Server was friendly. Seated quickly because we arrived before the lunch rush. Our order was taken quickly. But after that, things went badly. Waited over 45mins for our food (2 omelets and 1 wrap). We could see our "stuffed" hashed browns sitting under the heat lamp on the passbar for over 20 minutes. They were disgusting. My omelet was only so-so more like loaded scrambled eggs. My last visit here was also not great. I will not go back. Very unsatisfactory overall.

Food was good. Service was alright. The one star comes from the bathroom that you could smell from outside the bathroom. It was comparable to an out house in the hot summer sun. Mens and women's were both extremely disgusting. Obviously not cleaned or disinfected. If the bathroom isn't clean I can only assume the rest of the operation is lacking in hygiene.

The worst food and service I've ever experienced. My family and I ended up having the bill dropped due to chicken that tasted like fish and the wrap that was chalk full of brown lettuce and burnt toast ( the toast was returned and it came back burnt yet again). We walked out and will never go back because unfortunately this wasn't the first time we ended up eating somewhere else.

Great service today. It was slow to get service & food, but our server rolled qith it like a pro. We ordered 2 patty melts & fish and chips. Patty melts were so underwhelming. A small patty, with a few half cooked onions, and the beef barley soup lacked flavor & depth. The fish had a strong fishy smell that is not usual for fish & chips. We were looking for greasy comfirt fiod, & they did not deliver.

Review had to drop due to the fact last 3 times I've been in they had no smoked salmon for there benny. Although Amazing. The best benny's I've ever had the waitress is super sweet and remembers you when you come in right down to the detail of how you like your eggs or an add on for your food. Kitchen could pay more attention but they always fix anything they mess up and never complain about it.

The last three times had to wait over 45 minutes for the food to be severe. Use to be are breakfast place to go but not anymore after today. Thought we give it one more try. Waited 10 minutes for a seat and some other people came in and they seated them be for us. We should have listened to the waiters last time when she was complaining about how long it took to get the food out.

Major Covid protocol violations. Greatly disappointed. Had to leave today before eating due to failures to follow health protocol for Covid 19. Last time we visited we mentioned to the owner that a staff member was walking around with no masks. We returned today and there were 2 if not more staff not wearing mask behind the counter. We got up and mentioned to the staff our concerns then left. Very disappointed, we enjoyed the food. #Pandemic not over.

I ordered a wrap this morning and had to leave so got it go. I could see thru to the kitchen and they actually microwaved my egg. I was starving and in a hurry, the nice waitress offered me my money back but I said no.When I went to eat it the cheese fell out as it was cold, no flavor and 7hours later I am still having trouble digesting it... i paid 10.50 for what may have been worth 3.00 .. I called and they said they microwave all scrabbled eggs.. they should put that on their menu, i am shocked and disgusted...

We came here for a family reunion brunch on Mother's Day and were not disappointed! This is a beautiful restaurant, log-cabin style, with delicious food at a good price. Our server was warm and friendly, always making sure our coffee mugs and water glasses were full, and I would definitely come again. Gorgeous wood carvings in the lobby as well. Try any of the Eggs Benedict!

Best place I have eaten at in a long time. The portions are huge! And the staff are fast and friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu items. THE FOOD!!!!! It is so full of flavour, tastes like a really good home cooked meal. I could go on and on about the food. Have not been this impressed in years! If you haven't been there, make the trip. It will be worth it. I know I will go back next time I'm in Campbell River. I don't even need to try another restaurant there cause I found the best one already!

Great service. Just great. But today I had to walk out while I was waiting for my meal I was waiting and there was a huge fly on the window beside me. So I stood up to another spot and there was another fly, so i killed it. A minute later another fly came to the window and I looked around and realized there was several large flys everywhere and the window was filthy hasn’t been cleaned forever dead flys lying around from previous peoples , flys mean maggots means I’m not paying cash to go there sorry

Unique log cabin style family restaurant in Campbell River BC. Food was decent. Wife had the chicken burger, i had salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and a few veg. Wife gave me her bun as my meal didn't come with any thing to mop up the gravy!! Lol..the fried chicken in her meal was really good though!

