I didn't know they did delivery till today! It's pricey but worth it. They top everything, making sure your takeout is full. This is the first time where I didn't have to pay at the door, you can do it online which is handy! And you can watch when the driver is coming, it's quite entertaining. Overall food is excellent and fresh.

Good taste but the keftedes are dry and crusty. Roast vegetables were only zucchini and bell pepper, which I thought was too many mushy things, would've benefitted from carrots. I will probably try something different next time.

You know it's bad when the dogs won't eat it... This is the worst meeal I've been served in my life, disgusting doesn't even begin to cover the swill this restraunt tried to pass off as food. Nothing about that meal was even Greek! (And Ive been to Greece!) MUSHY FRENCH FRIES ON A GYROS!?? GROSS The lamb was boiled slop. The dessert which was supposed to be filo based had NO filo in it. I want my $98 back these people have no business running a restraunt! Go to Yummies and Gyros folks!

Terribly disappointed with my experience last night. We used Skip the Dishes for the delivery of our food and was so impressed with Liam the driver and couldn’t wait to dive into our meal. I ordered the spinach stuffed chicken (great dish) and my wife ordered the “Beef Gyro”. We eat Greek food lots and I personally have cooked for many Greek restaurants. My wife took a bite of her Gyro and sprung up from the table to dash to the garbage can to spit it out. Wow was that a shocker. I called the restaurant to ask what was it that she ate it was Keftedes meatballs. When I told the woman who answered that this was a terrible mistake, she seemed to not care one bit and advised me that they don’t have beef there, just ground beef meatballs. Done with that place. Zero customer service

Friday night take-away - very generous portions, lamb souvlaki was cooked perfectly, bit of pink on the inside with a nice char. Plenty of veg, rice and potatoes - had to save the salad for the next day!

We had Yiamas cater our friends wedding and they did a great job. The salads were 10/10. And the lamb, I am not one to eat lamb much, I find it greasy/gamey but man did they season it to perfection. It was slow cooked and tender. Definitely worth going and eating there.

Popped in after a day of adventuring and although we were all pretty grubby, our family was welcomed into Yiamas for dinner without a second glance. We had the souvlaki, kalamari, and stuffed chicken entrees, and all of us were floored by how delicious the meals were. Despite having been exploring all day, none of us could clear the plates entirely, but that was only because there was so much, not at all reflective of the quality. The food was delicious, wonderfully prepared and really, REALLY filling. Service was exceptional, and very friendly. Covid-related: Yiamas made every effort to keep diners safe and separated. They provide hand sanitizer at the entry point, have limited indoor seating, and have signs on every table for the diners to either request service, or to be left alone, limiting unnecessary exposures.

We gave this place a try and were thrilled with the food and the service! The Spinach Dip is awesome. Every single item on our dinner plates was delicious - from the mains (prawns and chicken souvlaki) to the sides. It wasn't loud and we could even converse pleasantly with one another. WOW! We just had dinner here (we are visiting from Vancouver) and it was the best Greek food I’ve ever had. Calamari was unreal, the lamb was so tender and customer service top notch. We have done take out three times with Yiamas and food was pretty good, not really exceptional. Portions were average for the price. We really wanted to be super excited since Greek food is our family favourite but after the last time spending almost $100 for a family of 3 and just feeling so-so about the meal, I'm not sure we'll go back any time soon.

This review is a little late, but I took my partner here for a lovely meal a few weeks ago. The service was thoughtful and kind. The food was tasty and my portion of lamb was bigger than I could of hoped for. We had to take it home and eat if for lunch the next day. Everything about this place, form COVID safety to the food was amazing. I will be back!

I came here for a company holiday party and this place was wonderful. The food was amazing. We were served hummus, olive pate, and spinach dip with two kinds of pita, which were all great. Most spinach dips are kind of runny, but this one was good and thick. Next we were on to calamari. Perfectly cooked. I should not have filled up so much at this part of the meal. We got Greek salad and Caesar salad, and the biggest thing I can mention about them is how nice it was that the onion was cut to a good size, not the huge cubes that a lot of places do. Then the entree: roasted potatoes, carrots, and beets that were maybe the best I've ever had of any of those things, with prawns (perfect), chicken (I don't eat chicken so no review about that), and spanakopita, which was also amazing. There were two desserts that I never caught the names of. They were awesome, but I want in much of an eating mood by the time they came out after hummus, pate, spinach dip, pita, calamari, salad, roasted vegetables, prawns, and spanakopita. The staff was wonderful too. I believe we met almost the whole team at some point, even the cook poked his head out of the kitchen to receive a round of applause. They were all polite and smiling and really nice, but didn't hang out too long at the tables. Great service too. I don't think I have a negative thing to say. There were a couple in our group with some dietary restrictions, myself included, but every dish came with a summary of what could and couldn't be eaten ("this is dairy", "this is vegetarian"). I think I even remember seeing a special option come out of the kitchen for a person with some more restrictive requirements. Overall, a really great time and a really great restaurant. I'll be looking for an opportunity to go back.

