At the moment the business gets a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is very high, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Pizza restaurant.
Fantastic service and absolutely delicious pizza. Wine was quite good too.
From the outside Piatto's looks very upscale and you should be dressing up. When inside you find a great place to kick back and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. Homemade pasta. Woodfired pizza. Beer tasting and wine tasting. You can bring friends and family, wear jeans or dress clothes either way the staff make sure you are comfortable. Great place with great food!!!
Great food and very professional service
It was good for an Italian place. Totally depends on your taste. The staff is super nice as well
Excellent wood oven pizza. A good selection of pizzas and pastas. I can't wait to go back again.
Cute little italian restaurant. Good atmosphere. Good food for the price. Good size menu with a selection of apps, a few pastas and lots of pizzas. Small but good drink menu selection.
Good quality. Touch pricey
We went on a Sunday night, two other tables in there, Server gets the one star because she was efficient. The managing of the restaurant is very poor. We waited 30 minutes for 3 of the 4 of our overpriced average pizzas to come to the table and then had to wait another 20 minutes for the 4th pizza to come out. They blamed that on the fact it was gluten free and it is harder to cook! Pizza crust looks and tastes like the $1.99 Pita bread I buy at Food Basics!.You've been warned. These are wood fired pizzas that shouldnt take long at all to cook. Safe your money don't go.
Great pizza!
Excellent! Our server was fantastic and the food was great!
Amazing service!! I made an order through Uber eats however only part of the order was delivered. I called the restaurant and the owner worked quickly to resolve the issue. He personally delivered the missed items and was genuinely sorry for the mistake. The food was amazing and probably the best pizza in town.
Food was bland, burnt, uncooked or cold! Sauce has no flavour and when we asked for salt they “forgot” along with any other extras we tried to get to make it better with. They remade the cold and burnt meal (I’m assuming they forgot about it and tried to recook it) bur it came out worse then the first, the other we replaced for a different idea on the menu because the first was uncooked and cold and they proceeded to charge us for the first item ordered every though it wasn’t eaten. That’s 3 different meals off the means, all were terrible. When we questioned it the server proceeded to slam her hand down to get the recipe and when we asked to speak to the manager she was unapologetic and rude. I have never wrote a review before about ANY restaurant before but everyone needs to be warned. If I could give this zero stars I would.
Really impressed. Pizza was great quality, better than most of what I had in Italy. Price is fair, service was great. I’m really happy a place like this opened in my hometown. I’d say it’s comparable to Framosos in waterloo, but I prefer this place in the end.
My boyfriend and I went for lunch one day and the food I would say was pretty good. What I am not happy about is our waitress had told us to write on these pieces of paper to enter a contest for a free dinner. We entered not expecting to win, we did! But the restaurant has had the worst communication on planning a day with us to come in. They called initially, but we couldn’t do the day they suggested, so they said they would call us back. We’ve called multiple times to try and pick a day and a month and a half later; they have not bothered calling us back. Yet they still send us multiple emails to come in, I just think if you are going to do a contest, then you should have to stick to your word and give the winners their earnings.
Good place to have breakfast, great people!
Ate here 3 days in a row for lunch when in town for business. Still gonna have to come back with fam to try more of the menu. Authentic Italian cuisine. Simple but so delicious. If this is you type of food, do yourself a favour and check it out.
Awesome food glad we booked a reservation it was busy. Love the atmosphere inside first time going but will return
I am delivery man and picked the order from here friday night 23oct and there is old man manager i think his behavior is very bad .... He don't know how to give respect if i am not a customer of his restaurant.
I couldn’t choose better place than Piatto to celebrate our 33th anniversary with my wife????????????Thanks Stephanie for the gift???? Everything so delicious and the best staff ever! Certainly the best pizza in the region!!! We should have the option to give 10 stars ????????????
First time there, I loved their lunch time special. For $14 we get any choice of salad on their menu, same with the 9" pizzas. I couldn't choose so I also ordered one to go. Tried the K Andrew's(avocado, prosciutto, banana peppers) + ceasar salad (best I've ever tasted). Then ate the Stephanie pizza (pear, balsamic reduction, bacon and delicious cheese) + beets and herbed goat cheese salad. Now I'm not a big bread person and maybe slightly allergic to wheat and gluten but I tell you what! I will eat every scrap of that pizza bread, crust and all at this place. Best I've ever had in my limited but humble opinion.
Wonderful place with amazing food. I got to watch my pizza get made in front of me and the staff is really nice. Will definitely be coming back again.
Food & service were great. Fun upbeat decor!
Food is awesome only problem i had is the cbrisi salad ,tomatoes not ripe and chees to thick ! Very good restaurant
The pizza is soo yummy, I highly recommend their pizza with honey. The service was great but it took a while to get our food due to only having one chef in the kitchen (unforseen circumstance)
This was my first and will be my last visit. The service was brutally slow but it was the food that was horrible. The pizza dough was raw and the pizza was wet in the middle. We didn't get a chance to ask staff if the pizza was supposed to be like that because there was no staff around.
Great food and very friendly staff .. you will not be disappointed ????????
My waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, great food, great people. I had the bbq pizza, the caramel tarts, and a hand pulled espresso. All of which were incredible. I highly recommend asking your waitress to tell you a few stories about the restaurant and the history of their pizza. 10/10 would recommend
Fantastic service and very good pizza.
Delicious high quality food and very attentive wait staff. We were in a rush and they accommodated our request. Great place, they feature live music on Saturday night and the performer was great. Would definitely return.
Great service, delicious home made pasta, legit espresso
Best pizza ever!
Great pizza and terrific service. Restaurant is new and decor is amazing!
The food is great but what really stood out was the service! Brooke, our server, was absolutely phantastic!
Satisfied my craving for authentic Neapolitan wood-fire oven pizza! Loved the patio atmosphere as well. Food tasted great and service was fast and friendly too.
Booked our hockey team for lunch between games and wow what a great place, it's the first time I had been there and will bring a team or myself back when I'm in town. Service was amazing , food was amazing and they fed us quick. Very impressed to see the front staff gonto the back and tell the cooks how great they did, thanks for the great experience with my boys. Cheers
Fantastic experience at Piatto! If you are expecting a "normal" pizza (e.g. Little Ceasar's Pizza, Domino's, and etc) don't go here. If you want a GREAT traditional Italian pizza, then eat here! Doris (and the rest of the staff) provided absolutely excellent customer service. I ordered the Margarita pizza and it was absolutely delicious! For those of you who are thinking about giving Piatto a try take the "pizza is too thin" or "the pizza was burnt" reviews posted on here with a grain of salt. Piatto's pizza is supposed to be thin and have some tasty burn marks on it. That is what makes it an authentic Italian pizza! Honestly, The pizza dough was so good alone, I could eat it by itself. Five stars! (I would give you more if I could).
This is the first stop I go to when I'm in town for business. Pizza is authentic and outstanding. The atmosphere and service is next to none. Keep up the great work & and support this great local pizzeria.
The restaurant was new and clean. Other than some writing outside on a chalkboard and a scooter inside. Nothing really jumps at ya for being Italian? But the pizza.......wow.....just wow!!!
We had a great experience with a celebration dinner here last night. Our server, Sydney was a delight and the restaurant manager checked in with us to ensure everything was to our liking. Spoiler alert: it was! We’ll definitely be back but next time we’ll bring friends.
Nice atmosphere fast service wonderful food. Will be back again
Portions are tiny and overpriced. They got one of the orders wrong and didn't offer any reimbursement. First and last visit.
