Visited on our way through Cranbrook and are.avid Mexican food fans. Service was good, friendly host and restaurant was clean. We were the only ones there though at lunchtime. We found our meals on the bland side however, and the rice was not mexican at all, more like standard long grain plain rice. Refried beans were very bland and meals needed salt. Salsa was good however. Overall just ok and not a showstopper for us.

Traditional style cooking and friendly staff. Prices were fairly good and a comfortable environment. This isn't no taco bell or taco time so be prepared for real food. Would recommend this place to family and friends!!!

Far and away some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The owners are incredibly kind and maintain a fantastic dining experience. From the selection of Jarritos pops and the complimentary home made tortilla chips and salsa before your meal, to the home made tortillas used in their entrees, I have never been disappointed in a meal here. Prices are more than reasonable for a mini Mexican vacation.

Food was incredibly bad. Overcooked steak that was very tough. Greasy vegetables. Rice with frozen vegetables. Old frozen shrimp. Gross. And they don't take credit cards and don't even have a sign out front saying that. Never going back.

I really like this place. I actually prefer going there for dinner and ordering the Mucho Burrito which is not on the menu. My friends don't really like this place but I think it's more just because the atmosphere is not to thier liking. I personally don't mind the atmosphere it's fairly quiet and relaxed. I love the tortilla chips they bring before every meal they're homemade and the salsa that is homemade is also very good.

The food & service are amazing! The owner is friendly & soft spoken and speaks Spanish which adds to the authenticity of this restaurant. We have been to other Mexican or Spanish restaurants & the staff did not know what we were talking about when we are speaking Spanish to them. We have drove out of our way to come to this place when in the area. It is as a place we would definitely recommend to others.

I discovered Cancun when I started traveling through Cranbrook for work a couple of times every month in July 2020. I have made it a point of going back at least a couple of times a month. Food is excellent! Very fresh tasting and I have tried several of the dishes on the menu. My favorite is the chicken chimichanga. Service has always been with a smile and I just can't say enough good things about the restaurant. Menu pricing is very reasonable and portions are large. Will definitely stop here when I'm in Cranbrook next!

I was driving through Cranbrook and decided to stop here based on the reviews. This is possibly the worst burrito I’ve ever ordered in my life, I can’t believe this was $17. If I had ordered for dine in and this showed up on my table I would’ve sent it back but I had already left. I walked into the restaurant just after opening so I was the only customer inside. After I placed my order the gentleman walked into the kitchen and I heard a microwave. For me that is a major red flag restaurant should not be reheating food in a microwave especially authentic restaurants. I wish I would’ve left as soon as I heard the microwave. The tortilla 100% hands-down was not home made the rice tasted old and gritty the bean sauce was an edible. There was literally nothing in the burrito except pieces of meat and a sliver of cheese. I honestly don’t know how they sell this

We have heard very good reviews of this restaurant. They are all as expected and more. The cuisine is very authentic, good portions and a pleasing plate appearance. The flavours are what I expect and receive in Mexico. I tried a Sal Valdoran dish called Tempecurcina I apologize for the incorrect spelling, very delcious. I definitely recommend this local favorite.

Very authentic. Went with a party of 7 people, and I tried a little of each dish. All was very tasty. Owners and staff are super friendly and over-the-top welcoming. Owner grows herbs in flower beds in the front of the building and you can tell how fresh everything is. This place is a little gem!

Just like Mexico! I love how the fella speaks Spanish. Can pretend I'm on vacation for an hour. Ill make making special trips down from Radium to eat here!

Wow - a Salvadoran restaurant in Cranbrook, who would have thought? Came here for lunch and had Tingas and they blew me away so much I had to come back for enchiladas. This place is incredible! Beautifully decorated in festive traditional art, the sweetest old couple from El Salvidor are the owners and hosts. Free nacho appetizer with every meal (best nacho chips ever - homemade! Cranbrook I am so jealous.

This place is AUTHENTIC. I feel like I'm no longer in Canada when I go in. The food is delicious with good value, and evidently homemade. When you leave you you are comfortably full and don't feel like you've ingested pounds of carbs and salt like other restaurants. I love supporting this place.

IT'S SO DELICIOUS.) They also provided chips when we arrived, which I always appreciate. Please note they do not accept credit cards here as it is a family operated restaurant (as one gentleman felt the need to complain about loudly for a long length of time, which was the only disappointing that happened while I was here). Just bring cash or debit, like a normal person would.

what a delightful surprise in Cranbrook. Very fresh vegetables, well prepared meals with just enough spice to keep us gringos interested. Price was reasonable, and the service from a mom and pop type was just excellent. Location is a bit hidden and the interior is very comfortable and clean. I will go there whenever I visit Cranbrook.

Authentic and fair prices. Very hard to find real Mexican food in BC and Alberta, so this was a nice find. Soups start around $7 and the main dishes don't exceed $20. The sample plate I ordered was $17. Portion sizes are good - complimentary chips and salsa was appreciated. You will get this in Texas and Mexico, but Canada doesn't tend to give anything for free. The menu isn't extremely user-friendly for those not familiar with this cuisine; however a quick Google search or asking the server can help solve any questions. It's always a treat to experience restaurants like these, and enjoy the unique flavours and family recipes. A previous reviewer was complaining about cash only? We had no issues paying debit, I think credit may not be accepted here though.

I ordered what the menu calls the "most popular dish in El Salvador". It was much lighter than the cheese-laden fare you often get at Mexican restaurants. The food was well-presented, delicious & healthy! Very nice. I was the only customer on a Saturday night, however. The place could use a bit of a facelift -- the washrooms are in desperate need of a few hundred bucks' worth of upgrades. The kitchen cabinets, visible to customers, should be painted. A small investment in upkeep -- even na few new $2 switch covers would make a difference! -- could make the place more inviting and bring in more customers.

This place is phenomenal. My favourite is their chicken quesadilla (quesadilla de pollo)! It is not spicy at all. It also comes with a salad, rice and refried beans as well. Big portions. Everything they make here is delicious.

We stopped in at Cancun Mexican and International for a late lunch today. Loved it! Good food, good service and wonderful people running the restaurant. Engaging and charming. I REALLY thank them for asking for our COVID-19 vaccination passports which is now required by law. By doing the right thing and asking for our vaccination passports they show that they want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. Gracias!

Lovely older couple, presumably from El Salvador, own this restaurant and I enjoyed the opportunity to support a local business but the food was not great. A thimble of guac and a thimble of salsa for our fajitas. We might have gotten better quality food from the taco bell across the street. Just felt like all the food came from a can.
