Cecilia (think that was her name) was THE most professional, kind, and helpful server I have ever come across. She explained the wine menu, checked in on us, made the whole dining experience phenomenal! She also made great recommendations for menu items. The food was great! The calamari was so good, along with the arancino, bolognese pasta and the affogato had a rich, dreamy espresso along with a very tasty whiskey cream Gelato. We will be back!

Great restaurant downtown, amazing designed space with attentative and knowledgeable staff. Owners are great, friendly and very personable. Great for larger groups with a spectacular wine list and very affordable. Great classic dishes with some modern twists and getting better each time I visit! Recommend and spend some time on the patio in summer with a prosecco in hand.

Spectacular meal! Delicious appetizers included perfectly, lightly fried calamari with n amazing sauce, burschetta and shrimp Squid ink linguine with seafood was the Best I've ever had. Light, non greasy pasta with a subtle lemon cream sauce and ample scallops, shrimp and mussels. Seriously wonderful. Darcy was an attentive server with polish who knew his wines. Wonderful experience!

Walked in this morning for a take out order. The manager/owner was present and quickly made sure I was taken care of right away. The gentleman who took my order was great with checking in with the kitchen on some special requests. When I picked up my order was offered a water during my short wait. The food was exceptional. My guests were impressed by the quality, portion sizes and taste. Will be using Bianco more regularly for the excellent service! Good Job!

I booked last minute for a big group for Friday lunch. The staff there are so helpful and friendly, despite they already had multiple groups booked for lunch that day. Our food came out perfect, and the timing was perfect. We all had a wonderful time. Calvin was especially helpful and patient with me. Thank you!

We ate here for a family event and were so impressed. They welcomed a large group of us for dinner with very short notice and our server Mike was exceptional throughout the evening. Quality is equivalent to Rosso; the homemade pasta noodles were all delicious. Great vibe and a beautiful space, classy and chic without being pretentious. Bianco, thanks for making our evening so lovely and memorable. We felt so at home here- we will definitely be back soon.

By far the best Italian restaurant in Edmonton! There wasn’t one thing I did not like about this place. The food, the service and the ambiance was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend checking it out, definitely my new go to spot in Edmonton.

Had an absolutely amazing time at this restaurant few nights ago! Went in to celebrate a friends birthday and our server John went above and beyond to make sure our time spent was super enjoyable. The food and drink selection at this establishment deserves a five star rating easily, as well as how great the servers are trained! Will be visiting this spot more often for meetings and more dinners in the future. Thanks John for making my experience such a memorable one!

The first time I ordered from Bianco, I went for the pasta and it was fine. I think their speciality lies with their pizza, though. I’ve ordered pizza for pickup several times and it’s always delicious. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and inviting and it has a stellar patio setup. Can’t wait till COVID is over so I can visit in person.

Three of us are here not too long ago. The service was good, ambience, music drinks, all good, the food was a severe let down. We shared the antipasti, the fruit on it was over ripe and soggy, the meats were standard faire and the cheeses were all similarly textured white cheeses that were never described. The condiments, olives, pickles and bread were all nice but the bread was sparse. I went with a wild mushroom risotto that featured no wild mushrooms, just a mound of rubbery crimini mushrooms that had clearly been given no attention. The risotto was dry, pilled upward and lacked the creamy richness that makes risotto such a comforting dish. This plate was offensive. The other dishes, the filet and the rigatoni, were just okay. The steak had a fibrous mound of yams, a decently cooked steak, an overly thin demi that did not have the sticky glossy richness it should and some dated veggies and a whole stick of rosemary bursting out of the 90s, billowing from the yams. The spicy tomato sauce on the rigatoni was very spicy, good or bad that depends on the person, the pasta quality was fine and the sauce was alright. Bianco looks like it is trying to stand with local greats, Cibo Bistro, Corso 32... But instead it matched with dining at the sicilian pasta kitchen, or Chianti.

Popped in for pickup Downtown Dining Week. Almost got a parking ticket but the overzealous attendant let me slide for my 5 min pick up stop. Had their special 3 course dinner menu with the chicken. Amazing! 1 order could have fed both my wife and I. Thanks Bianco, we will be back!

Modern and relevant decor, with a good range on the menu which my table of 5 sampled from. We got a couple of appetizers, pizza, and pastas. Though not the best, the food was good. What was truly lacking was the service. We went on a Monday night and there were several servers on. Our table allowed us a view of the kitchen and I saw many of our dishes sit under the warmer for a little too long while servers and staff tended to other tasks - polishing cutlery and chatting. Our designated server was nowhere to be seen. With some work, Bianco could be a great addition to the central food scene.

If you like Rosso- or Italian cuisine for that matter- you will love this new sister restaurant, Bianco! Bianco is similar to Rosso, but expands its menu and image to be broader and more versatile. Bianco has added larger entree items and a plethora of drink options, but maintains the same local charm with locally sourced and/or organic ingredients. I ordered Spaghetti Pomodoro e Ricotta, Amore per la Carne pizza, a latte, and a chocolate croissant. The house made pasta noodles were cooked perfectly and had good mouth feel, covered by flavourful, tangy sauce. The pizza is the same great style and quality as that of Rosso, which happens to be my favourite pizza in the city! Most of the pizzas are the same, but there are few differences that you won't find at Rosso, such as the Amore per la Carne, and vice versa. Finally, the latte and pastry were decent, but I believe that if you're going to do dessert here, you are absolutely best off with the gelato. Our server Eshwa(?) was incredible- full of knowledge, recommendations, and all around hospitality. All in all, Bianco is a great new addition to the area, and I look forward to spending summer lunches on their soon to be completed patio.

