Very disappointed.. we waited over an hour for food! They did gave us a small discount because we waited so long.. but the food was just ok for the high price. My wife got the fall flavors special, and it was a small piece of fish, three pieces asparagus, and small portion of tasteless potatoes. The appetizer, was teeny.. the dessert was decent, but not the best we've had on PEI. I got the vegetarian pasta, and again very small portion, the size of an appetizer. The best part of the night was the local artist playing tunes on the guitar, other than that, not worth the money! So many better restaurants on PEI, save your money and try something else.

Food was only okay and the noise from the guitar player/singer was much too loud for the space.

Limited food choices and overpriced compared to the small food portions. Service was kind and helpful but the food overall was not very good and in some cases burnt.I would recommend taking the short walk to nearby restaurants with much better food for the same price.

Great food but a tad expensive. One thing you need to get used to is island time, nothing moves to fast.

Excellent service and delicious food. The chowder and prime rib were very good. The plating is a bit silly at times (mashed potatoes in a bowl is one thing, but asparagus, too?), but the food is great. Bartender also makes a mean cocktail - gin and tonic was one of the best we've had. It is in a hotel lobby, but somehow manages to still feel cozy and not too loud.

Had breakfast here twice and both times were as expected food wise. There are definitely cheaper places around but the service here is what sets this place apart from others. We had the pleasure of being served by Clodagh and she was amazing.

David Sheppard

Overpriced. All I have to say ($27 for a chicken sandwich and a coffee for lunch. That was on Islander Day and they had a limited lunch menu). I have since returned and had the seafood chowder which was very good quite salty and too thick) . I will be going back for that.

The food is actually not bad. However nothing too special. Love the atmosphere here though????????????

Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten. Their main seafood dish is incredible, as is their mussel dish. Service was very friendly and attentive despite a massive crush of people fleeing the rainstorms.

Fantastic but keep in mind during summer 2020 it's closed to the public due to CPL taking over the Delta.

Grease late dinner fries soggy and fish over done or fryer needed changing ....not to appealing swimming in grease

Friendly staff, timing is good and delicious food. I've done the breakfast buffet in the past, and more recently the chicken BLT. There are tons of options for seating inside- bar, booths, high top, truly a ton. The only thing that would be better is some sort of coffee station. I'm often in the building for events, and it's quite a wait to just grab a coffee. Possibly faster to walk downstreet. I know it's not the business they're trying to offer- but it would just be convenient for those of us there for the day! ????

The service and the food were equally fantastic! The crab dip was better than I have ever had, creamy and full of crab. My husband loved the mussels! Our server was friendly, prompt, patient and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here!

Evening after a snowstorm nothing else was open in downtown Charlottetown that I could find. I was very pleasantly surprised by Water’s Edge. Seafood Pasta was delicious. Bartender was friendly and made a decent old fashioned. Overall, good service and good food. Some interesting cocktails on the menu and a decent variety of beer on tap. Worth visiting if you’re in PEI.

The oysters and the lobster roll were very good. My waiter was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The Delta is a very nice hotel.

Water's Edge was one of our best experiences on PEI so far! We had dinner here tonight near the end of the evening. The Cajun Mussels appetizer was delicious and very fresh! We had the salmon and grilled sirloin with both being great! The desserts were also excellent. I had the raspberry cheesecake and it was wonderful! Being from NY we are spoiled with our cheesecake but this cheesecake was some of the best I have ever had. The staff was wonderful and so friendly! Our waitress was the best we have ever had anywhere!!!! I wish we had gotten her name but she had a new staff nametag. She was extremely attentive, efficient, and friendly. She asked us why we were on the island and we told her it was our honeymoon. She went out of her way to say congratulations and offered us wonderful suggestions of where to go on the island. After my wife showed her a picture of our Sheltie she did say she had a German Shepherd! We also tend to watch around a restaurant and all the staff were chatting with customers while being extremely friendly and so efficient! The manager on our way out thanked us and offered her congratulations. You could not ask for a nicer more attentive staff. I hope a manager sees this and shares it with the staff that was working that night.
