We have ordered pick up from this restaurant once before and loved the food! We were very impressed the fries travelled quite well and made it to us crispy and mouth watering. Because of this positive experience it got me craving some more Bruce chow - so we decided to try our luck and see if we could dine in on the patio. We showed up as walk-ins but as luck would have it we were able to score a table and had just as great of a meal in-house as we did taking out. We will absolutely be returning to the Bruce in the very near future. Thank you to the staff for a great meal and exceptional service. You are what fantastic, delicious food and a positive dining experience is all about!

Went about 5 weeks ago but haven't had the time to post. For the reputation it attempts for, and the "fine" setting, the restaurant itself is horrible. I went with a few people and NOT ONE dish was correct. I am infinitely thankful that I was capable of talking two of my four companions out of trying the most expensive and complex dishes [Beef wellington] if the cooks can't even get a SIMPLE dish correct. One friend had pork schnitzel - they somehow ended up with someone's gnocchi poutine and part of the schnitzel dish. The other person ended up with part of their gnocchi and part of the schnitzel dish. And the server had the nerve of getting huffy when asked to have this garbage taken back. I tried the clam chowder ... OMG... what horrible clam chowder. Clam chowder is supposed to have a certain taste and I have TRIED clam chowder in some of the best known New England restaurants and this didn't even come close. Too salty and hardly any flavour. My fourth friend had the haddock & fries with a nice serving of SALAD dressing for "tartar sauce". As it was some sort of a creamy salad dressing [ranch] my friend put it on their fish and then had a bite. I tried it myself... if that is what this place passes as tartar sauce it must have been rancid.

Ayce breakfast/lunch. Shrimp and mussels... turkey was tasty, bacon/ham nice maple glazed. Apple cider infused with a little pumpkin spice was very refreshing. Heart soup with old aged bread and typical omelette station. Just a little noisy. Salad seemed fresh and varied. Service was great. Desserts looked/tasty but I didn't have any. Wife had sangria but a fly in it... ruined it. Server replaced it though. Would come again.

We just ordered this for delivery and everything is cold. My salad was like it was left out all day the pizza was extremely greasy and hard. My pasta has a weird sour taste which I’m not sure what that is and I don’t want to think about it. Extremely over priced for the quality. Would not recommend this place.

Without a word of exaggeration, I had one of the best burgers of my life here. The "hamberder" was everything a burger should be: juicy, meaty, and not dominated by bun and toppings. The restaurant is clean and well thought out. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Fries were slightly under - cooked, but a minor issue compared to the quality on display elsewhere in the restaurant. I would heartily recommend.

Buddy Bob came for a visit and said to pick out a restaurant, l goggled and found the Bruce Craft House. This place serves great food. We had the chicken pot pie and a burger. They were to die for, the burger was very moist and the chicken pot pie was the very best that l have ever had. Definitely will be back. Can't wait.

Very nicely decorated. Our server was Tara very unobtrusive but checked on us periodically. You don't always want someone hovering. I had the Mushroom Chicken seemed like a small portion when she brought it up to table but more than enough food on the plate! Tried the Vanilla Pavlova for dessert again seemed small but with the meringue, lemon curd & raspberry it was very rich! The whole meal was extremely tasty. Loved the couple of hours spent there no rushing us out the door either. Just FYI the bathroom was spotless & again beautifully decorated.

I had been wanting to try the Bruce for a while now and I am glad we did! I had the sausage penne and it was delicious. It was a very comfortable atmosphere with a touch of romance. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It seems they have specials during the week. I would like to go again sometime.

Bartender was great when she took my order but after a few minutes after she told a customer she drank five bottles of wine ???? a week and that there house wine I started to wonder after 10 doubles which is 20 singles she tells me after I came in from a smoke I’m cut off. (Thank. ) I ordered food to take to my room earlier for 8 o’clock she said call us So here it is 715 I ordered my food which was a $34 ribeye steak ???? And I get it at 9:15 I only wish I remembered her name but I can’t tell you but she knows who she is and thanks you could’ve got a better tip

Honestly stopped in for a quick beverage on our travels and could not be more impressed. The barstaff here was so personable, funny, attentive and knowledgeable. Instantly the laughter started rolling and *Breyla (sp?) and the other blonde bartender absolutely crushed it. They took us through the menus and then the sous chef personally crafted us with a great selection of tastes from the menu. Honestly, y'all know how to make some people feel like celebrities. Thank you so much for the experience, we'll definitely be back! (on a side note, I highly recommend mgmt considering adding a platter like this to the menu. The hot/cold balance + presentation + effort was above and beyond the call of duty and our expectations!)

