Great value at the Homer in Chilliwack! We've been here a few times now.and the food has always been fairly good each time. Photos show the greek platter for two which is a LOT of food and great option if you want leftovers. Everything was tasty although the beef souvlaki was tough. Pros: Food consistency, prices, variety. Cons: Service speed, the owner/manager needs to smile and look like he wants us there. Kitchen staff should not smoke outside where publicly visible - its a huge turn off and makes me wonder and hope they wash their hands after stinking them up. All being said we still like this restaurant and will be back.

Hard to say, with this one... I order burgers and other things, it's fine the but pizza is always raw, the center dough being uncooked and not prepared properly, the ingredients under cooked as well, I've gotten sick multiple times eating it, I wouldn't go back.

Pleasantly surprised, our experience was very good. Service was pleasant, efficient and quick. I had the ribs & lasagna that was on special. My wife and teenager shared a greek platter. Pricing was reasonable, the food was fresh, and arrived quite fast. Also had a full glass of red wine. ( $5.50 ) Plenty of food as portions were generous.

.... walked in on a Monday Afternoon, maybe a bit after 1pm, typical lunch time I’d guess if you’re an “established” restaurant of any sort.. .. .. 2 separate groups already seated, eating... and this scrawny woman tries her HARDEST to not acknowledge myself and my wife, but was forced to walk towards the front of the restaurant so as to supposedly check on the already seated patrons - which one group was near the entrance where we eagerly waited to be seated as we had been on the road from Kelowna.... the woman patters at the one patrons table, still not even a ‘Hello’ but instead a SCOWL!!!!! I told my wife “NOPE” and we left... That one supposed waitress, barely able to walk, which has no barring on this review but pretty much knew & sensed SHE alone didn’t want us there! #notwelcomed

Gluten free/vegetarian options are limited. Ate there again today. The food is pretty good, but we have occasionally found “surprises” in our food, like hair one time, or this scary bug that was in my water glass today. If you zoom in, you can see its eye! ???????? The service is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s great, other times, not so much! They do have some good deals, though! Check their specials board.

My husband ordered Fish & Chips for our family. First the person who took our order was not very personable. The chips were cold & tasteless, the fish was over cooked, greasy & small. Last time I will order from them. The only reason I gave them one star was because it was delivered within a reasonable time.

This is a friendly restaurant. You feel that the instant you walk in the door. It's a family run place, as so many Greek restaurants are. Many of the customers there that evening must have been regulars, because quite a few were greeted at the door by name. My wife and I enjoyed our meals, didn't feel the prices were out of line. Service was friendly and attentive. The place was clean and tidy, including the restrooms. We were staying at the Royal Hotel at the time, which is a 3 minute walk away, but which has a restaurant that's closed in the evenings. For us, Homer was a win. Next time we stay in Chilliwak, we'll eat here again. Edit: And we did! And it was the same as before. In fact we've either eaten here, or ordered from here about 5 times now, and each time we received good food and service. Nice!

Delicious pizza! They actually use the correct amount of cheese, most places do not and one must ask for extra cheese making the pizza quite expensive... not Homers pizza! So good, my go to... my dad swears by their schnitzel though, he says it’s the best schnitzel going in Chilliwack. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re interested in a decent well priced meal.

Thanks for the food poisoning Cold and undercooked. Worst food I’ve ever experienced in Chilliwack. Will not be going back. Me and my wife went to celebrate our seven years together and ended up getting sick. Figured we get great food as we were the only people in the restaurant, fooled me ! Even complained about the cold food, but no care given. This is one place I’d like to see go under. Making your patrons sick in just unacceptable!

Went to Homer for a birthday dinner and was disappointed. The ceasar salad had a sweet taste, the vegiables were of the frozen and reheated variety. I had the pepper steak and it was ok but not much taste and although asking for French fries the waitress wrote down rice. The cabbage rolls had an odd texture and the sause tasted like ketchup with some nasty spices added. The prawns were made with frozen prawns and spiced very lightly. The rice was good! If you want to a quick stop this place is ok but not for quality food.

Our favourite place to go when we are passing through Chilliwack. It appears to be a Greek restaurant, and they do that very well, but they also serve up some amazing cabbage rolls and pierogies. The portions are large, but you can order off a small portions section of the menu, and still get a meal that will fill most people, and for under $10. It means one skewer of souvlaki instead of two, or a couple less pierogies.

When I was in Chilliwack yesterday - I google searched Greek restaurants and Homer Restaurant came up. I know...it doesn't sound Greek. I ordered Lamb , Fries, Pita , Greek Salad and Tzatsiki. I have to say it is the best most flavorful, tender lamb I have ever had. I highly recommend them, when in Chilliwack.

Looking through the reviews I honestly don’t know how they get such good reviews. The worst thing about homers is the bathrooms smell like pea. The decor is bad too. Their chairs are old and greasy and some have ripped leather. The place has probably never been updated in 20 plus years. They are friendly and the food is ok. They would do better to make the menu smaller and focus more on quality of ingredients.

Where to begin.... To start with, it was Valentine's day so they were quite busy. I won't talk about the delays because like I mentioned, Valentine's. My meal was the Lamb Souvlaki. It was ok, but kinda funky tasting and not hot. My partner ordered the chicken Cordon bleu. It was very strange. What seemed like two large breaded chicken burger patties with lunch ham and cheese in between and melted cheddar on top. He couldn't eat it or the mashed potatoes with beef gravy. The steamed baby carrots were nice though. We ordered drinks. My partner's screwdiver was good. They had no tonic water for my gin and tonic, and didn't know how to make a Manhattan. My partner ordered the clam chowder. It tasted like canned chicken soup with a few clams. They did remove the offending meal from the tab, hence one more star. I would say look elsewhere.

