This place is very unique, it has the best food that's Greek, so if its food you seek, come to Santorinis for a treat!! The service here is excellent, and the appetizers were so good that we just shared a bunch of them and didn't even order any main courses!! With how good our appetizers were though I would guess everything on the menu is top quality here!! I would definitely recommend this place, and I will be going back!

This would be a good Greek food restaurant, but if your stomach does not allow Greek food than this is not the restaurant for you. The restaurant itself is small, but the foods there are great.

There are quite a lot of seats in the outdoor seating and indoors. The percentage of guests is 99% white. The menu is varied, starting at an average of $ 20 or more. TERRIBLE!!! terrible is the restaurant which permits to its waiter to complain with a customer for the amount of the tip. It is incredible what happened last night and the first one in my life, after paying the bill with my credit card, the waiter remained at our table to check what I payed as tip, looking at the amount he told me that in Canada people are used to paying at least 15%. Maybe he thought that I would have taken other money from my wallet to make him happier, but the result is totally different, I am not interested at all in your habit, I pay the bill as requested and only for that, you must thank me for having preferred your restaurant respect many others and I want hear a goodbye (he did not). Otherwise the result is just: you will not see my money anymore, even because the food does not deserve that price!

Was commuting home and stuck in traffic on centre street during rush hour, on a whim my friend and I decided to stop at this restaurant for dinner. Happy we did. Food was delicious, seafood was fresh. My favourite dish was the Saganaki- can't go wrong with fried cheese. Finished off with the authentic desserts. The wait staff were also very nice and attentive. I will be returning.

My wife and I called on short notice and they accommodated us quickly. It can get busy so it is better to make a reservation ahead of time. The food was very well prepared and extremely tasty! The staff were friendly and happy to have us in the restaurant, it seems to be a family owned place. We will definitely be going back again soon!

Love it. Food is good and service is always excellent. Go with some friends, order a nice bottle of wine, have the cheese appetizer and a good Greek meal. It is a smaller venue, sort of hole in the in the wall type place, but its part of the charm. Professional, small family sit down restaurant. Can't believe other raters are slamming because waiter expressed displeasure in not receiving a tip. What do you expect? The service is top notch, they are good at their jobs and they aren't slaves lol. In this day and age in Canada you are lucky if the person understood your order or the concept of customer service. Came here with my parents and had a fantastic experience. This restaurant managed to convince my traditionalist parents that Greek food is actually good. They were very impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food and so was I. Highly recommended. Especially the roast lamb. The downside is that it can be fairly pricey but I think the food definitely deserves and commands the price.

The chef was missing for a few minutes for some reason upon our arrival, but we got drinks and the waiter kept my coffee topped up while we waited. When our meal arrived, it was very tasty, and the portions were large. All in all, a satisfying experience :)

We were looking for a new place to eat in Calgary for our anniversary, and my sister suggested Santorini Greek Taverna. A wonderful authentic small and quant restaurant nestled into the heart of Calgary. The food was wonderful, service excellent and the ambiance perfect. I had the halibut with Greek salad and my husband the lamb chops with their potatoe, mixed vegtable and rice pilaf. For desert baklava made to perfection with just the right amount of sweetness and a coffee. Highly recommended and will take others here to enjoy.

The lady at the front treated us with an incredibly rude attitude because we were a family of 4... I have no idea why she would think that, considering she hadn't asked that question over the phone and also the restaurant was basically empty when we were there. The food was fine, and the waiter was nice enough, I wouldn't really recommend it though.

We've been trying to support our local restaurants and tonight we ordered take out from here. Everything was great!! I ordered the lamb & prawn souvlaki and the saganaki. Everything was super tasty and a lot of food for the prices. The service was amazingly nice from the lady who answered the phone to everyone at the restaurant when I picked up my order I'm excited for everything to get back to normal so I can have a sit down dinner in the restaurant. We were a party of 10 having dinner here. Between us we had 4 drinks; the group mostly drank water. None of us had dessert. The bill was $488 including tax and a mandatory 16% gratuity, which they add by default for groups of 8 or more. 4 of us had the "Taverna Platter, which is a family style meal of select appetizers and roast lamb that can be prepared for 2 or more guests. This platter, like most of the food at this restaurant, is well made and delicious, but the platter is not a great value. The amounts of appetizers and roast lamb do not justify the $39 per person price tag, and some of us left hungry. Stick to the individual main courses. Also, the serving of the various appetizers was not coordinated well, and the result was that about half the party (the ones not having the Taverna Platter) was served their main course about 15 minutes before the rest. To summarize, the food is delicious, the service good, but not great, and the price is a bit higher than it should be. There are better Greek options in Calgary.

