STOP!!!..before you order anything to be delivered from here!!! I just ordered chicken wings and beef noodles from Best Wok and I do believe it was the worst meal I have ever had. The chicken wings were bad...as in they had gone off. I thought that maybe they were just having an off night but when I phoned, the gal said that they had been having quite a few complaints over the last two days....so have they been sending out bad chicken for two days??? Anyway, the wings and noodles were saturated in grease. I had to take everything to the outside garbage can because the smell was so bad. Please.....do yourself a favour and order a pizza. Please note...I rated them one star because I was unable to post this with no stars.

Great value for your coin. This was our second visit this month and have been impressed with the meals both times. Really enjoyed the tableless buffet last visit and the noodle bowls this visit. Will be back!

Literally the saddest Chinese food I’ve ever ate. Sweet sauce is usually red no idea what this is... beef and broccoli should have a thick brown sauce not this weird liquidy thing... but to be honest I have yet to find a good Chinese place in this town. Guess I’ll just have to deal with the fact I don’t get east coast Chinese anymore (MUCH tastier)

I have revised my review from 5 to 1. New owners from Port Alberni took over and have changed it. For over 20 years I faithfully ordered here. After time away I would always order 3 Ginger Beef to bring me back home. Joe, Jackie, and Bobo kept making it the same way throughout their ownerships during that time. I recently returned home and found my 3 orders to be the same junk I get everywhere else. The magic is gone. It's been a good run, I guess nothing lasts forever.

Ordered combo meal (4 in 1) of chicken chowmein, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork and honey garlic pork. Honestly food was quite bland and it tasted like microwaved food. Price and portions are decent, but not fresh food at all

Don't know why I waited so long to try this restaurant. The portions are huge and the prices are decent. They have a buffet that had lots of options and everything was super fresh. I'll definitely be back.

The food tastes strange, as if the cooking oil needs changing. Chop Suey is full of celery and very little meat. Chowmein was bland. Dry Garlic & Sweet & sour pork was okay but tough to chew. Prawns were tough. Nothing seemed fresh.

Tonight the phoned in take out was 2 hours arriving at our home. Called in after 1 hour. Total confusion at their end. Cancelled after 1.5 hours and food arrived at the 2 hour mark. Refused it.

Great quality food. The buffet is fairly small but very fresh. The driftwood has a much bigger selection but of course is way out of town.

I am very sad to say that this delivery was just deep fried prepackaged frozen bar food...bland...plain and nothing special, in fact way to greasy..could not finish it..chow mein was a disaster to look at..this used to be a great restaurant with the previous owner but has turned into another common fry up...almond chicken was hard and dry...spring rolls soggy...sauces were predictable and reject able...sweet and sour chicken was shameful, sorry but true...won't be ordering again...just boring, tasteless and ...awful!

In a word bland. I did order my "hot and spicy ginger beef" medium heat. But it had zero hear or flavour. The rest of the meal was just as bland. The interior was quite nice as we the waitress.

We were happy. First time there. The server was great. The place looked better and felt cleaner then the Rose Bowl.. The selection was also better than at the Rose Bowl. Why I mention Rose Bowl is because we walked in and walked right out. Seemed like a dirty place. Maybe their food is good? But we wernt trying it. Everything at Best Wok had good individual flavor. The wontons were yummy! Downside tho the desserts however seemed old. Could taste fridge taste in the cake and the jello had a very hard layer on top like its been sitting in the fridge too long..

Some of my best memories are here. Staff is always friendly and helpful and very mindful of on-going conversations. Bathrooms are neat and tidy every time I visit and it's rarely too over crowded.

First time there for buffet. The server was very friendly. the buffet had no labels to show you what the food was. The soup bowls had stuff stuck to the inside for three of the ones that we picked up and so did a few of the plates. The food was lukewarm to cold. My husband said the same thing. Told the waitress and was told they couldn't do anything about the bill due to nothing being wrong with the food. Was very disappointed for sure.

We had the sweet and sour pork also some chicken and I have never had food that was so chewy. Neither chicken or pork should ever be chewy, definitely not fresh seems like they're cheaping out on purchasing fresh ingredients. Disappointing as we try and support local.

Husband said this place was good back in the day but what we got today was not. Spicy gingerbeef was not spicy or gingery. Chicken chowmen was more like flavorless Ramon noodles with unseasoned chicken. Thank god for soya sauce or everything would taste like nothing. We didnt order any oily dishes but everything was covered I a thick coat of oil like someone pored cooking oil in the bottom of the bag, our chopsticks and soya sauce was floating in clear oil.
