Ate there after they first opened and the food was amazing. Unfortunately customer service is a zero. Two incidents while trying to make reservations. Firstly we tried to make reservations on New Years eve. The online reservation setup was a nightmare. Constantly sending us on a wild goose chase to confirm. In the end I decided to call directly to make reservations. I was then told by the owner I can only make a reservation online. I guess in today's age speaking to a human to acomplish a task is not practical. Needless to say we went elsewhere for New Years. We decided to give it a second go for valentines. We did all the proper procedure as per request. There was still some confusion and instead of our 7pm reservation which had been confirmed for 4 people it was changed to an 8pm reservation. We had in writing requested upstairs which we also had confirmed. When we arrived they were only expecting two people and they only had a table downstairs. When we spoke to the owner he was rude and disrespectful. We were told he couldn't guarantee a table. Im pretty sure thats what reservations are for. That's it for us for Edward's bistro. We went to schnitzels and had a fantastic evening. Thank you very much. If you wish to keep your customers perhaps you should think about matching your customer service to the care and quality you put into your food!!

My family and I come here quite often for affordable delicious food, but today i felt embarrassed because Jason told me angrily that, I’m not giving a tip and should always give a tip. I ask his wife if it is mandatory to give a tip and she said no. It would’ve been nice if he asked nicely. And mind you, our waiting time is longer than our eating time which we don’t mind at first but being rude is not acceptable. To the people of cornwall if you don’t have money for Tip don’t eat at Edwards Bistro. There are other restaurants who can accommodate us with good service and food.

Top Level Food, Low Level Prices! The owners are very friendly, wonderful people. Try the Chicken Cordon Bleu or any dish with candied bacon on it. Also fries with homemade ketchup :)

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. My moms hamburger was hard as a rock and tasted sour, she ordered it without onions and bacon and it arrived with onions and bacon, the fries were burnt, my salmon was over cooked, the hollandaise sauce was too thick and curdled and the vegetables were barely cooked and not seasoned. The space doesn’t have proper ventilation and was a smoke den by the time we left. The bathroom was filthy. I’m not sure where he trained to be a chef but the food was far from perfect and just because it was home cooked doesn’t mean it’s fresh.

Wonderful new bistro with a great brunch menu, fresh ingredients and large gourmet portions at an affordable price. The chef makes everything from scratch, including the ketchup! I’ve been there twice for breakfast. You get free coffee refills. She makes a lovely berry spree for the croissants. Everything looks amazing. The bacon is baked in the oven with maple syrup and the sausage patty is quite lean. They get their eggs from local farmers. The only small suggestion I would make is to have a sides menu for toast and home fries. Great place to take your friends or relatives. The bistro has a nice jazzy music in the background and I appreciated the lovely art on the walls.

I've ordered from here a few times and ate in once, and every single time it's been amazing! The beet salad is my new favourite salad, and the poutine is some of the best I've ever had. You can taste that they use a meat based gravy, and it makes all the difference in the world. They also don't skimp on portions, and Rosie's spring rolls are to die for! Love you Edward's Bistro!

Enjoyed the grilled cheese with fresh cut fries. Real cheddar melted perfectly with fresh tomato slices and amazing candies bacon all panini'd between fresh baked baguette...SO good. The fries were really good and I was pleased when the owner offered me homemade ketchup...yum. My friend had the same sandwich, but went with the homemade carrot soup. She got up to find me a spoon so I could try it, it was that good...not what you expect, it's better! Took 2 slices of their cakes for home consumption...WOW... pumpkin cheesecake with candied pecans and chocolate mousse cake I highly recommend...both so delicious but compliments to the Baker who achieved that chocolate flavour!!!! Outstanding.n This is a must try. Thanks for being in Cornwall, keep it up!

