Service was great, order was correct, prices were good, but the food was not very good at all. The salad dressing was runny, there was a bad piece of shrimp in one of the dishes, the overall taste was very bland. I was very disappointed.
Good food and monthly special is a good option for our family
Honestly I’ve only ever had a good experience at this place! The service, people and place is just fantastic! Especially after today, my friend was celebrating her 21st birthday and they made a special plate with sushi spelling out “Happy 21” and it was absolutely amazing and surprised my friend! Would definitely recommend! Best sushi in town!???????? ((I wish I could share a photo of it, but I’m not tech savvy enough!))
The best SUSHI in town!
Starting with the food, it's very good! Large sushi rolls which is good or bad depending on how you like it. My 3 star rating comes from overall aesthetics, it's cold in the building which is just an old house, walking in it looked very odd, an old weird shelf thing that had someone's phone on it, they gave me a can of pop instead of a glass and to top it off I was given a cut up piece of dollar store gum for my mint... That's seriously cheap but the kicker is they're charging the same as Tokyo Sushi which is way higher in terms of class.
Great value, but avoid the rolls unless you *really* like rice
Always so fresh and so delicious!
Great service and great food. Love going here.
Great experience, friendly and quick service. Food is absolutely delicious! First time ever being there and definitely will go back!
Take out
Every time I'm there is worse than the last. Never again. They shouldn't offer AYCE if they can't do it right. Food is put on the plate without any regard or care for the people who will be eating it. Quality is poor and very inconsistent. If you like vomiting and food poisoning, then this is the place for you. Most sushi places are more or less the same, but this is uniquely bad - a true pile of garbage.
By far the best sushi in Chatham! Get the sashimi in all you can eat! Small setting which can be nice.
5 stars rated on the monthly take out special. Great deal, great value for the amount of food.
Best sushi place of all time.
Good food cosy place.
My girlfriend and I live in different cities and decided to meet half way for a dinner date at Midori. We had the all you can eat which was very reasonably priced at just over $20 each. The food was all excellent and blew away my expectations for a small town sushi restaurant. Although, there was a piece of red snapper sashimi which had a pungnant, fishy smell to it and may have been left out, however I'm not sure. The young female waitress was excellent and took the time to explain everything and wanted our genuine feedback on the place even asking for areas she could improve. One other downside was the decor. Although the food was great, the decor did not fit. From the pine band board around the dining room, the messy wiring of an improperly hung television, and confusing maze of walking through two sitting areas before dining in what seemed to be an awkwardly set up breakfast bunch buffet dining setup, the decor was lacking. Overall, the food is great if you don't mind the decor of the restaurant.
I’ve had a lot of sushi and this place by far is the best. Always impressed.
used to be good , now they add fried tempura bits to everything to try and cut costs , i won t be going back , and the sashimi cuts were terrible
Cozy little place with good food and good service. Had a great time.
Hands down my favourite place to get freshly made, all-you-can-eat sushi. The sushi balls are mine and my hubby's absolute favourite, sashimi is always so tasty and fresh when I've had it, and never had an issue with taste with any dish I've had there. The place is tiny, under 10 tables total, but they are always so friendly, quick, picking up or eating in, and quality never differs. I will always recommend this place and can't stop thinking about the food!
Restaurant needs to be cleaner, staff was very nice, sushi was okay. I eat alot of sushi and it was in my opinion mediocre. Comparable to grocery store sushi. Safe but not great.
Midori was always hit and miss, but they've definitely stepped down a notch since they've moved.
Always great service...consistently awesome menu.. Best sushi in town
Good sushi for Chatham.. it is my favorite in town.
Love midori sushi
Fast Friendly Service, Fantastic Food, And FAIR PRICES. The BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT AROUND. ????????????????????
I must say that I was very disappointed. The atmosphere hasn't seen a dime in 30 years, the wait staff (just 1 young girl) ran her feet off and in 2 hours I hadn't yet received my 1st order. The quality of the food is risky if you have plans the next couple days, not just temperature but tasted off. I would never eat here again. I felt the reviews were very over-rated and regret trusting them.
The place looked a little sketchy coming in but once we got past that the food was incredible... I'd definitely go back
Midori serves some of the freshest sushi I have ever eaten. Their service is quick and presentation is good.
Amazing service and reasonable prices. Tempura is the best I've ever had - golden and crispy. Environment and service is unlike any other All-You-Can-Eat restaurant I've been to compared to restaurants in London and Toronto. Waitress was incredibly friendly and even asked us if we wanted more food. Definitely the place to go for sushi in Chatham!
The food is fresh and service is kind. It is the best place for Suishi in Chatham.
Fast and friendly service. The food was great fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back.
Love this place, everything fresh, good sizes, good flavor, a little more $$ but worth it ????
Best sushi in Chatham! Service is great. Menu is updated online. Monthly takeout specials are always on point.
