Took the food to go. They made it on the wrong bread first but apologized and had the correct out shortly. We had the donair on naan but it was weird with pizza cheese and pepperoni on it. Wouldn't order that again.

We stood up for almost 15 minutes before we got to sit.. it would be understandable if the dining room was busy but there were only 2 tables occupied... Once we got seated there was no kids menus so that was a little discouraging since we had 3 kids with us. Food was great though, service was okay.

Terrible location. STAY AWAY unless you have to. Their salad gave me diarrhea, and worst of all the PIZZA DOUGH WAS RAW. Not clean we had to change our table cutlery twice as it was dirty when we unwrapped it and then they brought us another dirty set when we complained. Service was extremely mediocre. No effort. This is a chain I usually have a lot of respect for since coming to the east coast but this one was a travasty. PLEASE STAY AWAY! Eat bread if you have to, at least you won't get sick that way!

Felt really bad for the waitress as I'm pretty sure she was the only one working. She seriously did her best but it was an incredibly long wait for our food. We had just gotten off the boat(within the bubble) and we were starving. They need more people working that time of night so there's less of a wait time for such a small place. Food was still pretty good, menu as reduced though which was unexpected.

I recently returned for the Holidays and took my family out to Pizza Delight, we ordered a garlic finger and pizza, a donair and Alfredo. The Customer Service was great, the Donair and pizza was good. The only thing was the order was for Alfredo and got Chicken in it, when specifically asking for no chicken. The bread machine was down, but overall the experience was good!

Was disappointed in the wait time for initial acknowledgement from our server, wait time for drinks, food turnaround time, and the flavours. I remember Pizza Delight so fondly from my childhood, but unfortunately this location missed the mark. Restaurant was probably 3/4 full and seemed fully staffed. Our server was friendly, but that didn't save the meal unfortunately. I won't say it's an absolute place to avoid, but I have a hard time recommending it. As always, your mileage (experience) may vary.

We were out for my birthday. The waitress completely ignored us after we were seated. The food was good for the most part. However, it is disappointing that the restaurant has made some changes to the food to save money. As opposed to the garlic bread that they had before, they had two pieces of thin, barely toasted bread.

Arrived around 3pm on a Saturday. No other customers. Service was attentive and prompt, and food was excellent. Two of us with desert and tea was around $50 with tip, so not cheap; but still, the rare time we go (every few years), it's good. Would recommend.

You enter the place and see a lot of empty seats. Yet you wait for 15 minutes to be seated in a darkest place. The you order simple dishes and wait 45 minutes. Food is low quality, Including drinks, some needs to be redelivered. Service is bad. Nothing apart from general cleanness was positive about this joint. Avoid.

My husband's panini looked nothing like the picture in the menu. No roasted red peppers even though they were listed as a topping. Requested silverware and it didn't come. Grabbed our own from the counter. Requested a plate for my tea bag because the tea came as a bag floating in the cup with my fresh milk n the teapot. No plate, got up and grabbed one from the toasting station.

Pizza was floppy and undercooked, so was the garlic fingers. Soggy.... service is a big hit or miss. Did not get looked after properly, ex: no water refills, didnt ask how the food was, only dropped food off and never came back. Had to get my own napkins and my own plate for my pizza. And had to track someone down to pay. I could have just walked out. And none would have noticed. Poor.

The food wasn't even up to par for a Pizza Delight. The service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes to order our food and another 1/2 hour to eat. When we complained we were told "everyone waits". The restaurant was no where near full. Were never given desserts for the kids meals. Had to bring the food to the counter to have it boxed up. I can't remember ever waiting this long for this quality of food and then to have them act like it was some how our fault. If I find myself in Dalhousie again I will eat anywhere but.

Retaining fond memories of the restaurant from childhood, it really felt as if we were really let down. Service, honestly, was one of the worst I've experienced. After being seated, we were left to wait 15 minutes for anyone to service us; food, drink, starter, or side... After our order was taken, it took an additional 45 minutes of waiting before my father grew so impatient, he had to ask a waitress to, at the least, bring our salads. As for the food itself, it was hit-miss. My mother and brother's dishes were fine, but my father's shrimp dish was overcooked, and my Hawaiian was bland and unfortunately forgettable. I assume it's not the staff's fault though. Through everything, they still are very friendly and I believe the issue is that they're simply understaffed. Reading another review describe this issue as a multi-year problem for the restaurant, it's unfortunate that nothing has been done about it. If you're looking to eat, then possibly consider other options. However, if you're looking for a job opportunity, I believe their friendly staff would greatly appreciate another helping hand.