I have been going here since they opened for about 25 years. the owner recognizes me every time even after a year. I have had every birthday and New Years at this place. Parking is good and the food terrific. I hope they will be there another 25 years.

This little Greek restaurant is fantastic! It's cozy, inviting, and the staff are lovely. The Saganaki is to die for! The pork souvlaki is really good, but the show stopper is the beef souvlaki. It was some of the best, most tender beef I've had. If your looking for the best Greek spot in Calgary, you've just found it!

I've been here quite a few times now and I have always been happy - our family recently got some take out while that was all that was available at the time due to covid restrictions. Everything was perfect, I had the lamb again and it's the best roasted lamb in the city hands down. Wife and son had moussaka and they loved it. Seems they took advantage of the shut downs and did some minor renos to what was already a very clean restaurant. Highly recommend.

Visit Santorini Greek restaurant if you want to feel like you are in Greece. The service is beyond excellent, the food is perfect! Try to reserve ahead of time, they sometimes run out of space and you might end up waiting to be seated. Either way the wait is well worth it. :)

Absolutely fantastic Greek food! Took me back to the time I spent on Kos island. Anything with lamb on the menu is going to blow your mind The moussaka is delicious. Being middle eastern, I was reluctant to try the hummus at a Greek restaurant but did at my gf’s request. I’m glad she insisted as it was amazing, better than any I’ve had in Canada and comparable only to the hummus I’ve had when visiting the Middle East. Excellent dolmathes (stuffed vine leaves with lemon sauce) and calamari. Incredible Greek wine selection The baklava is very tasty as well. The service was warm and friendly the three times I ate here. The decor is beautiful and will make you feel like you’re in Greece, with the white and light blue decor and the beautiful pictures of various Greek islands. Might be my favourite restaurant in Calgary

You’re coming to the right spot if you’re looking for the best Greek food in YYC. The roasted lamb is by far the best item on their menu in my opinion. So tender you don’t need a knife and seasoned to perfection. Best to start with the pita bread and tzatziki!

We had the good fortune of going here with a native Cypriot. He ordered for us as we had never been before and it was delicious! We decided to order a few platters along with the fryed cheese and a Greek wine. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. We ended with the bougatsa for dessert even though we were stuffed and it was worth it. I would recommend going with 4 or more people so that you can try more of the delicious menu items.

Easily one of the best Greek restaurants in the city. Very busy, make sure you make reservations! Highly recommend the rack of lamb or the lamb souvlaki. Make sure you get a bottle of Tsantali Retsina! Parking is minimal so expect a tight squeeze or to park on the street. We got lucky both times! Wonderful atmosphere, very packed, but great none-the-less.

One of the most fantastic food and customer experiences I've ever experienced. The food was cooked perfectly, and the staff - without having to be informed - caught on that it was a special night for my girlfriend and I. Our waiter took amazing care of us to the point it felt as if I was almost being tended too personally(All while maintaining the same customer service to every table he went too!) If you are on the fence of trying this place out - just do it. I promise you'll be blown away. And make sure you try the lamb! Probably one of the best places to get it in the city! :)

Ordered take-out for the first time from Santorini yesterday. Wish I could of stayed for dine-in; charming interior and friendly servers. Food is expensive, and maybe doesn't look super fancy in a take-out box, but clearly uses great ingredients and tasted fantastic. Everyone in the family loved something. Will be going back.

