The food here is great. Something for everyone on the menu. I will say i wish the dining room was more private, you can hear just about every conversation going on. Once the food comes the talking stops quickly as everyone seems to devour their plates.

The spaghetti and meatballs are labeled as Gluten free but the meatballs have gluten in them. Gluten labeling fail and was disappointed they couldn't do it gluten free by making meatballs for it. You can get gluten free noodles.

Their pasta is great actually, if they stopped drowning it in white sauce. My seafood ravioli was good. The tiramisu wss a bit sour.

Had a birthday party and were seated in the basement. Lights went out. No heat. Food was cold. And went offered a discount for the trouble. They didn't even reply to it email. I would not recommend this place to anyone

My Father and I went in to get me a gluten free pizza, and a regular pizza for him and my 91 year old Grandmother (who is VERY particular). We were all so impressed, I will definitely be back when I am back on the island. We also decided on a piece of gfree champagne cheesecake with fresh berries. The only odd thing was that the gfree didn’t have pizza sauce, I am not sure if it was an oversight or if the sauce may not have been gfree... either way we all inhaled our food! Impressed for sure!

Appreciate they have a gluten free menu. In general the food is average. the highlight is the pizza and beer on tap... both are very good. the biggest disappointment was the service. Our waitress seemed annoyed we even sat down. we did our best to work with her but honestly it ruined our experience.

Quite disappointed in this place. The server was very friendly but that was the only positive. The quality of the food was quite poor, a person could make better pasta with sauces from a grocery store. But the most disappointing part was the misleading menu, I was thrown off a little when I noticed that the "Tagliatelle Bolognese" noted a Rose sauce, when obviously it should be a bolognese sauce. I wasn't that hungry and given the prices I chose to order the spaghetti and meatball special which came with "marinara". The meatballs were hard and tasteless (likely had been frozen) and the sauce was a basic tomato sauce, not at all like marinara which should be rich and garlicky. My wife had pasta primavera which should have it's own type of sauce but yet it came with Alfredo or Marinara. My wife had marinara which was again the same tomato sauce. The main issue with thus dish was the menu indicated julienne vegetables but the vegetables were just in large chunks and thrown in on top. The previous ratings of this place led us to believe we were having a good quality Italian meal, and the prices seemed in line with that but we were very disappointed. This place really needs to up their quality or lower the prices, as it seems to mostly be a pizza place with some low quality pasta dishes.

Sorrento had a tempting menu and we ordered to go to our condo a delicious Lasagna, delectable Chicken Parmesan along with very fresh Salad La Shop! They have been a restaurant for a long time and when we visit Corner Brook we will enjoy Sorrento again!

Overall this isn't a horrible restaurant. I've had some decent experiences here. Unfortunately, everytime I have come here in the last few years it has been worse and worse. The drinks are expensive, the food quality is diminishing, and the service is AWOL. I would love to see this place turn around so I can come back and leave a better review.

We really enjoyed this place. The servers were friendly without being over bearing. Our food was fantastic and the portion sizes we great. The gourmet pizza's had plenty of flavour. We'll be back again the next time we're visiting Corner Brook.

Ordered the tetrazzini pizza, it tasted awful. Was nothing but a very thin pizza with mushroom sauce/grease and what were clearly the fake/cheap bacon bits. When I brought up the bacon bits the waiter got very defensive very quickly claiming that the crumble bacon is high quality and no cheap stuff is in the store. VERY obviously a lie. Family's food was bland and tasteless as well (lasagna and tetrazzini pasta). EXTREMELY overpriced and awful food.

The crust in their pizza was no where near what you would call Italian crust... but the toppings on the pesto pizza made up for it. I also was left disappointed with a meh at best ceasar especially seeing as I paid 1 dollar less for my drink than I did for my meal. Overall tho I'll probably be back atmosphere way very nice and the staff while very slow in between visits were tentative and polite.

Hard to review this place. I really thuroughly enjoyed the food, it was some of the best I had on the island. The service however was absolutely atrocious. There were 3 separate servers working who did nothing but talk to each other and stand behind the till. The wait for placing our order and to pay the bill was 3 times the wait for the actual food. New service would change my review for the better.

Ate here twice in one week! Food and service was amazing! Walled in the first time without reservations so opted to sit in the bar/lounge area. Same food, same great service! Smiley friendly staff. Highly recommend this restaurant. My husband is gluten free and he had delicious choices from their gluten free menu...the cino del duca chicken dish was incredible..gluten free too..I even had it twice it was so good and I am not gluten free! Will definitely be visiting here next trip back! 5 stars!

