This place is super busy and they only had 2 servers.. but these guys were amazing had a smile on their face and they did their best... our server adam #95 was amazing ???? food was really good price was really good... we had muscles 10.99$ and it was huge bucket ???? and and the lobster roll was amazing and the chowder best I have had on this road trip across east coast. And the fish and chips was so good... overall I was impressed with the food... sorry I ate most of the food b4 taking pictures lol

The lobster was served cold, the potato soup was burnt and the salad was already getting brown (they are supposed to be green right??) And then we changed the lobster for a pasta. The sauce was pure ketch-up and the vegetables are canned...i don't know if i have ever been served with worse food than this...cold unfresh and disapponting Honestly, i do not recommend it.

Heart of the fun filled tourist destination! This resto knows what PEI is about, delicious food and friendly & excellent service, the nautical ambiance is cozy too! Adam our server is the best! You gotta have the steamed lobster meal with PEI mussels. The best! We sure will be back again!

Came in off the street with a family of 5, we were seated almost immediately. The server brought us water to start and menus to browse. We ordered the Seafood Lobster Chowder, Fish and Chips, Poutine, Onion Rings, and a Grilled Cheese kids meal for my youngest who is a picky eater. The food arrived fast considering there was.another large group who ordered ahead of us. Everything was served piping hot. The Chowder came with a warm roll and was rich and delicious with lots of seafood pieces in the Chowder. The fish with the fish and chips was huge and the batter was crispy and the fish was well seasoned and flaky. The fries were also crispy without being overcooked. Everything was delicious and the server checked in shortly after we started eating to make sure everything was great. The servers know their stuff and we were extremely happy with our visit. Will eat again. 10/10

We stopped here after travelling all day to get to PEI and were looking for a quick supper. We all had the lobster rolls, and they were absolutely delicious. Tons of lobster in them, and ready quite quickly. It was only after we ate that our gracious server told us he had been about to close when we walked in (we arrived three minutes after closing time, but we didn't realize this). Rather than turning us away, he stayed open just for us. He was very nice and it was a wonderful start to our vacation. I would definitely eat here again (but I'll keep on eye on the hours next time). Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I am pleased to say it’s my first time in PEI & I never had lobster. As my first time at this restaurant I had such a horrible experience with the staff. This one waitress was extremely rude to my family members, and assumed we did not speak English or understand due to our colour. We ordered more than one lobster and obviously are paying for everything, even the extra bits. For my first time here the food was mediocre. The soup, salad, and potatoes were amazing. I really enjoyed that. But I unfortunately have to say the experience from the staff, and quality of the food have disappointed me and my family. I would appreciate better behaviour towards their guests, and welcome them with good vibes.

The 7-day Tour East Bus trip that I'm traveling on stopped here; we have 50 tourists in our group. It's a meal stop so only a quickie review. The $325 meal plan includes 6 lunches and 6 dinners of which this restaurant is one of the venues. This New Glasgow seafood eatery has indoor and patio seating. The set meal began with a 1-1.5 pound (pre-cooked weight) Maritime Lobster entree. We could then go up to a counter and select from unlimited potato salad, garden salad, seafood chowder, and/or steamed mussels. Delicious! Dessert was sliced watermelon.

Our group of 14 came here for dinner for our last night in Cavendish. The waitress did her best to make sure everyone was taken care of and did a wonderful job. She was nice, tentative and kept the drinks filled. I know it's not easy with a big crowd, especially with quite a few kids as well so a huge thank you! My boyfriend had the lobster poutine which was amazing! After a horrible lobster poutine at the Walton pub, this was a welcome surprise (he was a bit worried to order another one) I did try it and wished I had ordered the same thing. One of the kids ordered the mussles, it was a huge serving, and she was happy with it, ate the whole thing actually. The fried shrimp, scallops and clams were good, I enjoyed the meal as did my sister in law who ordered the same dish. Over all it was a pleasant experience and glad we decided to try the Lobster Shack.