Incredible and stunning atmosphere at the new Bianco restaurant. All fresh Italian Cuisine and service was excellent. The only reason for my 4 stars is that from the name on the order, I googled it and looks yummy than what I was served. Next time I am here, I will get the Panini dish instead. Clean washrooms too.

Things at this restaurant that have changed my life: -Olive Calde -Dolce Emma pizza -Tortelloni Burro e Salvia (this is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, sage butter sauce is my love language) -Panna Cotta And the negroni & spritz list is bomb. Highly recommend this place.

Good Italian cuisine. Get the authentic experience at a little higher price. Small venue, really busy at peak time, and service was slow. They were sending people away even thou it wasn’t full. So make sure to have a reservation before hand. But again the food outweighs the service in this instance.

I went to this place because I got a gift certificate given to me. I not a huge Italian food guy. I felt that pasta was played out. We booked a reservation for 2. I was seated near the door. After the first blast of cold air I made a request to be move and was accomdated immediately. I ordered the pollo parmigiana with Carpaccio Di Manzo as our antipasti while my partner ordered the Gnocchi di Patate Dolci. These were both 10/10 dishes. Everything was fresh, great tempurture and left a good taste in the back of your month. The service was great. The music low-key making the vibe trendy. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. As I said before I am not a pasta guy but I will be going back here and I recommend anyone else looking for a 10/10 dish for a absolutely great price point Bianco is the spot to hit up. I was truly shocked how good this food was and Italian restaurants have leveled back up in my books.

Came here for my birthday dinner last night.. the staff didn't even acknowledge it was my birthday even though we made a reservation that it WAS for my birthday.. turned out to be a disappointment. Service wasn't very good either, took awhile to start off with a glass of water.. just was NOT a great experience. Pizza was good but when we got our pasta dish it wasn't very good. The pasta wasn't as great as we thought it tasted just like plain tomato paste, we were going to complain but the waitress took awhile to come back so we just ate some of it. Was looking forward to eating here for my birthday but turned out to be a disappointing experience. Wouldn't come here again.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience here. We were supposed to get married June 8th but with the pandemic that wasn’t possible so we were able to have a night out on the town and dinner here at Bianco. There was an older gentleman with salt and pepper hair and glasses who came to our table after our meal and expressed how happy he was that we braved the night out with what was going on(with COVID). We expressed that it was supposed to be our wedding day and he showed His genuine feelings. When we got our bill we noticed that the restaurant gave us $10 off of our desert which was a very nice gesture and we appreciated that so much. The service here was great. We picked a busy evening so at times it was slow but that’s totally understandable. Everyone was very friendly and the food... OH MY GOSH! Amazing! It felt light but filling and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a place with very friendly, great service and really yummy Italian food.. you MUST eat here! Thank you again to all staff for a wonderful evening.???? PS: We will most definitely be coming back again!

Went for my birthday dinner November 12 2019. Mediocore food, everything needed salt and pepper. When we ordered appetizers the lady informed us that they were out of the item we wanted and if we wanted to get something else. We said no, then she magically appeared with the appetizer. Pizza came raw and with no sauce. Basically took the pizza home and recooked with with sauce. TERRIBLE service. Slow night 6 tables including ours, the rest were tables of 2 with 2 servers. She was on the iPad more than actually servicing us. Drinks sat at the bar for 10 minutes, asked for napkins, 15 minutes later asked her for napkins her response was "I'm working on it" We had to stand up for her to realize that we were ready for the bill. Then took another 5 minutes to bring the debit machine. Terrible birthday dinner.

We had dinner at Bianco this last Friday night and it was a varied experience. To begin, the space is gorgeous and the patio is lovely. The menu is tasty and thoughtful and the wine list is amazing. Like, totally perfect. Everything was amazing but I must admit, the service was very poor. The server was a young man, short brown hair and glasses. He was very disconnected, forgot numerous things, did not even give us utensils and spilled the wine when pouring it. I even had to ask him to clean up the wine he spilled, he was not going to do it... Overall, the experience would have been a 10/10 but the service needs lots of work

We might call this "Rosso north", seeing as it's mostly the same menu as the trendy eatery near the UAlberta campus, with the addition of pastas and some new desserts. But the marble and industrial design theme, the floor to ceiling glass wall looking out on Rice Howard Way, and the south facing patio give Bianco a more European feel. It is definitely the classiest place to eat, in that densely populated collection of restaurants. Our pizza and pasta dishes were tasty, the dessert delicious, the wine and beer selection interesting. Service was highly competent. Major drawbacks: zero bike parking (!!) and the hard-surface-replete interior decor means it's noisy, and difficult to have intimate conversations. Bianco might counter the latter by adopting the European fashion of laying places at tables for two at 90° rather than at 180°. Their proximity to the major bicycling routes through downtown means they must establish bike parking, as they have done at Rosso.

