I just ordered two large pizzas from Pendeli's for the first time on a Sunday night and they delivered within 30 minutes! I'm sure it can get quite busy and there may be longer waits at times, but in this case, we got a speedy delivery and warm pizza! The all dressed is very tasty and loaded with toppings. Both the man I spoke to on the phone when I ordered and the delivery guy were super friendly. 5/5, we'll definitely order from Pendeli's again!

Love this pizza except tonight I had to wait over an hour for a delivery. I asked the driver why and he said that he had to drive the chef home. My pizza was cold and coagulated. What can I say? I started going here over 50 years ago. I've lived all over the world and this remains my absolute favorite pizzeria. When you say "Montreal pizza" this is the shrine. In a city of amazing food, there's nothing I would rather eat then a Pendeli's all dressed. The secret ingredient? Love. For reals. They absolutely love their work and serving the community. I went back today to pick up a XL all dressed as I returned to live in the city. It tastes exactly the same as it always has. Perfection. I give it 10000/10 stars.

Took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive. We called after an hour and they said the pizza had left. Then we called back at an hour and 30 minutes and they said said it had just left. So they lied to us the first time. Didn’t even apologize for the long wait either. No pizza is worth such a long wait. Next time I’m ordering elsewhere

The wait is long, but it's worth it, from the guy who takes my order to the delivery, they are sooo nice. Their pizza and garlic bread are absolutely delish, their prices are reasonable but they don't take interact. I tried them once back in November 2018 and I have been a customer ever since. I spoke to the manager about their unhealthy cash-only policy and he did not want to listen, kept interupting me. Forcing customers to use cash which carries a lot of bateria and during a pandemic is highly irresponsible! Save your money and give it to a conscieous local restaurant instead!

Pizza like it should be. Or used to be. It's not thin crust fancy stuff. It's full on pizza heaven. The dough ball in the center that my kids like to fight over. Heaps of great ingredients and a full crust to die for. One of the best vegetarian pizzas as well. Subs are fantastic as well. If you are in NDG I highly recommend this place.

I tried Pendeli's pizza last year but I'm reviewing it today for a particular reason. First the pizza is fantastic.. Classic, massive, cheezy, stacked and filling. Can't compare it to traditional brands (dominos/pizza pizza) for a relatively affordable price. I went yesterday and i was shocked. It looked like a bathroom from the 80s, smelled gas, not very clean and... No menu. The only sign was "cash only" witch to this day is not very acceptable. I greeted the employee and left Disappointed. But it's a must try!! (after a trip to the ATM :p)

Absolutely not edible. Came in a box that was POOLING with grease (and leaked into our car) The whole dough was covered in grease and wet /soggy from it. We both could not stomach finishing our first slices. Disgusting. 40 $ for a pie that was more of a soup. Heard great things but I will never come back there.

I've had pizza from just about everywhere, but no one beats Pendelli's. Every year I come back to Montreal for the holidays and every year I bring back a few all-dressed to Vancouver for other former Montrealers. As I put my carry-on through the scanner at YUL, the security guard asks what's in my bag. I say "Pendelli's" and they nod knowingly and let me through. They know. They get it.

Pretty much the worst customer service I've ever encountered on the phone for a pizza place. It's almost like they just don't want to take your order. They're cranky, rude and eager to hang up. However, the pizza is fantastic. The pepperoni is sliced on a diagonal bias so it is in long thick, quarter spiral tranches and incredibly rich, fatty and delicious. Very much a family favourite and I'm more than willing to put up with the cranky old timers who run the place. Part of the character I guess.

What pizza used to be and should be you'll find it here in Pendeli . the dough is fresh and made by hands in the restaurant. Toppings are generous which you won't find in most pizzeria. Our party of four (including two vegetarians) ordered on 12/04/2021 a vegetarian and a pepperoni pizza for "pick-up" and discovered two pepperoni pizzas in the "taped shut" boxes, upon arriving at home. Believing a cordial phone call would result in Pendeli's correcting their mistake with a home-delivered vegetarian pizza (after all they do deliver), we telephoned Pendeli's. The woman who answered the phone adamantly said they would not correct their mistake and deliver to us the pizza we had in fact ordered. We could only ourselves interrupt our celebration, spend more time and more gas money to come to Pendeli's with the pizzas we did get, in order to correct their error. This woman repeated her demands three times and she banged the phone down on us rudely. No apology and no attempt to reasonably compensate from Pendeli's representative! Think twice before ordering from Pendeli's and if you do, have your "taped" boxes opened and verified before you leave the restaurant! You don't want the disappointment and then nastiness that we all encountered.

