The food is good. But not great to me. Nothing wrong with it nor is it amazing. The waitress we had seemed like she didn't want to be there and not engaging at all. Usually I don't care, but I was with my grandmother who expects a bit more from service. And ignoring my grandmother is a way to not get any kind of tip from me. She was lucky my grandmother is nicer than I am, as she did a tip. She would have made more money from our table though had she smiled at all and payed attention. It wasn't even busy. We did not complicate our order. It was straight forward. Her demeanor was unnecessary. If my grandmother wasn't there I would have told her to her face. But it was Easter and I didn't. Yes this was one visit and we have been several times. The past experiences are like I said in the beginning. Good but not amazing.. Prices are in line with other "family" style resturants.

Very excited to finally be out and eating together as a family, and they uprooted us from our table, secluded us in their family room, and demanded we sit in two different tables.. Okay covid and all - but we are a family and now that we are in this secluded room we still cant dine together? Say goodbye to our service and your tip.

Usually i would give white spot 4 stars, but its just me tonight during the dinner rush and they sat me right away at the bar with my consent. The bartender has been kind with conversation even though she is working her tail feathers off. Quite enjoying my alone time here! Food and drink. The winter ale is very flavourful, how ever the pale ale is more my style. My go to is always the chicken pot pie. Literally every time I come here

First and foremost, great service. Friendly staff even though I get the feeling they're over worked here. The food on the other hand was nothing particularly memorable. Kids meal is fine. The mains my girlfriend and I ordered, for the price, left a ton to be desired. 20 bucks for a burger and starter salad of spring mix. A couple sliced almonds, couple cranberries, no spinach and the dressing was far too acidic with next to no oil. The burger might as well been a Costco patty with some fresh mushrooms, decent mozza cheese and triple-O sauce. Decent burger yes but nowhere near the 20 dollars charged. The establishment was clean and has a friendly environment for sure. Just feel corporate is trying to squeeze every nickle they can from the menu items vs cost. Unfortunately very unlikely we'll be visiting again. Too many better family options in the area.

With the restrictions easing and the opening of restaurants. Some friend and I went down to White Spot for a bite to eat. It was just before the supper hour so wasn't super busy and we got a table right away. They have disposable menu's! That way nothing can get spread around I'm guessing. I ordered the Legendary Burger (bacon of course with cheese) with fries and coleslaw. The portion size was perfect for me and I finished the whole thing. ???? the triple 'O' sauce gives this burger a wonderfully different taste, the bacon crispy and the vegetables fresh! Very yummy! The staff is awesome! Great service and good sense of humour, well they laughed at my bad jokes! ???? I certainly recommend this restaurant for good food and atmosphere. Sorry about the bad photo!

This is great place for some great food from BC sources. Our waitress was on point and very friendly and though the place waa quite busy, the food came out quickly. The ambience has a nice "at home" feeling which is common to most White Spots.

Damn good. No offer of endless fries, even though it's stated on the menu.. That was fine though, I was pretty full after the burger.

After a reallllyyy long day at work, hubby and I were looking forward to ordering a take out dinner from White Spot. Unfortunately, we didn't receive the garlic bread which usually comes with our order. I called the restaurant to double check if we had accidentally forgotten to take that item with us and they immediately apologized for the missed item and offered to deliver not only the bread but also a complimentary slice of strawberry cheesecake (to Cumberland). When the delivery driver arrived, we found the bread, cheesecake AND an extra serving of the same pasta we ordered. Wow. What service! Thank you, White Spot Courtenay. Phenomenal job.

Had the Halibut with prawns with my wife for her Birthday. The prawns were small fried shrimp and not prawns by any stretch as the menu stated. The food tasted delicious. The service was very good. We even got a free piece of cake for her birthday. Now the bad part. We both were sitting in the washroom for an hour after we came home and still the next morning. Something must of been real bad that we ate. With the shrimp or halibut as we were both in the toilet for a long time. Sorry but won’t ever go back. There’s a bad food issue here for sure. Again don’t put prawns in the menu and serve up shrimp. The waitress didn’t even know the difference. Oh ya I’m writing this while sitting on the toilet again.

This place is a pleasant surprise as far as White Spots go. I generally don't like White Spot, but the staff here are very friendly and provide good service even though the place is usually very busy. The food is actually quite good. I assumed that food from one spot to another is pretty much the same, but I've tried several dishes at the Courtenay location and been quite happy with the meal. Then tried the same dish at another location and been disappointed. Burgers, pasta and salads are all great, and of course they have a great option for kids (pirate packs) which are reasonably priced. Worth a try even if you aren't a White Spot fan.

I ordered thru Skip the Dishes and this is the 2nd time my order showed up missing food. Manager on duty was snarky and less than helpful. I will not be ordering ever again from Whitespot due to... 1. Missing food 2. Cold food 3. Poor management customer service.

We said we would be there in a minute and she was ugh alright. The hostest was very rude and made us wait while she unloaded the dishwasher. It was so busy as we were the only customers in the place. We ate and left before 10. I was not impressed with the rudeness. The food was and always is great!

$21 turkey dinner fail. For the most part I like White Spot, Friday's service was great as they do a good job at staffing are are well organized. But the turkey dinner was total crash grab. The food came out in 4 minutes flat just slopped on the plate. Although the white beets, mash and gravy were tasty, the meat was so over-brined that it barely tasted like turkey My friend couldn't even finish it. Normally I'm not too picky about restaurant food but I was totally disappointed by this meal.

I don't recommend the curb-side pick-up. On at least two occasions I've showed up at the pick-up time, clicked the button in the email to indicate that I had arrived, waited 10 minutes, then gone into the restaurant and picked it up myself. Nobody's paying attention. Your food is just getting cold.

We had lunch today with seven people including a 100 year old mother. From the host who took our name to our server we couldn’t have been happier with the pleasant people who worked with us. Drinks, food and service were all very good especially as the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately the one thing that we found unpleasant was a table of five close to us with two children who were totally engrossed in their tablets playing YouTube videos loud enough to disturb our conversation. I think that your restaurant should enforce headphones if families bring these devices to entertain their children. The level of noise was disruptive.

The service was good however the server did not notice that one in our party did not have silverware but brought it promptly when told. We never did get the extra napkins she told us she was going to bring though. The blueberry pie special was a real good deal, and delicious!

Ordered two clubhouses through skip for me and my girlfriend and they totally forgot bacon in our sandwiches.......bacon...that's like such a huge part to a club house, anyways also having chunks of bread on my sandwich missing, as almost someone took a bite out of it before putting it in, also was missing 2 drinks of a cost of $6 and our side of gravy was no where to be found, such a fail for dinner, have not been impressed with the quality of food, if your looking for a quality meal don't come here, two thumbs down Boooooooo

Horrible food, ordered multiple things, and was missing items that went with all, don't get the brussel sprouts as they aren't cooked at all and taste fowl. Don't get fish and chips either, fish is horribly small for what you pay and saturated in grease

Clean restaurant, drinks come quickly but food is VERY SLOW! Don't come here if your kids are hungry or you are in a hurry! Staff are very friendly but the wait for food to come out is unacceptable. Over 30 minutes for fish and chips. Luckily the serving staff are Incredibly Friendly.

Pleasant and accommodating. The food was exactly as you would expect from a White Spot. The service was friendly and efficient. Very hard working staff. I would recommend reservations as it was quite busy and the waiting area was quite full.