Great food but sad to see that ownership of the restaurant does not take social distancing serious. During our dinner the table of 6 people sat directly next to us kept sitting directly next to my wife without wearing a mask to take group photos. the party of 6 was also going to 2 other tables to talk to the members without masks. In addition to the guests not wearing masks while interacting with other guests, staff members were also taking off their masks while speaking and mingling with patrons. sad and unfortunate to see these events unfold in times like this.

Service and atmosphere are really nice! I saw carbonara on the menu and immediately gravitated to it but I’ll be honest, it wasn’t good, but it also wasn’t really carbonara. Very bland and quite dry. It looked and tasted like they used deli ham as opposed to pancetta or guanciale. I don’t think there was any egg yolk in the pasta either based on how dry the sauce was. I’ll never understand why restaurants put famous dishes on the menu and then alter them beyond the point of recognition. I still had a great time and I would definitely come back to try something else, but I don’t think I would get pasta here again.

A great place to put on some nice clothes and be posh. I went with regulars which might of altered the experience if I was new and alone, but that was not the case. The staff seemed very friendly. We ordered some drinks, a bottle of wine, and some appetizers. We ordered mussels, meatballs, shrimp, and a pizza. The meatballs and shrimp were amazing!! Probably some of the best meatballs I have ever had. The pizza was also good. Nice patio right downtown. Pricey, but worth it if you want a nice time out.

Honestly, not worth it. I love a good, simple Margherita pizza and this was not it. Undercooked crust, barely any browning (and zero char). The crust was also somehow too doughy and very tough at the same time. Overpowering bites of parmesan as if it wasnt grated but chopped into big chunks. So much sauce in the middle and none on the edges. Very oily - you can taste a nice fruity olive oil was drizzled on top, but with the amount of fat already present it was too much. If I'd paid $5 for the pizza I still would have been a bit disappointed. It is worth noting I got the pizza to go (I work a block away) - this is only based on the pizza itself and not the ambience or service.

Love this restaurant! Came here on a busy Friday and our server Dustin was amazing!!! He was super attentive and did a great job with my daughters allergies as well as making a great wine suggestion to go with our meal. We shared a risotto dish and two pizzas along with the caprese salad to start, all authentic and delicious! We will definitely be putting this into our rotation of restaurants and will be back soon. SALT. Food is obviously the main attraction for a restaurant so it's disappointing that the lack of salt could have catapulted their food to 5 star level. The appetizers were delicious, highly recommend that bruschetta and carpaccio, even though they needed salt. I had the steak salad, the steak was a bit cold and unseasoned and they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. I added avocado and tomato to it otherwise it would have been a plain salad. Friends had the pasta, if you don't like it al dente you should let them know. I tried a bit of the pasta and it definitely needed salt, it was lacking in flavor. Highlight: CALAMARI was out of this world. Perfect flavor, cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. The atmosphere is definitely a sexy date night vibe which was nice. Our server was nice, very friendly. Alex or Lexy, I'm not 100% sure what their name was. The service was a bit slow but I get that places aren't up to full staff yet so it didn't bother me. I'd recommend going there for appetizers for sure

Came in a group on friday with a reservation at 830pm and the waiter (male, long blonde hair) did not come up to us until an hour of waiting. When we finally ordered and got our food, we noticed one of my friends did not get their food. Only after 45 min later when he checked up that we had to ask why my friend did not get his food and the waiter said that everything was ordered at the same time and walked away. A few minutes later, the waiter came back and said that the reason my friends food was not there was because he forgot to tell us that they ran out of raviolis and if they could substitute for a different pasta. Finally, my friend got his food and overall the food was good but the service is terrible.

I've been to Bianco three times now and it is easily one of my favourite Italian restaurants in the city! Starting with the atmosphere, the entire restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. They did an amazing job with the interior. They have a lovely patio that opens completely, so it's a nice balance between inside and out (depending on where you sit). The staff is spot on as well, the owner Joe is so personable. I was served by Jono in my most recent visit and he was great! Good job Jono! Lastly, the most important-the food! Stunning, delicious, made with love! Thank you Bianco!

My friend and I got the antipasti for 2, and I got the seafood linguine with a glass of white wine. The antipasti platter was very large and had a variety of flavors: meats, cheeses, bread, jams, fruit, pickled veggies, and olives. All the flavors played well together, and it was fun mixing and matching them. The linguine was well coated with an emulsified sauce of olive oil, herbs, seafood, and garlic. It was flavorful and fulfilling, and was not overwhelmingly oily. My pasta had 3 large shrimp, and they were firm and meaty in the best possible way. Our server was very polite, and took care of us well. We paid about $95 in total, and I left feeling like it was a fair price for a great meal.

