Cool vibe, well decorated, friendly staff and the fries were really good. I got the Sahara Burger (veggie) which tasted fine but just fell entirely apart when I tried to pick it up. It couldn't maintain any type of shape so I ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife.

Visited today for lunch with coworkers for a belated birthday meal. I ordered Seafood Bisque as a starter and the Breakfast Burger. The soup was a meal in itself. I ended up having to take the burger home. The Seafood Bisque was 10/10! Very creamy, and fulfilling. The Breakfast Burger was an 8/10. The menu listed as bacon on it, but mine came with ham. A quality burger nonetheless. I look forward to my next visit!

Service is very great every server comes with a smile and a greeting that lives up to my expectations on how your greeted. The food is excellent and I always enjoy coming here. I love there menu so many delicious items to choose from. For tonight I chose the Solid Gold Burger which I will show as a picture with you all of you. The atmosphere is very uplifting, the music is comfortable, and there is a lot of seating. The renovated the place as before I came here and they had chalk on the board which was painted on the wall showing what wines they had. They have nice decorations which are great for the decor of the place, and they have an outside place to sit for the nice days of course. It's handicap accessible, their bathrooms are nice. I haven't been in there since the remodel to judge.

Staff are doing their best but poorly trained, so service is friendly but slow and some things never arrive. Server unable to recall which beers are available, for example: “Coors, I think, and other stuff like that”. My beer came in a bottle, no glass. I asked for a glass. It never came. Ambiance is particularly noisy - which you might enjoy as lively if you’re in the mood. Sadly, this noise was produced by a singer who is unusually loud and harsh as well as out of tune. For us, kind of funny for a while, but then an unpleasant accompaniment to dinner. Their Caesar salsd is actually a larger restaurant side salad (with carrots, tomatoes and greens.) It was perfectly fine, but it was not a Caesar. The “seafood bisque” was tomato soup with some scallops. Edible, but the only distinct flavor was tomato. A standard beef burger was good, served with nice, piping hot fresh-cut fries. We asked for ketchup. It arrived only after a trip to the servers’ station to repeat the request. One real surprise: a “daily special” draft beer so unpleasant and sour that for the first time ever, I had to send back a beer. Overall, the experience wasn’t awful, but was slow unpleasant and frustrating. Don’t think I’ll be back soon.

Took the birthday girl out to one of her favorite restaurants. Got the chicken nachos as an appetizer. Melissa had the Mamma Mia burger, April Rose had the Surf N Turf burger, and I had the Duck burger with an amazing blueberry sauce! Never been disappointed here. Food was amazing and Rose got all the Truffle Mayo she could handle!

Ask for the owners. Want to have a metropolitan atmosphere? Pull up to the bar. Want to try a myriad of options under the "burger" category? This is for you. Are you interested in other fine dining options, ask the server about Table 21 (hint: it is the resto upstairs overlooking a main street in Cornwall). Same owners but a whole different kind of flare.

Great food! Good service although a bit slow. Would have given 5 Stars if the service had been faster. The restaurant was mostly empty and they seemed to have a full wait staff on. No idea were the kitchen situation was like, but given the front of house was fully staffed, I expected the kitchen to be at least adequately staffed, yet it took over 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Still left the server a good tip as it wasn't her fault.

A group of us from Ottawa headed to Truffles after finishing an Escape Room at the Cornwall Jail. The restaurant was recommended by the jail seeing that we were not from the town. We arrive and noticed that the two servers there were already upset to see us. It was busy but it wasn't wild. We asked to be seated outside if it was possible and after some frustrated deliberation between the two servers we were led outside. The patio was very cute but they could have done something about the cobwebs on the wall. In general the wait time was long for both drinks and food but our group let it slide because our server explained they had been short staffed for the past hour. We get it. It happens. The food and the drinks we ordered were very tasty but it was not matched up with the greatest service. Regardless if you are short staffed or not getting frustrated with customers can really taint their experience at your restaurant even if the food is delicious. One of the appetizers we ordered was not properly cooked so we kindly asked for it to be removed from the bill but our server made a fuss about how it was going to take a few minutes to remove the order from the bill. And when my boyfriend decided to take my bill she got frustrated and scrunched the bills together and yanked the door to go back inside to put the orders just on one bill. Our group was quiet and uncomfortable after that. It was generally a weird experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone headed to Cornwall. The two stars are for the meal and the cute little lights they had going on in the bushes. Sorry.