It's concerning to see a layer of dust on a floor in a place that serves food. There appeared to be lots of servers walking around, but the service at our table left a lot to be desired. Pizza was disappointing and pricey; coffee was good, but I can make good coffee at home in a nicer atmosphere.
Loved it
Love this place. Dined in the first time and as someone who can't have Gluten or Dairy they took great care of me! Their GF crust is ammmazing and although they don't have any vegan cheeses, they make up for it with awesome toppings. Highly recommend, I've already been back for takeout :)
A friendly place with an interesting menu leaning towards authentic Italian. I had a nice personal size pizza - thin crust, awesome site-made sauce - wood oven baked and lovely. Partner had spag with pesto and chicken she really enjoyed. Maybe a tiny bit pricey, but overall worth it for the quality and experience. Recommended.
Love love love the pizza dough. It’s light and airy ???? Not sure I’m sold on the tomato ???? sauce or cheese. The staff was friendly but not very attentive as I had to ask for a lemon slice for my water 3 times. The Nutella pizza is absolutely amazing!! I would go back just for that!!
Absolutely astonished by the bad reviews. This place is amazing, the pizza is absolutely fantastic. They know how to make a great pie
Seriously delicious pizza.
Quality pizza and great service. There's a slight wait but well worth it.
Great pizzas and pints in a comfy and inviting setting.
Had another great lunch there. The food and service is exceptional
AMAZING! Our sever, Lara, gave exceptional service (as well as the other staff there!) and the food was so delicious. This was our first time at Piatto and we can't wait to be back soon!
Best pizza I’ve had in forever. Very authentic, light airy dough and so much flavour! They added too much sauce to one of the pizzas and remade it and also gave us the original one they made in a takeout box to take home on top of the new one they made! Amazing service & food!
Maybe it was an off day, but we were not impressed with this restaurant. We came into town for a funeral and were hoping to have Greek (there used to be a Greek restaurant in this plaza previously) but thought we would give it a try since we didn't have a lot of time before the funeral. It was 6pm on a Tuesday. It took a bit to be seated even though it was not very busy. We were greeted by the one of the owners who sat us down with the very awkward menu's that would not stay open. 3 times the waitress (who is the wife of the owner and the only one serving in restaurant) said she would be "right" with us. At one point we asked if the gentleman that sat us could take our order and he said we would have to wait for his wife. My husband ordered a beer, myself, a rye and diet, and my mother in-law, a water. The beer came. Then my drink which was repeated to me as a rye and Pepsi. He took it back so he could give me diet as ordered. Then he asked what he could get my mother in-law. Then the water came. Our orders were taken and about 15 minutes later the owner came to the table to say our "pizza's" would be right up. No one ordered pizza. He said sorry, your Calzone will be right up. Didn't order that either. He then apologized and said he is barely ever in the restaurant. We figured as much since we asked what the soup of the day was and he had to go back to the kitchen to inquire. For a place that has been open for almost a year, it seemed like it was week one. My Caesar salad and some chopped chicken came on a bread and butter plate. My husband ordered lasagna for $19.50. At that price there should have been some leftover. It was VERY tiny and quite thin for that price. I am writing this in hopes the owners read this. This restaurant will not survive if this is the level of service provided often. It looks like a lot was invested in the opening of this restaurant. If the service and value were up to par this could be a great place. Again, maybe it was an off night judging by other reviews.
I would not reccomend the brushcetta. The tomato one is nice, the cheese one is blue cheese which I wish they mentioned in the menu. The 3 little biscuit pieces are extraordinarily small for a total price of 9$ so it felt like a rip off. The mini plates were dirty, they had large pieces of food on the edges. When we asked for more plates even those were dirty so we just wiped them ourselves. The margerita pizza wasn't bad. Tomato sauce tasted like it had no spices, profuse amounts of oil on the pizza, what felt like 2 pieces of cheese, burnt crust and base and an overall mediocre pizza. I wished they would use pizza serving trays with holes or metal bases because the pizza gets soggy really quick in the ceramic they use. The store motif felt more like a diner and just didn't have a cozy feel I would want at a pizzaria. The staff are friendly and kind though so I'll give them that. Overall; dirty dishes, silly portion sizes, and lacklustre pizza.
Service was lovely and prompt. Sat on the patio, which was nice, despite being adjacent to a busy road. The food was great, too. We ordered two of the $10 apperitivo that came with drinks - the deep fried gnocchi could have been a bit more crisp, but paired with the pesto aioli, was super yummy; the veg spread was alright in comparison to the amazing focaccia it accompanied. Also ordered the polpette all'Italiana, which was okay, and the Margherita pizza, which was really good. If I were to go back, I'd definitely try the marinara one or another with meat on it. The crust was done really well! Light with a great bite. Ended with espresso and a fantastic, generous serving of hazelnut gelato (not pictured, cuz i ate it too quickly).
They were busy but Dave greeted us at the door. Told us the wait time and took our name. We were seated and Dave apologized for our seats but we were okay. Just glad to get in. Waitress came promptly and dinner was timely and hot. Delicious. Will return again.
Nice pizza
Visited Piatto Cambridge on a friends recommendation and the food, environment staff were all great. The minute we arrived we were greated by a friendly host and seated right away. Our server Brooke was amazing, she was easy to talk to freindly and gave us some recomendations as it was our first time. Brooke thank you for being helpful and so kind. We will definitely be back. Bravo!
Soooo Good. Not only the food was amazing, but so was the service. From the greeting to the goodbye was great! Our server was Stephanie and she was amazing!! My 10yo son said to me "mom you need to write a review so everyone knows how amazing she is. She is so nice and takes the time to explain everything to us". She took the time to grab me one of the ingredients they use on one of the pizza's to assure me of my buying decision. (She offered, I didn't ask). Please give Stephanie employee of the month if you do that, because she was amazing!
Had a great supper. Service was excellent .
Host and server were great! Very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The restaurant is clean but boring and not very Italian feeling other than the Vespas they have as part of their decor. The food was underwhelming at best. We ordered pizzas. Only about the inner 6 inches of the 11 inch pizzas had toppings on it while the rest was crust. The amount of toppings is sparse but thankfully the crust is somewhat tasty. You're limited to ordering their predefined pizzas meaning you cannot create your own but you can add toppings to their predefined pizzas. They (have to) offer spicy dipping oil for all the crust that's left otherwise most of the crust would go to waste. With pizzas costing north of $15 I don't believe it's great value for what you're getting. The only reason I would recommend this pizzeria is due to the lack of other stone baked oven pizzerias in the Cambridge area. I don't see myself going back
The food is amazing! The service is excellent, atmosphere and kid friendly
Great authentic pizza.
Very poor food the pizza has nothing on it is mostly bread and sauce.
Absolutely amazing gluten free pizza! I am celiac and they even made a special dressing for the Cesar salad! Highly recommended!
Great artisan pizza. If you're looking for pizza that isn't the card board junk you get at the chains, this is the place to go. Cambridge needs more restaurants like Piatti so it's great they that are there! Fresh food made with the essence of what they say their food is supposed to be. They also serve pasta and great appetizers, desserts.
I went to Piatto tonight with my husband , in-laws and my son with high expectations but the food was not what we expected. Pizza had no flavour, tomato sauce was bland and almost no cheese and fillings. We tried to make it better asking for Parmesan cheese, catchup ( they don't have it) and salt! Disappointing!!! Now about the price.... very expensive.... 5 of us $150 and they charged extra for the Parmesan cheese! Not going back! We would be better off ordering pizza at Pizza Hut!