Love this place! Their pizza has a unique taste. Always order a plain with fries and a root beer. They are super friendly and the place is well kept. They’ve been in business since 1958. Great old style pizza and sub place - they have seating area - focus more on delivery - parking is a challenge at that place. Good food - by far the best Pendeli's location - ( there are 5 and they could have been a force in Montreal if they had decided to all work together - what a shame) When ordering Pizza -focus on the Pepperoni pizza - unique way to slice and cook it. If busy you can look at the Pizza guy at work. -Soon to be a lost art. No one counts the slices of pepperoni or anything at this place and its really good the next day right out of the fridge.

Don’t get fooled by the higher price, you’ll totally understand when you receive your pizza. It’s not a pizza for the faint hearted, the amount of garnish added makes one slice seem like ten. It’s à Montréal icon and you just have to try it once to be convinced they are the chalet bbq of pizza. You won’t be disappointed. Remember it’s cash only and the boys might be grumpy but it’s what gives this place its charm.

Waste of money. That's really unfortunate, as we were excited to try this place. We order a poutine, two pizzas (all dressed and pepperoni) and a doner plate. Everything was so bland and greasy, it was disheartening. The pizzas had a visible layer of oil underneath them. They felt undercooked: toppings came off. Between the all dressed and pepperoni, both had so much meat you couldn't distinguish one from the other. The ingredients are cheap. The cheese is plastic cheddar, the fries lack salt (on top of being visibly taken out from the freezer and not fried enough), the feta was dry, the doner was unsavory. Even a simple poutine was unimpressive, to say the least. They didn't bother to use grain cheese. When the best part of the dish is the accompanying plastic lettuce salad, there is something wrong with your dish. Will not order from there again.

It’s official... GIGI’s pizza in the West is the best pizza in Montreal. Although Pendeli’s make a good pizza, my family ordered from them on a Monday evening... they delivered 90 minutes later. Pizzas used to delivered in 30 minutes or less, these guys typically take 45 minutes. I’m ok with 45 minutes for a superior product, but when they don’t tell you when you order that they will take longer, I have a problem with professionalism. I can deal with the rude way they speak to you over the phone, but the lack of professional demeanour and not offering any discount nor apology for the severe delay... this is something I cannot stand by.

A refreshing change from the sterile, predictable pizzas coming out of the usual take out franchises. The charm of this place comes from the cooking staff, who are skilled artisans, not reduced to mere assembly line workers. You can tell that from the quality of the pizzas. Art takes time, so it tends to get busy during peak hours. But, it's worth it. They only take cash.

this has been my 3rd time in a few weeks. First pizza was great and 11$ with full topping. 2nd had a chicken pita which I wouldn't feed to my dog with soggy greasy fires and overpriced fronm the menu but said nothing. Today had the so called special of one pizza second half priced which was a lie as the bill came out to the same and the toppings were less and crus was dry and disgusting. Next they don't give a bill and only take cash. I think the government needs to look at this place and it will be my pleasure to help.

Pendelis pizza is second to none. It it the gold standard in my opinion. The soulvaki is ok. The doner was disappointing, It looked like spam and not real seasoned gyro meat.

It's been weeks you've been just eating salads and kale smoothies. One night, you crack. Maybe it's your cheat day, maybe you just can't take it anymore. You call the number, it rings just enough times for you to wonder if they'll even answer. Finally a deep throaty voice comes out of the phone: "...Pendeli's?", the voice says un-enthusiastically. He's embarrassed for you. Nevertheless you press on. "One large pepperoni pizza?" You say nervously. "That's all?" The man asks. He knows you're not done yet. "And a french fry. How long will it be?" "45 minutes to 1 hour." No big promises here. Finally it arrives. You pay the man, and take your greasy, guilty pleasure inside. The structural integrity of the pizza box has already been compromised by the colossal meal inside. The brown paper bag of french fries is translucent from the oily fries, looking as if at any moment it'll rip open, fries bursting out frantically like troops on the beach at the battle of Normandy. You open the pizza box and gaze at it's contents: Cheese as thick as the crust, pepperoni as thick as the cheese! One might call this a bread cheese and meat casserole instead of a pizza! When all is said and done, you sit there rubbing your belly, sipping your Pepsi, and telling yourself this was just a momentary lapse of will, but the Pendelli's man knows you'll be back again, and you know it too. 3.5/5

Fantastic pizza old fashion classic Crust, crispy and chewy. Love their pepperoni slices thin and natural tasting. Their poutine is pretty disgusting but then their not known for casse Croute menu , prices are competitive with other pizza joints, the delivery price menu is outdated , you should be paying about 2$ more per sized pizza.

Awesome, old school pizza with lots of toppings, a great crust (not too thick and doughy, but also not thin crust), cooked perfectly, and very well priced. Keep in mind, serving sizes of pizza is small - we found the medium was more in line with what we expected for a small, but priced accordingly. We ordered a medium pizza and a can of Sprite and it was under $20. Fast and courteous delivery.

Just witnessed the delivery guy speed down the WRONG side of the road at at least 60km/hr in a 30km zone just to pass other cars and cut back in front of a vehicle with little room to spare. Way to put others in danger and break every rule of the road!