Don't order the steak. They should be ashamed to offer it. Too much gristle, the baked potato was dried out, like it sat in the warming oven for two days. If it wasn't for sampling from other plates around the table, it'd be a one star review.

Took 1.5 hours from the time we got in to get our food. Took the waiters 30 minutes just to take our orders after giving us menus. We were fed up and on the brink of walking out just before food arrived. Food was good but overall a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Especially given the relatively high price.

Have been going here for many years when we visit Corner Brook. Over the last 2-3 years things have gone down hill. Visited on 8/27/20 and it will be our final time. Service was terrible with staff more interested in talking to each other than customers. 2 out of 4 meals were cold, had to ask for pepper 3 times, had to go up to a group of staff and ask for drinks after trying for a few minutes to get their attention. Wait staff didn’t know things as simple as do they have decaf. Always gave them the benefit of the doubt that things would get better, they continue to get worse.

Excellent place for lunch. Looks fancy when you walk in but don't be intimidated, its relaxed and casual. I had a "build your own pizza" that tasted excellent. My guests had steak and mushroom paninnis and they were also very good. Service was good, friendly and attentive enough. I recommend that if you are in Corner Brook and are looking for an Italian place to eat, that you try Sorrento s.

Group of 4 for dinner. One enjoyed the artichoke pizza, others found their choice bland. Mediterranean salad was tasty but drenched in dressing, probably 1/8 cup left in bowl! The French onion soup was basically tasteless boiled onions with sprinkle of cheese on the croutons. The Pear and Gorgonzola pizza had potential but the cheese was too sparse you could barely taste it. The seafood linguine special ($26) had very little flavour in the sauce but did have a moderate amount of seafood. We arrived before the crowds of families but still waited an hour for our food, server was pleasant and apologized for the delay- for which he had no control over. Not the experience we were hoping for. Seemed it was a favourite place for many- maybe stick to the regular fare, cannelloni and red pasta sauces? Would not return.

Food was acceptable. Onion soup was watery and bread was cut pieces of bread finger, very tough. Cream based seafood dinner was overpowering in cream and bland. Wait staff cleared my plate while others still eating main and asked if I wanted dessert - odd.

We booked this restaurant months in advance. A week before our reservations, we had to let them know what our choices for a meal were (set menu). We arrived and it seemed to be utter confusion, we had 3 tables, but they didn't have enough waiters so they squeezed more people into 2 tables. Everyone received their dinner while I still waited for mine to arrive. 2 people at our table had to send theirs back as it was cold. When everyone was finished, I was still waiting. Finally my meal came approximately 30 minutes after everyone had finished and also my dessert (which was ice cream crepes). I asked for my dessert to be taken back until I finished my meal and the waitress got a real attitude; "what do you want me to do with it," "do you still want it". I asked her if she could put it in the fridge until I was ready and she said "I can't guarantee it won't melt". Food was acceptable, dessert was disgusting and service was some of the worst I have experienced. Eat somewhere else.

we were here July 2021.horribly under staffed. took 45 minutes for wine to arrive. had to ask for a drink menu. waitress came back 3 times to check what we ordered. 75 minutes for food to arrive. 2 stars because the food was good

Don't recommend using their delivery option. Our order was incorrectly made (twice) and was missing items. It took two hours to get the food which was fine except the order was wrong and we had to wait another hour. It was still incorrect the second time but we just couldn't be bothered calling back. The few staff I spoke to sounded overworked.

Ordered take out-The Shop Salad was excellent; however, the pizza was disappointing...hardly any sauce on most of pizza with some pieces clumped sauce at top ...undercooked crust and veggies..pics show this...yeah we ate some of it cause we were starved and staying in hotel wanting to try a pizza in Corner Brook...if we are back in the future will try Louis Gees...

The wait was way too long for the price. The steak was fatty and the pasta had too much sauce on it. Coffee was basically water and it just wasn’t worth it. I understand you have to be somewhat patient and understanding when going out but this was too much. My sister is also celiac (she’s an adorable 11 year old) and she immediately hurt after eating her steak. So be wary cause their steak spice or something might have gluten.

The food is ok, but I definitely recommend getting a pizza. Of all the times I have been here, pizzas were the only things I weren't disappointed by. The cocktails are good and I like their whiskey selection. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and it's a great place to come and have a few drinks. Service is efficient and usually pretty friendly, though I have a feeling it depends on who might be your server.
