One of the best experiences I have had in a restaurant. Not only was the service amazing, the food was next level. My ultimate favourite was the rice balls. I order some to go because I felt I wasn't finished. I highly recommend Choun Kitchen. They know how to make incredible food and make their guest feel welcomed. This is a gem in Hespler and you should definitely go. Thank you again for one unforgettable experience.

Very tasty Asian kitchen on Queen St. It's a little difficult to find, as it has a side entrance just off of the sidewalk. Mom's Soup was very delicious and a great starter. The fresh spring rolls are large and easily could be shared between two people. The accompanying dipping sauces were not overpowering and were a nice compliment to the rolls. The Bulgogi Burger was a real treat for lunch. The patty was excellent and the burger glaze was sweet and the kimchi mayo was an excellent topping. I will definitely get it again! I highly recommend trying this little hidden gem out. You won't be disappointed with the food!

Really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Very nice lighting and design. Hearty, comfortable dishes with a great amount of flavour. Tried their burger, red curry rice bowl, and a coconut lychee creme brule. All were knockouts. Will for sure be returning. Follow the arrows to the side of the building!

Great Experience, Great Food and it's a very beautiful and quaint location. I had the Ramen for Lunch today and let me tell you, the cooked pork and pork broth were so flavorful. The noodles were soft and chewy and the add ins of nori, enoki mushrooms, soft boiled egg and green onions really completed the bowl. Great Lunch. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent brightly lit restaurant with a good vibe. The food is fantastic and I appreciate the fact that you can order spring rolls in quantities of 10. You will want to order 10 spring rolls, they are fantastic. All of the recipes are great with really good value. Order a few of the mains and share them. Plus there are churros for dessert.

My son and I walked down for dinner last night. We have been wanting to visit! We don't go out much to eat as we are plant based and do not eat any dairy or meat. We were assured that they could adjust a couple of their menu options for us. We were Not disappointed! We had an order of the fresh wraps with beautifully toasted tofu and the Thai Curry with tofu. Our meals were delicious and very satisfying! It is awesome to have somewhere to eat that we can order a plant based option as Cambridge is very limited in that regard and I think is missing out on a growing audience! It is walking distance from home which is an added bonus. When we asked our server we were told that a Buddha Bowl is going to be added to the menu AWESOME!!! Another plant based option - Thank you - we will be back! I love to support local whenever possible. Cheers Anne

We love this restaurant!! The service is always wonderful. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious! The servers are wonderful with our small daughter. One of my favourite restaurants in Cambridge for sure! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food sometimes takes a bit if they are busy because that is because they make everything fresh - just be prepared for a little wait if you go on Friday or Saturday evening. :) :) :) :) :)

I was excited to try this place because the reviews were so good. I was surprised by the portion sizes they were quite big. The spring rolls were not the best, they had a lot of noodles in them, not many veggies. I was a bit underwhelmed by the laksa and the curry. I think they could use a bit more seasoning and heat! I wasn't a big fan of the veggie choice....but that's just me. I would not return, but happy I tried it.

Visiting Choun Kitchen was a lovely experience. It was a sweet little cozy place with some of the best food I have had in the recent times. They have some great dishes from different parts of Asia on there menu, we ordered some street style fried noodles , Thai chicken curry, ramen and Vietnamese coffee, apparently my favorite. If you are in or around Cambridge and looking for a place to eat and are not shy of trying new things this is the place for you.

Got the bulgogi burger w/fries combo for 10$. The burger itself was good, the sauce was nice although i expected more toppings than just cabbage. The patty was cooked nicely and the size was perfect. The fries leave a lot to be desired, they were home fried style which some people enjoy but I am not one of them. The value was great and the service was friendly. Only minor flaws in my opinion.

Great new place in town. Nice staff, very interesting Asian menu. Serve local beer. The Lemon chicken was great as well as the Thai fried rice. I originally ordered the Turkey burger but I don't like goat cheese at all but they didn't have an alternative except for cheese slices... I was surprised then changed my order. The Mango Cobbler dessert was good but took a very long time considering it's not really a cobbler like I've had around the world. Parking was very hard to find though and no sign outside anywhere.

A Laos rooted kitchen in Hespeler was quite a surprise. Delicious food and a must try in the area. We ordered the Lao Laksa and just as a back up the time tested street style fried rice. The Lao Laksa in one word is bomb and the street style fried rice didn’t disappoint either. Looking forward to trying other items in their menu. Try them and you will never go elsewhere searching for this type of cuisine!

I have to say I'm very impressed (specially with the lemon grass chicken, and the Lao laksa) with the quality of the food and will definitely be frequenting your establishment in the future. Went here for dinner it was awesome definitely make it stop on your list for places to eat in Cambridge. The food was awesome. I had the banh mi sandwich it was full of flavorful pork and Vietnamese and French flavors all on fresh French baguette. My wife had the street style fried rice. Definitely would have made uncle Roger proud. We shared the churros for dessert what a treat. I definitely recommend for dine in or take out. I will be back again.