We stopped on a Saturday and tried out the lunch special. $14 for a very tasty and fresh salad and a personal pizza that we very good. The pizza is very thin crust with a fresh tomato sauce and the toppings are generous. We will definitely be back.
Went this afternoon for a quick lunch with my boyfriend. The food was decent, we expected to pay a little more for ‘specialty pizza’ however the service was terrible. We told the server after a few minutes of looking over the menu that we were ready to order. She said she would be back to take our order but then she went on to serve drinks at the bar and began other cleaning duties. 15-20 mins had gone by so we stopped a different server to ask if she’d take our order. We could tell this server was disappointed by her colleague’s mistake but continued to take our order in a rude manner, as if we were an inconvenience to her. Our server came back a few minutes later and (barely) muttered an apology. After enjoying our lunch, we waited even longer as our server mingled with people at the bar while we waited to ask for our bill. We’re very surprised by the positive reviews of this place. Again, the food was good but the service was disappointing.
We are OBSESSED with Piatto!!!!! We order it almost once a week and can not say enough good things about the people and the food. Always very fast and friendly service. The food is flavorful, hot nd fresh even for takeout. We like all of the pizza we've tried here but the STEPHANIE is THE BEST!!
Best pizza in town!
Amazing well bake pizza, they actually took 90 minutes to arrive
Great service and delicious food at a fair price.
Yum
My family came here for take-away one night and for a 20 dollar pizza we got absolutely nothing. The pizza was paper thin in the middle and all crust on the edges. One of the smallest pizzas I'd ever seen. The favour was nothing special for that price either. We had two pizzas and it was hardly enough for two people let alone a group of four.
Pretty average food. I found the calzone to be very watery
Ordered take away pizza, and am a fan of thin crust! The lady on the phone was easy to speak with and took my order efficiently. For her I give the only star this review has earned. These pizza’s were not even comparable to the frozen ones I get at the grocery store for busy evenings. The crust was thin and soggy with this huge (burnt) crust that was not even edible. I am not against paying more for better quality, but at the steep price of $75 for three pizza’s and poor quality of both the ingredients and the craftsmanship of the pizza. I can’t see this establishment lasting very long.
Enjoyed our food. Good service. Nice time out with the family.
The pizza is very, very good. The price of 17$ average is reasonable. The beer is expensive and the appetizers also
Quality pizza that won't disappoint and the kids will like it too. Be cautioned that it is a premium price to comparable restaurants in the category. Meatball appetizer was disappointing with two average sized meatballs that were really good but expected more for the price. Kids were given some dough to play with while we waited for our food which kept them entertained. Service was exceptional. Will be returning for a date night.
I went there first time yesterday with a friend. I work at Cambridge Center Mall and I alway wanted to try this place. We ordered lunch special as well as desserts. We both ordered pizza with salad option. Pizzas and salad were delicious. Tramisu was perfect. I paid around $60 for 2 lunch special, 2 desserts, 2 americano, 1 cranbery juice. I think it is fairly priced. I will definetely come back. I forgot to take the photos of pizzaa because it look so delicous.
First time at this place and it was dynamite! Very good. Thin crust with lots of options. Love the $14 lunch
Piatto has it all: fresh, authentic pizza, notable wine list, patio and great staff! I would definitely recommend trying the take home pizza kits for a family activity.
Expensive... but delicious. Special hot oil
Very nice. Homemade Pasta. Real Italian cooking at its finest. Will return
My wife and I had a fantastic experience for dinner!
Probably our favourite Pizzeria in the KW region. Absolutely delicious , really fresh, quality ingredients, not greasy at all. Highly recommend this place.
Expensive but pretty good pizza.
Awesome food , very good service
Great pizza
Yummy Pizza
Food was quick. Yummy flavours. One negative, meatball ap was served like warm, had to send back. Would suggest having slightly smaller pizzas, priced less to encourage patrons to order multiple selections and combinations to try/share.
Celebrated Wife's Birthday... Friendly staff and good food
We had a brilliant experience at the Cambridge location. The food was delicious (my four year old who doesnt like pizza ate her whole 11" pizza, and she finished first!) and the service was great. Stephanie was our server and she was lovely; attentive and friendly! We'll definitely be back - and might ask for some pizza dough to play with even if the kids aren't there!
Fantastic food and great service thank you Madison. Very Awesome.
we ate here for the first time. The restaurant is bright and clean and the pizza is so authentic. The service was amazing, they give oil from a local tasting room to have with the pizza. The Caesar salad comes with freshly made in house dressing. The prices are fair, they even have non alcoholic beer!!
Love this pizza joint. Best in town...Literally
This was, quite simply, the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. It is so light and airy, full of delicious flavour that is such a delight to the senses. The flavours all worked so beautifully together. And it was super cool to be able to try officially certifies AVPN pizza. I will definitely be coming back again soon - I don’t think I could go without it for too long!
Have been to the restaurant before and everything was great. We were feeling lazy last night and ordered two pizzas for take out that we hadn't tried before and they were the best pizzas we've had in a long time. I think we only had to wait 10 minutes as well, which was great. Definitely our new favourite pizza place.
The pizza price was toooo expensive and not well done
Not impressed at all. Pizza was soggy falling apart. Way wsy over priced for what! Was declined a booth when there were two avaliable. No selection no list of toppings to add on. How about letting us build our own.
Great traditional italian pizza! I got the lunch special (9 inch pizza of any kind and a side salad or soup) for $14. It was absolutely delicious and worth the money!
great pizza! the hard part it's trying to decide which one to order. The lunch special has an excellent price and the salads are delicious. Good portion size too. very friendly staff
Great brick oven pizza.
Really good thin crust brick oven Pizza, good salad and good service
I wish there was a zero star. I think the most rewiews here paid rewiews. The pizza has no taste at all. Toppings are can food and chees has no taste chiken was weird taste.
Lovely new little pizza joint!
Amazing pizza and salad
Finally! Amazing pizza in Cambridge. Crust is silky, and tasty, great sauce and ingredients. The crust isn't supposed to be hard and overcooked people lol it was crazy busy but all servers were really nice. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back ???? they also use Olive oil from a local Olive oil shop in hespeler village which is really cool. And yummy
Located at 350 Hespeler Rd #1, Cambridge, in the plaza where Farm Boy is located. Nice doesn't atmosphere. Upon entering the store friendly staff directed me to my table and offered the menu. Ordered the lunch special and due to foodallergies was accommodated for pizza toppings. Pizza and salad were appetizing.
Their gluten free pizza crust is the best I have ever tasted.
This is Cambridge's best pizza by far. Great pizza...great service...great everything in between. Love the fact our twin 3 year olds are totally engaged for the first 30-45 mins with the home made play-dough they give. My daughter thinks she is the world's best pizzia master..Piatto is. Lol
Came for a belated birthday lunch - my first time but not my last. We had a Caprese salad to start. So tasty there are no pictures! We ordered 2 pizza to share- the Stephanie was a recommendation- I do not eat fruit on my pizza but what a surprise for my taste buds!! It was our favourite of the two pizzas. Even the left overs were a hit for my niece!!
Excellent authentic pizza! Fabulous staff and customer service. For people with dairy allergies/sensitivities- try the Pizze Bianche (no red sauce) with toppings of your choice. We will definitely be returning! Take out was fast and delicious. Thank you!
Great place, but parking space is tough to find.
Pizzas are quite good, but we've been there twice and service is slow.
The food here is very good.