I went here with my best friend last night and felt like I HAD to share how good our experience was. Starting with the booking process, the platform we used to make a reservation was fast & easy to use. 3 hours prior to our reservation, the hostess gave us a call to confirm it & kindly informed us of the early last call due to coronavirus (WHICH IS SO USEFUL - WE WENT TO CACTUS A WEEK AGO AND DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE EARLY LAST CALL TIMES AND ENDED UP NOT BEING ABLE TO DRINK & HAVING TO RUSH OUR ORDER WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF GETTING THERE - EVEN THOUGH WE MADE A RESERVATION) Our server, Jon, was amazing. He was fast to approach us, not too intrusive yet always there when we needed him! Our water glasses were always full & our orders got to our table quickly - even though the restaurant was really busy. Jon even suggested a drink to my friend - and we ended up getting like 3 more!!! The food - SIMPLY AMAZING. I've been to many restaurants & this one tops ALL (and I am not exaggerating). Lastly, what topped our experience was that one of the employees - I believe it was the hostess - RAN after us to give me my mask that I forgot. I though that was going ABOVE & BEYOND - especially because lowkey it was my favourite mask. 10/10! But actions speak louder than words, so go in and check out for yourself! ;)

Unfortunately it was a letdown for us. Dishes are not served as they are described on the menu. The salad that was supposed to have beets was served without beets. A salad that was requested without cheese was served with cheese and had little dressing. The cake that was supposed to have brown buttercream was served without buttercream and the cake was dry. We often found ourselves waiting for dishes to be fixed (if they were able to) so we could all eat our meals together.

Came here for date night, atmosphere and design was stunning! Had mussels to start, large portion but could of used something more, ordered the beets salad which was over powered by the taste of olive oil, had the ravioli to share which was under cooked. It was lacking salt. Ravioli would of been amazinging with salt and more time cooked. Our sever was great and the drinks were delicious, we do want to give it another chance.

Went with a large group and had an enjoyable time, at a relaxed pace. The space was lively, but not crowded. Menu was just extensive enough to make it hard to decide what to have, and everything we tried was very good - flavorful and well presented. Service was excellent too,which isn't always the case with larger groups.

The food was excellent. Party of 4 with a kid and the service was top notch. The antipasto for 2 was amazing and enough for 3. I would suggest 12 pieces of bruschetta come with it in a separate bowl. The pizza was also very good and the crust doubled as bread for the antipasto.

Had a lovely experience at Bianco. Great space and location. Excellent service by Madison. Fabulous food. The arancini was delicious. Strawberry Negroni potent. Chicken pasta dish was wonderful - my wife said it was the best pasta in her life, and I really enjoyed my beef brisket with polenta and vegetables meal.

The cocktails are phenomenal, my favourite being the Negroni’s. There food was kind of disappointing as I asked for a medium rare steak with my beet salad and it came well done. The sweet potato gnocchi was great and would order that one again. Our server was great at the beginning but felt like he never came over once we received our food and lost out as we we’re going to have another cocktail. Overall, it was good experience and the atmosphere is great but there were just a few missings for me.

I booked a reservation for Saturday night for a belated birthday dinner. Got seated right away, great atmosphere although the music is a little loud upon entry and I found myself almost having to shout during the conversation (which seems counterintuitive for the COVID situation to me). Drinks were strong, the Ricotta appetizer was delicious!!! Ordered two pastas, they were out of my choice of the Ravioli so I had to settle for my second choice which I ultimately didn't enjoy as much as I think I would have the other one. Looking at the dessert menu, I decided on the Chocolate cake and they were out of that too, so that was a little underwhelming and disappointing. I was surprised that on a Saturday night they wouldn't have two decently popular dishes, especially for dinner at 7:30, a normal dinner time. Other than that, the service was great, efficient, and the prices were reasonable for what we got.

Although the customer service, appetizers, drinks, and ambiance of Bianco are exemplary, the pasta dishes left us wanting. The pasta itself was bland and could have used much more salt in the water bath. The flavor profiles of all three of the dishes we ordered were too simple and the one and only flavor to each dish was overdone. The Ravioli di Ricotta e Pera had one taste: sweet. It left the taster wanting for more depth to the plate. The dish also promised sauteed pear but this was unfortunately not included. The Casarecce con Pollo e Funghi included so much truffle oil that we couldn't even taste the mushrooms in the dish. If you are wanting a few appetizers and drinks, Bianco is the place to go; however, the pasta dishes will leave you wanting for more complex and better balanced flavor profiles.

We enjoyed the handmade pastas and will be back to give them another try but the service was really bad: We had to wait more than half an hour to get our bottle of wine.. and then another half an hour to get our food. After that, they never came for our bill... The server said he forgot and was still joking around as if he was helping us out by letting us pay our bill at the end... Oh I forgot they also locked the patio door without realizing there were customers sitting outside. I can totally understand being shortstaffed and I didn't say anything to the server (as it was obvious) but this is just awful customer service when the waiter is inattentive, late, not aware of it and then says "oops haha!".

We visited tonight for my little brother's graduation and everything was lovely. The service was wonderful and we all enjoyed our meals. The arancini were really delicious, and the portions for the entrées were more than generous. Desserts were really tasty (ricotta cheesecake) and even the espresso was nicely done. My only complaint is that the sweet potato gnocchi that one of us ordered was a little underwhelming—not the nicest texture—but everything else more than made up for it. I'd come back here for a nice meal for sure.