Saturday nights here are a 3 course menu with several options, many of which look phenomenonal! It'll run you around $50 a person with a drink, but the place is nice, and at least on the night I was there, a favorite for senior citizens

Cook/owner was horrible to the other employees in front of customers. It was unacceptable. Very toxic work place. Response to owner comment - Unfortunately you have me mistaken for someone else. I didn't stay or eat at your facility and I won't ever after I saw how you treated your employees. I left because I don't support business that function this way. Your response to this is unfortunate and if someone came in to your restaurant and move anything a good course of action would be to politely education them on the new protocols like every other establishments had been doing so. People would respect your policies especially during covid.

1. Out of home fries. 2. Out of sausages. 3. Had to get our own water because the waiter forgot. 4. Asked for no croissant with the meal because my girlfriend has a gluten allergy, but they put one on the plate anyway. 5. The paper wrapper on the cheese was not removed before my omelet was cooked (picture below). We weren't even offered the dish for free. 6. 1 hour between sitting down and being served.

What a hidden gem! We stopped by here on our way to Montreal and was so glad we did. Service is amazing, food is unreal! Everything tastes and feels homemade, you can feel the love put into the food. Great value at the price point as well. Would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.

My friend and I have been pretty much regulars since finding the gem of a restaurant in downtown Cornwall Ontario. The owners Jason and Rosie give you a very welcoming and homey feel when visiting.The food for the price is mind blowing reasonably priced. Every dish I've tried so far has been a experience to my taste buds Recently I tried a pulled pork sandwich and before this I wasn't much of a pulled pork fan. Well let me just tell you this Jason has now turned me into a fan. I also had the beet salad ????.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here last September. We drove all the way from Montreal and left a bit disappointed. Although the service greatly improved, our meals lacked flavor, my spring rolls were very salty, and my pasta dish had tasteless watery sauce. My boyfriend's Texas ribs dish BBQ sauce was similarly watery and tasteless. Weird for Edward's Bistro....

Just had dinner with my wife at Edwards Bistro for the first time. We both had the prime rib with scalloped potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. The food was fantastic! Fresh, flavourful and all in a nice atmosphere. Just found our new favourite place.

One of the finest breakfast's I've ever had. And I mean that. Everything was cooked to perfection. The server was so friendly and nice and caring. Please give it a try. You will not regret it. I guarantee it. Next up will be lunch or supper which is apparently even better than breakfast, which is hard to believe.

Food is amazing! All fresh and delicious ingredients from the sauce to the veggies. Its amazing how reasonable the prices are. Portions were just right. The decor and menu are both unique. The service was good. Nice thing about the ambience is there was music playing and candles on the table. Cant wait to try the prime rib. Only downside was they had to substitute an ingredient in each dish but gave good alternatives at least.

My film crew and I ate here for lunch for 3 days while filming in Cornwall. The service was amazing, the meals were always hot and delicious. The owners take such pride in their food and make their bread fresh in house, use ingredients from their garden. It was a great place to eat, thank you so much for having us.

We ordered our New Year’s Eve meal from Edward’s Bistro. The food was absolutely delicious despite being delivered to our home. We generally go out but this was a real treat and the price was more than reasonable. Appetizers were ample and the main course was more than we could eat. We saved our awesome desserts for the next day. We will definitely order again.

Lovely family restaurant in downtown Cornwall is a "must visit" place. Almost everything served there is home made, including the ketchup, jam, buns, pastrami, desserts, etc. Good-sized portions of dishes made with a twist are priced extremely well and the service is friendly and personal. Jason and Rosie will treat you very well. p.s. try the lemon cheesecake.....it's awesome!

Went to Edward's Bistro. Not a great experience . Can't say service was bad. Just. No service. Sat for a while. Waitress made at least 3 trips to our section.. . After providing menus . Cleared a table. Took a payment. Unless we were invisible ... We just walked out. Too bad. Guess we won't bother going back. Even if prices looked good. Give your customers acknowledgement ...at least. And...no...not busy.. We are pretty darn good tippers, too. .