Burger was medium well (pink), server told me "It's sterling silver so it's okay"...that's not how it works. Ground meat in Canada must always be cooked to (160F - ie, no pink) as per health and safety standards. Plus it was beef and lamb. Had no flavour (missing seasoning), was very lean (dry), and had a mountain of tatziki. Fries soggy, lacking truffle - truffle mayo was truffle-ey though. Also, a drink menu that includes beer and cocktails would be awesome. I like to try new things and I'm not going to hold your server up for five minutes while I ask a bunch of questions about your drinks. Print off a piece of paper for rotating taps. Impressed with the attempt to gentrify Pitt Street, impressed with the burger selection and menu, less impressed with the execution.

We have been to other burger places in Montreal. Jukebox/ the Bell and the Boeuf/ Boeuf de grace. So we have decided to take a trip down to Cornwall, to check out truffle burgers bar.the decor is amazing in side, and the outdoor patio looked relaxing and inviting. We would have gave it 5stars. But the waitress was just okay. Did not bring the water first.?we had to ask, and on the menu it dosen't say what comes with the burgers. Other than that Everything was amazing.

The restaurant itself is absolutely incredible inside, very nice decor. Service was just alright. I'm a huge burger fan and I really have never been impressed by any of their burgers. There are at least two restaurants in town that don't specialize in burgers that serve a better burger. Not worth the cost but I believe everyone should try their burgers once and see for themselves.

Made a reservation for 3 on a Friday night for my husbands birthday. Upon arrival, they did not have my name but was able to be seated, at a dirty table. Was given 2 menus and was told a 3rd menú would be delivered right away along with our server. 20 min later, still waiting for both no drink orders were taken. I felt like we were invisible as servers walked by us continuously and other people were being served. We finally got a server who was very nice and apologetic, gave us our drinks on the house. By this time the mood all around was less than celebritary. Food was excellent, service at end was good but overall a very dissappointing birthday. Will we go back? Maybe

Best burgers ever in a modern setting. Features various meat burgers (elk, alligator, bison etc...) appear to have a good drink selection by looking at the bar but I did not verify. Fries were seasoned with garlic with a side of aioli. They were pretty good but might put off people who shy away from garlic. They also serve a choice of non beef burger sandwitches as well.

The burgers are pretty terrible. We had the BBQ beef and their bison burger. The patties were dry and overdone, and soaked in a very large amount of generic not very good sauce. Fries were soggy. All ingredients were fresh, but it did not taste good. It is also quite expensive.

I didn't get what I ordered and what I did get was bland and tasteless. Admittedly a vegetarian pallete in a burger bar is not best placed but no excuse for poor service when the order was wrong. Very disappointing I would not recommend.

Went here for a work event with 14 attendees on a Wednesday night. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was laid back and accommodative to our large group. Not just a ‘burger bar’; this place is fairly classy and had a surprisingly large menu of items to choose from. Several beers and wines to choose from and also some unique appetizers. The food was presented well and the portions were large enough for several of us to take leftovers afterwards. Finished off with great desserts and a coffee. Well done Truffles!

Not only does Truffles have the ONLY good burger in Canada, it is THE BEST burger in North America. I joke with buddies back in the States that Canada has laws against good burgers, mandating they torch your meat to oblivion. Because this place grinds their own fresh, it defies the laws of nature (or the Canadian Board of Health :) I’ve come three times in my travels, and every time is impressive. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and there’s a decent selection of local craft beers. Responding to the “local guide” who complained about a dry burger- that’s his fault for not ordering it exactly how he wanted it, or failing to speak up when it wasn’t to order. Oh well.

Hate to do it but I got really sick after eating here. No, not as you'd expect with undercooked foods or cross contamination but from germs. Ironically, at a time when protocols are set in place to prevent this sort of thing. I digress, my fiancée and I wanted to go for a nice celebratory meal and landed on Truffles because every other restaurant was booked up. I hadn't been since it opened. We got the works, cocktail, wine, oysters and steaks. I'm not going to delve into the nuances of every dish but overall it was good. I will say that her filet mignon's plate was very busy with the risotto and mashed potatoes and 5 other vegetables but that's neither here nor there. My gripe is with whatever compelled the bartender to come into work that night. She had the nastiest bronchial cough that could be heard throughout the restaurant. It was disgusting. Her mask would come down to talk to her co-workers and as I lay here in bed sick for the third day in a row, I can't get the thought of her seemingly giving our glasses of wine a sort of goodbye cough as she slid them over the bar to be picked up. I don't think we'll be going back.