Wow!!! What a great restaurant! My husband and I are from Toronto and when visiting friends in Cambridge, we decided to go for dinner at Piatto. I had been to a Piatto in Newfoundland and was excited that there was now one in Cambridge. I don’t usually write a lot of reviews but I was so impressed by this place I had to share my thoughts. The food was fantastic. We had the chicuterie board to start and I loved that it had lots of great selection. We had a couple of different pizzas and I thought the crust was delicious and very authentic. Plus I loved that there was a good amount of toppings on the pizza. Our server was very friendly and did a great job explaining what Piattto was all about and why their pizza was unique. All in all a fantastic night. We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious- excellent service, great value and an overall lovely experience. Highly recommend the mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto with tomato sauce - great Italian beer to go with it - can't wait to go back.
Had some pizza & wine here a few days ago and it was dopeee. Really good food and amazing service from Stephanie. I had the mushroom and cheese pizza which is called Funghi e Gorgonzola. Funghi > Fun Guy. I liked how each table came with a spicy pepper infused olive oil from a local Cambridge business called OV. My favourite part of the night was having to switch the glass the wine was in . Apparently they follow tradition and serve wine in a cup because that’s how Napolitanos drink it. Noooooo...respect the Chianti and request a wine stem glass from the get go. Stephanie was real cool about it and she probably is used to the look of surprise when people get their wine that way. Sorry I’m paying $9 for a wine and don’t want it served from a cup they use at hospital cafeterias to serve milk. #sorryNotSorry Anyway, I ended up happy and filled.
Have been wanting to try Piatto for quite some time. I was hoping for a fantastic pizza experience. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The decor is nice, service was top notch but the food was lacking. The most boring pizza I've ever eaten at much higher prices than most. Menu was very limited as well. I won't be going back sorry to say.
Service by Madison was outstanding! Attentive without being obtrusive. On point with timing of our appetizers and mains. The house made pasta was delicious ????
Fantastic food
Had a wonderful experience last Friday // disappointed with the lack of Covid 19 protocols today. Although it wasn't very busy, staff were in a rush which resulted in them not sanitizing their hands prior to handling food. They did offer to make a new one; however would have appreciate if they proactively offered to pick up the cost due to their mistake. Unsure now if I will be returning.
Best tasting pizza out there!
The best service and food ever!
Awesome pizza best I've had since Italy! Definitely would eat here again and the atmosphere would be great for a date night too
Piatto hosted us in the Enotecha room for my daughters birthday today and it was FLAWLESS. Amazing service for a party of 18, beautiful private space, fresh and authentic wood fired Italian pizzas and salads. $15 for the lunch special with a salad and pizza was PERFECT and affordable. We were able to affordable host our guests here and WILL be returning. Thanks to all who made our party a success!
This place makes great pizza. Sauce has a bold flavour of tomato while the good quality mozzarella pairs well with it. You know how the crust is usually discarded by most folks? Not here: it’s a soft and doughy surprise and a delight to eat. Great service and selection of drinks. I would eat here again and you should too.
Great service, nice selection of wood fired pizzas. Mine was a tad moist on bottom, but flavour was excellent. Lovely touches such as the spicy oil served with pizza, and complimentary limoncello digestif. Will definitely be back! PS- The decor is Italian sleek and funky. Love the Vespas!!
Good service, nice atmosphere. Portions were smaller than what I had hoped for but tasted great. I will come back
Everything was amazing!
Authentic Italian pizza, great Illy coffee and excellent service.
Excellent food and excellent service
Went with my husband for date night and was very excited to try a new place since he loves pizza. I will not be going back. The customer service was great but the pizza not so much. For someone that is paying over $20 for a small pizza I was not impressed. The server raved at how everything was made in house so we were excited to try the pizza. When we got it the topping were bland and my pizza was soggy. Even the pop we ordered was flat.
My boyfriend and I went in for dinner while we were in Cambridge visiting family and the food was fantastic. The menu can seem a little intimidating but the server we had was very helpful and gave great recommendations. Reminded me of when I was in Italy. Will definitely be making a trip back soon. My favourite part was when the manager Roxane came and checked on us and we made sure to let her know our compliments.
The layout of the restaurant is amazing and their selection of wine is of great variety. The balance of quantity vs price is a bit of. Can be preseived as expensive for such a small size. The quality is very much what make this restaurant not just any kind of pizza place. It can get quite loud. May need to consider sound dampening tools to help lessen the travel of sound. All things considered a great experience and wonderful customer service.
Very expensive
Delicious lasagne and pizza, bruschetta was delicious but a small serving
Great service and really good pizza!!
Ambiance is nice, Food was ok but the price was too much. For myself and my 7 yr old son 2 pizzas it was $50 before tip for LUNCH...
Such a great little place! Went here for the first time today and was really impressed. The staff are wonderful, and the food is incredible. I was so grateful that they accommodate a vegan diet too! Will be back for sure.
Amazing delicious fresh pizza always friendly customer service so sad we cannot go in there and eat but you know you can order skip the dishes call ahead and come pick up promise you will not be disappointed amazing pizza all the time and customer service
Amazing service! Staff and Manager Chris accommodated us for a birthday and provided exceptional service. They made us feel comfortable and safe for our last dine out before 3rd lockdown.
was our first time here the staff was very friendly and the food was great...will definitely go back and tell all our friends...tks for a nice evening
Pizza was great! We also ordered the beet feta salad which was great too. Surely recommend this place !
Quality service and authentic food. Good people and nice atmosphere. A little girl was happy to see Elsa!
Great pizza, very thin and maybe a little pricy but overall very good.
I need to comment on the amazing service here. Terrific staff and management supporting each other through a very busy dinner service tonight! Well done! Every need tended to, just the best. The food was the most authentic and delicious. Piatto is VPN certified and the quality is tasted in every bite.
Strong appetizer game, pizzas good but pasta dishes were definitely sub-par; surprisingly flavourless and bland. Sorry, I hate to be negative, they just were.
The pizza here is amazing! I was really surprised by how good everything was for the price, and our server Sidney was great. Probably the best pizza I've had in KW!
We were looking to try this place for a while. We took advantage of the nice weather last week and enjoyed some pizza on the patio. Great lunch deals! Personal pizza and a side salad or soup for $15! While it isn't the best wood fire pizza I've had but it was definitely authentic and I have no real complaints about it, just not a fan of the pepperoni they use which is just preference.
Had my first experience at Piatto's a couple of weekends ago, and wow! Hands down my favourite go-to place for the best pizza in Ontario. Our server Stephanie was so nice and genuine, she was the only one serving tables and she managed everyone so well. We can't wait to return!
The atmosphere was good and the server was excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the pizza.
Good pizza and options but ambiance is a little bare and cold. Service was very good
I've been to the NL locations countless times. I mean countless. Since moving to Cambridge I've been three times. Dine in once (and I wish I could remember our servers name - she was so great) and takeout twice and each time is so consistently great. Piatto certainly knows how to keep each location on the level. Piatto Cambridge does not disappoint!
Excellent food
Hadan amazing experience, amazing customer service and hands down one of the best pizza for sure.
The place itself is really nice and interesting to look around. It's really cozy and makes you feel at home. As for the food, the pizza was amazingly good and was probably the best pizza I've ever had. The crust is very thin and the bacon is Italian and much better than just cheap bacon. The deserts are very good and rich. I would recommend piatto for anyone who likes good homemade Italian food.
amazing restaurant! staff are so friendly and very professional. the pizza is AMAZING
Great food. Everyone can find something on this menu. Didn't see any gluten free options though!
