It may have just been a bad meal, but I'm very hesitant to go back here and try again. My butternut squash ravioli was filled with undercooked cubes of unseasoned squash... bizarre. Service was slow and inattentive (it took 20 minutes to get to our table, on a quiet night, even with a reservation), staff were rude, and didn't seem to know anything (e.g., couldn't tell us what wine they had beyond saying they had red and white). Dim lighting helped conceal a grubby wineglass with lipstick marks on it. Not at all what I expected, based on their reputation.

We have shared many an Anniversary at this outstanding 5 star restaurant. Small, quaint, cozy and a limited menu of local flavours. This was our 37th and there will be many more. Make a reservation during weekends and the tourist season. They offer Tableau De Hote menu which is always exciting.

It was my birthday dinner. Had the snapper special with ginger prawns. It was amazing and portion size was large. Orange chocolate mousse was an awesome finish to a superb dinner.

We ordered takeout . It was excellent. We find that takeout from most restaurants, is often less desirable then eating in. The food is not hot enough or it is soggy. This meal had all the bells and whistles and was perfect. We will continue to dine in, but this meal was fantastic if you are too tired to get spruced up.

Delicious food with a good selection of appetizers and mains including seafood, pastas and schnitzels. Several wines sold by the glass although the brand of that wine is not listed. Several beers but only a couple are craft beers plus a list of cocktails. We waited a long time to be seated and given menus when the majority of tables were empty but once seated our server was pleasant and happy to answer questions about the dishes. The seating was comfortable with the music current and at a good background level so as to not interfere with conversation. The over all ambience appears dull due to poor dimmed overhead lighting which doesn't do the space or the great food justice (no on table lamps or candles for the small tables, no lights over the bar, no lights in the entranceway and coat area). There is parking across the street in a public lot as well as on 6th street.

Menu is largely focussed on seafood and pasta. Service was slow -- with only three tables filled, the staff still seemed very pressed, and we stood and waited for almost five minutes for someone to seat us. We then waited some more time for drink order, then more time for food order. Complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch. Mains took a long time to arrive. They were good but not spectacular. Lighting is very flat and dim. Decor is dull. Room was quiet, and music was good. Staff didn't smile a lot. Pros: Good but not great food. Good music. Cons: Slow service, staff seemed occupied, decor and lighting are dull.

Great food. I always have the bisque, which is expertly prepared. They have a nice collection of wine to complement the food and the service is excellent. Always a treat to come here.

It was excellent food but not a big portion for hungry men! I got one new potato. Everything was tasty and well done and for a small woman I left feeling fine. My husband was still hungry. Excellent service, atmosphere cosy and romantic.

In short, a winner. Not a fancy interior but judging from the demand for seating from a pretty sophisticated looking group of guests, we shouldn't have been surprised to be served some extraordinary food. A very competent chef of course plus a more than adequate wine list combined for a great dining experience, especially for NOT skyhigh prices. Great food for great value. Go.

In the new Cliffe Ave location. The decor is fine, except they should of painted the drop ceiling tiles. They take away from the overall atmosphere The food was awesome. They had about 4 different seafood entrees. I went for the stuffed sole. My date went for the salmon. Both were tasty. Waiter was attentive but not overly so. Wine selection, while not large was adequate. I noticed when tables are cleared for next patrons, new table clothes, upper and lower were replaced. 1 glass of wine, 1 appy, 2 entrees, 2 dessert, $90. I will be back

Lovely small selection, with interesting daily specials. REAL HOLLANDAISE SAUCE, not poured from a bottle. I had the prawns stuffed with escargot. 'To die for.' My friend had one of the daily seafood specials. We loved it so much that I'm coming back this week with a party of 6! This chef is imaginative and clearly, the kitchen is skilled. I find most high-end restaurants in the Valley have a certain same-ness in their menus. Not Bisque! Hope they will survive through this difficult period after moving and continue to tickle our taste buds for a long time.

I can confirm all the positive reviews, the food is delicious and the service absolutely on point - so friendly and helpful! In our group of 3, two had a salmon fillet that was (close to) perfection, I had crab ravioli which were just fantastic. The drinks menu won't disappoint you either - my hint: visit this gem.