Our family ate here a few days ago. It was excellent food and service! My parents thought the fish and chips were the best - the restaurant doesn’t use the regular “fish and chips” batter, it is very crispy and not oily/greasy and flavourful. My 10 yo thoroughly enjoyed it too. My husband and I had the lobster roll. Super delicious. But the pièce de résistance was definitely the lobster seafood chowder!! Soooooo good. And last but certainly not least, the service from our waiter was prompt, helpful and friendly.

Dined here with my family, a party of 6. We got the baked and steamed lobster, seafood chowder soup, lobster poutine and lobster roll! The baked and steamed lobster came with mussels, a side salad and corn. The mussels were so good! The seafood chowder was delicious! Totally would recommend this restaurant. I would definitely come back in a heart beat!

Having had a delicious lobster meal for lunch elsewhere on the island - we ordered to take out some fish n chips, DON’T. The fish was fresh but overcooked and the batter was coarse and tasteless. The fries were the type that are coated with something and we’re not crisp but soggy. The meal was accompanied by the absolute tiniest, wee portion of coleslaw I’ve ever seen, really it was but a tablespoon serving half filling a very small plastic container. Same amount of tarter sauce along with that. We each ate less than half our meal. I realize it’s a tourist destination but some respect for us would be appreciated.

7 tables in the building, 1 young Male server taking care of all. Waited 10min to get drink order, then 5 more to get them. Takes the order, 2 lobster dinners and calamari 1st to start. Well, mussels come out 1st w/ only 1/2 of them opened and were served to us. I was always told if they dont open they are dead? Calamari then came out dry and way over cooked, should be tender not chewy and crispy. We said we're not chancing the lobster's and said just bill us for the drinks we're leaving. The owner instead of asking what can I do to make you feel better, he said you cant leave I started cooking your lobster. I said you gave us dead mussels and way overcooked calamari and you want us now to risk your lobster cooking? 2 other tables left as well and thanked us for for the heads up before they ordered. It looks great from the road, I recommend keep driving. Bad food bad owner.

Waited 15 mintues for just drinks we left with others that said the food was terrible. Went down the road to Fisherman's Wharf for a great service (Kegan) and fresh yummy lobster dinner with a 60 foot salad bar and unlimited mussels.

I had dinner at this restaurant with my family last week. The lobster and mussel were really fresh and tasty. Also, clam chowder and seafood chowder were awesome!!! It was creamy and lots of stuff in soups. This was best chowder ever!!!. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you looking for best food on Cavendish....

Cavendish Lobster Shack is what East coast travel dreams are made of. You always hear about East coast hospitality, but we didn’t experience it from any other establishment or local until we walked into this restaurant. The staff are beyond accommodating and attentive. We felt so welcomed and cared for! We got a lobster roll and the seafood chowder. -The lobster roll was great! Lots of lobster meat and the bread was perfectly toasted. The French fries are like Costco fries and if you know Costco fries then you know it was hecking good. -The seafood chowder was the best we have ever tasted (though it can be ‘heavy’ for those sensitive to salt/cream). It was SO good we ordered a second bowl even though we were already stuffed. I also LOVED their bread roll; it was a sweet bread that was deadly delicious when dipped into the chowder. We compare every lobster/seafood meal we have on our East coast trip to the Cavendish Lobster Shack and nothing measures up. We’ll definitely be coming back to Cavendish if not for the beaches then just for this place.

I promised my grandson lobster before we left the island and my grandson decided he wanted to go to The Lobster Shack. We were there today and I am so glad he did the service was the best we have had in a long time there was four of us in our party have to say the hospitality was exceptional. The food amazing the lobster and mussels grandson said was heaven lobster roll mouth watering we will certainly return next time on the island. Highly recommend when in Cavendish. Thank you for the hospitality and great food.

I really enjoyed Cavendish Lobster Shack. I am from PEI, a few friends and i came out to Cavendish for the day and were very pleased with the food and the service. The server was quick and answered all my questions and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this resturant to locals and anyone coming to PEI to visit.
