I found this place by accident and I am so glad I did. The cafe has a home-y feeling to it. Yasser is so polite, sweet, and great at making food. The food was very tasteful. I will definitely be coming more often!

This is the friendliest place. I found it only because I have friends close by. I came by for soup one day, didn’t have cash. So he say Gjve it to me next time. So brought extra cash today, told him to Pay it forward. He has many regulars. Huge soup bowls, $2.25–what is this the 90s prices?! And great sandwiches. Lovely owner.

There are times when I'll have reservations about eating out because I either feel guilty about spending too much money or eating something unhealthy. I didn't worry about either here. The soups are hearty and satisfying, but not too heavy. The sandwiches are light and simple, but not still. And both are priced very reasonably. The atmosphere is very humble and comforting, and Yasser is a very friendly host. Definitely looking forward to eating here again.

Yasser is one of the coolest people ever. Been here for 25 yrs and I know why. Great food at a great price. Ordered the seafood soup and I havent had one as good as this since Cutters lo ster bisque in Seattle (at a fraction of the cost). Delicious sandwiches too. ????

Yasser's... saying this place is a gem would be a understatement. It's been a solid day and a half and I am still in awe of how great this spot is. The owner is such a wholesome guy and saying he is "kind" is just not enough! There are regulars that come here, something you will notice instantly, and everyone has straight love and respect, for good reason. The prices are more than reasonable. The food itself could only be described as "homemade". There is NOTHING bad to say about this gem, and if you think there is, you probably need to seek a shrink for having no sense or taste. I will definitely be stopping here again anytime I am in the area.

There's a reason everyone rates this place 5 stars and it definitely deserves it. This is my 10th time coming here and I felt I had to leave a review. Yasser's restaurant is a place to get simple, delicious food at an affordable price and with great service from the shops owner, Yasser. I rave to everyone I know about this place. Not only are the price for the portions are incredible, but it tastes fantastic too. The sandwich and soup combo is unbeatable and I always feel great after I eat it. It's hard to describe how good you feel after eating it. The food is made with such fresh ingredients, you just feel healthy when you're done. And the owner, Yasser, is a really good man. Always smiling and is kind and welcoming to everyone that comes in. The combination of the great service, great prices and great taste makes me wish I could rate this place 6 stars out of 5. If you're on the fence about where to eat today, give Yasser's restaurant a try. You definitely won't regret it!

So glad we found this place! Found it on google and couldn’t pass it by with all the great reviews. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a quick and tasty soup and sandwich. Very reasonable prices, and generous portions. Yaser is very kind and welcoming and clearly has a good reputation with the locals and regulars. He came outside because we looked lost trying to find his place, the sign doesn’t say Yaser’s so look for the address on the sign. He welcomed us in instantly and it felt like we had just stopped by a friends place for lunch.

Yasser is a great cook, the nicest guy and truly cares about the community and his regulars he's been serving for over 20 years. Huge servings for cheap and the quality is still great. I would recommend his seafood chowder and cheeseburgers and all his sandwiches are fresh and stacked high! I will keep coming back.

Highly recommend this cozy restaurant. I live only one block away but only till recently , I found this place on google map as it hidden behind the trees. Decided to pop in and grab a sandwich. Yasser recommended Easter special- Turkey sandwich. It tastes great ???? I look forward to the beef burger on Tuesday :)

I don't know where to start! The food was perfect! So healthy and so delicious! The soups and sandwiches are perfect. The coffee and tea are basically the best I have ever had from anywhere! Yasir the owner is like a father us! We visited with our two young ones and he was soon caring! He made sure what is okay to put in the kids sandwiches because he knew kids are super picky! He took care of us! I felt like I was visiting my father's house and my dad was making us lunch! My two year old told her grandfather while we were eating there that she is eating yummy food. The food and the atmosphere was so homey! I definitely recommend this place!

When I worked at Burnaby Hospital it was always great to have lunch. at Yasser's. Also took my clients there because Yassur's food was so good and yet very inexpensive Everyone raves about his soups that arrive filled to the very brim. Never seen Yasser spill a drop of soup ever. He makes really good sandwiches. Also a highlight are his specials on specific days. Friday is homemade style Hamburger ???? day. Yasser's is quite the character, too. He really likes to joke around with his regular customers .imho This is one of. the hidden gems of Burnaby restaurant.ok

Visiting from out of town and am very lucky to be staying so close to Yaser's restaurant. I was very inspired by my lunch today--Yaser is a wonderful human who navigates the room effortlessly while joking with customers and making delicious food. The regulars are quite fun too and we loved how comfortable they were. My husband and I shared a bowl of soup, a plate of pasta, a sandwich, and a latte and were shocked at how low the price was. Yaser is a cheerful guy who makes simple, flavorful food and enjoys sharing it with others. We'll be back!!

Amazing food. Had chicken soup, burger, coffee and cookies. Every single item was delicious. There are few reviews here that complain that the place not "fancy". I've been to many fancy places. The level of service you get here from the kindest owner, and level of the food quality you get here - beats all the fancy places I've been to.

I really can't think of any other place that offers you the same level of value that Yasser provides at his cozy, no frills restaurant. His homemade soups and sandwiches are delicious, and his mocha is easily one of the best I've ever had! To cap it all off, Yasser is just such a friendly, thoughtful, and generous guy. He seems to have a very loyal clientele and I can totally understand why.

Highly recommend! My sister and I were in the area and needed a quick bite. After seeing all the great reviews decided to pop in. Yasser was so welcoming and friendly! The food was great, service was amazing and quick. Yasser brought us some fresh blueberries to finish off our lunch and even sent us home with a jar of olives! Can’t say enough great things. Looking forward to the next time I’m nearby for another great lunch. Thank you Yasser!