Never been to their patio before. I thought it was a great way to end a vacation weekend/ anniversary. The food was all around pretty good. The only complaint I would have about the food was the nachos were pretty bare. The service is a different story, waited 10 minutes after my first drink was done to even be asked for a second one. After the server dropped off our food , she Never came back to check up on us or ask if we wanted more drinks. We ordered a second round of apps, again no check up on quality or drinks. We didn't enjoy the second round as much as the first. But couldn't find out server to tell her what was wrong. I would return for the food, but not the service.

Buffet has powedered eggs. Pancakes powedered. No toast. Food, in general is mediocre at best. Many trays were missing food for 5-10 mins so people were waiting around not being able to get food. Not worthy of the quality of room stay in this hotel.

Fairly decent for a hotel restaurant. There were slight improvements that could be made to the dishes but overall they were decent. Service is decent as well, room for improvement but pleasant. The real strength is the bar which is well stocked with common top shelf beverages.

My family and I drove from Brantford because it was recommended from a friend and we were told the patio wasn't open and they were just so busy.....meanwhile there was one table in the whole restaurant. Never had such crappy service in my life I'm going to let everyone know how bad the service was for hotel restaurant. Just a terrible ????????????????

We were staying at the Cambridge hotel and decided to try out the Bruce Craft House because of its location. What a disappointment! My husband ordered steak tacos - each of the four tiny tacos had one tiny slice of beef in it and a few veggies. There was maybe one ounce of steak total. I ordered a chicken rice bowl which sounded delicious on the menu but was disappointing as well. There was one small piece of chicken, plain white rice, raw bean sprouts, raw and grilled green onion and a fried egg. No flavour at all - I actually thought the kitchen had forgotten to add something because it was so bland. They did send some of the chicken marinade and soy sauce when I questioned it but it was still a very disappointing meal. We had our three year old daughter with us and ordered her a pepperoni pizza from the 'kids menu'. What came out was a full size pizza with an incredibly limp and soggy crust, yet also partially burnt. I'm not even sure how that's possible... My daughter is not a pizza conisseur by any means but even she thought it was gross and I had to agree. It's pretty sad when you have to fill up on snacks after dinner. The restaurant does look nice and the staff was reasonably helpful but I'd definitely not recommend this place. There are other restaurants nearby that would make a much better choice.

Used to be one of my favourite dinner spots when they just opened. Since then we’ve returned twice, both times they were under staffed, service was pretty slow and waitress made some mistakes, which is totally understandable considering all the tables she was trying to tend to. Unacceptable that management isn’t staffing this place adequately. Food quality went down as well or maybe it’s the bad service that made the meal seem less enjoyable. Unfortunately wouldn’t come back. Sucks because I used to REALLY enjoy this place.

This was a very poorly organised restaurant, I wouldn't recommend going. We went there for breakfast, as we had vouchers from the wedding we are attending. The restaurant was busy so there wasn't any seating available for us, so we sat at the bar to eat our breakfast. No one from the staff asked us if we wanted any coffee or how breakfast worked. We saw others just going up and getting the buffet so we joined them. Not one staff member talked to us. We just left our vouchers on the bar table as we didn't know what to do with them. I'm just thankful that we had vouchers as I would not be paying for this meal.

Not a great experience - ate lunch here two days in a row as I am a guest in the hotel; first lunch I waited 40 minutes, maybe longer, for my food even though there was no one else in the restaurant and all I ordered was tacos. Tacos themselves were good but not great and quite small. Lunch the second day, service was certainly faster but my order was incorrect and I had to wait for it to be fixed. Again, the dish I had was good but not great. The menu has a pretty limited selection overall. If it wasn’t attached to the hotel I wouldn’t eat here again.

By far the worst pizza I have ever had. I travel a lot for work and have literally never had such a bad experience. First issue, our spicy pizza took 45 minutes because they ran out of a certain topping and never called us to let us know. Issue number 2 the pizza came cold and it looked like something out of a craft dinner box. Issue 3 they forgot my hot sauce salt and pepper had to call down to get it sent up. Issue 4 the pizza was mushy and had zero flavour and there was nothing spicy about it. We would of been better off ordering your traditional take out pizza joint and for less. 17 dollars plus 15% tip plus a delivery fee to bring up to your room (never heard of this before) was not worth it. Service was horrible and the food was even worse.