I have often gone to Homer's for Greek food and I love their chicken and lamb Souvlaki. During my last visit though I tried their BBQ chicken breast and spaghetti and you know what, it was wonderful too. The hostess, a middle aged woman has been there for as long as I have been going there. There is nothing fancy about this place but for the idols depicting various Greek gods that welcome you as you walk to the place. Some zealot has defaced a couple of them but you can't take the spirit away. Their food is always fresh and I clean up the plate every time I go there. Highly recommended.

I was so disappointed! I used to visit Homer's quite often then moved away. My daughter and I wereooking forward to our dinner .. we ordered the "small" size or half portions which were perfect size. She ordered the steak medium rare and when she went to cut it it was not easy but chewing ut was impossible so I asked the waitress to take ut away she offered a new one and we accepted TO GO. Once home she opened the box and cut I to a raw peice of meat LITERALLY! IT was browned on nith sides as if flipped and served and literally raw. Not sure if it was a mistake or a payback for our send back but either way with a ook like that we wont be returning nor will any if our friends and family

Service was good. But food quality wasn't there. The veggies were freezer burnt and soggy. The roast lamb was very tough for a roast lamb. My wife said it best. They got lots of good stuff on the menu. Which usually means they're not great at any of it. The chicken Slovaki was good and the cheese from the pizza she said. But the kids wouldn't eat it...

Our crew works away from home on a regular basis and spends many a day in different locations . We had the pleasure of working in Chilliwack and by extension , dining at Homer . What a pleasant surprise that was . We ended up eating every meal at Homer . For three days . Although the theme is greek , there is a wide enough variety to keep everyone satisfied and the portions are enormous. Combine that with the friendly staff and amazing prices and everyone was happy . Highly recommended.

Excellent food and customer service. Nice ambience. Would highly recommend. I just turned 60 and had my birthday dinner at Homer's. My family has a lot of history and fond memories with Homer Restaurant. I literally grew up with the restaurant, as my father worked there from since I was a little girl until my dad retired in the 80's. Frank has been the owner all these years and still is. I had a wonderful dinner of handmade cabbage rolls and pierogies. They give you free dessert on your birthday. I chose lemon meringue pie. The waitress brought it out with a lit candle. I totally enjoyed the dinner. I went back for breakfast. I had bacon and eggs with shredded hashbrowns and sourdough toast. All of it: excellent! Eggs done to perfection. Would highly recommend. Excellent place for family gatherings. They have a banquet room. My parents had a few anniversaries celebrations there. Awesome restaurant!

Ordered the special, which was perogies with farmer sausage. The perogies were delicious, but came with a bunch of crispy crunchy bacon, which was real bacon, but cooked way too long. Some pieces I couldn't actually eat. The farmer sausage was good, and looked local. It came with a big hunk of garlic toast, which I didn't try to eat. It also came with cooked vegetables, which I think were broccoli, peas and carrots.

I just had Ravioli, Burger, Fries & Gravy, Humus & Pita Bread Delivered. The Ravioli was AMAZING. The meat sauce had a bunch of flavor. I could honestly eat a whole pot of it. The burger was big and the wife really liked it but it was to big so she has a snack for tomorrow. Came with lots of fries and the gravy tasted like home made gravy. Really good.

Located in downtown Chilliwack, not the greatest area and the restaurant is quite a bit dated. Don't let that stop you! The food great and the Pizza's awesome. Eat in or take out. It's well priced and excellent. Popular with the locals. Get the pizza.

Yesterday 4 of us went to have a sit down dinner at Homers took 25 minutes to get service and 30 more minutes for the food .Food was cold we complained they took off 10 % of the bill .Never going back there again .The owner did,nt care .

1.Walked into an Empty restaurant and the waitress told us to wait because she had to clean a table. 2. Our menus were closed and we were looking at our waitress as she put cutlery on tables. There was only one other customer. *sat us next to the noisy bar and ice machine. She had a choice of the entire restaurant. 3. Our food came. The salad was AMAZING! 4. Kalamari came kinda soft and soggy...but it wasnt horrible. 5. The lamb was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. Makes me think it was frozen and then microwaved. *Aside from that it was amazing. Tasted really good. 6. We were never asked how our meal was, nor was our water ever refilled. We had to stand up and try to wave down the waitress to get our bill. When asking for the bill we got a hand written bill with scribbles all over it. I couldnt wait to leave. Here is the kicker.... the place could be amazing. The food was (for the most part) very good. Good portion and flavors. Prices were ok. With the right training and some blue and white paint - it could be a great place.

So rude! Called to order the prawns and scallops dinner under the "Greek" menu then get told if we want Greek salad it will cost us $2 more. I asked why when "Greek salad" comes with the dinner on the online menus, girl says it's not considered under the Greek Dinner anymore but in the "rudest" tone. I say ok we will talk about it and call back. So we do and we call back to speak to a manager, guy who answered says he is the manager, so I ask about the dinner we ordered and why the online menus is not reflecting what they offer. He says the menus changed 3 months ago and upon further inquiry he HANGS UP on me. WORST customer service EVER hands down!!! So back to ordering from the amazing RENDEVOUS, their food is amazing AND their service!!! So is Greek Islands here in Chilliwack but not sure if they deliver. Regardless. You'll be treated better at any other place you decide to eat, even McDonalds has better customer service!!!