Made Saturday night reservations at Bianco to celebrate a couple of events as a family (6 top). The restaurant design and decor was great. That is about where the positives end. We were seated at the "chef's table" nearest the kitchen which at first we thought was cool. The server didn't introduce themselves and overall seemed to be indifferent to how our experience or any other table's was going. For appetizers, we had the ricotta, carpacio, arancini, and caprese salad. They were all extremely average. Not necessarily bad, but you could make better at home. Barely any flavor or seasoning there. We saw who we presumed to be the manager scold one of the employees in front of our table and it was fairly uncomfortable. We saw an appetizer siting on the kitchen's expo for literally 20 minutes (we timed it) as numerous staff walked by it without running it. Eventually they took it down and we were relieved they weren't serving it to someone. Nope, they just replaced the garnish and eventually ran it 25 minutes after it came up under the lamps. The kitchen may have been backed up or understaffed but the time between the appetizers and the entrees was roughly 45 minutes. The server came by once in that time to give us a brief update but didn't make much of an effort to explain the situation. When the pastas came they were...ok? Again, not bad but very average for the price and the wait, etc. The carbonara must have been sitting in the kitchen for a while as the sauce was not creamy but more clumpy. The spaghetti tasted like it was from the Olive Garden. The wait may have been because one person at our table ordered the lamb shank but the timing of dishes should have been better. They did offer free dessert which we politely declined because we had been there for nearly 3 hours and comped one bottle of wine which was appreciated but it felt felt fairly empty as the experience was pretty sour by that time. Perhaps having such a large/extensive menu puts strain on the kitchen and the freshness of ingredients required? TLDR: Well designed, extremely average food, poor service, and aloof employees

Came here for a birthday dinner with my husband. The atmosphere was great and the service was very friendly. As the night went on though, we felt a little crowded in the restaurant as we noticed that a lot people were seated around us even though other parts of the restaurant were empty. As a result, it was a little hard for us to hear each other when we were talking. We ordered the Cozze al pomodoro to start and my goodness- it was amazing! The mussels were sweet and succulent and the sauce was very herby, flavourful and complimented the mussels perfectly! Thankfully the dish comes with some crostini to further enjoy the sauce with. The portion of the dish was quite generous too and more than enough for the two of us but we won't complain! We then also ordered the Agnello and Campanelle Fra Diavolo for our main dishes. My lab unfortunately was slightly overcooked and dry to my taste ( it appeared to be well-done when I prefer it medium rare) but it was still quite delicious and didn't have an overly gamey taste. The yogurt sauce that came with the lamb was tangy which I enjoyed and the charred cauliflower was incredibly addicting and made me want more. My husband the enjoyed the Campanelle Fra Diavolo which had a kick to it. The shrimp was cooked perfectly but the lobster was a tad overcooked as it was a little rubbery. Still, he enjoyed the dish and kept stating that the campanelle pasta itself had a "great mouth-feel" that he couldn't get enough of. Overall, despite the slight crowdedness and few overcooked aspects of our dishes, we enjoyed our experience at Bianco and would definitely come back again to have the mussels, to try other pasta dishes made with their handmade pasta and to try out their pizza.

I had the Rigatoni all’ Arrabbiata with Italian sausage and the cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious, and I would definitely recommend it. The only downside was that the services started off really good but got worse as they got busier, so just be aware if you have somewhere to be after. We wanted to get a drink after dinner and before our show, but the waitress wasn't able to come back to take our order after she dropped off the drink menu. After about half an hour of waiting we just asked for the bill. She looked very busy, so I think they were just short-staffed.

Excellent night out! You can tell that the pasta and ingredients are fresh. The Rigatoni all’ Arrabbiata had a nice tomato sauce with sweet notes and residual heat - I would have preferred it to be a bit spicier, but that is a personal preference. The Tortelloni Burro E Salvia was very tasty and well presented. Tiramisu was nice. Ambiance is very nice, the service was great, and the wine selection is thoughtful. The only thing that seemed off to me was the Arancini Al Funghi. Though absolutely delicious (and I still recommend ordering them), it seemed odd to pair a mushroom arancini with a sweet tomato sauce. I think it would have made more sense on the palette if the sauce was a white wine cream sauce - would have really helped the mushroom flavours come through. Definitely check out Bianco for a business lunch or a nice evening out!

I would put Bianco at the very top of my restaurants to try in Edmonton! We are there at least once every two weeks and the quality and service is always outstanding. Absolutely love the intimate atmosphere and their patio. We have been so impressed by all the menu items we have tried; I highly recommend the antipasto board (favourite charcuterie in the city), the Linguine al Nere, and the Dolce Emma!

I went to Bianco for my birthday. From making reservations to our server, the service was great. When I made the reservations, Joe (co-owner) confirmed with me if its still okay that my party would be separated since they can only put 10 in each table & they had 3 other groups coming in that evening. If this was other restaurants they wouldn’t tell their customers this. So I really appreciate that. But I do wish the tables were a little bit closer. The food was amazing, all my friends were happy with that they ordered & some said, the food is not typically what you’d find in other Italian restaurants. I would highly recommend people to come to Bianco.