I don't know what was wrong with our pizza, but it was so thin crust, you needed a knife and fork to eat it, and the crust was under done. Just not a good experience
My family and I visited piatto last night and it was a great experience. Server was prompt and attentive, food came out quick, pizza was good. My only complaint would be how thin the pizza was in the centre. If you have a loaded pizza you definitely need to fold it to take a bite. This wouldn't deter me from returning though as everything else about the pizza was great. The man that I assume was the manager/owner was also very nice and was genuinely interested in our opinion and ensuring we enjoyed our visit.
Kicking myself for not trying their pizza earlier.Real dough made and baked how it should be
I had thebestsupper a few days ago. The food is amazing and our server was awesome, I think Karly was her name. Very unique decor and clean. The manager Dave was very kind and hospitable. I will definitely go back.
Very bright and open. Delicious pizza, will definitely return
I went to this restaurant 3 times already and it has been great every time. The Pizza tastes great and the staff if very friendly. The prices are also very acceptable. You have to try that special oil that they will bring to the table!
Came here for the first time today at lunch. The lunch special is great at $14 for a pizza and soup. Having a Neapolitan pizza place here is great. Highly recommend it.
This place is pretty good. The food tastes amazing, a bit pricey for what you get but it's delicious. The menu is very Italian and the food is described very Italian but again, food is great. Today they had no gelato, which shouldn't happen.. but they did have all the other desserts. Hubby & I enjoyed this for our first time. Bonus, espresso after food since they have a coffee bar. Espresso smells very fragrant and tastes delicious. The bathrooms are also spotless and very modern. The dessert lacks a bit in flavour but you can't have it all I guess. I would come back, but it wouldn't be my first choice to be honest.
Very nice place! Very tasty pizza! Made with passion. More ads please! Discovered the place coincidentally. Best wood oven pizza!
Great thin crust pizza
This place has the most amazing pizza. It’s so close to the pizza I had in Italy. I highly recommend!
The food speaks for itself. Forget any pizza you have had anywhere in Ontario folks. The cuisine is impeccable. Fresh. Healthy. And the best part is the food is flavourful and light. Meaning...room for more. Now the important part. The wine. The wine is as good as the pizzas. Served traditionally or for those that need a special glass.... it is paired by Piattos stellar team should you wish. And as it should, the wine only makes the food that much better. Brian and family, thanks for bringing your dream to Cambridge for others to share in.
Haven't been more disappointed in my life. $67 bucks for 4 meatballs that tasted like they came from Wal-Mart frozen section. A hand full of spaghetti soaked in oil with no flavor and 6 sad fried rice balls. The packaging weight as much as the food lol. Maybe the pizza is good but don't waste your hard earned money on the highschool cafeteria food.
Great Pizza! Maybe the best I’ve had outside of Napoli.
Food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be going back there
great place, been open a year now? great manager (owner?) very hands on, awesome pizza! nice wine selection, reasonably priced, attentive smart service. Perhaps a cheaper house wine available would be nice (just sayin) for that time when you just want something to wash the pizza down ????. worth checking out, super little place! will return!
My favorite restaurant in Cambridge. The quality of the pizza is amazing . Real wood fire pizza prepared with care and an amazing service. If you like real italian pizza this is the place to go. The service is amazing. The staff feels like a real Family and they take care of you like if you were family. My favorite pizza is the margarita with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Very thin crust ( like in Italy) My husband and I are European so we are grateful to finally have a wonderful place to go and enjoy delicious pizza . Highly recommended.
D E L I C I O U S ! So good! Table for 6, seated pretty much right away. Busy place, a bit of a wait after us but still quick. Lovely server, Megan, & staff. Food was amazing. We will definitely return but glad we checked it out this evening; National Pizza Day ???? Highly recommend this restaurant. Ingredients are so fresh & all was cooked to perfection. We were all impressed. Very open, so a bit loud when full but calm/quiet once the rush left.
Torn between 3 and 4 stars. The good...flavourful sauce and cheese, wine selection, service and menu. The not so good...dough is too gummy with no bite, or crisp, atmosphere is too bright and loud (Not Neapolitan at all!) and no children's menu, which is odd considering the child like atmosphere!
Salad and drinks are great.....pizza wasnt great, too soggy.... 4.2 / 10
The bruschetta was really good and crispy, the pizza homemade and thin crust with fresh tomatoes, the dessert omg.. the tiramisu a pleasure! Hubby loved the salted caramel tart!! Took it twice. The service was fast and the waitress really nice! I will definitely go back there
The service was warm and welcoming. The food was average. We ordered some pasta which was drenched in oil and the sauce was watery.
The Neapolitan pizza made here is excellent. They offer more than just your standard fare of most pizza restaurants. The Stephanie is my favourite. Their menu includes many other Italian specialties so check it out. Service is always friendly.
Best pizza in Cambridge. Finally a restaurant tht know what thin italian pizza means. Real tomato sauce not from a can, real mozzarella thin crust and perfect wood oven . Great service and lots of flavors in every dish. My husband and I will recommend this place without hesitation, we are from europe and are very happy to have now a real napolitan pizza close to us. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant! We've been twice and each time the service and food was amazing. This has become our go to restaurant as it puts East Sides Mario's to shame! Definitely check it out if you haven't already.
Burnt and soggy pizza - quite a feat. I was interested in trying Piatto after seeing the signs for "authentic" woodfired pizza having enjoyed thin crust pizza in Italy. After waiting 40+ minutes for our pizza to arrive one of our three pizzas was too burnt to eat. The manager, who was helping out the only server and who took our order, quickly ordered a replacement. It was marginally better. Unfortunately by that time the evening was ruined despite the manager's best efforts. The server was rude and only came back to our table when it was time to pay and to collect her tip. I know this restaurant has only been open about a month, but it needs an overhaul of staff from the server to the cooks! We won't be back.
The place was hopping.Thumbs up to the staff and the food was great!
Service was good and servers are friendly but I was not impressed with the pizza. Ordered a white mushroom pizza and it was soggy and swimming in sauce when it arrived. Completely inedible. Sent it back and they did make a second one which was a little better but still quite soggy. Ordered a glass of wine which came in a small juice glass, not even a wine glass. They did make amends by taking the pizza off the bill and maybe their other dishes are better but I won't be eating here again.
Pizza was alright but 40 dollars for 2 11 inch pizzas. Cmom especially being takeout.ill go to capri pizza from now on. Bad take out means I won't ever dine there. Your takeout meals should be larger if you want to attract people. Goodluck you'll need it this blue collor town.
Love this pizza
Today I went here for Lunch and got pizza. Very delicious, friendly and fast service, clean environment. The prices are okay. There were very pretty Christmas decorations that made it more enjoyable too. Would definitely go back!
Just came home from a delightful visit...my birthday dinner. Excellent food...wonderful staff! Will be back for sure!
Great pizza!
Wood fire stove pizza, with a different combination of toppings. I was little confused at first but it was tasty.
Thank you to Stephanie to making our experience a wonderful one. Great atmosphere and even better food. Stephanie was very personable and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know everyone at our table. My first visit was about a week after opening and it wasn’t the greatest experience.. I had been back one other time since and loved it— this visit was to prove to my other half, that our first visit was a one-off. Thanks to Stephanie he was blown away by every aspect and we will definitely be back together!
Excellent pizza , great service! One of my top choices for wood-fired pizzas in the region
Best authentic Italian pizza you can get without a flight ticket to Italy!!!!!
