I tried to eat here with my wife at 6pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was completely empty (not 1 person inside). They told us they were too busy to serve us, and said that they didn’t want us to wait. They recommended that we go to another restaurant because they were too “busy.” I told them that was a terrible business strategy, and then the sushi chef told me to “f**k off” 3 times. I was taken aback by this encounter, and I was mad enough to leave my first ever review in hopes that it will prevent another person from ever going to this restaurant.

Went there tonight after they changed to new owners earlier this year. Great food. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. Menu also has a good selection of hot food which is preggo and kid friendly. Highly recommended if u need your sushi fix.

5/5 A gem in Dorval! Lobster maki is what you need to order. Do yourself a favour and get this item! It’s a must! I also ordered the dynamite with shrimp tempura and edamame which were very delicious. Probably the only place in the West Island you can visit for incredible experience to your palate. Maybe not as fancy as Maïko, but trust me when I say that you won’t be disappointed! Sushi is an art form in many ways. This restaurant perfects it.

Assumed this was better based on reviews read. Staff was friendly but quality of sushi rolls and sides definitely needs improvement. Tempura batter was heavy and sauce accompanied with it seemed thick. The size of rolls also seemed small. The staff seem to care so I'm sure this will get better with time and experience.

I had a very positive first-time experience. The staff was extremely friendly and we didn't have to wait particularly long. The food was excellent and the rolls were very well prepared. This place hits above its weight class in terms of flavor for the price. However I did want to comment that the rolls themselves were quite small so if your hungry you may want to add a few more items to your order to make sure you're full.

I came to this restaurant because of its high reviews on Google and it's proximity to the Montreal airport. Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted by a friendly atmosphere. I spoke English to the servers and they were quite accommodating to my English. For my food, I ordered the Combo B & the B-52 Roll. they had many different rolls to be offered but they did not have many different options for the combos. I definitely would have liked to have more combo options so it would give me a bit better choice of what rolls I could get without paying a fortune. The combo B is paired with a miso soup that was delightful, one of the better miso soups I've had. Shortly thereafter, they brought me the rolls. The service was fast. The sushi was good but not as good as I had expected. Their rolls were very "ricey" with not as much filling as I'm used to. The fish was fresh but I would have liked for their to be a bit more inside the actual roll itself. All in all, it was an alright experience. I wouldn't say that the sushi is expensive here, but you definitely are missing out on value as the ratio of fish to rice is low. If I found myself with time to kill in Montreal, I would look somewhere else before coming back here. The biggest issue for me was the amount of rice in the rolls. If you prefer rolls to have more rice, this would be a great sushi spot for you.

Visiting from NYC and this place definitely does great, high quality sushi. The prices are much more reasonable than the states and probably in general. The service is also very friendly and efficient. Another bonus is its proximity to the airport. So if you want quality food for a good price it's a great place to stop on the way to and from the airport. Also just a delicious spot for any sushi craving (though I could easily eat sushi everyday). They also have a great lunch special! Apparently the previous owner was subpar, but since it's been under new management I don't have any complaints. I'm definitely coming here anytime I visit Montreal!

We have ordered sushi for the first time. We have ordered the combo D which is 37$ for 33 pieces which was a reasonable price. I would not be coming back to this sushi. The taste was just fine. You could find better sushi elsewhere for the same price. The amount of food was little. Also, they give pieces of tuna and salmon. Very little amount of soya sauce. The maki was not so great and very poor choice from the chef. If ever you wanna order sushi, do not take the combos. Just but individually. They don’t have a large selection of sushi either. It is better to go to an all you can eat sushi then paying this price and still be hungry after.

Really unfortunate. The reviews we read are good but we really fell on a bad batch. Bought the combo D with tempura shrimps. Everything came in disgustingly damp and almost room temperature for 50$. We even googled "how to know if sushis are fresh" to clear our minds and our meal had litteraly ALL of the conditions checked (fish looking milky, and slimy, rice falling appart, weird smell, etc...). I would like to recommend but I really just can't since this is a serious health hazard. Just because we ordered 30 mins before the closing hour shouldn't mean we should get worse quality than anobody else... The only good thing I could write is that the package was ready very fast (but I have doubts that it's simply because they took leftovers and wrapped it nicely for us...)

We love all the food. Salad is very tasty with seaweed, a real Japanese style. Miso soup tastes real great and fresh, there is seaweed and tofu in it, yum yum. Sushi is the amazing part, super delicious. Raw fish is thick in a generous way, the taste is very fresh, never had sushi this delicious. They help us customize the sushi plate, it's an amazing combination, we are very satisfied with both the food and service. BTW, we also had black sesame ice cream, just LOVE it. It has rich sesame taste and smell, not too sweet, it's super good. Totally recommended if you want to have good quality food.

Friendly customer service. The food was exceptionally fresh and arrived on the table fairly quickly. The price is affordable, especially for quality that is being served. I loved their fried tofu entrée. The location is a bit out of the way if you live in the city but public transportation take you really near the restaurant without a problem. I can see the restaurant being a great spot to eat if you're near the Dorval airport.