Decided to try something new and booked a reservation for my husband and I for our anniversary. Did not disappoint at all! Our server was friendly and accommodating and knew the menu off by heart. I got the turkey burger and I wasn't sure as I don't normally like goat cheese or fruit on a burger... So good! It came with a strong pork broth soup that I could have drank :). The special came with a complimentary dessert and we chose churros. They are HUGE and absolutely delish! Awesome way to end a meal. We will definitely be adding this to our regular nights out. Thank you Choun Kitchen for a lovely evening!

This restaurant doesn't have a pretentious menu, rather it offers very smart food choices, simple and full of flavor, just brilliant. I love the Ramen and the chicken fried rice. It also have local craft beers which is always welcome. It is well decorated, bright and clean. Service is very good also :-)

This place is a gem and if you love Thai/vietnemese type food, you will love this place. It's hidden away just off Queen St. in Hespeler village, its my new go-to. The food is fresh and simply delicious. You've gotta go!

It was ok. The rice and fried rice balls were solid, the bulgogi burger left a lot to be desired, it was meant to have a kimchi slaw, but it was just cut up cabbage with a sauce under it and the burger didn't have a strong flavour. Not sure if I will try again.

We picked up supper tonight and it was delicious! We had the sticky ribs, Thai street rice, lemongrass chicken, spring rolls, chicken ramen, fresh wraps. Everything was so fresh. The best part was that we forgot our fresh wraps and when we phoned she said they would deliver them to us. Great customer service! We highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait til we can dine in!

This place has quickly moved up to our top go-tos for food. The banh mi sandwich is jam packed with flavours-galore. The fried rice was seasoned so well that my bf, who douses his Asian food with soy sauce didn't even reach for the bottle. We're definitely planning on being frequent visitors here.

My baby dropped her toy and a nice young lady named Julia chased me down the street to give it to her when most people would not have bothered. Absolutely amazing food. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen Bowl and it was awesome. They have a lunch sized which was more than enough for a large man like myself at lunch. The description on the menu did the dish justice. Every bite I took was a different flavour and it popped. Came out hot and fresh. I highly recommend finding this hidden gem !! Thank you Chef Bobby for the amazing meal. The staff/family are amazing and friendly and atmosphere is welcoming and beautiful Edit. Parking on the street is a fierce battle as is all of hespeler however free parking all across the strip just take a turn by the library or behind queen and you're fine ! For those who seemed to have trouble ;)

Amazing food!! We had the street style fried rice and the lao laksa, and both were exceptional. I’ve had my fair share of good thai food, and my standards for asian food is pretty high, but I have to say this place definitely did not disappoint! Portions are also very good and price is very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Sarah was a great conversationalist (her brother owns the restaurant and is doing a great job) and could not have had a better experience there! We will be back very shortly! P.s. get the asian churros, they are a lighter version than your average churro but just as crunchy and delicious!

Ordered from Choun last night (thai chicken curry, asian pear salad and fried rice balls) and was blown away! Not only is it easy to tell its fresh cooked food..the flavors were incredible!! So much so, that I had to go there for lunch to try their Bahnmi and asian churros ???? simply put- amazing. So happy to have a spot like this in Hespeler!! Dont hesitate to go there.

My family and I have eaten here several times. I always opt for the ramen bowl and it's never disappointed. My family members have tried several things off the menu (and I've had a little nibble from all of their dishes) and everything has been really really yummy! The spring rolls are some of the best, and most flavorful, I've ever had. The ambience is lovely. A really neat little easily overlooked spot. Definitely worth a try if you're in Hespeler!

We had our daughter 6th birthday party here and it was fantastic!! All the parents who came loved the food, the kids gobbled up everything and the staff were so hands on helping with every little detail including decorating and all! They made arranging a party of 40 people seem like a breeze! Definitely recommend for any gathering you are having!!! Beautiful space with a great outdoor space too!!! Thank you for all you did to make our daughters day so special!!!

Portion sizes have drastically changed for the street style rice! The first couple times we went the container was full. Now they barely fill the container ???? when you are paying $20 for one dish, you should get more! Gave me pork instead of chicken in my vermicelli bowl.

Really great restaurant. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Since the pandemic my family has had take out many times and the quality of food is as wonderful as ever....especially the vermicelli bowl (big time favorite!). Definitely recommend this as a spot to dine in or take out!

Delicious food, terrific service, and beautiful decore. We had a great time chatting with them after enjoying their Ramen (best ever). The chef really puts a lot of care into the food. If you're wondering if it's a good place to try....make the effort, you'll love it!
