Chairman's is a very beautiful and talented place.... from the wine selection to the pressed linens. it was good and the food was presented beautifully and our server was exceptionally informative. The pace was a bit quick for me... I like to really enjoy the experience and I felt it became rushed after our 1st course. It started with a bang and it flattened out after that. Things I loved: The cheese toast (I know... I was surprised too BUT it was actually the best cheese toast I've had) Steak tartare Broccolini Smoked Manhattan (it was spot on- actually all the cocktails were perfect!) French 75 Pimm's cup 18oz Ribeye (get it Chicago styled - it's worth it) it's definitely a go once place and see if it's your jam!

Our waitress, Nadine, was wonderfully knowledgeable and great fun. However, food and cocktails incredibly average and extremely overpriced. It just felt like a home cooked meal...that would have been better at home. Nothing special here at all. The only standout "bad dish" was the prime steak kebabs. Sticky toffee pudding was the best....but too many raisins! Beautiful restaurant but not very comfortable. Our chairs were very low and lumpy and the table was at chest height - quite awkward. Did not leave satisfied. Would return for the heated toilet seats and bidet.

Last night we had the most amazing time at Chairman’s. The desserts and cocktails were delicious but most importantly, our service from Sylvie is ultimately what made the positive experience. Sylvie is friendly, knowledgeable and very funny. She went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at home and comfortable. Way to go Sylvie!!!

The waiter seemed like he hated his life and did not want to be there. Definitely my expectations were either too high of this place or that it was a bad day for the restaurant. It was to celebrate my anniversary so we decided on something a little more fancy. Ordered an old fashion as recommended by friends, but definitely all smoke just like the drink. The $9 cheese toast was pretty good, but the waiter didn't offer free bread. I mean I like the choice of having free bread. The beef tartare was pretty good but the crisps were really salty. We ordered a porter house, sable fish and aged ribeye. The mains were cooked well at least, +1 star. Sides were not good. The mushrooms were overly salty, the fries definitely were stale, and the dennys style hashbrown really was not surprise. We had to ask multiple times for a water top up. There was flies inside the restaurant and kept flying around our food. The windows to see the kitchen were kinda dirty. I get that doesn't affect the food but the atmosphere of the dinning was greatly affected. Overall I fell the value to experience definitely didn't match. Honestly you'd have better experience at earls or even cattle baron. So many options for food at this price range, better off picking a local independent restaurant from 17th for this price range then a big corporate chain. Was definitely a disappointing experience. +1 star for the staff at the front for trying to smile at everyone, that must be tough.

We went here to celebrate my brothers birthday and I have to say this place is beautiful. The interior is beautifully done, we got to sit at a table that overlooked the water. Our server was amazing and the good was delicious. This is definitely a spot for celebrations or a romantic dinner.

This place is next level from atmosphere, decor, service and of course the food presentation/taste. We ordered the elk carpaccio (no pic), pan seared scallops and braised veal cheek to start, all done to perfection. Veal cheek was beyond words. Then to the A5 Wagyu, brussel sprouts, fries and added the surf & turf, all done to perfection. This place will change your mind on brussel sprouts even if you don't like them. Japanese Wagyu there is nothing better cooked to perfection and a taste of heaven as always. Finished up with carrot cake (no pic) and chocolate mouse. Both desserts were amazing. Amazing place that I will definitely go back to with the amazing food and amazing service. Well done. This is the place to go to make a lasting impression. Thank you.

-Great dinning environment for this place if u find it adds value for your dine out option. -We had great service from our waiter, however we find it might be more helpful to have one more waiter to work on one side of the patio. She seems was too busy to take 100% care of every customer this evening. -Nevertheless the fact that our steak was over cooked for some reason at the beginning, the manager gave us the best he could manage to do to make our dinner great again. -Personally it’s not my first time here, and I would still trust their food and service as one of the best steak house in town.

