Mike's Sushi has a great location by Campbell River waterfront. Prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh. My problem is learning the identity of items listed on the menu including what they taste like. I generally love the Japanese spices anyway so no matter what you order it's a rewarding experience. My brother in law ordered a salad that looked like green seaweed noodles with shredded carrots on top. No idea what it was.

Better than most sushi places. Their ricevinegar must have less sugar because it's not grossly sweet. Smaller bites would be nice though. Hard to bite them in half

My 2nd time here, disappointed again, won't be back again. No private booth areas inside, just tables. Can get very noisy (echo) inside. Prices are normal. Need to do a better job of keeping the windows clean. Came in for lunch, you'd expect that the floors would be swept for night before. They were not. Saki was barely warm. Was a big gut bomb for food. Nigiri rice was dry and very starchy Fish was warm. Ordered tuna roll, got spicy tuna. Ordered sashimi, got nigiri. Roll were not tight. Visually, looked better than it was. Sushi taste in mouth all day.

I go there all the time and yes the decor isn’t great but I’ve almost always had great service. Once when they were short staffed a bit slow but food IS ALWAYS very good and prices are reasonable. Great fresh sashimi...fresh oil for tempura....crispy and light. Yummy! I love Mikis:)))

Make sure to wear snug shoes or you might lose your sandals on the sticky floors. If you enjoy the scent of garbage dumpster, be sure to dine on the deck next to the spider webs. Food is good..Great place for take out ????

Had the assorted tempura. 4 delicious prawns with many assorted vegetables. It was very good. The tempura was light and cooked to a light golden crispness.

I visited the place yesterday with my friends. It was the first time I had sushi in my life and I took help from the waitress for suggestions. She suggested us Torched Tuna and a few other dishes (sorry, I don't remember the names) from the menu which included both sushis and tempuras. All the dishes were excellent and I don't have words to express how good it was especially the Torched Tuna????. I would strongly recommend the place to anyone who is looking for some Japanese food. I wish I got a table on the open terrace that overlooks the marina and the Piers but the restaurant was a bit busy and the tables were occupied. The service was excellent too with very friendly staff. I look forward to visiting the place very soon. The only thing I regret is that I didn't visit the place before yesterday. ???? Thanks Miki's Sesame Sushi for making my day.

Used to be amazing but, since it closed and re-opend has not been as good. Love the people and the price is pretty good. is not as apeeling as it used to be. They need to be doing quality checking with customers. I hope it can come back I used to love this place.

It was our favorite place but the service was less than terrible the last few times. We couldn’t even get a water refill because we couldn’t get the attention of the waitress. Not even tip worthy. It kk da feels dirty in there these days too.

Excellent salmon sashimi - we have salmon sashimi in many Japanese restaurants, and this is truly one of the best. We always look forward to coming here during our annual visits to Campbell River. The rolls though, not impressed - way too much rice and sauces. Still figuring out what else worthwhile ordering other than the salmon sashimi....

Just okay. The prices are good and the sushi is fine, nothing special though. Great view but the atmosphere is lacking, extremely noisy. When they first opened they were amazing but quality and service has gone down. If more attention was paid to cleanliness and a better floor plan for seating it would be much better.

The food here is so good! We had stopped going to Miki's for awhile because the service was just SO SLOW. Lunch time and 4pm are the best times to come if you want quick service. I haven't been here for dinner for quite some time though, so I don't really know if the service has improved or not.

Meal was wonderful. Sushi was fresh and delious. Generous portion of pork katsu that my boyfriend raved about. Gluten free soy sauce available. Staff was very busy but super friendly and responsive.

Lousy service. Ordered our usual unchanging order and they got it wrong. We asked if we could bring back the wrong item to trade it in and they said no. We had to keep it even if we didnt like it and would not swap it for our usual dish, and were rude to us. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Its not like we did this on purpose. We usually order there once a week, but will not be going back.

I’ve came to Campbell River twice now and they stop serving 15 minutes before they close which is a bit odd, I found the dining experience nice and quiet outside with a beautiful view, and lunch is definetly the best time to go. The waitress was friendly this time around, mentioned they were short staffed but the place doesn’t get that busy. and I could see that from owners not the servers fault they are short staffed as I was a prior professional server and manager at a five star sushi restaurant I know and had to learn to run a full restaurant alone and did well with it loved it all About Time management. the food is excellent I have no complaints what so ever, they could work on the customer service better that is for sure from the staff and maybe deep fry the food a tad bit longer I highly recommend the sushi at this restaurant :).

