We visited this waterfront restaurant with some friends who live in Campbell River, and they claimed they had better service in their prior visits. We waited over an hour for our meals to be served. I had the Salmon burger and it was tasty if somewhat messy. No one complained about their meals, so I suppose that's good. The price was above average, and while I would like to say you get what you pay for, the prices don't reflect any better taste than less costly establishments. The service was agonizingly slow, and that's unforgivable even if the views are nice.

The view on the patio overlooking the harbour was perfect. I had the seafood chowder and toasted focaccia bread which were both delicious. My wife had the lobster and shrimp roll with a house salad - these were both equally fantastic. The lobster roll had a bacon strip in it with abundant shrimp and lobster and arugula. It was especially delicious. Highly recommend.

Coming back from a trip to Quadra Island, my friend and I were looking for a place to grab some lunch. This restaurant was probably one of the only restaurants that was open on BC Day. I ordered the shrimp and lobster roll and it was absolutely delicious. It comes with your choice of salad or fries and I chose the salad. The roll was filling although a little difficult to eat without the shrimp dropping out of the roll and the salad was a good sized serving. Overall a delicious meal and it's nice to sit out on the patio overlooking the water. It can be quite cold though when sitting in the shade, even on a hot day.

Sitting on the patio on a sunny day is a great start to the meal. I was disappointed server did not tell us daily specials - heard another table being told them after we ordered. I felt the menu was good with lots of different options. Mac & cheese seems to be the side item on a number of items. I had seafood crepes. Tasted good, but I wish the seafood had been chunky instead of mush. I will not order it again. But we will return and try other items.

I had the Cajun Prawn Skillet and it was Fantastic. As for the service the server was awesome. I wasn't impressed with the service as I came in. It wasn't that busy and there were 3 servers standing chatting at the bar. I was told 3 times by the other servers who were busy that I would be seated. I stood there for awhile and asked to be seated by the ones chatting and they just looked at me upset that I interupted them and they ignored me. Another busy server came by to tell me I would be looked after. I said please take me to a table and he did.

Stopped in here for a late lunch to get out of the rain while walking the waterfront. Super-friendly staff and awesome location to sit on the patio to watch the harbour activity. Had the calamari, which was really good and definitely NOT greasy or boring. Also had the seafood chowder with chipotle, which was excellent. Would definitely recommend this great spot.

Delicious food and excellent service. Or family of four popped in for dinner on a spur-of-the-moment decision. It was a great decision. We all loved our meals, and had no complaints at all. The patio wasn't super crowded, and food came pretty quickly too. We decided everything and sent sparkling clean plates back to the kitchen in no time at all. Try the crab and shrimp roll (on a pretzel bun) - it is exceptional!!

Great meal and a perfect location on the dock watching the evening Harbour. Gloria was an amazing server and should consider a career in flying. We enjoyed the Pacific grilled salmon, tuna ahi salad, and fresh halibut crepes. A round of nice drinks and dessert. The bread pudding was amazing. Recommend for your post boating, fishing, hiking evening meals.

Waterfront view and great service. The tuna rocket salad was bland and had no taste, we had to ask for more dressing to add some flavour. The seafood chowder was the same, not much flavour so used pepper from the smallest pepper shaker I have ever seen. Fish tacos were good. Took off one star for the salad and one for the chowder. We were there Saturday about 2:00 PM and only two other tables had people.

The food here is delicious. The calamari is the best I've eaten and I've eaten a lot of it. My 3 year old girl just shoveled it in her. Four in our party and everyone thought the food was good. Desserts are to die for. I'd go back to this place in a heartbeat. I highly recommend

Wanted to enjoy a nice meal out at one of the better restaurants in Campbell River on Sunday evening, which is why we chose Quay West. I ordered the filet black and blue and when it arrived i was sadly disappointed. The menu boasted of caramalised onion on the filet and roasted vegetables, the onions were not caramalised and barely even cooked at all where as the roasted vegetables were burnt and one vegetable which neither i nor my girlfriend recognised, as it was black throughout, we were told later was a purple carrot. The serving was small and did not warrant the $28.50 charge for it. I complained about the meal and was told a bit later that if i send the meal back the chef will make some more caramalised onions, at that stage we were two thirds through our meal and so wasn't appropriate. I was disgusted that at the end of the meal they still expected me to pay for the whole meal, no discount offered for misrepresentation and poor quality of the meal i ordered. I will be complaining to the management in writing.

fantastic food, but total stupid disposition of the waitresses, really stupid. there is a upper area with about 10 tables on two waitresses share these, that means, one waitresse tales care of tables next to you and ignores YOU completly, even you have nothing to drink or used plates on your table - because its not her table (because her tables are 2 meter next from you) - greetings to the chef: thats a really bad disposition and guest feel stupid when tables to the next get stuff even they arrived 10minutes later, because the waitresse for the other area did not see us.

