere from 5 to 15 min. Not the staff's fault, management should have staffed better. We were there for about two hours and while we ate well the chicken drumsticks never made it to our table (or it seemed anyone else's) until we were ready to leave. I hope that in ther future the managers staff the floor staff better so that they can get to the same level of constant food service as other places like this one.

Had lunch here last week, was very impressed. Cuts of meat were very well seasoned and cooked, one cut was a little tough but you get that everywhere. Salad bar was great- it had everything one would want. Lunch buffet was obviously limited but great for value. The owner took the time to stop by and see how things were- very impressed. They did go the extra mile to accommodate requests. Would go back for dinner for sure!

It was my wife and i's first time at Fumaca, i must say i was really happy about it. We went at about 530pm. All the meats were delicious. The lamb was a little bit on the sweeter side which i wasnt the biggest fan of but still okay. The hot n cold salad bar was a little small but really who goes there for that. The truffle mac n cheese was delicious. The cuts of meat were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Honestly in my opinion way better than pampa.

The salad bar isn't as extensive as Pampas, but I think the meat is a lot better in my opinion. And you go to a Brazilian BBQ for the meat am I right or am I right!? The chicken legs were juicy and the skin was deliciously crispy! Really good! The meat was all very tender and rare! But honestly the star of the show was the grilled abacaxi! (Pineapple) Sooooooo good! I'd go back a hundred times and just eat that!

Made a reservation here for 8pm on valentines day. We drove a long way and when we got there the host said they had overbooked and weren't able to seat us, even though there were empty tables. We were upset they couldn't have atleast CALLED us to let us know, as at that point it would be too late to make other dinner plans. We asked to speak to a manager, and he wouldn't even take the time to come talk to us... Which was the worst part. Perhaps a course in hospitality would be beneficial for him, as he should have taken 20 seconds out of his evening to acknowledge our presence and potentially work with us to find a way to make it up for next time. It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had while visiting a restaurant. I look forward to supporting different restaurants but situations like this deter me, I'm going to stick with pampas.

When we arrived we were seated right a way we were a party of 6. the waitress was pleasant and very under standing of our requests.My husband hates meat that is under cooked and so does my one of my daughters so they were great with that better than we have ever experienced. the servers were great I asked for pork that was better cooked and totally forgot about it. and a few minutes he brought me out 2 peices wow. all our requests were met the salad bar and sides were fantastic. 6 of us went there on New Years Eve and they ended up charging us gratuity at 20%. They put it in as a table of 8 so it automatically added the gratuity. When we told the server we are only 6 people, she said it wouldn’t make a difference. We paid $100/person to have dinner and sprite.

Well we decided to try a new place for our wedding anniversary tonight.... The reviews on this establishment seemed good, however this must have been pre-covid. First off you enter to find a grossly carpeted dining room, next my wife goes to the bath room and says it's pretty dirty, I was like... " It's ok the food is apparently really good. We started with the Rice, feijoada, and a salad. The rice was probably sitting in the pot for hours, it was mush and unsalted. The feijoada was black beans and pork boiled in plain water for 1 hour, they obviously don't know what salt and pepper are. This place would be the prime example of what not to do when you can't cut table side due to the new covid restrictions. Do not place a bunch of meat on two separate cold plates. By the time we got to most of it, it was cold, and once again it lacked salt. My wife got the chimichurri and it was 3/4 cup of vinegar and herbs. The chef seemed to actually be the owner and was wearing dress pants and a dress shirt and was in and out of the kitchen. The kitchen staff came out to bring meat to the table and his uniform was very dirty and apron looked like it hadn't been washed in days. As for Covid regulations they were none existent. There was no signage, nor any explanation on steps to commit to safety. Out of the 5 staff members working only one didn't touch his mask, the server would go to the bar, pull her mask down, rub her nose or face and touch the POS system, then make your drinks. The chef and food runner as soon as they were in the kitchen the masks were pulled down and food was prepped. The cherry on top was when the chef came out and bused the table with the same gloves as in the kitchen, then removed his gloves, adjusted his beard and put new gloves on. My wife has worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and I'm happy she wasn't looking at the open window kitchen. Ive decided to do two stars simply because of the wine selection and the quality of the cuts of the rump steak. Absolutely do not recommend, for the price you definitely are better off paying the extra for the main competitor, whom is doing great things during Covid.

