Great atmosphere and even better food! We started off with the homemade chips and Pico de gallo (salsa), then the Famous Taco Loco. Both were so fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this place!

Loved it. Great food. The Guac and chips was great, simple dish do really well. It came with three sauces; Green hot sauce, a red chipotle and a lime cilantro. The red sauce and the lime cilantro were fantastic. I had the beef huarache and it was great. Service was great too.

The food was excellent! For dessert, we shared an order of churros, and the caramel sauce was incredible. The portion sizes were a bit big for me, but they have take-home boxes available. Waitress was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. I have recommended Hugo's to a few people for a casual dinner already.

Disappointing. Our burrito was a tortilla wrapped around rice. Blah! Veg options were all fried so passed. Slightest hint of salsa, less of guacamole . Some lettuce. I tasted cheese in one bite. Our waitress was most pleasant and got me (not my nicer husband) some more runny refried beans. Best was a discount. Actually the draft beer was great. Not for vegetarians who don't want a lot of fat.

Awesome service and divergent menu, loved the food and drinks. However the tacos do tend to be lacking in gusto. Not a lot of spice or tang in them, but would definitely eat here again!

This a great hidden gem in Chilliwack that is quickly gaining attraction. I noticed them on social media and one day decided to give them a try at their restaurant. Ended up getting their taco trio and absolutely loved each taco. I'm a big meat lover, but I actually tried their vegetarian option, since the waitress recommended it and it was pretty good. I'm very impressed with how far they grown since they first started in a gas station corner, and now are one of the more popular restaurants in town. If you haven't tried them, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to give them a try.

Lovely little spot, we were greeted warmly by one of the staff members. Their menu is digital at the moment which is absolutely perfect for our covid times. Our waitress was absolutely charming and very helpful. She gave us a warning about one of the sauces and this was highly appreciated!! Good deities was it spicy indeed!! The food... What can I say about that! OMG the food was among the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. It's not tex-Mex (yay!) and it was a burst of flavour in every bite! First up, the Guacamole and Chips entrée: The tortilla chips were to die for! Best ones I've literally ever had ???? and the guac was simply perfection. The extra sauces were a delightful addition to the plate. Definitely recommended! Next, the tacos! We got the Tofu Chorizo trio. The spices used were an absolute delicious blend, along with the cashew crema, and the lemon-pickled onions and cilantro... Beautiful mix! Last, we also got the Hugo's Bowl, veganised. I had my choice of protein replacement and I went for Coliflor: vegan beer-battered cauliflower tossed in a mouthwatering Aboba sauce and cashew cream. Delicious, delightful, absolutely fantastic can't describe it enough!! 5* will definitely go back ????

For how much hype this place gets, the food was not good. Basically a big meh. The churros were just disgusting and tasting like feet. Outside was crispy and looking good but inside was still mushy and raw. I'm just disappointed.

Super impressed with this place! They have some pretty cool vegan options (chicharrones, churros, tofu chorizo, battered cauliflower...). I highly recommend the cauliflower tacos. Everything was fresh and they have great portion sizes. And to top it off, the place was stylish and not too pricey at all.

Food is okay. Although, their pick up time is pretty much always inaccurate. On multiple times, today included, I have been quoted 45-55 minute pick up and when I get there I end up waiting 20+ minutes or more. It's like they don't make the food unless you show up or something? Waiting 1.5 hours for your food is ridiculous to begin with, especially when this consistantly occurs but for this to consistantly happen WITHOUT A COURTESY CALL OR TEXT Is completely inconsiderate. To sum it up, when it comes to pick up, you can't really depend on their estimate time at all, so it's a gamble of our time! Not impressed.

Our search has ended. We have been lamenting the inability to cross the US border to find a great Mexican Food lunch. We have found, in our area, that option to be lacking. However, since a drive to Chilliwack and our re-discovery of Hugo's, we lament no more. Every Mexican Food lunch craving can now be satisfied. The attention to detail in the flavours is spot-on. The "Taco Loco" was a good size with a great flavour. The chicken enchiladas 'platter' was spot on. The spicy sauce was a perfect compliment.Exactly what we were looking for. Couple the good good with fun and friendly service in a historic building and you have a place worth driving to.

Was driving through and lucked out in finding this gem of a place. The food was fantastic and very authentic. Fresh and tasty with good portions no complaint there.Their selection of hot sauces is great. The white drink is called "horchatta" and is made from rice milk with cinnamon, vanilla and is sweet just like the wonderful lady who served us that I want to marry lol

Food was not bad, good flavour overall, but not exceptional. The enchilada meal had 3 small enchiladas, mostly tortilla with little filling. Also one was very hard cooked and chewy! The mini tacos were, fine but mini! The margarita was mediocre at best for $7.95: small, too much ice in small pieces which made it almost impossible to drink, and basically gone in two sips.

Sit down next to a busy road, inhale the exhaust fumes while you wait 15 minutes for a table and another 20 minutes for service when you are at the table. Feel the uncomfortable metal seats dig into your back. Food was not that great either, not sure why anyone would pay for this experience.

The best Mexican food in Chilliwack! Clean, beautiful venue with a covered patio for summer and covid safety. Food arrives surprisingly quick! Try to the red salsa with your nachos. If you're a plant lover they have some amazing tropicals growing all over the walls.

I've been dying to go to Hugo's for a while and I was not disappointed. The menu was so good that it was hard to choose what to get. The cauliflower tacos were my favorite! I also had the pork and cactus tacos and they were also delicious. For the vegan folk out there, there were vegan items and options on the menu. The drinks were also so good! The spicy orange margaritas were amazing ???? My only gripe was that our side of guacamole was $10 which I thought was pretty expensive. Other than that, it was an excellent visit. I will be back.

This place has a uniquely authentic Mexican flavour. We enjoyed watermelon jalapeno margaritas and had a number of dishes from flautas to burritos to a plant based chicharrón the really impressed us. This place is a must try.