We ordered takeout today. Was pleasantly surprised that they can accommodate gluten free for a person with Celiac disease and also for a person with vegan dietary restrictions. All in all the person we spoke with on the phone and when we arrived to pickup were really nice and we get taken care of. The order was ready quickly and we got back home we all felt the food was delicious and plentiful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yiamas. Great food and really nice people! Side note. I ordered the vegan stuffed eggplant. Very delicious. How did they make vegan béchamel?? I have no idea but it was awesome!

My wife and I have been eating there every time we go to mount Washington for over 10 years. Summer or winter the food is fantastic. I had three other tugboaters with me last night. We walked out stuffed and all hands were very satisfied. The tsatziki was so good and their bread is incredible. The dolmades keftedes saganaki everything was fantastic. COVID protocols were excellent. I recommend Yiamas 100%. Thanks again for an enjoyable evening.

I wasn't too sure about Yiamas before going there for lunch but I was impressed with the delicious appetizers and generous portions. even though it was a quiet Friday afternoon the food was fresh and the service was prompt. I even had one of my favourite drinks, a spanish coffee, and it was made properly! Will be back for more some other time.

I had just gotten to the island from Ottawa and was hangry enough to take a bite out of a complete stranger when we spotted this unassuming little Greek place. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer which came with homemade tzaziki and the roasted lamb as a main. Gawd damn! I'm so glad we stopped here. The pita bread was soft, doughy, and piping hot. The calamari was tender and cooked perfectly. And the lamb! I just touched it with my fork and it fell to pieces. So tender. So juicy. And seasoned just right. A definite recommend for anyone who enjoys good Greek food.

We have just arrived home after an evening meal at Yiamas, and we can't stop talking about it. Everyone at the table said that it was one of the BEST meals they have experienced in a very long time. The lamb was so tender and seasoned to perfection. Three at the table had the stuffed chicken- amazing! The prawns and scallops were also enjoyed with huge compliments. I live in the Comox Valley and am sad I have only just discovered this gem. We will be back.

Excellent service and plentiful and delicious food! Best Greek I've ever had. We ordered the appetizer platter and two salads and we were delighted with the quality, variety and quantity of food. The large salads are really large! The meatballs were perfectly spiced, the spanakopita was scrumptious, the stuffed grape leaves were perfect, and the calamari was delicious! With the tzatziki, olives, feta and pita there was actually enough food for a third person. The sweet Greek coffee is the real thing and we had to split the hekmek because we were so full! The people at another table were raving about the lamb so we're planning another visit soon to verify their claim.

Fantastic greek food! We ordered the chicken souvlaki for delivery. The chicken was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The rice and potatoes were more subtle but still delicious! The roasted zucchini and pepper were an added bonus and we were too full to get to the Greek salad but did have a taste test. Food is fresh. We will absolutely order from here again. My only tiny suggestion is to work on the tzatziki as it was a little too thick for my liking. Still tasty though.

The new vegan menu is really excellent and well thought out. The Greek coffee was delicious, the hummus is made on site (and vegan), our dinners were great, the roasted eggplant had a hint of nutmeg that really made it pop and the phyllo plate had a great crunch and the flavours of the sweet potato and red pepper really pulled it together into a comfort food favourite. Potatoes and salad were classically Greek amazing, no one does potatoes like Greeks do potatoes. The service was very professional, ultra polite, and very friendly. They went above and beyond to accommodate tables for requests like high chairs,different seating options,etc. Never had to wait for service and felt very well taken care of (like visiting family). Last but not least, make sure you save room for the baklava (also vegan) it is warm and sweet and literally to die for. It's too bad for blue spruce ice cream being across the street, because next time the lady suggests ice cream I'll probably counter with coffee and baklava at Yiamas. Check this place out, you won't regret it, even if you're not vegan, excellent for for value and bonus points for the separate vegan menu options making it clear and easy to order.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. We had the mega appetizer plate between 4 of us, and then our meals. Servers were great, no rush between courses and each of us ordered something different and we all really enjoyed every bite! Have been here several times and never been disappointed.