I really had a problem with the fruit that was offered for breakfast. Many years ago, I worked in food service and knew what was suitable to put out for my customers. The bowl of fruit offered in this restaurant was very old. Only honeydew melon and a few grapes were in the bow. The next day, I was almost excited to see a new fruit bowl, only to see that they had added more fruit on top of the same old melon. I know for a fact, that this is a health violation. The bowl should be emptied at the end of the day, bowl washed and re filled with fresh. Also, hot food was cold and no tea or coffee offered.

We stopped by as it’s in the hotel we are staying at. We really enjoyed the food. I had macaroni and cheese, it was delish you could tell that the cheese sauce was made from scratch. My husband had a chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was cooked wonderfully. I had some sort of toffee dessert and it was really good, it wasn’t overly sugary sweet but was full of flavour. Our server was the manager I believe and she was extremely friendly and attentive. The decor and style is really nice as well and the prices were incredibly fair. Will be eating here lots while we are in town.

Came here on a weekdays for lunch so the place wasnt busy. The restaurant is just off the highway inside the Cambridge conference hotel so parking was easy. The pizza is a must try! Also liked their small selection of craft beers. The pizza was so good we had to came back for next day lunch on our way back to Toronto.

OMG Heaven. They have a Duck Pastrami Rueben (all from loving scratch) with shoestring cut fries, blueberry ketchup and I added a "smoked, roasted chicken gravy" to dip the fries in....even the pickle Rocked from "The Bruce" in the Cambridge Inn in....wait for it...????????????... Cambridge. The whole menu was fun and Wow!!! The craft beer was varied and tasty and new. Those that know me know I'm not surprised often. ???????????????? — loved the Bruce Restaurant and Lounge.

Their menu has a lot of variety from standard fare (wings, steak, burgers, fish and chips) to other options like Bao Buns and Jerk Chicken. No snacks like peanuts or pork rinds to snack on though which would be nice.

The renovations are unbelievable. My fiancé and I love the breakfast when ever we stay. We also love to come try the amazing craft beer on tap and the new stone oven pizzas are to die for. HIGHLY recommend trying it.

My aunt gave me a piece of her pizza and I still left hungry. Meals: Disappointing Menu: Disappointing Service: Great Presentation of food: Great Wait time for food: surprisingly long. I thought they must have gone to the market to buy the ingredients. The grilled brie was supposed to be hot but it was hardly even warm. Everybody at the table commented on this. Summary: the service was great, the food presentation was very nice but prices were above average for what we got, portion sizes were small and the food wasn't anything special. Bottom line: Would not recommend and will not return.

I had the lobster sandwich, I had to spit it out, the lobster tasted of what I could only describe as food posioning. All 10 dishes were poorly done, many of which sent back, only for their second dish to be poor aswell. Will never go back. The waitress did a fine job serving us, unfortunately the manager on staff sent her to take the bulk of the critiszm from the table and only came to speak with us after we requested, she was very blunt, rude and all around handled the situation very poorly. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. Repulsive lobster.

The chairs are amazingly comfortable, the wait staff are super friendly, and the food itself is amazing. There was live music when I went and the musician was amazing. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a good local place to eat.

We celebrated our 13 year wedding anniversary at the Bruce Craft House last night. The restaurant was not very busy - but the service was incredible. Food was very tasty. We had the calamari, Salmon and Steak. My husband ordered his steak rare and it came closer to Medium Rare but he said it tasted very good. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and was not dried out at all. We both had fries - they were the best fries around! The only downside was the dessert menu was lacking more classic items and had nothing that was Gluten Friendly. It seemed the dessert menu didn't match the restaurant menu very well (it was more catered to a family restaurant with items like Smores Pizza and Funnel cake). We were given a surprise mouse that was meant for a wedding tasting as an anniversary "gift" . It was so decadent and delicious that I would encourage them to add it to their regular dessert rotations! Overall we were pleasantly surprised and will likely go back!

Just love the new look. I always enjoy staying at the Hotel, Service is extraordinary, food is awesome. Chef is always willing the please. Will definitely return. The new Pizza oven makes the best pizzas.

I have eaten here several times, once with my husband, twice after a continuing education seminar at the hotel. The menu selection is varied and creative, the food is good, the presenation outstanding, the decor inviting, and the service excellent! Highly recommend.

Was there on Wednesday. Ordered a Four Father's beer, made 45 minutes away. Was shocked at the price at the end $ 9.00 dollars. Way too much. Waitress was very nice. But explained the reason was that minimum wage went up, so did the price of beer. I am sure The Mill will not go bankrupt. I probably will not be returning.

We came to The Bruce after leaving another restaurant where we waited half an hour to speak to our waiter. The Bruce made our evening great. The staff was attentive and friendly, the food wss great and the lively crowd of other patrons gave a great ambiance. We will be back.