Owner is nice waitresses are nice but the help in the kitchen need to learn how to clean dishes and the cooking area and not serve dirty food. Dom the female manager/owners wife is a snob who acts like a boss when all she does is drinknand smoke in the kitchen which explains the mess the kitchen is in. Esca has better food and an honest menu. The burgers aren't made of steak it is a pork mix and your lucky if they aren't brown before going on the grill. The potatoes are old by the time they are cut into fries which the fry press hardly is cleaned. They use bleach to clean dishes instead of food safe sterilizer. Sure they have a nice menu but most of it is overpriced severely, and the dining area is dingy looking from lack of care.

Drove up from Montreal after a friend recommended it to me. Food was fantastic but the server (I think her name was Catherine) was clearly wasted. She kept slurring her words and forgot that she took our order and came back twice to take it…. I truly feel for the restaurant industry right now but that was probably the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. Do not avoid this place because the food is incredible but service needs to improve

We tried Truffles Burger Bar today on a road trip to Cornwall and it was outstanding! We got takeout and the service was exceptional. I had the elk burger and the quality was one of the best burgers I've ever had. We also had the Greek burger and boar burger and no complaints all around. Impressed with the amount of cheese and quality of fries! Will definitely come back again!

My husband and I have been wanting to try Truffles for a while, and totally we finally did it. We were pleasantly surprised at the chic modern decor and quiet atmosphere. I had the Buffalo burger and he went with the Cajun. Both meals were absolutely delicious, very filling and were served in record time. We were in and out in 30 mins. The staff was friendly and attentive but not overly so. Great first experience; we will definitely return!

Celiacs and gluten intolerant customers stay away! We made a gluten free (gf) order. We deliberately talked and ordered the gf pizza and gf hamburger bun. The man on the phone went as far as to explain how all burgers can be made with gluten free buns: Portobello mushroom buns or gf buns. Well someone from Truffles Burger neglected our order and gave us regular wheat bread. We ate the food in the car and my partner has vomited seven times since returning home. We switched the fries out for a salad and we're surprised by a $7 charge for a house salad that came with croutons and what looked identical to a Kraft Ranch Salad Dressing. The veg pizza was soggy in the middle and stuck to the paper it was served on. A ruined night.

Spent new year's eve here and absolutely enjoyed it. Their Italian dishes are definitely a must try for those who love Bolognese and linguine Sonomas. Also having red wine and their chocolate coconut martini here was an absolute delight.

My wife and I went for supper, she ordered the Texas burger and I had the giant beef burger. And had the Nacho's as a starter...Wow my burger was hot that is a first for us getting a hot burger in a restaurant. Service was amazing, took some time for our food however it was well worth the wait! Highly recommend to try out this burger joint. We will try this place again...oh ya Nacho's....fabulous!

I really enjoyed my food here but felt a bit cheated price wise, it was too expensive for what we got, I was expecting a gastronomic burger and got a very average burger. For 27$ burger and poutine! Our waitress was nice but one of the staff seemed upset she was stomping and looked very angry it was a bit unpleasant to have to endure her angryness. The ambiance besides the above mention factor was great, loved the design of the place and the music was awesome. I would have liked the place more if the price reflected what I got served, while it was good it is what it is...

Visiting from Montreal seemed like a decent place to eat from the reviews, called to reserve but didn't need it for three people on a Sunday evening at 6:00pm hmmm. We went got seated took 20 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink, and there were a total of 5 people in the restaurant, so we ordered our food at the same time. Ordered Nachos and two breakfast burgers and the Spanish burger. Took 30 mins for the nachos and there were very soggy covered in salsa not great. The burgers came with fries and we asked for regular mayo. The mayo was garlic mayo and omg the amount of garlic was over bearing couldn't eat it. My wife broke her tooth on her burger not sure on what though, my daughter was sick after hers and mine I didn't finish let's just say we will not go back.

Ive always heard good things about this place, I had friends come down from Ottawa to join us for supper and picked Truffles for dinner. I actually felt bad for the servers, they seemed very under staff. My girlfriend is the one who got the knives and forks for the table, had to find an employee for water and the food (we all ordered hamburgers) too approx 45 mins. The food tasted great but the staff needed more support. The table ended up laughing as we realised every employee missing from the floor.

