Walked in at lunch time, sat to a dirty table with the previous occupants dishes still there, ignored for 10 minutes by multiple employees. Tried to get acknowledged, that didn’t work. Decided to get up and leave, the only acknowledgment was by the table beside us telling the server that we hadn’t been served yet, and the servers response was “oh we’re too busy for them right now... well original joes, your staff today was deplorable and I would seriously consider dealing with that.

Standard OJ’s fare. The waitress was sweet and the bathrooms were clean, but the food was definitely a little over priced. Also - happy hour sliders are actually just “slider”, and happy hour fish tacos are actually just “fish taco.” May have said so on the menu, but we couldn’t find the happy hour options on the existing menu.

This was my first time at this location. To be honest is been a while since I visited any OJ establishment. The place was very clean, our waitress was very charming and very nice to all of us. I didn’t get her name but she had a lot of tattoos; if you get her please tip her good. She listen to our request and was very courteous. The food was brought on time, we were not rushed to order by any means and we took our time. Drinks kept being topped up and we never asked once for anything; it came to as as a miracle and the level of service was above and beyond. The appetizers were in point, nice and warm and just right for our get together. The meals were above and beyond. Please try the steak sandwich, you will be blown away by it. I definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back to it. Let me know what you think and keep on eating. #chicosreviews76

Went here 16/05/17 ordered the butter chicken, what a wast of money that was.. had five small pieces of chicken in it sauce was over kill the drown rice was cooked good. Are the chicken got the rest to go and made a meal out the left overs. Such a disappointment. Been here lots of times for lunch. Service is always quick, great cocktails and cold beer. They have very good wings I also recommend the teriyaki chicken rice bowl but get the sauce on the side it's a little bit over kill once in a while. Had bad service at the bar twice now.

I ordered the notchos take out I gotta say they were the worst ever!! I paid for spicy beef, almost none. Cheese almost none. A few veggies on the bottom. Paid for extra sour cream and salsa at 2.00 each and didn't get that. I will never go here again. They should be ashamed to put that out of a kitchen. 30.00 and it went in the garage.

Service wasn’t great. I was on my own so maybe not so noticeable, but it seemed like I got forgotten about. The food also wasn’t great. I ordered the Fish Tacos wit Caesar salad. Tacos were quite bland even with the added salsa and there wasn’t very much fish. The salad was way over dressed and the dressing was very acidic. The menu said there would be avocado, cilantro and green onion along with the lettuce and tomato, there wasn’t. I’d rather just be told that have the ingredients will be missing and be able to choose something else. This was my first time at original joes and it will be my last.

Had an evening out and decided to go to Original Joe's Restaurant and Bar, we had fish tacos and a steak dinner the food was mediocre at best, portions were small and the staff were not very efficient and ignored their customers while they were talking to other customers for almost the entire time we were there. The music was SO LOUD and annoying we couldn't even have a conversation at our table. We ate our food as fast as we could and got the heck out there and haven't been back since. Terrible service and atmosphere.

Although I am always reluctant to give a local restaurant a poor star rating, unfortunately it's time. This was our 3rd, less than stellar experience at Original Joe's and I'm hoping some improvements happen as a result of this feedback. On a positive note, thankfully, the food quality has not changed and we enjoyed our meal very much. However, OJ's seems to be chronically understaffed which effects the level of service their remaining servers are able to give. Please note, our server was extremely friendly and efficient as she could be given the circumstances. This review is no reflection on her as she seemed to do the absolute best she could in the situation. As far as we could see, there were only 2 servers working the entire restaurant, which was decently full for Mother's Day. Before you comment that perhaps they gave their "Mom servers" the day off, this has been the same issue on our 2 previous visits. These servers ran the whole time we were there but clearly the lack of staff results in various shortfalls of service such as our dirty appy plates left on table through meal, empty drinks, and an extended dining time. Also, when did Original Joe's start allowing little kids?!? No, I'm not a monster - just out of that stage of life and it was nice to have somewhere to go which was all adults. All in all, it seems OJ's is suffering boom time staff shortages in a time when many people are looking for work.

Well I am here now. I took my parents for dinner and it truly sucks. The waitress just took something we were using right off the table and gave it to someone else did not even ask!! Gave my dad a salmon appetiser steak or something the size of a dish for dinner. He ordered steak and shrimp with mash potatoes. By the time they fixed it we were long done eating A cereal dish of noodles for 15 bucks really! Good place to drink, but now for supper. So disappointed brutal. If you're looking for a burger giver not supper! I'm so mad I will never set foot in this place again. This is not fort mac strong!! So not worth it! If I ran my business in town like this it would be all over fm side jobs! So I guess there is more!! So I gave 100 for a 97.50 bill if I had have had exact change they would have gave that! Then the waitress said you know I have to tip out the kitchen staff on all my bills. Well tips are for service and quality. We had anything but that! If others have had a great experience fantastic. It's not mine!

This is my go to place when I want a good quality meal in a relaxed setting with friends. The staff are always friendly and the food is always great. It is a loud restaurant/bar which I don't mind. But if you are looking for a quiet setting, this is not the place to go. My favorite meal is the fish tacos. They also have the best sweet potato fries ever!

We just ordered from Bulldog delivery. This was hands down the most disgusting meal we have ever had. Onions rings were inedible, French fries were hard and not cooked, my instructions were to have certain ingredients removed from my burger, they were still on it, asked for 2 ginger ale and got Coke instead, salmon burger was tasteless, and both meals were freezing cold. My wife ordered the vegi and humus which when it came out had dried up, disgusting veg. When we pointed it out, she took away the entire plate with the pita...and never brought it back only the veg, which was pretty much the same dried out mess. Not impressed! Definetly wont be paying for it...train your staff its bad enough they are young and too dumb to do the right thing, but that food is just not acceptable.