I got there early Sunday morning. I was passing through and thought I’d go to a quiet local place. I was wrong on the quiet. 6am on a Sunday and this place was bumping. We were there for a soft opening of smoked food. I had the burnt ends which is off the brisket and they melted in your mouth. I then had a brisket on a baguette with a dip. So good. My wife had a smoked turkey smoked bacon clubhouse and we finished with a blackberry cheesecake.. Omg

It is busy Sunday lunch hour, so service is a bit lacking. Food tasted great. BUT they ran out of too many food items. Management needs to reevaluate food stocks ahead of the weekend. There were multiple black boards displaying the daily feature, but they were out of 2/3 items. (so erase them) Also heard waitress listing off other items not available: steak, smoked salmon...That is not good.

My children took me for breakfast on Monday the 15, it was awful, no other word for it. It was also cold the two omelets were a mess, sent them back, they were returned Lukewarm. I had 1/2 a Benny and the hollandaise sauce was separated. The meals were just slapped on the plate no effort at all to presentation.

Stopped here early one morning last week as we were in town. Cute, cozy, country-feel place! We tried one of their many egg bennies; we tried the shrimp benny and the smoked salmon benny. Both were really fresh and delicious and the coffee and tea were pretty good. Two things we didn't like were: when the server asked us what we wanted as a side, she didn't tell us that the option for the loaded shredded potatoes was an extra charge, and we didn't find that out till we got our bill! It was $3 extra each! Also, the tea was $3.75 and the coffee was $2 something...I think that's a bit much for just one tea bag and some hot water...other than that, the server was really friendly and the service was fast. ???? Also, they have a $5.99 breakfast all day ????

Basic food I had half order of the Greek eggs Benedict and a stuffed hash . I had no sour cream in my stuffed hash. I had burnt potatoes in my hash. There was no feta on my Benny. And there was barely any spinach. I actually added salt to my dish. It filled me up but $20 was steep for the size. Especially knowing I wanted to try something different and I usually go to the crooked spoon, ideal cafe, beachfire or riptide pub.

Super disappointing. If you look at who goes there it should tell you about how they cook food. It's mostly older people with no taste pallet left. Gave them a third try today and I regret it. What a waste of 40$ for two people's take out breakfast not even worth 5$.

Our experience was terrible. My aunt and I went to have lunch and were the first ones there for the second lunch rush... They seated us politely and took our order i ok timing but as time went on we watched the restaurant fill up and all the other tables get served their lunches first ???? and then they didn't have my aunts order after they served everyone one else who did not have brown skin they offered free lumch for her because they messed up 3 times on her meal and gVe us coupons but I still would not recommend it for anyone or go there ever again they are jyst awful

Delicious and affordable brunch, and wonderful friendly service. Went there twice during my week in Campbell River. Shredded hash browns were great and we loved the Eggs Benny. Highly recommend!

The hash browns in my breakfast were the worst I have ever had - what wasn't obviously old and overcooked wasn't cooked. And the waitress admitted that they were not freshly prepared. She did take money off and was gracious about it. She did her job but I wish the cooks had done theirs. The sausages were undercooked, the pancake stodgy and the presentation smacked of a lack of care - when do you put the food on top of the garnish? The whole place looked as if it were struggling - display cases with empty shelves or near empty, with pies and desserts tightly wrapped under plastic made you wonder how long they had been there. My advice would be to.look elsewhere

Amazing food, some of the best diner style food in all of Western Canada. Definitely a local hidden gem. Monte Cristo sandwich, chicken cordon bleu burger, poutines, chowder, you name it they have it and it's excellent. Service started off a bit rocky but the restaurant was packed. As soon as some of the tables cleared out, our server seemed much more relaxed (we had a party of 11). Our family will definitely come back.