Interesting menu and great Italian cuisine. The beer choices were not great though.
Great pizzas and delicious dessert
The food is amazing here I would recommend this place to anyone.
Great food and service would highly recommend them to eveyone and my fiance is tolerant to gluten and it doesn't bother her as there ingredients are not filled with garbage.
Great food and awesome service!!
Wonderful pizza but the lunch menu is extremely limited. Staff are very friendly.
Really nice venue, beautiful setting. The wood fire pizzas were delicious. Not the biggest portions in the world, but worth the gourmet experience.
For a new place ... as a Business marketer.. i can say. food was awesome ..Brand Experience was fantastic.. service was polite.. chatty .. on time.. clean.. quick food prep and delivery.. portions for specialized true Italian food vs price.. reasonable for what consumer is getting
I stopped by today with the intent of meeting my other friends for lunch who wanted to meet at 11. I walked in carrying my infant son in his carseat, soaked because it had started to rain hard. I was informed by the waitress that they were not open until 11:30. Fair enough as it was our mistake for not checking their hours. It was disappointing, however, that she didn't even ask if I wanted to wait or offer me a spot to sit in the waiting area since their front/main door was unlocked. I wouldn't have expected to be served or anything, but it would have been nice to be shown a little compassion. As a new mom, it's very hard to get out of the house, especially now that it's nearing the winter months. I ended up having to leave because I didn't want to just stand outside for 30 minutes. Later, my friends told me that the restaurant ended up opening before 11:30. I also had this same waitress when we went out for a birthday dinner on Nov 9 she kept rushing us during our meal and at one point even took my friend's dish even though she wasn't finished. This is the second strike, customer service-wise for that lady.
Great service and great pizzas
Amazing Pizza! We won't go back to the regular pizza chains after having Patio! Truly authentic!
Amazing Pizza. Its what pizza should taste like, not like the cardboard that others call pizza. Very happy
This is very good
Biggest rip of in all of cambridge, a new born babies head has a bigger diameter then this pizza, the owner should take a stroll down to famosos in waterloo were the pizza is same style way bigger and a few bucjs cheaper
Staff are always friendly and food is authentic and delicious. Good portion sizes and fresh. Cannot recommend more for authentic italian pizza!
Amazingly authentic and delicious!!
I had a wonderful experience at this new restaurant. I ordered the dolce e fumoso pizza and the flavour was outstanding. I had the lemon tart for dessert and the ratio of sweet to sour was perfect. I was served by Kim and she was very friendly and kind. The manager Dave made sure to stop at my table to see how things tasted which I always appreciate. You can tell he really cares about the quality of food and the guest experience. I will definitely be back.
Not the best. Small portions...big prices. Food isn't the best Italian food!
Nice pizzas!
Delicious crust, sauce and cheese. All the things to make a great pizza. The patio is also in the shade in the afternoon which is a huge plus. The staff were attentive and nice
Excellent pizza. True Italian style with thin base and very tasty. Good friendly service.
I wish I could give this place 1/2 a star or no star at all. Here are a few words that come to mind while attempting to describe my experience at this fast food place, yes, FAST FOOD: overpriced, tasteless and definitely NOT Italian cuisine. The food had absolutely no flavor. The pizza was soggy and doughy, barely any toppings. Frozen pizza or take out pizza would have been a better choice. So very disappointed. For appetizers we order the bruschetta. We were a party of 3. We got exactly 3 overpriced tiny round pieces of over-toasted bread with tasteless toppings. Do yourselves a flavour: Don't waste your time or money at this place. So disappointing!
Pizza was raw sauce was like it wasn't cooked never seen 2 pizza's come out of a woodburning fireplace in less then 4 min tops was junk that is not italian
My wife and I have been reading the reviews on here. They seem to be great or bad with no middle ground so we thought we'd throw in our 2 cents. We went twice so far. Food is very good and service is friendly. They are much too small for the demand they have so getting a table on the weekend is pure hell. We love their pizza but their pasta is up and down. The salads are delicious. We think the best thing on the menu is the Stefanie pizza with pears. It's very good! The servers are lovely and the two managers on that night were very good even though the place was completely full and lots of people were waiting. The guy is really calm. The girl with the English accent is very outgoing. They and the servers are all very welcoming and they set a sort of "one big happy Italian family" tone for the evening. We will say this as well. We sat at the big table they have near the kitchen. There was a blonde lady there that our server said is an owner. She needs to learn to talk to staff differently or she's not going to keep anybody for long. We could hear how she talked to the kitchen and to the manager. She's nice to the guests but not to her employees. Both my wife and I agreed on this much. If anybody talked to us the way she talked to them, we would just walk out. She's very disrespectful and kind of dismissive. That left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths.
This pizzeria just opened in Cambridge a few days ago and when we arrived on Sunday evening, there was already a small line of people waiting for tables. The host told us the wait would be about half an hour and quite uncharacterical of us, we decided to wait. We used this time to browse the menu and post information here. :D When we got seated it took another ten mins to have someone acknowledge us and take our order. The host was supposed to have explained the menu to us but he didn't. And waitresses brought us food that we didn't order for two times. After the wait and below average service, the food at least was good. We tried the bruschetta and the silician pizza and the fungi gorgonzola pizza. I liked the fungi gorgonzola and the olive oil our waitress gave us. Our waitress was great very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm glad that we got to try this place but next time I'd do a takeout instead.
We were here with a large group on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was fantastic, the service was quick, and the food was amazing. Some of us weren't sure what to order so we went with staff recommendations - so glad we did - delicious! We'll definitely be back when we're in town again!
Good food and service,!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Good wine selection, the bar is otherwise not great.
Simple, authentic & delicious!
Food was good. Price was slightly high for quality and portion size.
I don't do reviews but I just had to for this place. I went there for dinner last night with my girlfriend and had the best dining experience of my life. It started with the General Manager, David. He greeted us at the door as if we were long lost friends. He invited us to sit at the bar because it was so crowded. Then our bartender Karlie took over. She was kind, and fast, and just plain good. Our food was amazing. Please try the Piero. It's as good as pizza gets. I watched the staff at work and I was really impressed. Everyone was really good but to whoever the owners are, I want you to know that it's your GM who sets the tone. He's just the best I've ever seen or experienced. He is everything hospitality should be. He's also one of the nicest men I've ever met. By the end of our meal, we felt like we had dined with our own family. There is no higher praise! Going back tonight.
Food and service was fantastic.
Nice place, good service, food is average, over priced.
Great food and awesome employees
It's delicious, fresh, we will go back forsure
Three of us went lunch. Place was less than half full of diners but it still took over an hour to get our order which was two 11 inch pizzas. They arrived to our table barely warm and soggy. One pizza was shared and they charged us full price for extra toppings even though toppings were for half only. $67 for two pizzas and two beers for lunch. Not going here again, too many better restaurants to chose from.
The food is truly authentic and it was comparable to the food adventure in Italy. Absolutely delicious and would highly recommend to anyone looking for Napolitano style pizza and food! ????
So delicious
Can't say enough about my experience here. Food was excellent and the service was great. The General Manager guy, Dave, is a delight! Place was incredibly busy with long waits for tables. We were in line with everybody else and one person in particular was very rude and aggressive about the wait time but it was pretty cool to watch how the GM handled him. Very calm, very polite, very level headed dude, he is. Also very entertaining and funny. Our server, Roxanne, made our visit even more special. She was so professional and made us feel very welcome. They've got to address the wait times, especially when we can see lots of empty tables, but other than that, great place and we'll be back.