This was my first time at Truffles and I can honestly say that was one of the greatest meals I’ve ever had!! The drinks were also pretty good and I loved the decor ❤️ The only reason I didn’t rate this place 5 stars was because my server was not good. First off, I thought this was fine dining but my server was wearing a simpsons shirt and short shorts??? I get we’re in Cornwall but the rest of the staff looked professional?! Secondly, she was pretty slow with taking our orders and was not attentive to our table at all. I also asked a few questions about the menu and her attitude was pretty condescending. I will be back because of the amazing food but hoping the service improves!

Very nice burger bistro. We did not try the pizzas, but the selection of burger variations on the menu was impressive, there is something for all tastes, including vegetarian/vegan burgers too. The blue crab burger had a large patty made of real crab meat - not processed & compressed fish. Home fries were perfectly cooked. A nice selection of local artisanal beers on tap completed a very nice meal. Note that the portions are large, think twice before ordering sides. No kids menu, but several sides make for good child-sized portions. We will certainly return.

I have never been there before... Absolutely amazing place to eat. Their menu choices are so very unique. I can't wait to go back. The service was awesome. Deedra Lord was our server, not Only did she have amazing energy during the service of her tables, I also noticed she was also very helpful in aiding her co-workers, taking time to go put of her way to assist them. The servers that I saw and talked too were very professional, smiling and interacting with sincerity... Yes.. Back to the food... They had many gluten free options as well as many many meat choices. I was suprised I didn't see a groundhog burger! The sweet potato fries and regular fries were amazing! I tried their Cajun dip as well as their basil Mayo! Wow! A friend let me Try her parmesan cheese/truffle oil fries! Double wow! I had gluten free chocolate chunk cake.. Amazing desert menu! Lots of cheese cake... Since opening a new shop in the Cornwall Square I've begun my gastronomical explorations in the downtown area, it's convenient and there are so many places to explore. So Saturday evening I found myself setting down for dinner at the upscale Truffles Burger Bar. My first impression upon walking in was appreciation for the slick lighting, blue lighting behind the bar with staggered wine bottles decorating the wall like in a W.C Fields dream illustrated by M.C. Escher. It was glowing but not overly bright and hit the right note for casual dining. Upon perusal of the menu I could see several items that enticed me, but I settled on the Kangaroo burger with horseradish because... where else can i find that?! Upgraded my side order to a sweet potato fries with aioli side sauce. Take that with a gin and juice and I was really starting to enjoy myself. The soundtrack was taking me through the 70s to 90s and all was right with the world. The plate arrived promptly, and it was a pretty picture. Started with the fries which were well cut, large fries, my favorite, nicely spiced crunchy and delicious, especially irresistible with the aioli sauce. Then I bit into the burger, which was very tasty... kangaroo, what can I say... interesting. A bit tougher than beef, but quite delicious and nicely complimented with the house dressing of horseradish, lettuce and onion. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening, the staff were friendly and best of all it's just around the corner from my new shop so I will certainly be back to try the bison and the truffle burger. So happy to see people eating out again, felt like life returning to the world.

I just don't understand why servers don't write down what you order...I asked for gluten free bun... and got a regular bun..then they tried to say it was GF... ummmmm no! I had the GF bun there before... completely not the same.. left 1/2 there couldn't eat it... no one cared....oh well...

Why go to a fast food restaurant when you can get a hamburger and fries here for almost the same price. For as long as they're open. they have my business.

Sounds like someone below is sour "Absolutely horrific service, waited 40 minutes to even have a server come take our drink order. Avoid this place at all costs" Not sure what this guys problem is, I was there with friends and the place was packed, our waitress was fairly new and explained that the bar and the kitchen were backed up a bit but everyone was doing the best they could. One table had a very friendly guide / therapy dog , very quite and the dog was not disturbing anyone, its nice to see almost everyone in acceptance of this and no discrimination by most of the patrons on the patio. One table did seem to have an issue with the dog being on the patio, i guess then perhaps if they want to discriminate against persons that need guide / therapy dogs they should just stay home. Our drinks arrived in a timely fashion ( the patio was PACKED) and our food order arrived with in a more than reasonable time after the server took our order. The food was awesome and the service was even better. 10 out of 10. we will for sure be back!!!!!

I visited this Establishment for a wedding reception and although it was busy I was not impressed with the service. Our drinks took an extremely long time to arrive at our table and it was like pulling teeth to even get a glass of water. They didn't offer ice in the water making the drinks far from cold. They provided us with a dessert menu and only to find out after ordering that it wasn't part of the wedding menu and the cost was left out and I ended up paying $10 for a slice of cake which was sub par at best

The menu is exciting but the food is only ok. I’ve been twice now and both times my burger was dry and over cooked. If this wasn’t a “fancy burger” place I’d give it a 4 star but for the prices and the title my expectations are higher of Truffles. The dining room is fabulous and the staff are very friendly. There is also a decent selection of craft beer on tap.