Was super excited to eat here for my birthday dinner while staying at the resort up the street (amaaaaazzzing by the way def recommend Dolphin Resort) too bad the service was so horrible. We arrived right before 545pm and were seated in the dog friendly area (only reason I give it 2 stars is because of them being dog friendly otherwise would be 1 star). We watched and waited while other people were seated and given menus, water etc. 20min or so min go by and finally a host comes by and says "oh you don't have menus" then goes back inside. By the time she came back with menus I was so frustrated we said thank you and left. Too bad as the weather was warm and we would have definitely enjoyed a couple cold bottles of white. No matter how good the food is at a place all it takes is bad service to kill the experience. Very disappointed.

My sister has been trying to get me to try this place with her for quite some time now and I always resisted because i like what I like and I had found a few good burgers other places. I tend to stick with what I know because i detest paying for food and finding out I dont like it lol. Well I was a fool because these burgers here are great. They come on these lovely chewy buns (buns are very important to me. Almost more than the actual burger itself). Anyway LOVE the buns! Plus the burger patty is homemade and not too big. Perfect bun/meat/topping ratio in my opinion. Awesome crispy fries too and the apple crisp is delightful. Definitely will be back, sorry I didn't go sooner.

Great restaurant. Visited it twice, both time with same friend. First time I have ordered sandwitch with steak and my friend fish&chips. Both meals were filling, with good price and extremally tasty. So tasty, that my friend described fish&chips as best he has ever eaten, and that was reason for coming there back again. Second time I have ordered deep fry chicken wings in sweet-chilli sauce and I received more than I could eat. Staff was also really friendly and efficent on both of the visits. I will recommend this place to any friend who will be visiting Campbell.

My husband and I went in for a BLT and clubhouse to find they were taken off the menu. The only sandwich was a grilled cheese and salami. All the burgers are served on a white bun. We ordered salmon burgers on multigrain bread. Part way into my salmon burger....oh, no, this is Farmed Salmon. Crossing this restaurant off my list.

The calamari appetizer was good. Good flavor and texture, a little greasier than I was expecting but still very good. I would order this again. Prawn and lobster mac and cheese was a large serving. Needed more chunks of lobster. A side of garlic bread or something to dip would have been good. The dish was a little dry. It was good, might order this again. The fish and chips, the chips were just regular fries, not bad, but nothing special. Two good size pieces of fish, one was good, the other had too much batter. I would not order this again. A little on the too greasy side for me. Very nice place to sit by the water. I will return and try something different on the menu. The patio was closed, looks like it would be a nice place to be on a sunny day, I was there at night.

Quay west was a good stop. Nice atmosphere. Sat right on the waterfront outside and good indoor seating available too. They teased me with the tuna poke tacos but did not have so four stars. Pulled pork tacos were a delicious stand in none the less.

Wonderful food, some of the best crab and shrimp cakes I've had and I've had them all over the world. The burgers are easier to eat with a fork and knife but being hand made, they were excellent, just tall. The seafood chowder was loaded and not just a broth with little bits in it, as is all too often the case. The drink they made for my wife, a snowflake I think? Was very good, tasted like a strawberry shake. Her turkey dip sandwich was unusual but very good as well. The service was spot on and attentive. Be aware the parking is a little tight if you're driving a larger vehicle.

Great view from the outside tables of the Strait of Georgia. Meal here was pretty good. We shared a bowl of the Chipotle chowder. It was really good and the portion size was great. My husband had the Qyay West burger and fries. He said it was really good. I had the coconut curry and rice. It was good. Lots of rice in the dish. I couldn't even finish the whole thing. Flavour could have been a little stronger as it was really quite mild. I ordered a caesar from the drink menu. They said sorry they ran out of worcestershire sauce and couldn't make me a caesar. What?? This is a true iconic Canadian drink. How can you not have worcestershire on hand. I noticed another couple got caesars after I tried to order one???? I asked to substitute the white rice in the coconut curry dish for quinoa. I noticed they had quinoa on the menu for another item. They said no they couldn't substitute it. What?? That's why I am giving it 3 stars out of 5. Service was ok. A little slow but I think we had a new server who was trying to get her bearings.

Ordered steak sandwich, sooo salty it was not edible. Ceasar salad soggy in wet sauce. Two bites of each, the rest was left on plate. No discount of any kind. If I could give no stars I would. Won't be returning to this place. Server was very inexperienced.

Seafood crepes was not a crepe. It was a casarole. It was suppose ro have salmon, scallops and red snappper. All I tastes was salmon. Pint f beer was $8.50!!! Are you kidding me. Never, ever again. Ripoff!!

Use to love coming here untill they changed the menu last summer! They use to have a nice steak section on there menu. A classy restaurant now serving french fries with there steak. Instead of fries i got a side of mash potatoes. But the plate presentation was so un appealing. Just a steak a mile away from a blop of potatoes on a clean white plate with no color or vegetables. it Use to be a more expensive treat type resturant that we use to go to for date nights. The display of food felt cheap and the food was bland. Service is great though as always! Dissapointed for sure.

Spacious patio overlooking the marina - lovely for late summer sunsets watching the cruise ships go by. They provide blankets when it's chilly. Nice moist salmon burger!