At one point she was actually eating at their table, and we had to call out to her to get her attention. Waiting in line was not bad but after being seated, it took about 15m before they came to our table. 2 of us ordered chicken Caesar and they didn't say much about it. My sister ordered the donair pizza and remember the commercial, " where's the beef! " enough said. I ordered their new donair with the stuff crust, which did not look like the picture at all. Can count on one hand how much meat was on mine..ffs. anyways they never offered straws for our cold drinks but yet offered it to the table next to us oh and their pizza kinda looked like a picture..hmmmm friends maybe? They asked if they wanted donair sauce for what they had but never asked my sister.. well first and last time for us.

By far the worst pizza delight that I have ever been to. 6 people at our table and 3 orders were completely wrong. Then my bill contained items that we didn't order. It took almost 10 minutes to explain why it was wrong ... then the lady provided another bill which was again wrong. ....omg .. Save yourself the head ache ...eat elsewhere

On a commencer a se demander si on nous avez oubliez et quand on a demandée au personel pour les menu on a eu le droit à une réponse très bête. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant yesterday. We waited almost an hour watched two tables who came in after us getting served rather quickly. We ordered a soup with our pizza after waiting 25 minutes and asking where it was 3 times it came out stuck to the sides of the bowl like it was microwaved and sitting for a long time I couldn't eat it because it was so incredibly salty. My husband ate it and I had to give him an aspirin later because his blood pressure was so high. It's like canned soup without the water added. By the time my meal came I didn't want it anymore. The girls who served us seemed annoyed and took the cost of the soup off trying to explain how they had 3 staff members quit that does not explain serving everyone else around us while we waited an hour. First time I have never left a tip. Worst 28.00 spent never again.

Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately told the buffet was shut down.We were seated and the waitress seemed annoyed that we were there.The waitress was rude,my son said he would like a cup of green tea ,she responded no.She answered in either no or yup.As I was recovering from an accident I explained that I was not feeling well,she was heard by us commenting to other staff,'she had better not be sick in my section'.I asked to have my meal in a takeout container,paid the bill and left.I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I stopped by here last Saturday before the midnight crossing on the ferry. First let me say I am very nervous when I go out to eat as I have celiac disease and a restaurant that mainly focuses on pizza is something I would normally avoid. I knew Pizza Delight had several "Gluten Sensitive" options and there did not appear to be any other options in Port Aux Basque that were specifically labeled Gluten Free. The server was very friendly and went to the Chef to clarify several questions I had regarding menu items. I also saw there were several liability statements on the menu saying they could not guarantee an item to be 100% safe for people with sever allergies or celiac disease, so I knew the risk before eating. As my options were limited, I took a chance with the cauliflower crust pizza. I was not disappointed! It was delicious, and I did not get sick via cross-contamination. I know sometimes it may seem like a "pain" to cater towards individuals with dietary restrictions, but the small act of using a clean utensil to cut the pizza can go a far way. I want to thank the staff working there!

Odd experience last week (Friday the 23rd around 6pm). Hostess seemed annoyed to have to clean a table for us. Server took 10 minutes to come to our table and then just stood there looking at us with her pen and pad. Said no words. (It was not busy). She dropped off the food and never came back. Super donairs were tasty. We come to Cavendish every summer but won't be back here.

Pizza delight is a typical pizza outlet in Atlantic canada. They provide all varieties pizza with usual accompaniments, soft drinks, wings etc. There's however nothing to distinguish between multiple similar outlets dotting Atlantic. Bargain hunters can look forward to flyers in their letter boxes. However those looking for a healthy, dietary no cheese no fat meal, ought to keep away, just like any other similar outlet.

Excellent service by our server Lisa. I had a Donair (she was surprised to hear I had never had one) and it was delicious. Fresh cooked slices of beef (I cannot reheated meat) with a delicious creamy sweet sauce all served on a bun. Everything was served hot and the price was less than you would expect in a tourist area. I recommend this restaurant.

We are big fans of this chain but unfortunately, the crust that we so love was missing at this location. It was rather undercooked. We stopped here for the buffet lunch which is a steal at $12.99 pp. The waitstaff was very pleasant and efficient. The salad was quite good. It is now my opinion that produce is exceptional on the island. The pasta on tap at the buffet was quite bland and not worth eating. As the pizza is the top attraction and the most disappointing, however, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were a group of 8. 2 had the chicken alfredo which was very dry as in very little alfredo sauce. They also had to ask for their garlic bread. We had 2 children, 1 asked for a 12 inch half pizza half garlic fingers which we have had done before in New Brunswick but they said they don't do this, so we ended up getting a garlic fingers and a pizza for him. The other little fellow asked for Kraft dinner and we ended up having to remind the waitress that he never got his. This was halfway through the meal. The rest of the meal was ok..