Not so sure after the first time buying from there, order wasn't ready when I came to pick it up even though I'd ordered 3 hours previously. Staff seem to be tripping over each other in such a small prep space, owner had to constantly remind one of the staff that I was waiting for a particular item, the knot tied on the bag slipped when I picked it up and my food fell on the floor, not out but looked terrible when I opened the packages at home and the taste was so-so...could be just getting up and running but they have already had many years in business at another location...I'll maybe try again but do prefer another sushi place on Shoppers Row..

So so sushi place it boarders on gas station sushi and mall sushi. The rice tasted a day old, the raw sushi tasted like it was left out for the day or put under a warmer, the sushi is not cut properly or at all, the tempura was overcooked especially the prawns also the deep fried veggies was barely intact it also looked like someone sat on it; I remember the first year moving here ppl would rave about this sushi place before the fire but now reopened the only thing I can say that is positive is the price if I am ever needing sushi but not spend a lot and don’t want superstore sushi there is Mikis but other then those occasions I rather stick to Sushi Mong or jo.

The on my reason it get 3 stars is because it was such a beautiful view sitting on the deck. Took way to long for the 2 waitresses to take our order, it wasnt busy. Served us coffee with no cream and sugar, then only gave us 1 spoon for our 2 coffees. Served our sumono soup with nothing to eat it with, had to find them to ask for chop sticks. Took for ever getting the rest of our food, they didn't know what table they were going to then when they got to us didn't listen to us tell them who's was who's. Had to get our own soy sauce. Never asked how it was or gave us more to drink. Forgot to give us tempura sauce and added a soup to our bill.. I think that's all but you get the point, nothing was right. The food was good though and the waitress that was starting as we were leaving seemed like she would actually be able to do her job.

Have gone numerous times, must say everything I have tried has been great, and fresh. The location gives off a very casual vibe, but in the later time of the day, still a very great location for a date or family gathering. Their prices are superb, considering they are ocean front! I try to bring anyone who is visiting from elsewhere to this place, and they always love it.

The place is located on the second floor, which provides a great view of the water. The cleanliness, is okay. The food is great for the price. The rolls are huge, and taste great! I ordered the French kiss, and it tasted yummy.Great mix of flavour and texture. The takoyaki was alright, it was a little undercook inside.

Used to absolutely love this place, it had "non-traditional" and traditional Sushi that was always cooked and prepared great. However, later to find out the actual cleanliness of the place was treacherous which then explained why I ended up sick multiple times after eating there within 48hrs. The staff was normally always friendly, however the service (waiting time to even order a drink and the wait time on getting your food once you've ordered even when it was slow) was pretty terrible all the time. I have since stopped going to this Sushi Restaurant.

The food is always really good, the deck is so nice to sit out and enjoy the sun & scenery but the service is inconsistent. I would recommend this place for their food & location! Parking is very tricky too but is to be expected in this part of town!

Don't bother coming here, the service is absolutely trash and I've had to wait 20+ minutes for mediocre stale food on several occasions. Go to sushi mong. They are way faster, it's not loud, there aren't flies buzzing around and the waiters/waitresses actually do their job.

Bring your hearing protection, my dad really does not like it here because it is too loud. However I enjoy because the food is very good and I get the freaking view of BOATS!! Try the Philidelphia roll!

We always go here when we visit our mum in CR. Delicious sushi! There aren't that many options in town, and this is definitely the best. Eat-in or take-out are both great, but the ocean view from the patio is beautiful. Try their Halloween Roll - it's the best sushi roll I've ever had, and I live in Vancouver!

NEVER AGAIN! This is not the first bad experience, but it was the last! Went here for lunch with friends and when we were walking to our table my flip flop literally stuck to the floor and my foot came out of it!! No joke!!! The tables were so sticky, and all the dishes were greasy, and the soy bottle was caked in gross rice and sticky stuff. The food was and is mediocre at best. My usual roll tasted like it had been made the day before, usually it’s topped with fresh deep fried scallops on the top, they were cold and it was awful. I honestly wish I hadn’t eaten it.... never again will I go back and I used to love this place....

The food tastes good. Worst customer service ever! We were greeted with ‘oh my God’ when we asked for a table for 6.The restaurant was not even full! They won’t change our pork gyoza with a vegetable gyoza from the dynamite lunch box. These little gesture for people allergetic to pork are always honored! Will never ever go back!