We came here for a birthday party. The service was fast and friendly. The food was great. The shared platter was a perfect mix of lots of tasty menu items. The mousakka was perfect. The fried cheese was incredible. Calamari was great. The souvlaki was a little dry but there was lots of tzatziki sauce to counter that. Mussels were awesome too and came with a great sauce. 5/5

The best Greek I've had by far! I had the lamb souvlaki with a side of Greek potatoes & salad. The lamb was perfect: a very fresh flavour, while the potatoes were just right with the lemony flavour. The Greek salad was on-point with the fresh veggies. Tasted the meatballs with tzatziki, & spanakopita: both were very delicious. The meal was light overall and not too rich, or oily (as I've found some Greek meals can be). The restaurant itself is very lovely - very bright and inviting, especially if you sit in the front. The lights are dimmer in the back of the restaurant - great if you want a little "mood lighting" while you eat. The staff were superb - friendly, efficient, and fast. You never had to ask for anything or wave them down - they were always nearby (but not annoyingly so), and this was a busy Friday evening. I am definitely returning & am overjoyed to have found such a wonderful place to get my lamb-fix!

Many of my customers now go to Santorini and have became good customers. Andreas and Maria will always make your visit the best ever. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. I never really review anything online, posting this for the server's and kitchen staff's sake. Came to this place because it appeared to be a family owned ethnic/traditional restaurant, which I love to support. Food was of good quality, portions were good size for me, but are probably small to what most people are used to in this province, good non the less. But the owner's attitude towards the staff was totally uncalled for. The moment we walked in, the owner was already giving the server an unnecessarily hard time, which made for an uneasy atmosphere. For the rest of the supper the owner hassled the server (who was doing nothing wrong), and never even bothered to check on the table, she would only mildly interact with us from her office chair across the restaurant in an agitated tone (which was no more than 5 meter away from us). I don't expect them to roll out the red carpet, but a bit of courtesy goes along way. hospitality isn't a thing to the owners I guess. Did I forget to mention we where the only ones there? quite unprofessional man. If you ever go make sure to tip the server girl well, she was very sweet. I was in the restaurant business for more than 15 years, in Canada and overseas, it can be stressful, so I can sympathize with both owners and staff. But the owner's prepotent and harassing attitude towards the server was cringeworthy and unnecessary at best, specially in front of customers. Again food was good, but with the attitude you might as well go to Subway.

It is indeed :)) The main part of the main dishes (e.g. the lamb in the roast lamb dish) are also pretty good, but their sides are very sub-par. Authentic tastes of Greece and best calamari I've had in Calgary! In 2011 my wife and I spent 2 weeks touring Greece and eating with locals, from Athens to the islands. When we got back we had major withdrawal and needed a Greek meal. We tried Santorini Taverna and we were amazed, it tasted exactly like the food we had in Greece! Very high quality food in a relaxed and hospitable environment. Love it.

This place has a small free parking lot. The resturant has a lot of tables but it is smaller than photos. Great for large groups or a chill date night. We arrived 10 minutes late for our 6:00 reservation which was our bad. We were told that the table we booked had to be vacated by 7:30 which we thought was an odd first impression of this restaurant as we were out for a date night and didn't want to be rushed. My husband's chicken was under done so he was a little sketched out by the food. Mine was fine but everything and very very salty and lukewarm. The food came to $70 before tipping and without any drinks which we would have happily paid for if we were happier with it. We won't be likely to return.

They ordered and RECEIVED their main courses BEFORE we received the dolmades. The avalolemono soup - our second course - took 48 minutes to make it to the table!! Love the Classic 50's ambience at Dadeo. Seafood Jambalaya and Fresh Oysters were yum!!!Both of us love seafood but we are not too fond of deep fried seafood, so these two dishes were perfect for us. Perfect seasoning on Jambalaya. We surely will be back to this place.

This Greek restaurant is absolutely fabulous! Everyone is kind and quick to help; and the setting makes you feel like you are in Greece! We typically have the Taverna Special for dinner, which gives you a sampling of all the various specialties with time to enjoy each course in between. They have a smaller lunch menu, but the food is just as excellent. Highly recommend for special occasions!

Just got the platter for 2 for takeout and an appetizer. The food is ok, but portions are very small and expensive for what you get. For example, you get a skewer of lamb that has only 3 small pieces on it. Not much there to share between 2 people. Very disappointed at $100 worth of food for what you would pay $40-50 for elsewhere. Will not be back again.

Good service. Friendly attentive staff. Very clean and neat. Uplifting decor. Feel good mood. Best lamb anywhere. Inexpensive. $22 for a lamb roast is very reasonable. Lamb was soft and moist. I could eat this every day if closer to my home. Baklava very moreish. I will be back again and again.
