REVIEWS OF Bubba's Big Bites IN Chilliwack

Read the reviews, wanted to try it out. So very pleasurably unexpected! The sandwiches take a while to make but yep, good things come to those who wait. The sandwiches are American sized, but filled with really good local ingredients. Still mouthwatering just thinking about our last visit. Ended up having it for 2 meals, it was so filling. I loved loved the sandwiches, and the people are very sweet:-)

I had the mushroom and spinach flatbread and the ham and pea soup last week - delicious! - was enough for a few meals. Today I had cream of mushroom soup and garlic toast. Best soup I've ever had! Surprised there were 2 massive pieces of garlic toast. Once again it was enough for 2 meals! Absolutely love this place and the owners are so friendly and personable.

We have driven by Bubba's Big Bites plenty of times while here (we are wintering here from Alberta) and wondered what it was like. So we do as most people do and google them. Reviews were great so we decided to give it a try and are we ever glad we did!! We ordered the meatball sandwich with potatoe wedges, beef and barley soup, and the Italian sausage flatbread. OMG, first off...the amount of food you get is unbelievable value for your dollar but to top it off, the food is delicious and homemade. The meatball sandwich was crazy big...pretty much a loaf of bread with some removed and replaced with meatballs. The Italian sausage flatbread was piled with toppings and was very tasty. The Beef and Barley soup was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. We went back today just for soup and had the cream of mushroom, which was the best mushroom soup we've ever had. Also had the Italian Wedding soup, which was good too but the mushroom beat it hands down. The owners are very friendly and nice with all who enter the restaurant. We will definitely eat here again...and again...and again...

Excellent food. I had the Hero. Wife had a Calzone and the kid had grilled cheese. Very friendly staff/owners. Highly recommend if you haven't eaten here yet.

I would highly recommend trying out this unique hole in the wall! It’s a bit of a mix of diner-style food with random Italian or Mediterranean touches. Huge portions indeed! The garlic bread baked sandwiches are a must. They’re packed with meats, veggies and of course garlic butter and sauces. Yes, it’s greasy but it hits the spot. Ask for their house-made hot sauce - it’s a yummy spicy chilli paste you can add to any of their menu options!

Epic food! The food here is SO good!! I've had a few things and everything is a winner. If you're REALLY hungry, get the meatball sub, it is epic!! Call your order in too or prepare to wait a bit as this place is popular!

Bubba’s is a must-go in Chilliwack! We were a group of eight people, all completely satisfied and happy with the food! The couple who run this place are very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommended and will go again!

Excellent value and high quality comfort food. Rich soups, very tasty and full bodied. Order ahead as food is made when you order it.

To say the food was amazing would be an understatement. The Oinker is pure delight with a ton of meat and enough bread to hold it all. The sheer amount of food you get for the price is a fantastic, and will serve as a second meal for me. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the 'mom & pop shop' vibe is strong. If you're in the area, you'd be a fool to not stop by. Also, they have a frequent buyer card!

Bubbas is a true gem in chilliwack. Just an awesome ma and pa ran fresh sandwich and soup shop. Good prices, good portions, tasty food and phenomenal people ! Sascha and Julie are very hard working and kind hearted and are all about supporting the people of the community and you just can’t overlook that.

Drove here from Abbotsford, arrived exceptionally hangry. Fun atmosphere, and every menu item looks incredible. The Oinker may have changed my outlook on restaurant sandwiches forever; Guy Fieri would be glowing with pride! The photo doesn't hold a candle to the real deal, so drop everything and get yourself a sandwich asap!

This is why I love Google reviews. If it wasn’t for others raving about this place, I wouldn’t have tried it. We loved it. Fresh, delicious food in generous portions. My growing 12 year old was able to eat their kids meal without complaining he was still hungry - that’s a first! Would definitely go again! Local - gem - you should try it. The beef melt was so tender with a fresh/homemade taste. The meatball sub looked like a loaf of bread was cut in half and filled with meatballs. So good!!!

This place is honestly unreal and a hidden gem. You don’t really find many places like this… filled with so much love and FOOD. The size of my sandwich was HUGE and the donut holes are better than mini donuts. Worth the wait ♥️

This was our second visit. The food is homemade, made from scratch and portions generous. The cheeseburger soup IS. TO. DIE. FOR! They are both so friendly and really accommodating when it comes to dietary modifications. I just can't believe that my husband and I hadn't discovered Bubba's Big Bites sooner! We will be back!

stated on facebook would close on 9pm, google said 8pm so we called and no answer, bit of a waste of a drive edit: you stated the reason why and I completely accept it but some notice (update on fb) about closing early would have been nice to customers who read your post earlier in the day and save them the long drive down to chilliwack. Thanks.