The Dragon boats were excellent, and the Greek Ribs were also good. But our first server was rather slow. She was chipper and friendly, but seemed more interested in chatting with another particular patron than serving us. It took a while to get our first drinks, but the food was rather timely. Our second server, who took over the table (not at our request), was someone I knew, so service was greatly improved. I am sad that they removed the Okanagan Springs' Brewmasters Black from the draught selection as we went there specifically for that...

Honestly the food is pretty meh. But that's standard for chain restaurants. Which makes sense since they're all owned by the same company for the most part. But who goes to a chain for a gourmet experience? Only crazy people who don't know a good meal from the McDonald's on their lap. The food at a chain is safe, familiar and nothing special. The service, though, was better than expected. Basically they didn't forget anything which is really all one can ask for.

I love this place!!! Theres food options for everyone (vegan, vegetarian, gluten sensitive, or just darn picky) The staff are always amazing and the overall experience never disappoints.. Def head over heels for dill dip, cant have a fry without now, ruined for life!! (in a good way!!)

My wife and I had lunch here. The service was fantastic. The music was great, not so loud that you can't hear your table conversation, but loud enough for listening. Food was okay. Parking is okay. Restaurant was clean and nicely laid out.

Worst service I have had ever at a originals Jonr 20 minutes to get water didn't even have a menu for 15 we are one of the fire crews up here and this is the third time each time thinking it's gonna be better I got a beef dip and the meat was cold and bun soggy. I accidently shot a bunch of hot sauce on my friends white jacket. The waitress (I'm so sorry I forgot your name) stopped everything to wash it up so it wouldn't stain. Excellent service and great food! I purchased the same meal, a 500 burger and rice, from 3 different Original Joe's location. One in Calgary through Skip and was told they were sold out. One through a separate OJ on Kengsington where both the burger and rice were blah. However, the same meal from the same chain in Fort McMurray was AMAZING! To top it off, my group and I received the best service I have seen in a long time - especially considering the standard of service typically found in Fort Mac (usually pretty substandard vs anywhere else.) Hands down recommend this establishment which has clearly learned that competition in Fort Mac has gone up and restaurants/bars need to step up their game.

My boyfriend and I went to eat lunch here a few days ago. It was nice inside, people were distanced while eatingm server was kind and personable. Food was amazing, way too much food lol I got a burger and Holy cow it came with 2 sides lol definitely left feeling very full! Will be coming back!

It makes me so mad that it takes a hr to get nachos and wings and still no wings. Funny how our servers friends got thier food before us even tho they were here after us. I use to come here all the time but after today not likely, also my nachos are cold and still no wings after an hour of waiting . It's not even busy like wow! Oh and only one drink I that time too and now it turns out that my wing order wasent even put in, mabey the server should focus on customer service more then showing thier friends pictures on thier phone. Btw the nachos barley had any beef that I paid 5 dollars for and no cheese. I'm ver very dissatisfied with this visit and I'll probably never come back and i felt bad to not leave a tip bit i shouldn't had to even pay for this!!

The servers are very friendly. O.J's is a definite choice for us whenever we want to celebrate and eat!After Jeffrey's, this is my go-to lunch/dinner/drinks spot for meeting friends when I'm in town. OJ's does pretty decent pub+ food... a step up from regular pub food. They've also got a decent beer menu, and I like the big windows. The view is... well, not great. But the sunlight is nice in the winter.

Came here for dinner place was busy so I could understand someone not coming to the front door to provide wait time or to seat me. However after 15 minutes of standing inside the front door waiting to be even acknowledged by someone working at the place I gave up about waiting after 20 minutes. In that time I watch multiple tables leave disappointed as well. Never to return to this location. Regular in Edmonton North end that services their customer even when busy.

Do not come here if you have plans afterwards. We were planning a quick lunch… only a handful of people in the restaurant and it took over 45 minutes to get our burgers. We didn’t even get to sit and eat. By the time we got the food, we needed to pack it up and leave. All this might have been alright if the food was great! But it wasn’t. My husbands burger was burnt and his fries undercooked. Only redeeming part of the meal, was the booze.

Closing the kitchen at 9:20 pm when the hours are until 10 pm is a little too early I'd say. Simply change the closing time to 9:20 or 9 if the kitchen is closed at that time.

Great server helped accommodate my spouse's food allergies by checking with the kitchen and making good suggestions - very much appreciated! We were 3 and all our meals were good quality and good portion sizes - and of course tasty too! We were craving the Brussel sprouts yesterday! Lindsay was our server and she is fantastic! Made a reservation around noon today which they did not keep for us. Been here since 7:25 so it's been about 40 minutes so far and have not received our appetizers, not impressed. The restaurant isn't even full. Dirty tables have been sitting here longer then us as well. Only came because we had a giftcard given to us. Service is not bad though, although unhappy with our valentine's evening.

The place was packed on my arrival. That's usually a good sign. Was seated within a couple of minutes at a freshly wiped and set table. The staff are friendly even while run off their feet as they were that evening. My steak was cooked perfectly to order, not an ounce of fat or gristle. I don't usually indulge in dessert, but I can't resist the French Beginets. Baked fresh and covered in powdered sugar with a fruit compote to dip them in. Delicious! I plan on returning soon.