Amazing food and such awesome service!! So much variety to choose from with the hot and cold salad bars plus the unlimited meat served directly at the table. Was SO delicious. You have to try the pineapple--yum. Definitely recommend and will certainly be back. Just tried the other brazilian steak house Pampa. Fumaca is far superior in regards to taste, choices, and service! If you have a choice, pick Fumaca hands down. You won't be disappointed!

Had an amazing dinning experience here tonight. I was really impressed with the each cut of meat. But more importantly, the service. My server ( Julia?) was awesome. I think our whole table would agree on that. The food was on point and came out very quickly. The gaucho(sp?) took his time and really worked well with our table. Great overall experience. Our server was good. We found a hair in the sauce. The restaurant didn't seem too repulsed nor attempt to make up for it. It was my friends birthday, which most places offer complimentary dessert. Alas, these folks did not, but whatever I suppose. The salads were good but nothing majorly exciting. The meats were all mildly seasoned but in abundance. Wish they had Pao de Quiejo (Brazilian cheese bread puffs). Overall, a sufficient yet underwhelming dinner with not much excitement.

Unbelievably small portions for the price. Steak was uncooked, brown and tasted rotten on one side of it - I hope I don't get sick. Unfortunately the reason I didn't notice it was uncooked was due to how brown it was. Totally slimy and disgusting.

Made Valentines reservations for my GF and I. Got there a bit early and no parking. When we finally made our way inside it was pandemonium. Completely over booked. We were turned away. Though I fully understand that this was infact happening at many other restaurants around Edmonton, it was still a kick in the chops. Kudos to the gentleman who very politely and professionally informed us of the situation (I'm a pretty big guy with a resting facial expression described as irritated at best) and must have been run ragged by the volume of customers both seated and being turned away as well. Hopefully someday I will get to experience the actual food and service.

Great service as always. Best steakhouse in town. We really loved their rump steak , bacon chicken, sausage but grilled pineapple was the best. All the staff were really polite to accommodate our all the requests. Everything was just perfect. Thank you guys for making our evening amazing.

Aside from the pineapple, the meat was tough. Dry, salted meat coated our plates again and again followed by the bacon wrapped chicken without fail. No, thank you. Maybe don't try the sausage because ours was not the best too. Service was excellent, as expected of a Brazilian steakhouse. Very very limited parking as it shares parking with an apartment building. With work on the salty and overcooked meat and the incredibly strange $4.00 soft drinks this place could get a much higher rating. I hope to see the improvements in the future so that I can give this restaurant a better rating.

The atmosphere and the wait staff were amazing. I only had the salad bar, but for $30 it was just okay. Nothing that great, through they did have a decent selection. It looked like a great selection of meats were brought to the table and often. My husband raved about the lamb and pineapple. It is a little expensive for us, but if you get the full meal, it seems definitely worth it. It was a nice treat.

I went to Fumaca on July 8th. Great wine selection and very tasty steak with a lot of variety. I loved the fact they have cinnamon pineapple. I go often to other Brazilian steak house in Edmonton and have to say that I liked this one better. The cheese bread is awesome! The only suggestion I would have for them would be to improve their salad bar adding some more items.

I like this place. The service and atmosphere did not feel pretentious. The salad and entree bar had many things to choose from - which appeared stocked up and moderately fresh. My favourite was the truffle mac & cheese, my god. Their dinner menu apparently has 15+ grilled meats to choose from. I'm not entirely sure if they actually served that amount because it seemed like they offered the same 5-6 meats. With that being said, I might only come back for brunch. Oh...and the grilled pineapple ???????????? Absolutely delicious.

Absolute disaster of a Valentine’s Day dinner. Waited over 2 hours for food and once we did get food it was cold and had only received half of the items we asked for, we didn’t even get the included dessert. We were at the restaurant for over 3 hours when we finally had enough and got the bill. Then they had the audacity to try and make us pay full price, imagine paying $150 for dinner and leaving the restaurant hungry. Will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

If I could give a zero star I would. We witnessed a server giving a customer a container to pack food. When we were finished eating we asked for a container from the same server said that they do not allow food packing. We communicated to the server that the service should the same. The manage come out and told us that, “WE MUST FOCUS ON OUR OWN TABLE.” And said that table paid more, we offered to pay more and they said no. Meanwhile another waiter come out “Karen”, she through receipts at use she went on to shout at our whole group and even swore at us. She wasn’t involved in the conversation at all. This was my FIRST TIME TO BE SHOUTED AT BY A WAITER. It very disrespectful!