I used to work at some sushi restaurant in BC, also love to eat. This Midori is really good choice for the price performance, if you know japanese food well. There can be sushi with little better quality in bigger cities, but normally you have to order separately, and will be surprise when you see the bill. Or there might be $1 or $2 cheaper japanese restaurant which owned by chinese. But the fresh fish and tempura quality is totally different. I am moving to London pretty soon, so sad because there is no better one than midori in London as far as I tried.
The front windows were not lit of so I felt like was stumbling onto a restaurant closing up for the night. Only as I kept wondering to the back did I find a room with people. First I felt like I was intruding on a private function because no one was there to greet me. But food and service was fine.
Always a treat to eat here. Food hot and prepared well.
Top tier food and sushi. The avocado balls and fried sushi were mind-blowing.
Best sushi in town. Try the udon soup!
Great food and great service. I tried a lot of things on the many when I was in Chatham and they were all fantastic.
Food is great. 10/10 would come again.
Always so good for takeaway! Husband and I eat here at least once a month.
The price is definitely right. I had the make set (15$) , I was surprised how big the sushi were for that price. I could not even finish half of my plate. Over all not the best sushi I have had, and inside need a little bit more work, that is why I gave 4 stars
Love the food.
The young lady that works there is not only stunning but so very sweet! Enjoyable experience just needs more options.
Always delicious and fresh. Staff is very friendly and very efficient. My favourite place in town.
Food was okay. Cream cheese wontons were served partially cold. The menu is a word document that you have to circle your choices on. A better visual menu with some pictures would do wonders to make it easier to read the menu and make your choices. The set up for seating is too close to the bathroom for my liking. Our server was fantastic though. $20.95 for an adult for lunch or dinner is too high for what is offered. Better sushi restaurants are out there for a more reasonable cost. Overall I would not come back.
Service
All you can eat NOT AVAILABLE AT LUNCH!
Meal type
Large rolls, good variety, good price for kids but expensive for adults
Great food, lots of options for vegetarians as well.
I stopped in there with my girlfriend for lunch on Saturday. They had an all you can eat lunch menu that included Korean food, Vietnamese food and sushii. We tried many different rolls as well as some spicy beef (Korean). Everything I tried was delicious. The server was great and even recommended some of her favourite items to try. The bill was reasonable for sushi in general, let alone of that quality. I will be going back.
Dinner
best Sushi in Kent County
This place is extremely slow with serving customers and they don’t seat people if they have take out orders
Excellent food. Authentic sushi. Great monthly take specials on Facebook.
I was blown away with how good the food was. I highly recommend going here.
IMO - the best Sushi place in Chatham.
Delicious BUT VERY VERY EXPENSIVE
The best in southwestern Ontario! Would recommend to anyone passing through must stop in!????????
Fantastic sushi and Korean food!
Delivery available
Great place,great food,great service
Great little Japanese restaurant. Would definitely recommend
The atmosphere of this place is awesome. It's a very cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The decor is great and the food does not disappoint. I'd recommend Midori Sushi to anyone that passes through Chatham. ????
Service wasn't the friendliest possible, but the food was good.
2 stars because I couldn’t actually try the food. We called multiple times without any answered calls, so we went to order from the window in person. After waiting for 15 minutes to place an order in the winter rain, was told that they aren’t taking more orders today because they have too much business. Thank you for wasting an hour and a half of my time just trying to place an order, I would much rather you guys have picked up the phone to tell us they weren’t taking orders.
They do not answer their phones, they do not seat people when they have take out orders and give their customers attitude
For the last few years I had been going to a couple other sushi joints in Chatham. Went here on a recommendation, was plesently surprised that this sushi is definitely a cut above the rest.
Great sushi! I would recommend to all my friends.
Sushi was pretty good, portions were surprisingly very good. I would definitely recommended this place to friends.
Never disappointed always a great meal for good price.
Top notch. Best sushi in town.
This place is hands down the best sushi restaurant I have ever eaten at. The portions are enormous the food is delicious and the service is fantastic. I would give it 10 stars if I could! Highly recommended
Why have a phone if you wont answer it lol
If you want accurate orders and timely service, look somewhere else. Though looking somewhere else may not be hard once they stop answering their phone shortly after they open. The food is okay but nothing to write home about and that is really all that can be said for Midori Sushi in Chatham.
Best sushi in chatham
Great Sushi
Poor customer service and slow staff... can’t handle bigger groups of customers so they reject them entirely
Food was good while eating but was sick all night barfing ... not impressed
Small place big portion
Great portions, excellent food, very fresh fish. Well worth the visit.
Always fresh food, served not long after you order. Everything on their menu is great and the atmosphere is quiet and not regularly busy. We go here regularly. It's the best sushi we've had.
I like their sushi. Kimchi is also good but last time they did not put soy sauce and chopsticks. To support local businesses I will continue to take out from them.
Fresh food
Always fresh...always good. I'd say it's the best suishi in town...it's all you can eat at dinner only, not lunch. But for 10 or 15 at lunch...you'll be stuffed. Have a great take-out special too.
Polite service and well made sushi. My favorite place in Chatham.
Goooooooood food.