The food made up for my short of marvelous experience. Our waiter was almost nonexistent and we waited over 1.5hr for our entre. The waiter thought we were still working on our appys even though we sat impatiently looking around for some help. The inattentiveness was a driving factor in ruining our experience, food was good but no dinner between two people should last 2.5-3 hours. Other than that, food was good and portioned well. Would debate on returning but would not go out of my way.

I went here to celebrate a special occasion and my mind was absolutely blown. I have been meaning to try Chairman's for a while now, and I am certainly glad I have. I don't think there's anywhere else I am going to be going from now on. From the decor to the service to the underground parking, it was truly spectacular and well worth the premium costs. A special thanks to Richard for being such an exceptional guide through the night.

the moment my wife and i walked in we were greeted by the nicest hostesses. taken to our table overlooking the lake as the sun was setting was perfect. the menus open up (and are lit) to a menu you’re sure to find something you’ll want to try. our server brought out a cutting board with all the different cuts. everything was cooked and presented to perfection. will definitely be returning.

Went there for the first time with my partner and it was just a fantastic experience. Our server Michael was incredibly kind and gave us the full Chariman experience by bringing the butcher board out and explaining each cut, the food was super delicious and cooked to perfection. Glad we went there and we will be back again, I highly recommend it.

Came here for my 2nd wedding anniversary and I honestly did have a great time. Wonderful waiter. Wonderful ambiance. It does take quite a while for the food to come out so I would say not to come here Hangry lol. But once the food did come it was delicious. Just not on an empty stomach. And waiting for dessert took quite a long time.

AMAZING! Service, food and atmosphere 10/10. Friday night was busy, but that didn't affect our experience. Not just ordinary stakehouse. If you want to have a special dinner - it's a place to check out. Bonus points for free underground parking. And of course the bathroom ????

This is our go to steakhouse! We used to live downtown so are used to going to Hy’s or Modern, so I was hesitant to try something in the south. We’ve been here a few times and can say it really lives up to its great reviews. The room is beautifully decorated, the menu is well laid out, and the service is knowledgeable and efficient. I recommend definitely seeing the steak board to get a feel for all the different cuts they carry. I always always end my visit with their creme brûlée - probably the best one I’ve had! Can’t wait to check out their patio in the summer!!

What an amazing dinner experience. My husband and I did the Wednesday special and it was perfect portions and the steak just melted in your mouth and was honestly one of the best cuts we have had compared to other steakhouses we have visited. The venue and service was exceptional as well, a perfect date night. I would be remissed is I did not mention the bathroom. As odd as it sounds the washroom was so clean, so organized and there were heated seats and I simply fell in love.

Made reservations through OpenTable for a birthday dinner and they hadn’t made any preparations for my girlfriend’s birthday. Food is excellent though portions are small but that’s what I would expect at this price point. What gets me is the niggling service issues; missed drink order, not asking what the occasion was for…I felt like an afterthought compared to the larger tables being waited upon. It’s unfortunate but I won’t be coming back for any special occasion again. I’d recommend another location in the vicinity or if you’re willing to drive downtown, Ruth’s Christ.

I want to start off by saying the food is always good and consistent and the wait staff always amazing! However, after eating here last night, I was not the slightest impressed. We were greeted (hardly) by the hostess, Jaime, who was very rude and unfriendly. If you are that unpleasant, you should not be the first person that someone sees upon entering an establishment. She left a bad taste in my mouth the whole meal. I was so disappointed leaving here.

The food was absolutely amazing, great atmosphere at this place, a bit pricey but worth it. We went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy but the food still came out quickly. The sides and steak were perfect. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. One thing that I should mention is that their wait staff and the front staff could improve a bit. They all seem very annoyed for some reason. If you can look past that it’s a great place to grab some steak.

Busy place, but we got in right away with no reservations on a Friday. Took about 8-10 minutes until we got a waitress for our drink order, understandable as it was busy. Professional and polite. The raw oysters were a delight, and so were our meals. Buttery gnocchi with cheese I can't recall what the spouse had as a main but all bites were savored and enjoyed. Will be back again.