Really enjoyed the arancini. The ravioli was decent. Would have been nice with some veggies on the side, as the plate looked bare. The desert was okay but that's probably my fault for taking it to go! A $60 bill for one person didn't leave me particularly impressed so not sure I would go back without some incentive. Note that normally the ravioli is served with walnuts but I requested almonds instead.

They have a nice selection of cocktails and the ricotta app was amazing. We also ordered one pasta dish (Campanelle fra diavolo) and the chicken Parm. Pasta was meh, not sure it was worth the price. The chicken Parm was a bit of a different take on the dish (don't expect the traditional style), was also meh. Server was nice but it took a really long time for the mains to come out. I would come back for drinks and appetizers but would probably skip a main course.

Our first time at Bianco. Our waitress was wonderful. I didn't get her name. Food was fast and delicious. Drinks were tasty. They have a huge selection but we don't drink much so just had caesers. They were one of the best we had! We had the Bruschetta, then for main had the Spaghetti and Meatballs and then the pasta in cream sauce with Lobster and prawns. Oh it was goooood! So much food we had to take some home. The atmosphere was louder. So if you want a quiet place this isn't it but you won't be disappointed. Also had the cheesecake for dessert. We would like more sauce but otherwise tasty. Thank you for a lovely night

Fantastic, warm, intimate place to go for a bite. Casual or formal is welcome. We had the steak (8oz) and I had a risotto dish with added tomatoes. The music was a little too loud for my liking, and I would have liked more beet juice surrounding the risotto than the drops offered. The steak was terrific, even though there was significant fat that was tough to chew through. The gravy was divine! Would absolutely love to go back; so many fantastic menu items to try!

Interior design and decor: beautiful. Clean. Made reservation for 18 people two weeks in advance. Seemed like they gave us a new server for 18 guests, he didn't know half the stuff on the menu. Service was slow, server did a decent solo job accommodating the 15 guests that ended up coming. we were seated at 7:30pm but didn't get our mains until after 10:00pm. Reservations was for a birthday on new years eve, maybe shut the restaurant down if you can't handle it, instead of charging a large group mandatory 18% gratuity for incredibly slow service and poorly executed food. Appetizers were good. Some were mediocre some were actually really nice. Blue cheese sauce for the mussels was nice; not too pungent and very flavorful. Beet salad was awesome. Nothing else was very memorable. Everyone's main dishes were a nightmare. Sent back the carbonara the first time due to dish coming out cold. Came back the second time warm, undercooked, unseasoned, zero sauce. Lamb shanks overcooked. Risotto undercooked. Bolognese underwhelming. Most of the dishes were severely under seasoned. Sweet potato gnoochi undercooked and chewy. Tons of complaints from other guests - too much to list. Pizza was good. Ordered 4 pizzas to share. They came out hot with the cheese melted, yay. Owner was nice enough to remove 4 items off the menu. Bought us a round of shots... We were ordering rounds of tequila all night but he decided to buy us all lemon drop shooters instead. Even the lemon drops were poorly executed, ratio tasted like 99% lemon juice and 1% isopropyl. Not sure if it was because it was new years eve, or because we had a large group, but very disappointed. Had higher expectations for a special night.

We came here on new year's for a late dinner with friends. The restaurant was pretty busy overall. We were greeted at the front door by staff and were hurried to shut the doors behind us due to the cold. We were seated close to the doors which is VERY cold so if you do come here on a winter day request to be seated away from the doors, a heater blowing cold air out would be very useful for this front door as well. We ordered cocktails, appetizers and main entrees. Two of the four of us ordered pizza which was slightly disappointing but the two of us who ordered pasta dishes were very happy. The overall service to our table was extremely slow we constantly had to ask our server to fill up our water and waited quite a long time to order and receive our cocktails (we were told the bar was slow and already celebrating new year's). I would come back here not on a busy night and make sure you're seated away from the front door!

Wide range of really nice wines! I tried the rigatoni arrabbiata with Italian sausage - huge portion, nice chewy texture to the pasta, perfect amount of heat in the sauce. Service was okay, it took a bit of time for anyone to notice us and the servers were hard to flag down after the fact.

Been here a few times and the food is fantastic. Their charcuterie board is the best I've had - so yummy. Last night though, the service was awful. Extremely slow (and they weren't busy). It took about fifteen minutes before we were even asked for drinks, then another fifteen to get our wine. Asked to share a pasta and weren't given separate plates. I had to chase someone down for them after our pasta sat there for fifteen minutes getting cold because nobody had bothered to check, or even notice that we did not have any plates! Edit - I did call Joe who was very apologetic and appreciative of my review. He made sure to let me know to ask for him next time I'm in so that he can make it up to us. Really appreciated the gesture and the sincere apology and will continue to visit Bianco!

Tried this new spot recently with my girlfriend and another couple and the food did not disappoint. All four of our meals were excellent. The pizza we had as an appetizer was amazing followed exquisite hand made pasta, to which you could taste the difference in quality. Would definitely recommend.

I took my brother and another friend to Bianco to celebrate their birthdays on a Tuesday night - just the 3 of us. I had been there once before but a new experience for the other 2. Restaurant wasn't busy at all. Maybe 5 other tables when we arrived so perhaps service could have been a little better. Seems like everyone is just starting to remember how to serve after a long lockdown again. My brother enjoyed the old fashioned. Food was presented nicely and was reasonably good. My gnocchi was overcooked though so disappointed there. Don't know if I'm sold enough to give it a third try. TBD

The bruschetta appetizer was also amazing. It was my sisters birthday and she was treated with a complimentary scoop of gelato!

