Chef Raed is so talented in creating gourmet style dishes. He uses the finest ingredients and the portions are very generous. The best of all is the set menu, just sit and relax and enjoy waves after waves of food coming your way. From cold mezza to hot mezza then main course and conclude with coffee and artistic cheffy dessert. Highly recommended and worthwhile.

I went to Ritage twice with my brother and girlfriend. First time was during the Stampede and the place was understaffed and multiple items were not available. The server seemed new and unfamiliar with the menu. The food we ended up ordering was good. Second time around there was plenty of staff but they were unprofessional and ended up bringing drinks we had not ordered. Overall the food was good but the experience both of those times makes me want to go elsewhere and try other Mediterranean places.

I went there last night and the service sucked, I expected to be treated with more respect and I expected to have more fun with my friends but that couldn’t even happen. I honestly expected the food to be a lot better but it wasn’t, the food finally came after waiting for hours the food was cold and everything was a mess . I don’t recommend going there

Staff was very friendly chef Adam (the owner) is amazing he know very well what Calgary need his food is delicious, high quality, unique we had a tour in his restaurant starting from the kitchen to the patios every things is organized and cleaned it was pretty busy but things were still served in a timely manner.The drink are well made and consistent! Would highly recommend for a relaxed patio vibe. Definitely a fun spot to go.

I wish I could give them zero stars. They served me medium rare chicken yesterday night. We let our server know... She saw it, shaked her head asked if she could bring us new chicken, we said no because we were so grossed out that we ate raw chicken. (The chicken is in cubes so we did not see the chicken was raw at first) We come here once a week, the staff knows us, the owner knows us and they didn't even remove the raw chicken off of our bill.... I am now extremely sick and probably have to go to the hospital. We started coming here when the new owner first bought this place. Adam was so sweet, so we wanted to support him so we recommended our family and friends here. Now we will never step in here again.

Did not enjoy the service nor the food. The meat was dry and yet was also swimming in oil, and the flavour was not expected for beef shawarma. The service was also not acceptable, after taking out food to everyone else they left my father waiting for 30 minutes before they informed him they were out of lamb for his order. They were also out Diet Coke. They also did not have a server seat us at our reserved table, they instead just told us to go upstairs and pick the table . The only thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere. Otherwise, if you like good middle eastern food I recommend eating elsewhere. I have more reviews of middle eastern resteraunts I actually recommend

Great place to enjoy Middle Eastern food and hang out for shisha. The place is clean, service is quick, food is delicious. Staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. The building is old and the interior is a bit messy, but it has cosiness. Guests tend to come late at night for dinner, this place is 'warm' and you ll feel like you are in the Middle East.

On a quiet Tuesday evening after a long drive, we were delighted to find this gem in a cool building at the corner of 17th Ave. and 1st St. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. From a varied menu we chose the Shish Kofta Platter with beef. Everything was served hot and tasty with more than enough for both of us. Adam, the chef/owner was a gracious host and we enjoyed chatting after our fine meal. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

My Girlfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We live in the area and while jogging by, we would always be tempted by the alluring smells that came from this restaurant. Well yesterday we finally tried the food and the entire experience was fantastic! The chef/owner, Adam is an absolute GEM! He has had the unfortunate luck of opening a restaurant under 3 months ago; at the start of this global pandemic. Literally when he opened his doors, he was told that he couldn't have people in the restaurant. Such a shame because the FOOD is DELICIOUS!! You can tell that every dish is created with love and care. We ordered the Grape Leaves (best that I have EVER had), Tabbouleh & Fattoush Salads, The Chicken Shawrma Platter & The Mixed Grill Platter. As you can see from the pictures, a lot more was added! This owner truly cares about people and you can easily see that from his food. He is passionate about his creations and I for one, always appreciate when entrepreneurs take pride in their craft. Even when we were leaving, he was encouraging us to try LOCAL beers from Trolley 5 and Banff Ave. Brewing Co. He then gave us a couple 'for the road'. If you are looking for some authentic middle eastern food; and if you are looking to support hard working, local business owners, please give Ritage a call and go pick it up yourself! It truly adds to the experience. I am looking forward to a time when we can book a table and go eat there in person. This is one of those gems that I hope Calgary doesn't lose anytime soon.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday and had the best experience I have had in a restaurant in a long time! The owner was super friendly and brought us samples of appetizers and the most amazing cheese pie dessert. The server was friendly and checked in often refilling waters and making sure all was well. The main meals were hot and delicious - perfectly cooked and huge portions. High recommends and thanks for the hospitality!

