Very disappointing. Would have loved to try the food, but couldn’t get past the unbelievably horrible service. Arrived at 8:40 pm on a beautiful August Saturday evening (unaware the kitchen closed at 8:30). Customers and staff still there. Wait staff very much aware we’re standing at the “Please Wait to Be Seated” sign, but after a patient 15 minute wait, it was a customer that politely told us that the kitchen was closed. Decided to try again the next evening. After a very abrupt and rude staff member showed us to our table, it was another 20 minutes to get water (they certainly were not understaffed, they had an entire army of very unhappy looking staff members). The energy of the room was very gloomy, and the patrons shrugged their shoulders at one another with a look of “I’m not sure what’s wrong here”. After being overlooked and for an uncomfortably long period of time, we just left. Do yourself a favour, go down the street to the Wheelhouse (amazing food and wonderful staff).

Our first time there with another couple. I had curry maple chicken. So delicious! The others had seafood plates: bacon wrapped scallops, haddock, shrimps... all these goodies! Everything was perfect! We sat outside, with the view in the Bay. And our waiter was the best ever! The restaurant is behind a souvenir / crafts shop. A must stop!

The Whiskey Maple Bacon Wrapped Scallops were out of this world! Served with some homemade chips, they were covered in a thick, sticky, sweet glaze that had just a bit of heat and the smokeynesss of the bacon just sent it over the top. The Creamery Garlic Shrimp on Cristiano were perfectly cooked.

Excellent experience here! try to make a reservation if you can, they were packed with customers and reservations when we came on a Friday. The food is so great, their scallops are obviously the star. I got the simple scallops with veg on the side which was awesome, their veggies were so fresh and well cooked. my boyfriend got their scallop stir fry with pineapple curry sauce and loved it. the service is awesome too. would definitely go back!

Their????????seafood????????was????????crazy????????good! It was my first time in town and def also my first time in this restaurant. I was so surprised about the food we got. I had fisherman’s platter, which included clam, scallops, jumbo shrimp, a piece of fish, veggies (asparagus and carrots) and a bunch of fires. Everything was so delicious, they all cooked so well. The server was very friendly and helpful too. The atmosphere was good, and I love sitting on the patio and enjoy the view! Everything was so amazing! Love it!

Wow! Was only in Digby for one meal so was hoping to make the most of it and get some tasty scallops. Definitely picked the right restaurant! Absolutely delicious. The seafood chowder was huge, as was the "small" Caesar salad. Nice view and friendly service rounded out the visit.

If you're in Digby (and you are, because why else would you be reading reviews from there?) and haven't tried Shoreline, are you even really in Digby? The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions for ordering; the food was delicious, and the view of the wharf and harbour were supreme. In typical Digby style, they "scallop all the things"; even the mac and cheese is loaded with them! Will absolutely go again when we return to the area.

And you can sit out on a balcony and watch the harbour. Craft beer is available and the prices are very reasonable. I would easily go back.

Beautiful view, food very ordinary, prices hight for the quality. The capital of scallops and only 3 choices of this beautiful product on the menu and more than basics ones. I chose the pan seared ones in garlic butter. They were not seared and no taste of garlic. We had our main courses when we hadn't eaten half of our appetizers! Those appetizers were fried to death, the calamari and the quahog didn't taste anything except the frying. Even the frozen margaritas did not taste anything. The service was like a chain of production : very fast and not personnalised. Eat! we need the table for some other unsuspecting tourists! More than 60$/each for something you can do a lot better at home. Keep your money and go somewhere else.

The unprofessionalism of this restaraunt is shocking. Goodluck to those who dare ask a question or voice a concern. Their non-chalant approach to a severe shellfish allergy, and their blatant lack of care for the customer experience is not what we expect from local eatery's when travelling. We chose to stay and find something on the menu even though our top 2 picks were not available to order as they had run out. Understandable, I know soups tend to fly when the day has been a cold one, but we had hoped for a little more care. The answer of "we fry everything in the same oil so you'd be taking your chances ordering fish and chips or anything deep fried. Your choice I guess." Did not inspire confidence when we informed our waitress of the severity of the shellfish allergy. To the owners, who based of of the review a couple below me will not be able to help themselves but tear into their customers and make wild accusations to this review as opposed to listen and apologize (which goes a long way), I respect your defending your establishment however sometimes feedback is not negative but constructive. Just food for thought.

Had the seafood chowder and the lobster and shrimp in it was very chewy. It wasn't made fresh today. The fish and chips were alright. I expect fish to be made with a beer batter coating but mine was something more crispy. Wasn't a big fan of it. The rest of the food that my family got was good.