Ordered take-out from Edward's Bistro for the first time today and could immediately tell this was a family-owned and operated establishment. Due to an error on their part, my order wasn't ready by the pickup time. The owners were honest and apologetic about this hiccup, and quickly made my order their top priority. They even included complimentary ice cream as a token of thanks for my patience. The food was delicious and well-priced. I can't say enough good things about the (homemade!) mocha almond ice cream. You can tell these hard-working folks take pride in their work. We will definitely be back! Support local!

Owners are so nice Jason and his wife Rosie she is Filipino and so sweet. We decided to stop I'm and give this little gem a try and my gosh they sure as heck did not disappoint. All foods are homemade right down to their breads and desserts wich are phenomenal. We had the special I cannot remember the name of it but their were noodles and huge shrimp rose sauce mussels came with garlic bread $40 which was very reasonable considering the foods. We than went back the following Sunday he had the same my friend as the last time I had the steak which was cooked the way a steak should be cooked. So tender melt in your mouth it was served with eggs over easy with a beshemel sauce.

Almost ran into Rosie at the door while she was looking after her guests. A. Full Covid proctected house. Great to be back after our last time on Valentine's day. Have been to Edward's Bistro twice for breakfast now. Very impressed by the service and quality of food. Have had the eggs benny with bacon (twice; some things never change). Delicious and plated beautifully. You must serve your coffee yourself, but it's really no big deal. Will certainly return. Owners are very friendly, and I recommend supporting this local business.

Bravo Bravo to Edward's Bistro! My Husband and l have wanted to go here for the longest time but never had the chance. Tonight we went and from the moment we walked in with the live music of Mr. Cote the decor the atmosphere was a delight. The menu choice was excellent as my Husband said the food was magnificent from start to finish so fresh and the flavor was so delicious! Probably the best place to eat in Cornwall I have been there with various groups four times for lunch and dinner and the meals have always been excellent. Highly recommended - the place deserves a five-star rating, no question! The only possible issue I have is that their hours seem to be somewhat inconsistent. Probably best to call ahead.

We looked at the menu online before leaving home. knowing what we wanted. get there and it's not on their menu. we got the steak but I don't think it was the same as on the online menu .plus it was 3.00 more.my husband didn't look at the bill till after he paid.if I would of seen the bill I would of said something.the waiter was off.said it was his second day, not sure if ever, or only this restaurant. dessert was fantastic as usual. they really have to have 1 menu that is both online and in restaurant and same price on both. im still debating if we will be back.

First time in the restaurant, spouse ordered eggs benedict with steak, you couldn't even cut the steak with the knife, not a nice piece at all. The chef told us 3 of the staff members took a bite from the meat, they must of had a butcher knife. They did not reverse any cost or meet us half way but they did give us a return brunch voucher. We are not from the city, big disappointment .

Ordered the Table d'hôte for my parents for Mother's day. Seeing that I live in Laval Quebec and my parents live in Cornwall; I wanted to do something special even though we are dealing with a pandemic. Found this restaurant online and saw the excellent reviews. Decided to take a chance! My parents could not rave enough about the food. I ordered beef Bourgignon (my mom said the most tender beef she ever had), chicken Cordon Bleu (also out of this world). Desserts were carrot cake and sugar pie and again they raved about the desserts. Thank you so much for making this holiday special!! My parents have now discovered a new restaurant to eat at. I can't wait until this is over and I too can try your wonderful dishes. Will be visiting your restaurant in the very near future. Stay well, stay positive!

Food was excellent! Felt bad for our server. The owner was very gruff with him and seemed very grumpy all around. Even on the phone with me concerning our reservation. Treat people kindly, it's much more productive. Questioning now if I want to go back. P.S. It had nothing to do with our seating arrangements nor with the Covid, 6 people are allowed per table as of Friday Nov.6th. It was about your treatment to staff and attitude towards customers.