Love Truffles food! I like that they have a wide array of mayos to choose from for your fries. So many burger options to choose from, it’s almost overwhelming! But worth it. I’ve tried their lunch menu deals a couple of times for dine-in, very much worth the price! Also the waiters/waitresses are always very friendly. If you like different types of burgers - not your fast food kind of burger, I recommend. Can’t speak about much more of the other foods, I’m still trying different options each time I go!

Had a great experience at Trffules tonight for our 44th Wedding Anniversary. Hubby and I had amazing Lamb burgers, grandkids had popcorn Chicken and Shirley Temples, son and girlfriend had buffalo burgers. Great time had by all. Great place for families too.

Cool atmosphere, and lots of interesting and different options for both vegetarian and meat lovers. The food quality was excellent, and the portion size was good as well. The quality service was on par with the food and overall it's definitely a place I'd recommend. The location is on a downtown street but there is tons of free parking around including a mall parking structure. You can tell the owners of this establishment have put in a lot of thought and pride into this business and executed it perfectly. Its well worth the detour if your travelling across the 401-go get some real food!

Super nice place with excellent food. However some items prices are not justified. Changing your fries for a garden salad will cost you an additional $6. Tiny portion with 2 chunks of tomatoes 3 slices of cucumber and shredded carrots. This is over ridiculous and I won't coming back.

I often have dreams about Truffle's truffle fries, and usually go there just for them. But, they have an excellent menu outside of fries. Their burgers are unique, and their chicken wings are some of the biggest I've seen! They're also super tasty! (I recommend the honey garlic) the only thing about Truffle's that makes me sad is that they don't deliver!

This is a must try restaurant in Cornwall. When I have out of town friends this is one of my faves. They normally have a special of the day. Love pork, brie, Apple burger, the lentil burger, cilantro dipping sauce, plantain chips with honey drizzle, and their ribs. They have a cute but tiny patio, in summer and sometimes have entertainment. I highly recommend.

First off, I can't give this restaurant enough stars. With all the social media fanfare surrounding this location, I though it couldn't be that good - well it's not good, IT'S SUPERB! Exceeded my expectations on all accounts. I loved my burger, my only complaint being they are two hours away from my hometown, but that just a great reason for a road trip! The sweet potato fries were good, mac and cheese was okay at best, but the burgers were just awful. There's no way you can call it a Burger Bar and charge almost $20 a plate just to serve dried-up patties. No amount of sauce could've saved these over cooked burgers.

The location is right downtown. Its a pretty looking venue too (both outside or inside). We had some spicy wings to start with, that were really average quality and barely spicy... Then we ordered two burgers: Cajun burger and Beyond Meat guacamole. The burgers were pretty yummy and well cooked. But the fries were a disaster: soggy and not crispy at all.

First Time visit.. by myself.. was interested in getting a good burger.. not just a burger with good toppings.. but actually tasty beef.. That was a FAIL.. using far to lean beef and wasn't seasoned enough to help if at all.. I don't usually add salt to my food.. but wow really needed to with each bite almost.. had what they call GIANT burger.. 100% yup it was giant.. must of been near a pound of meat.. and far bigger than the bun.. I like that.. bacon was little under cooked for my taste.. i like little more crisp.. but it was ok.. I'd ask for crispy bacon if getting some again.. the burger was listed as mushroom, cheese and bacon.. but also had tomato, onion and lettuce, I prefer fresh onion.. they had what looked like pickled onions I found them flavorless or bland.. cheese was real cheddar.. bonus.. fries were ok.. person beside me had sweet potato fries said their were crispy.. mine were not so much.. almost there... but no where near good chip truck fries.. why can't a restaurant make decent fries?? I had dirty Martini.. perfect.. and order of Zucchini app was nice.. not seasoned.. and weird they served them with mayo and sour cream.. neither with flavor, they were not from a bag.. so kudos.. and hence the reason for 4 stars.. over all good value.. burger was huge.. I'd take a smaller burger.. if they used better.. (regular ground chuck and seasoned before cooking) all a little grease to the burger to give it flavor.. this is hard to find these days.. there are a few still understand and make decent burgers.. but they are far and few :-(