Last night my partner and I went to Ritage after visiting the Van Gogh exhibit at the BMO centre. Even though it was -20 outside it was a very short and simple walk and we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome once entering the restaurant. We ordered drinks and I got a 9 oz Pinot Grigio that was amazing while my partner got a gin and tonic. Both our drinks were tasty and very well priced, a rarity in this city!! The food is authentic and absolutely phenomenal!! For thé price you pay, you get a very large amount of food!! The mezzeh came out super fast and perfectly complimented our main dishes. Not only was our initial visit fantastic, but I had forgotten a couple posters from the night before and they had someone come into the restaurant an hour before they opened so I could get my items and return my rented car on time. Very highly recommend if you’re a person who appreciates flavour and genuine hospitality! 10/10 will return :)

Came here with a few co workers on a friday around 6:30pm. Food was AMAZING. Best middle eastern food i have had in calgary so far. The pistachio hummus is highly recommended. Sheesha was perfect and was very much enjoyed after a full meal. They also had a live band play which was great! Adam the owner was very hospitable and welcoming. Our waitress lana was amazing and was attentive all evening. Wish parking wasn't so tricky, but we did manage to find a spot 5 min away. Go try this place, especially the food. You won't be disappointed ????

Great hospitality is their second name! Chef Adam is a great host making this spot super welcoming, warm and a fun place to be. They have the best shisha in town and an amazing dining experience. If you want to try authentic Lebanese cuisine dining experience go for the set menu, you will be served an infinite set of appetizers “Mezze”, and I should warn you, you might end up with no room for main course????. I found this Gem like 2 months ago and already been there for +4 times!

One of the best Mediterranean food in Calgary. The Chef will make sure that everything is up to your expectation, he always pass to the tables and ask for your comments or recommendations for a better sevice. If you want to go out with your friends, you can call him 2 or 3 days prior to your visit, and ask him to do some special menu for you: I don't think there is any other restaurant in town with this flexibility. Shisha is nice, staff are lovely, delicious food and sweets, and an owner and chef who cares about your opinion: what not to like here!! Keep on the good work...

It doesn't matter when I come here. Its always a pleasant visit. Ritage really does understand the Calgary culture and way of being. The hospitality is on point. Sanitation is of high point and all that they serve of high quality. Rita at the front is always bubbly and makes sure the tables are taken care of even when its not her job to. She keeps this place running even when sometimes their can be those that don't do their job properly. I hope she is given the respect she deserves. I do love my tea's here. Thank you for always providing a loving environment. If you want to bring a date here or just have a nice evening the balcony is gorgeous. You have a great view of the city as the moon shines over you. Even the customers that come here are very mature, respectful and make sure others are comfortable and warm. I wish you all the best in all your endeavors. Smiles can be felt even through the masks. Their hummus is like butter ... it just melts. Thank You for being apart of our Calgary culture and community. This place has been around for a long time... a icon of our city so its nice to see it go into beautiful hands.

I would have given 0 stars if google allows it! We were passing by Calgary really quickly looked for a middle eastern restaurant and this one had 5 stars so we decided to try it ! A bad bad bad idea! A young server (poor him honestly he was the only nice person there kept saying sorry for the wait)came to our table took our drinks order brought just one back and disappeared! Turns out it's not his fault the poor him was doing everything by himself almost cleaning serving doing dishes... they left us there for over 30 minutes without even asking if we wanna order until i went to tell them we are ready. They made a mistake also and brought 2 platters instead of 3 but at this point we were done so we didn't want to wait more. Chiken platter was fine but kafta was dry. 1 pita bread divided into 5 pieces for 3 people!! My friend ordered a cesar he said it was tasteless like no alcohol, honestly i don't know what happened if all the reviews are 5 stars how come this happened! Music was EXTREMELY loud , people in a table behind us were really drunk and yelling so loudly, i even asked to lower the volume of the music a little bit politely and nobody did so we switched spots! The lady behind the counter didn't even ask how was everything when i was about to leave ! I worked in a middle eastern restaurant before so i definitely know how this works ...Just spare your time and money and go somewhere else i will never come back !