It was our first time at Piatto and we were looking forward to our pizza. The host explained how the wood oven is heated to 900 degrees and pizza would cook in 90 seconds, unfortunately, it took over 30 minutes to get pizza and it was warm but certainly not hot. In spite of this pizzas were very good flavorwise. Our server Mo was polite but certainly not someone who should be in the service business, very slow and not very attentive, he explained that restaurant was super busy, however, when we looked around there were only 5 tables occupied?? We will come back, however, as a suggestion I would expand the wine list a little more, offer more than just 5oz or full bottle options and provide a true wine glass as opposed to the $0.99 cent dollar store glass we were served.
Great pizza great environment
As someone who has eaten a lot of pizza in their life, let me say with authority that any pizza here will be the best pizza of your life. Service was great, best pizza I've ever had, that's all you need to know.
Excellent pizza!
Felt like we were in Italy having a pizza!!! Delicious!!! Great service and atmosphere!!
Pizza was soggy
One word ... AMAZING!
Nice place. Expensive. Parking is a challenge because Tim Hortons shares parking lot. Sunday hours limited. Food okay.
Great food, great service!
It's a lovely place, the decoration and the food are amazing. Their homemade sausage is good, a little bit too spice for my wife and I, but still awesome.
Great food and wine. Authentic Italian pizza. Great service!
The restaurant and atmosphere were nice, the pizza was bland and overpriced for what it was. I'd much rather just order in from Domino's rather than go here again.
The gluten free pizza crust is so good, not able to tell from the regular crust, vegan cheese option is great. Family loved the "white" pizza also. Fresh toppings.
Good food... good service.
We only had to wait a few minutes for a table at 5:30 on a Saturday. The host was polite and warm and we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The appetizer was about half of what I would have expected for $12 (prosciutto wrapped around mozzarella with tomato sauce). My two kids and I had to split the two pieces three ways. We ordered two pizzas between the three of us. As another reviewer stated, the crust could use some work. The middle is too thin and the edges too much dough. The dough flavor and texture are good but one was a little under done. The toppings were pretty sparse but everything tasted great. We had several dishes delivered to our table that we didn't order. Not sure what would have happened if we hadn't said anything! A little room for improvement but not bad over all.
Went out for dinner to celebrate booking our honeymoon destination. Enjoyed some delicious food including pizza ( The Stephanie and Siciliana). We recommend these as they were absolutely delicious! Beautiful atmosphere and a very welcoming vibe. Staff there is amazing we had the pleasure of being served by Natasha! She was friendly, funny and very attentive! She even suggested 2 wines that she thought we would love...and she was right because the wine paired very nicely with our meal and evening out. Thanks Natasha for your great service!!!! We will definitely come back again!!!
Piatto was all around a fantastic restaurant! The food, service was great and the environment was warm and welcoming. Our waitress Samantha was very sweet and always there when needed, and had great suggestions on the menu. Can’t wait to come back to try some more stuff, thanks Piatto!
We just ate here and when our server brought out my water the glass had a red lipstick stain on it... so I had to ask for another as that is gross. Then, as I'm eating my pizza I bit into an olive pit. Lastly, our server charged me an extra $2 to swap out mushrooms for kalamata olives instead. I asked her if I could have the kalamata olives instead of mushrooms (I didn't add anything extra, just swapped an ingredient). Why did I get charged more? Overall, not impressed with the service. 2 stars instead of 1 only because the pizza was tasty despite my negative experience.
This place was great . Went in for some lunch and got the 9" personal pizza with home made soup. Got the greca pizza , everything was fresh and authentic Italian pizza. Highly recommend you try.
Anything less than a 5 star review is wrong. This place hands down has THE best pizza I have ever tasted (and I've ate a lot of pizza). The dolce e Fumoso pizza was amazing (and that's not even doing it justice), it was perfectly smoked but had enough sweet to go along with it. The waitress Kim was awesome and even helped us for which one we should get. If I could, I would rate this place with 10 stars. I'll be back for sure!
I will not be going back to this place. The waitress was lovely but the food was awful. We were told it takes 90 seconds to bake 2 pizzas and we waited 45 min for our food. When the pizza came out it was soggy and the meat tasted processed. 2 pizza's and a couple a of drinks was $50.00 and we still left hungry.
They have a balsamic sauce that you have to try!
Food was not good. Pizza was way undercooked and the ingredients tasted like they came from a can. Huge wait because they don't utilize the space so not many table
We went for lunch specials. Pizza was awesome, just like Amalfi coast, simple flavourful ingredients, tomato sauce was perfect. I don't know about the people saying it's not like Italy, come on, you know when you go to Italy your salad will have oil and vinegar, no other dressing, and the food will be simple, not spiced like we do it here. Our waitress was so cheerful and full of energy and we loved her British/Canadian accent :)
Had a great birthday dinner experience. Great staff, fast service and awesome tasting mushroom pizza, great calbrese salad and even better tiramisu dessert. Happy to have this first Ontario location.
Tried this place last Sunday best fresh made pizza and the BEST gourmet burger on pizza doe bun .Lara is great server works Saturday and Sunday Go meet Chris the manager Guaranteed to see us on regular basis
Great dining experience.
Fantastic pizza. Please open one in Durham region.
Went for dinner tonight and got the explanation about how it was a traditional Napoli pizza etc...it came out and it was chewy and almost dough like. Have had much better thin crust pizza in the Waterloo region. Ordered the beet and goat cheese salad and it came swimming in balsamic, almost inedible. Not a fan of the atmosphere inside. Only 3 booths and the rest uncomfortable tables. No rush to return.
love this place! great service and great food!
Pizza was soggy and not enough cheese. For the price we paid which was $50 for two pizzas and fritters... Definitely not worth it.
Delicious and great service
Ordered 2 mega deals for take out. Everyone had their fill and was still lots left. Put them in the freezer for another time.
A very enjoyable first time. I will definitely be back.
Pizza like you've never bad before
Always was hoping Piatto would branch out from the east coast. Place is as good here as it is over there. Great food and atmosphere!
Was hoping this would be great but sadly it was anything but. We were all served our pizzas at different times so we didn't even eat as a family .... waitress told us they only cook 2 pizzas at a time so start eating, no need to wait for everyone to get theirs. Like seriously.... that's a first. Can't see this lasting ....
Great service, very good pizza! Great place! Nice wine selection!
We visited this restaurant last night. The host warmly greeted us and was very attentive. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We had the authentic wood fire pizza and ceasar salad with a nice red wine. I would recommend this restaurant if you are visiting the Cambridge area.
My wife and I were looking forward to eat here, but sadly our experience here was extremely dissappointing. Our server forgot to ring in our order, so we were already off to a bad start. The manager Nate is very nice and came over and apologized and gave us a free pizza card for next time card. We figured accidents happen so lets give them the benefit of the doubt. The pacchi is the worst I have ever tasted. It wasnt even warm, cheese was way too hard, the prosciutto had very little flavour. I was more upset that it did not even come out hot or proper after waiting so long. The pizza was very subpar, it also did not come out hot. If you are going to advertize your pizzas, you should definitely ensure they come out hot and fresh. I could taste it was neither. We will not be using the card and will not be returning. It is a shame because there is so much potential. I have given 2 stars for the positives: very nice manager, clean and private washrooms and the olive oil.