They make fresh food, it’s totally worth it. Every time we visit Chilliwack we make sure that we have food from there. The food is delicious and their passion reflects in their food. You might have to wait for about 20 mins but it’s totally worth the wait. Be patient as every thing they serve homemade. I think even the sauces are homemade. Go for it! I highly recommend bubba big bites.

Fantastic food and friendly people. We had soup and a few sandwiches between our group, and everything was most excellent. I just wish I lived closer to be able to visit more often.

Bubba's Big Bites makes great sandwiches! Highly recommend checking this place out. Great customer service, great food, and good prices. Sandwiches are huge so you definitely won't leave hungry.

Mar Chris

Really good flavour. They carve out some of the bread to make room for the toppings but it still feels like a lot of bread. The staff suggested going to a near by park (Peach Park) to enjoy our meal with some beautiful views!

It was one of the best meal I have ever eaten ????

Had the pizza and it was enormous! I heard great things about this place and I was not disappointed. will definitely be going back and trying out one of the sandwiches.

Saw the reviews and had to try this place based on the reputation they have online. It was not as expected. I have tried this placed 3 times hoping to love it but that has not happened yet. I strongly suspect that the majority of reviews in this place are from family and friends and not The food Is hit and miss. Some items are quite good and some fall short in my opinion. For instance I had the Chicken Club Flatbread and it was quite good (however I asked for no tomato and there was tomato) but since the wait for our order was 55 minutes (on the phone I was told it would be 35 but when I arrived the cranky guy told me in a less than pleasant tone not ready yet) When I finally did get my order I did enjoy the flatbread as mentioned above and I also got a huge portion of very tasty tater tots with some sort of chipotle(?) dip that was delicious. I really liked that dip. On another occasion I ordered the Roast Beef Melt and Swedish Meatball Soup. I was pretty excited but ended up very disappointed. The sandwich was packed with Roast Beef which would normally be amazing but this was not homemade roast beef this was some sort of processed beef slices and they were not good at all. They tasted like actual cardboard, no seasoning and no flavour. I also think they were certainly not cut against the grain as they were stringy, chewy and tough not suitable for a sandwich. I pulled out 98% of the meat and it was palatable. I dunked it in the Swedish Meatball soup. I was so excited to try this sadly It was nothing more than what seemed like canned Cream of Mushroom with some frozen meatballs and rotini thrown in. I pulled out a meatball and it was defiantly one of those premise, prefrozen kind that you buy in bag of the freezer section. I was under the impression that the soups were homemade. So that was sad to me. Lastly I tried the Hero. I liked the flavours but as with the Roast Beef Melt it was just so much bread. I may be in the minority but bigger isn't always better. I had to pull it apart and eat it opened faced but it was much better after that. Nice rich flavours. Again I was treated to tater tots and that spectacular dip they give you. Listen this place isn't horrible or anything the amount of food you get for the price is certainly fair. So if you are a quantity over quality person then you will be happy for sure. I just wrongly assumed for the reviews that the food was homemade and that is what I expected so the for me the quality isn't there. I also don't really appreciate being told your food will be ready at this time then showing and waiting an extra 20 minutes. I know the saying quality takes time but in this case the quality is not worth the extra 20 minutes or the cranky attitude I got from the cook letting me know it was going to take an extra 20. Every time I have ordered it has been minimum 15 minutes longer than they told me. It is rude to waste people's time unapologetically.

This place is a gem. We have eaten here many times whenever passing through Chilliwack and have never been dissapointed. The food comes out quick and fresh. The food is to die for and have obvious homemade love. The owners are incredibly kind and care about their buisness and customers. MUST TRY.

Jim Fraser

The best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The calzones are also fantastic. The soups are to die for, especially any tomato based ones. Everything is delicious. They can get busy so I'd recommend ordering ahead of time. However if you walk in to order I assure you it's worth the wait. The only drawback for me is that it's not closer to where I live. It's a must visit whenever I'm in Chilliwack. Bring your appetite as the business name doesn't lie. Big bites indeed!

Simply put the BEST sandwich I have ever had in my life! Just do yourself a favour and go try it! super friendly owners, very clean and happy environment I tried going in the past a couple of times but unfortunately it was on Mondays when they were closed, From now on I will never go to Chiliwack on Monday’s just so I don’t miss out on this AMAZING food!

Douglas Adam

True manwiches for the truly hungry so sharpen your teeth, bring your appetite, and leave the vegans at home. Though there are some cheese topped vegetarian options. These two take pride in making a great variety of fresh, meaty, offerings with locally fresh baked bread, and lovingly home made sauces. We came across Bubba's by chance and it quickly became a regular stop otw to Kelowna. Plan for extra time though. Every meal is made fresh to order and takes as long as it takes. Trust me, it's worth waiting for.