Okay, have to do a rewrite since apparently the first time I came was a one off anomaly. Had the lamb platter, tabouleh, and falafel with hummus. The pistachio hummus is AMAZING and smooth and I can eat the falafels all long. So good! Crisp on the outside and soft and warm in the inside and the flavours were perfect. I had the lamb with a mushroom sauce and they were done nicely. The flavour blends were great. Service was also good when I came back. If the food is like this consistently, I'll be back.

Honestly, there is not enough compliments in the world that would explain how well rounded and great this place is. The seating areas are spacious and comfortable. During the summer, sitting upstairs on the patio with a view of 17 ave was mesmerizing. The shisha service is quick and the flavour selection is out of this world. Most importantly, chef Adams food is to die for. It is prepared and served very quickly and tastes amazing. The overall atmosphere of this place is just so welcoming and has us coming back every single week.

My friends and I ate here late one night after the Stampede at around 1am. We were super impressed by the quality of food and service in the restaurant. Our drinks arrived at our table very fast, the staff serving us were very knowledgeable of any questions we had related to the menu. The food was the best food we had eaten in a long time. The Lebanese cuisine was perfectly demonstrated and the flavours were melting in our mouths. I would love to return and taste the rest of the menu. Thank you for a great time!

Just tried a Ramadan box and it was absolutely delicious! The quality and variety of the food amazing. The soup was awesome, I loved the eggplant and kofta, the chicken and freekeh, the savoury meatballs, vine leaves and lamb that just melted in your mouth. My family and some friends visited the restaurant on a Saturday. We ordered the mix grill family platter. The food was just outstanding, the meat was served as soon as it off the grill so nice and hot and the fattoush salad was very fresh. In my opinion, I think they serve the best Lebanese food out here in Calgary. The owner of the place is Chef Adam who has a YouTube channel so do check it out. Got to meet him person and he is just a really cool guy. Definitely looking forward to visit this place again.

Always on top of their game. This is the restaurant to visit if you are looking for a great food experience with friendly reception. Chef Adam with his gracious smile will make sure that you experience is enjoyable. He endeavours to listen to all your comments and makes sure you are fully satisfied. The friendly staff, namely Rita, is also very receptive and meet your requests with great attention to details. Shisha is always good. You should not miss the daily themes with Monday’s ladies night and karaoke, Friday and Saturday are the live event nights and Sunday is the seafood day. This is a must visit restaurant where you will enjoy the time spent in a family friendly atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant while heartedly.

Came for the good review. Woret idea ever. Food was mediocre at best. Meat was dry and flavouring was meh. Any other shawarma place would be much better. Calamari was soggy. Fries were overcooked and dry. Be aware of hidden cost. We ordered chicken shawarma and the server strongly recommend us trying their beef so we asked if they can do half chicken/beef shawarma and was told they can do it specially for us but he never informed us about any additional cost until we were surprised with a $4.99 extra on the bill (almost a 25% price bump for a combo platter served with mostly chicken and only a few added little pieces of beef). Typical restuarant with pub quality food and poker face waitress thats tailored to one time customer.

We live in the area and have walked past this restaurant several times. We finally decided to try it for a casual weeknight dinner and it was SO good. The food just kept coming and everything was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Amazing price, zero up-charges for extra pita, sauce, etc. The chef came to our table to check we were satisfied. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while and the price/service make it even better. Ordered Ramadan iftar. Large portions per person. Appetizers were so delicious and perfect. That included Hummus, labneh, falafel, and 2 types of baba ghanoug. They also have great Molukhia and rice. The main entree was Kabob and shish tawooq. This were just average. Generally, will recommend them.