I am sorry to say, but this restaurant is as Italian as cabbage rolls. The food looks great on pictures but it is tasteless and reheated. We have spend few years in Italy and i understand that each region has it's own traditional food but this place serves what they think Italians eat...The servers are good and attentive, no spices at the table, not even salt & pepper, they put a battle of olive oil in front of us, perhaps it should be used in the kitchen to add some taste to the pasta.
Real italian pizza.... cooked in 90 seconds fantastic food fantastic service priced right.
Pizza and spaghetti, fantastic
Not impressed at all. I was very much looking forward to this being something awesome. I was wrong. We had 2 apps and 2 pizzas. Sadly were we still hungry after. The mozzarella balls were an absolute joke. The crust on the pizzas was soo thin yet the outside crust too thick. The stephanie pizza was good but got 20 dollars was way too small. I cant see this being a hit in cambridge sadly
The pizza was very very good. I recommend the margherita pizza. The dough is fluffy and airy, and they provide spicy olive oil on the side for you to drizzle on the pizza.
Great pizza and service
One of the best pizzas I've ever had
VERY GOOD PIZZA but everything else was just OK and pretty expensive for what you got. I had a Caprese salad to start and the tomatoes were mushy and the basil was very bitter which ruined an appetizer which is arguably hard to screw up. Did I mention those 4 tomato and mozzarella cost $12.50. My wife had the calzone that was really dry and really under stuffed. The beer we ordered was cool but not cold so that was also disappointing. I will definitely go get pizza from them for take out but I won’t eat in again.
Im waiting in on the bench of Piattos...no one has come to me to ask me to sit down, there is no line, half of the tables are empty. Everyone ignored me. Worst service ever.
Came by the restaurant Monday for lunch, was greeted by one of the manager which I thought was a nice gesture. A few of my friends have been telling me I need to go here so I thought I would give it a try today with my daughter. We both got the lunch special, which is such an amazing deal!!! I had a cesar salad and my daughter had the caprese. So delicious. For our pizzas, I got myself a classing Margherita and my adventurous daughter tried the stephani. These pizzas were AMAZING!!!!! Best pizza in town. Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend this place to others.
Great spot! Brought our daughter (2 years old) and she loved playing with the pizza dough before our meal came. Great atmosphere, kid friendly.
Um a bit disappointed. My salad was brown. The pasta was just ok. No offer of grated cheese???? Service was good waiter very friendly. Won't go back though.
Best pizza in town! I like the look of the restaurant as well. Great service, a bit slow but that’s because it opened a week ago. Staff is very welcoming and great to deal with. Definitely recommend going to Piattos, you will not be disappointed!
Went within the first few weeks of opening. The staff were very friendly but it was a bit evident they were new. Pizzas were tasty, though on the pricier end for the size. Some of their pizzas have a special certification which may be why. Unfortunately the limoncello tart in the dessert trio had a large piece of onion in it. Initially when we advised the server the dessert tasted funny he simply said that's what limoncello tasted like. We then found the onion piece, which he was apologetic for, but I was quite surprised that we were still charged for the dessert. When I advised I didn't feel it was reasonable to pay for it the manager did come to the table to apologize and take it off the bill (though nothing further to compensate for the error). Ultimately I think as they find their stride this will be a good spot for a slice.
Appetizers and pizza was excellent great service and a good selection of wine
Great pizza and good service!!!
Wonderful experience. Very friendly staff. Great food. Love the decor. Would definitely go back here again.
best wood fire pizza around. fresh and creative toppings. the combinations are great and interesting ..the food was delicious and priced just right and the service was great. I would recommend and go again !
Welcoming atmosphere, great food and staff. We will definitely be returning.
Real pizza and good service.
We went for diner today for the first time. I have no idea why people are so negative about his place. Noth American people know only hot dogs & burgers & pepperoni pizzas. If that's what you like then do not bother. The pizzas are delicious & very flavorful. This is Italian pizza it's not your average" pizza hut" or "Dominos" or "pizza pizza". If you understand flavor then you will love it. We ordered 4 different pizzas & they were all yummy. One thing for sure they were not suggy....come on people it's oven fire wood Its great We will definitely go again. Awesome place
This is by far the best Pizza place in K-W. Vesuuvius and Margeritta pizzas are excellent. We have yet to have anything that was not excelkent. . Closest we've come to real Italian pizza that you get in Rome. The Cesare Salad is excellent as well. Thank you. Service is very good as well. The owners really care.
The service was excellent and there is no pizza like it.
The best pizza in town!
Great service, vast menu selection, and the pizza is top-notch. Slightly on the pricier side, and they don't take reservations for parties under 6 on the weekends. However, it's worth a visit!
Excellent
My wife and I had a great experience at Piatto Saturday night. We came in after reading the article in the Cambridge Times. the supervisor and server were very informative and made us feel welcome for our first visit. We ordered the Stephanie which we saw on you gotta eat here and the siciliana. We finished off with the trio for dessert. Food was amazing and the staff was awesome! Definitely returning again.
Soggy pizza. When asked why so soggy, Server responded with a rehearsed answer about it being authentic thin crust. Her prepared response suggests it's a common complaint. Party of 10 and 8 people thought the cook had poured a glass of water on their pizzas before serving. Was a disaster to eat. Kids wouldn't touch it. They have not mastered their authentic pizza. Will not return.
Pizza was fantastic. Very clean place, and the smell of the wood fired oven was amazing. Must try if you are in the area.
Disappointing at best. Ordered takeout, the outside was burnt and the inside soggy. The first thing you taste is flour! Definitely will not be ordering from here again.
So fantastic. Best place for cozy Italian food. Pasta made on side. THE BEST pizza ever. Great service. Great prices. Catering and groups too. Thank gawd Cambridge has something other than drive thru now.
Certainly a toss up between here and Amici's in Cambridge both great authentic Italian home made cuisine. A little disappointed with the wine glass size ordered a 5oz and although served in a glass you would get in Italy or Greece it was not 5oz. The waitress delivering our food also took our dirty plates away I think with Covid concerns they should have a different person removing the dirty dishes to keep us all safer. I will be back in the future.
Stephanie gave amazing service, checking in regularly and helped us celebrate a big milestone. Pizza was so good we ordered an extra one to bring home.
Great staff and atmosphere!! A place with European pizza !! Love the sauce
The pizza is delicious and the service is wonderful. Lovely experience whenever I go. They have both plant based and gluten free options as well.
Not sure about the pizza but the pasta was pretty bland, bruschetta bread was really hard, small portions on both for the cost. Was looking forward to trying this place but rather unimpressed
Very cool place. Food and service 10/10!
It was understaffed when we went for dinner. Our waitress was very nice but she was too busy. Pizza was amazing! I lived in Europe for 9 years and this place reminded me of the pizza over there, true authentic pizza.
The ceasar salad is excellent, I had the basic pepperoni pizza which was very satisfying. Yes it is a bit expensive but I think it is worth it. In total $35 but can easily make it into 2 meals which I find it balances out and is reasonable.
Our server was courteous and the food was ok. They served their wine in tumblers which I thought was odd. The patio is pretty small and so is the menu. This place gets the job done if you are feeling Italian but I wouldn't bring someone I am trying to impress like a date or friends from out of town.
We had an amazing dinner - we had Brooklynn as our server who was amazing, and the food was perfect in every way!
Great food and service
Amazing dough, and perfectly baked in their wood burning stone oven. We were in Italy a few months ago and this would have been a great meal there as well!
Very good Neapolitan pizza
On point!
Terrible experience. Waited over one hour for our order and even then it was incorrect. Requested the manager check why the order was so slow and he was no help at all but gave plenty of excuses. Our first and last time.