We weren't sure where to go in Digby. We noticed this restaurant advertising fresh lobster and decided on it since my inlaws and significant other like sea food. It looks small on the outside but once you go in, it's bigger. The inside is a gift shop with typical Canada stuff. They advertise that if you buy something from it, you get 10% off of your meal. So we bought a cute stuffied Scottish-style bear and a clam air freshener. The restaurant was bustling! There was a lot of decor about the surrounding area and a tank filled with lobster to pick. It's clean. The washrooms are only one each so I had to wait in a mini-line to use them. I remember that there were paintings on the wall about local sights like lighthouses while I waited for the washroom. The floors are wooden. I can't remember what the booths were like. My inlaws wanted seats outside even though there were plenty inside. We asked the hostess if she could clean up the free outdoor table which hadn't been cleaned off. She quickly and happily obliged. The menu had a lot of sea food options and non-sea food ones. I opted for a chicken club with fries. There were SO MANY fries!! I loved the flavoring they put on the fries. My significant other got fish and chips. He really liked it. They are generous with their portions! My Father-in-law got a rib combo with fish and my Mother-in-law got haddock. The price was cheap, too. They offer decent food with good prices and fairly friendly service Food came out swiftly. If you like lots of food and cheap prices it's a good choice.

AVOID AVOID AVOID my lips are still shrivelled from the amount of salt they use to cover the taste of their food 2 of us had the seafood, at this seafood restaurant, and were awarded with food poisoning....thanks for ruining a vacation Shoreline! A stain on our trip to Nova Scotia for sure We did not dine anywhere else that day. We had toast at home and in the morning, snacked on chips and apples during our boat cruise in Brier Island and then stopped at your establishment on the way home for dinner After two responses from the owner of this establishment that are both accusing me of some kind of conspiracy I'd like to put this post to rest. If I had been staying in Digby I would have gone back to the restaurant to speak with you in person the next day about how sick we became after eating your food. Your responses to this very serious complaint about your food has been very telling of the type of business and professionalism you operate under.

WE GO FOR THE VIEW. FOOD IS SECONDARY. Had lunch with family. We ordered appetizers of calamari( tender and tasty)and Spudchos ( nacho toppings over the house made potato chips). Both were plentiful and delicious. The main I had was clams and house made chips. After the appetizers the chips were a bit much. The clams were good and not greasy. Others had the daily special salad of greens, berries and grilled scallops and shrimp. Fish and chips were also very good.

The service was very friendly and prompt. Our drinks and meals arrived so quickly. The Neptune salad was probably the best meal of all - great varying components made the dish so flavorful and bright. The seafood chowder was a mountain of seafood in a light cream broth - not so heavy and rich which was fantastic. The chicken alfredo was good, could have used a touch more salt. The fish and chips were great - fresh cut fries, lightly dusted piece of haddock and no sign of grease anywhere, very mild in flavor and so tender it would fall apart in the mouth. The scallop kebab was a let down - very bland scallops and veggies on a skewer of unseasoned white rice. Overall not bad, but the experience really depends on the dish you get.

Based on recommendations from Google we decided to stop by on our way to the ferry. I found this place disappointing. Location & view were nice, but the food was below-average. I found the bacon-wrapped scallops too salty. The hamburger patty was falling apart. The fries were over-cooked & greasy. Food not worth the price. The food arrived quickly and the staff were friendly, but I found the the restaurant was 3-stars at the most.

Excellent courteous service and great food. There are a lot of menu options and of course Digby scallops are a strong recommendation. It always makes me laugh when I am intentionally routed through a gift shop to go anywhere including this restaurant. We bought a few gifts at this quality gift shop. If you are done with gift shops then this restaurant has this one negative feature that you need to consider.

Great food and great service. Had the bacon wrapped scallops and garden salad to start. I never thought I would say this but the bacon paled in comparison to the scallops. The garden salad had beets, chevre, dried cranberries and walnuts with a sweet vinaigrette. Delicious. For mains we had grilled scallops and mashed potatoes. Amazing. The kids had fish and chips. The haddock was lightly breaded and we'll cooked and the fries were thinly cut pieces of potato heaven. Great view of the marina. Only regret is being able to eat there once during this trip.

As Digby is the 'Scallop Capitol of the World', we had to plan a visit during our stay in Nova Scotia. There are several highly rated restaurants in Digby and as we only had an afternoon in Digby, we gambled on the Shoreline Restaurant and we were not disappointed! We lucked up and with no wait got a table on the deck overlooking the marina. Our waitress was fantastic and made several helpful suggestions on our food choices. We started with the Quohog Bites (lightly battered fried clams), I've never cared for clams but these were amazing, not greasy or over-battered. My husband had the highly recommended Pan Fried Scallops and loved them. On the advise of our waitress I opted for the Pan Fried Haddock, fantastic! The portions were all very generous and the prices very reasonable.

We decided to try both of the top rated restaurants in Digby, of which Shoreline is one. We had no reservation, so when we asked for, and received, a table on the patio we were very pleased. Our server was a bundle of energy (despite what a hard job she has). Many of the dishes that both restaurants serve are deep-fried or combinations like mac and lobster. We prefer simple preparations: just sautéed with a squeeze of lemon. And since this part of the world is famous for scallops, we requested them done that way. We didn’t order any appetizers because we know how much food they serve. The quality was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner: 2 orders of scallops (14 pieces) + baked potato + (amazing) zucchini + a beer + a glass of wine: CAD $88.