Honestly this a solid 5 for taste, value and service. The pistachio hummus was a huge hit, the pita was delicate, and the babaganoush super flavorful and smoky. The standard hummus was smooth and fluffy, and the portions are generous. I would order delivery regularly but I only happened to try this place by chance on a visit to Calgary. The service was really great and friendly, and I still dream of their dolmades.

Just finished crushing the set menu with my wife. Lots of food for two people (set menu feeds 4) we’re definitely leaving with leftovers. The food here is so good that even when you can’t eat anymore, you can’t stop putting your hands in your mouth. 5 star food, 5 star environment, and definitely a great experience. This place has so much potential. It needs some love and care. It's beautiful but it needs a face lift. The stairs are damaged to the point of dangerous. It's in a good location and has It's own parking as well as parking nearby. The service was excellent. Now, the food. The appetizers were absolutely delicious and plentiful. Every appetizer I had was scrumptious especially the kibbeh. But the meat was a big disappointment. It was very dry to the point of burned. It was not good. If I go back, I would eat the appetizers and skip the meat. I must say Chef and owner Adam is very nice and accommodating.

My friends and I went there last weekend at 1pm for lunch and were told that they don't open till 1:30pm. We waited and came back then wanted to order food and shisha but were told that the kitchen staff won't come in till 2:00pm. We asked to just get the shishas for now, tried smoking and it just spit out with water from the hose. We cleared it out and poured out the excess water from the base. At 2:00 while upstairs I called the restaurant to ask for food since no one was coming to check in or ask for drinks. They said that the chef isn't in yet and it was a busy night yesterday but will come asap. It was about 2:40 when he came and apologized for the delays. But the food did come to us before he came up to, so I assume he came and tossed up the food First. The food was good, very small for a serving of 4. The staff were all nice and friendly, service was really good after 3pm. Rating is low because they say that they are open online from 10am on google and Facebook but aren't. If you can't provide food till a certain time please let your customers know. The shisha with like a liter of water in the hose just disappointing.

An amazing place to eat at. The chef is the owner and he is fantastic. He actually check tables to ensure everything is perfect & his food is soo delicious. Rita was our host & she gave great service. We are surely coming back & this place will change the dining game in Calgary. By the way they are doing excellent promotions for TAKE OUT so great news for my wife))). Our new favorite place in town). Good luck Chef))

The place deserve less than a half star, they serve shisha without having any ventilation system, the food below an average, and they have no clue about service. I have read the owner/ chef response to previous reviews by only providing his name and phone number. I hope that he can answer a simple question, how do you operate your Shisha lounge without the proper ventilation??

Went for the first time today. Absolutely amazing experience. The employees are very heart-warming and friendly and the food was splendid. Definitely gives off a relaxing vibe with the decor and service. 100% recommend!

The worst shisha lounge in Calgary, food are not tasty at all. Unfortunately the health record for this restaurant is no encouraging. The place is so sketchy. I WILL NEVER BACK UNDER THIS MANAGEMENT

Oh my goodness, this restaurant is divine! We ordered the set menu, and the food just kept coming! Every last morsel was extraordinarily delicious. The staff was so friendly, and obviously passionate about the food as well as customer experience. Would definitely recommend; we had the best time!

Really comforting restaurant. The staff was understanding and the food came quick. One of the staff that I loved a lot was the Syrian waitress. The food is really good and there is a huge variety from pizza to kabab. The place felt really homey and would recommended. 10/10

Ordered takeout of the family platter that says it will serve 4-5 people on the website, when in reality it barely served 2. There was 3 of us and we had to order food from other restaurants to be full. Was really disappointed with the portions with the price of being $45.99 for the single dish. The service was friendly and dessert was good, but the food was really disappointing as it was tough and was overcooked, didn't taste the pieces of lamb at all. Ordered sausages as a side and they were okay at best. They offered us 20% off the next dine in visit but unfortunately the experience with the food was so bad that my friends and I will not be going back and cannot sincerely recommend this place.
