This place is an insult to food! We were there on a Sunday for lunch, the place wasn’t packed at all yet we waited 5 minutes(on the clock) to be acknowledged and seated. We ordered pretty fast and got our food very fast (the mains arrived before we were done with the starter). The sub was disgusting : soggy bread inside and burnt outside. The poor thing was stuffed with stale lettuce a poor slice of tomato and 1 piece of cucumber. My seafood casserole($18) was just a greasy mess from a can... with a side of stale lettuce. The chicken nuggets were the cheap stuff from Walmart. So yes it was a one time mistake... why the one star then? For the service ! Kudos to the waiting staff !

Dropped in for the lunch service. The pros: The hostess and waitress were kind. Food was brought out quickly. The cons: The interior is dated and I almost walked out upon entry but stayed to give it a shot. The freshness is questionable. The lettuce in my salad lacked life. The chicken in my sandwich looked like the strips of precooked chicken from Costco rather than freshly made. The ceasar salad lacked parmesan. The flavours overall were pretty bland. The fish in the fish and chips dish was over cooked. They offer a variety of coffee including lattes, espresso and cappuccino but do not have almond/soy for lactose intolerance/vegan patrons. The popcorn shrimp was served in a moc fryer tray that was frayed and sharp. Overall: Come here if you need to eat but don't come here if you're expecting quality.

Mike's is a great casual restaurant for lunch or for dinner. The food was absolutely excellent. The chef really cares about his food. Simply for something like nachos when I asked to remove one of the toppings, the waitress then returned from the kitchen and ask me what I wanted instead of the topping I had removed. To start, service was fairly slow even when the restaurant had literally only 4 other guests in the restaurant. Our waiter was completely unprepared to take our order. When he arrived to our table to take our order, he “forgot” his notepad in which he would have wrote down our order. Instead, he tried to memorize our orders, only failing and coming back to our table multiple times to confirm what we wanted to eat. Not only are the portions small, but they really lack taste. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT buy their Nachos. The tortilla chips were all broken And in crumbs, they top it with regular grocery store salsa and severely skimp out of the fresh vegetables on top. Our main courses (both submarines) arrived with 80% lettuce and were soggy and lacked flavour. Our French fries were stale and tasted like they were oven-baked from frozen (which is not how you want your fries..) Avoid this place and go eat somewhere in which hey care about their food, like Dunn’s.