This chic Italian restaurant is simultaneously moody and lively with it’s dimly lit ambiance and buzzing atmosphere. However, as much as I really enjoy a bumpin restaurant, I just found that Bianco was extraordinarily loud! I’m not sure if it’s due to the layout of the restaurant, or the music, or just how busy it was. All I know is that I felt like I had to yell in order to speak to my friend across the table. In regards to service, honestly, it could have been better. I understand they were a bit busy, but I just felt like our server wasn’t really present. Our food also took a while to come out, and the table maintenance was not frequent. In regards to food, let me start by saying that, this restaurant had got appetizers in the bag! They have so many amazing options, but we ended up starting with the Bruschetta Caprese and the Gamberoni! The Bruschetta was undoubtably good, but the GAMBERONI? SUPERB! That was some of the best tasting shrimp I’ve ever had, and the white wine sauce was amazing. I literally soaked each piece of bread in it! For my entree, y’all know I had to try the Gnocchi di Patate Dolci and its safe to say I was pretty pleased. I decided to get the menu recommendation of smoked Pancetta and also a half chicken breast. Thank God I added on that chicken because the pancetta portion was actually NOT worth the price paid, I barley noticed it in the dish. Additionally, the dish was kind of small, but Gnoochi is a time consuming dish to prepare, so I understand. The actually pasta and sauce was delicious though! My friend ordered the Linguine al Nere, and she said it was great and a good bang for your buck as it’s truly packed with seafood goodness!

Tucked away in plain sight in the core of downtown, tried this place as a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere was top tier, good music, good vibes, and there was “hustle and bustle”. Definitely will plan to have future get togethers here purely based on that alone- however, the food was equally amazing! I got Linguine al Nere, and it was 10/10, very dynamic dish that hit the spot for a pasta craving. Looking forward to exploring the rest of their menu. Customer service was prompt and friendly. Overall, would highly recommend whether you’re going out by yourself, a date, or a get together ????

3.75 out of 5. Ambiance is great. Very romantic and warm. Design is lovely. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. They let me and my friend stay quite late and we ended up being the last customers there. They didn't rush us or ask us to leave which was very kind of them. The downside to our experience was the temperature of the food. We had ordered a pizza (prosciutto) and a pasta (pollo e funghi) dish and both were, unfortunately, quite cold, especially the pasta. Flavor wise it was good but both dishes were just so cold. I assume the food had been sitting on the counter for a while which caused the cheese on the pizza to harden and lose that stringy texture when it's fresh out of the oven and the tomato sauce had made the thin crust quite soggy. The chicken in the pasta was cooked well. Very tender and not dry at all. After reading some previous reviews, it seems this is a repeating problem. The kitchen needs to time the dishes better. The tiramisu was only ok. A bit lumpy in texture and soggy. That being said I am willing to give Bianco another shot as I really enjoy their sister restaurant Rosso Pizzeria.

Atmosphere is fantastic, appies were enjoyable and drinks were good too! But damn, the food .....they need better cooks. We had a table of 6 and not one of us enjoyed our meal. Portion size is good but the tastes were so unimpressive. Complaints were overly salty, undercooked, lack of flavour (bland tastes). My husband and brother went a second time and had the pizza (no one had this the first time). They wouldn’t go back. Its too bad because they have the formula of a great place, except for the one thing that matters most. My opinion is train your cooks better or replace them. Good management needs to recognize this is going to be a problem in the long term.

Had dinner here Saturday night and the restaurant was packed! Nevertheless, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the servers were the friendliest! Shoutout to Alex, our pink haired Barista and her excellent post-dinner latte. Prices were extremely reasonable, definitely a nice new Italian hot spot in Edmonton!

The atmosphere in Bianco is quite appealing. The meals are named in Italian, but the components of each meal is in English. The servers are always ready to answer any questions you have regarding the menu. Wait time for our meal was a quite long, but it was worth the wait. We’d definitely be coming back:)

I went here when it was newly opened, around September. The food was amazing but the management was terrible. We made a reservation and they didn’t clear our table fast enough so we waited 20 minutes and watched them wait for the people to leave and make arrangements. As a group of six, one persons entree came in 30 minutes, and she ate by herself. The rest of our pastas took almost 2 hours. We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours. How is this okay?! All we got was free glasses of prosecco for our reservation delay.

Bianco has absolutely amazing service and the best Italian food I've ever eaten. I've been many times and every single time Im blown away by the deliciously fresh food, tasty drinks and fun servers! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun and a super trendy and aesthetically appealing design. I would recommend Biancos to anyone as it is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the Edmonton area (and even more amazing that its local).

Ordered pizza for a large group of people. As we walked in the pizzas were being taken out of the oven so they were very warm. The pizzas were very good. The crust was done perfectly, the sauce was excellent and the toppings were very good quality. The service was friendly and efficient. We will be going back for sure.

Beautifully renovated space, great lighting, and slightly loud bass (not music). Staff were very welcoming and friendly but unfortunately our experiences wasn't the greatest. We were seated promptly and had to wait for the 3rd in our party for about 20 mins, had our waters filled but not asked for our drink orders. Ordered 4 dishes (2 apps and 2 mains) to be shared with the table, the arugula salad had too much dressing and not enough tomatoes in it and the beef carpaccio seemingly had the same overpowering dressing as the arugula salad and could barely be detected. Our pizza was great but we had to wait until nearly the end of our dinner when we had to remind our server about our pasta and had to basically re-order it (pointing to the menu and all). The pasta came out shortly and honestly was the feature of the night with a large and generous portion and was mouth watering. Bianco is a new restaurant and is maybe working out its kinks; we would probably visit again after the 6/7 month mark.

My husband planned a surprise birthday dinner for me at Bianco this past weekend;13 guests attended. We were extremely disappointed with the service throughout the evening. To be honest, it was the poorest service I have ever received at a fine dining restaurant. - The server did not greet us upon our arrival or introduce himself; he approached us and asked "are you getting drinks?" - Both of the menu items I hoped to order were unavailable; I understand that this was not within the server’s control, but this was disappointing nonetheless - Two of the guests had an issue with their order; however, the server did not check in on the food quality with guests at any point. By the time these guests saw the server again, they were ready to leave and requested the bill. Their entire plate of pasta was leftover, a clear indication of issues with food quality and the server did not inquire about their satisfaction or experience. - I ordered the Cassarece al ragu with rose sauce, but did not receive it with rose sauce. The pasta was also very gummy - the same issue the other two guests had with their pasta. Again, these issues could not be communicated to the server because he did not check-in and was rarely around. - Two other guests did not receive their food at all; they were forgotten. By the time their food finally arrived, everyone had already finished eating and some had left. Thankfully their orders were comped. - My husband had given the server my birthday cake upon arrival to hide in the back. He had not yet requested it as the two guests whose orders were forgotten were still eating. Out of nowhere, the server came over, put the cake on the table and walked away without saying a word to anyone. Needless to say, the surprise was ruined; we were all so shocked and confused by this behaviour. - Of course, the server did not ask what the occasion was, acknowledge my birthday or wish us a good night. - We had asked for our pasta to be packed up and the server never came back with it. I really don’t feel that there is any acceptable excuse for this kind of service, and it was rather shocking considering Bianco’s stellar reputation. We were respectful guests throughout the evening despite having such a miserable server and we did not made a big deal about anything so as not to disrupt the birthday vibe. However, we are incredibly disappointed that my husband went to all of this trouble to plan a surprise for my birthday and we were treated so poorly. I have been to Bianco for another birthday dinner this past summer and everything was SO wonderful - the service and the food - I constantly raved about it, which is why my husband chose Bianco. He is regretting this choice after this experience. To make matters worse, we reached out to Bianco via email the next day with all of these details included and we have not received acknowledgement or a response. At this point, after such poor service and disregard for our experience, it is worth mentioning that we were a rather diverse crowd. Many of the guests, including myself, are feeling that this is likely the explanation for how we were treated. We will not be returning to Bianco and would not recommend it to anyone based on this experience. We did not feel welcome or respected in this environment and do not wish to feel this way again.

If I could give this a place a 5 for decor/ ambiance and a 2 for food I would. This is probably one of the best designed restaurants in YEG. It’s really aesthetic pleasing, well thought out and has a great little patio. The food and service are not on par. The food looks great but is cold, bland and mediocre. Our arancini was cold - how can something freshly deep fried be cold? Everyone’s pasta dishes were cold too. We told our server & she didn’t care to solve it either. If they made the portions half the size they were and focused on better quality, it would be way better than a jumbo serving of something mediocre. I’d say it’s a cute spot to pop in for drinks, skip the dinner.

TLDR: Good Portions but the food was mediocre and will not blow you away, Great Ambiance and Restaurant Design, OK Drinks and Average Pricing. Service needs improvement Came here for our Anniversary dinner, the ambiance and conceptual design of the restaurant was stunning. I would give that 5/5. My girlfriend and I had high hopes for this. As this restaurant was the talk of the month on all our social media. That's when we started to be disappointed. 2/5- Service : Service was slow and our waiter was lacklustre and lacked any attentiveness at times when we tried to place our order. I hope services improve as the restaurants get its roots down. 2/5- Food : Food was mediocre at best. It was average and could be improved upon with the flavour. With all the hype it had. A highlight of our night was definitely the: Arancini Al Funghi (5/5)-Delicious, crunchy, oozy with cheese inside Calamari (1/5) - The flavour was OK but the breading on it was TERRIBLE. It didn't even stick to the calamari. We were pretty much eating the breading and the cooked squid separably. The spiced aioli was good but the tomato sauce was an afterthought. I would not order this again *Linguine al Nere (2/5)- was all hype and lack flavour.It may look very appealing with the presentation and the squid ink pasta but it really lacked any flavour and seasoning Portion was generous though Gnocchi di Patate Dolci (1/5) - I would definitely not reorder this dish. The Gnocchi was overcooked and extremely soft. The sauce was meh Possibly give it another shot in the future
