Friendly staff, good food!
Fresh and quick, very tasty
Quiet little place, good food, good service, nice selection and reasonably priced. While they dont stand out on any particular dish I have tried, they have never let me down on anything. Great place for a meal and conversation
Great sushi place. Family friendly, always treated well, and never disappointed by the quality. A sure choice!
Super friendly & spacious restaurant, truly a gem to visit. Quick service complimented the tasty food we received. It was refreshing to see them inquire about vegetarian diets!
My family and I go here all the time. Love it, and, if we're the only ones there, they even let us turn the TV off so that we can talk instead of staring off into space. Thank you for one great meal after another!
Good sushi, good value.
If you are a vegetarian this place is a dream! Fresh, delicious and fast! Best tofu teriyaki in town! We’re never disappointed and the service is first class.
great restaurant and good food. very friendly service and moderately priced. i brought my children there and they really like it too. i would totally take my family there again.
A nice and quiet Japanese restaurant by Edmonds Street. It's a great place to satisfy your cravings for Japanese food. Bento boxes are always an excellent choice, and this eatery has a good selection. Now open for dine-in.
Good food
Nice, clean, quick service and food is good.
Sour service and subpar food
Solid sushi. Not crowded or loud so always somewhere to sit and grab a bite.
Food is good and good portion. Friendly staff. Food is already fresh. Came back a few times and it's very consistent. Will come again!
Solid food and good portion. Price is decent. Fast and friendly service. Space is clean and spacious. Parking out front. Not too crowded so don't have to wait to get seated. Very kid friendly too.
Good and quick service
Sushi is pretty decent and really good for its price. Servings are a decent size as well. Love the tea!
Really good
Reasonable presentation, mild flavors, farmed salmon. Pricing is average
Servings are ridiculously small, and poor quality. Paid $15 for the smallest chirashi I've ever been served. My friends rolls were gross, made with tons a mayo.
Affordable, best in the Edmonds area for both eat in or take out!!!!!
Service is BAD. Been a customer there for more than 4 years, always order a combo sushi rolls with 1 item change to 1 roll which is cheaper than the original roll because of food allergy. All in a sudden they said it will cost me more. Doesn't make sense at all. Seem like they want to kick customer away.
Ok sushi rolls. Tiny tuna sashimi portion for the price. Not worth returning unfortunately.
Awesome service and great food will come again, takes credit card and debit, restaurant next door is cash only
(Translated) Chinese people do not come, this sushi ???? really not good, lack of EW component, food is not fresh (Original) 中国人不要来,这家的寿司????真的不好吃,东西分量不足,食材不新鲜
Acceptable sushi and regular prices. Fast and convenient service.
Their lunch combos are very satisfying and affordable! I recommend this place if you are craving for bento meals on a budget : )
Nice sushi, however the location is not the greatest. Staff is nice too. Seating area is available if you wanna hangout with your friends/family.
This place has amazing sushi
Nice quiet spot for some sushi. We ordered one of the dinner bento boxes and one of the lunch bento boxes. Both were standard and good. Very friendly service.
I ordered take out here for the first time this evening. The staff were very friendly and approachable. Great prices (I paid just over $10 for 3 large sushi rolls). The sushi was super fresh and delicious, if a little non traditional. One of my choices was the A-typical 'white person' order of a California roll. The ingredients aren't listed on the menu, so I'm not sure exactly what it consisted of, but I believe asparagus might be a close guess. It was good, but not quite what I had expected. I will go back, for sure.
This place used to be awesome. The service is still very nice, but I am getting a sense that the portions are smaller and smaller and my order was a little mixed up on multiple occasions. I hope things will change for the better.
Good prices good taist, maybe a bit too much rice in the rolls but otherwise probably the best sushi in this area!
Friendly staff! Great clean place!
We ordered 3 party trays about a year ago for a volleyball tournament. Was real good. Have gone in three times since then. Every visit was excellent. We eat sushi lots and know about quality and quantity. This place is good on both. The freshness of the fish is obviously important to the owners. The service here is also top shelf. Fast and friendly. The ladies working here obviously know what they're doing and look to take some satisfaction in sending people away happy. I always ask them to order some of the specialty rolls for us as there are many. They know what's popular and have always done a good job. Will always come back here.
Okay sushi but better places on kingsway or further up Edmonds
Very good food, peaceful atmosphere and nice staff
the Go-to sushi place in the area. Lovely people, and amazing sushi ????
Great food and service as always !!!
This place is a gem! Food is fresh, tasty, and serving is decent. I usually order a crispy roll maki and scalloped cone. Servers are very friendly, and will attend to your needs super quick! If you are looking for something warm and tasty, try out their yakiudons. You will not be disappointed
How could the food be made so unbelievable awful. The Silver lining is that I tried it and I can tell my friends and family never to come. The sashimi taste not fresh at all and they are jokingly tiny pieces that about my thumb wide.
Good environment, fresh fish, hood price, polite employees and big portions.
Best sushi in burnaby
Very good quality for the price, nice quiet restaurant. Don't be scared that there is no one inside, it seems most of their business is take out!
Fast, friendly service - and FABULOUS SUSHI ! Everything a neighborhood restaurant should be. Osaka has become a key part of the Burnaby-Edmonds landscape !
We ordered tofu teriyaki. Unfortunately and big mistake - there was no teriyaki sauce and the tofu was rotten. Will not go again!
Cute little restaurant on Edmonds, out of the way a little bit so it's notsuper busy, but that hasn't affected the quality. Their bento lunches and other lunch specials are very large and priced well. The woman who served us was wonderful and attentive without being over the top
Great food and service.
Last time good sushi and now better food
Kind employees. Nice and peaceful atmosphere. Sushi is average. Not bad. Not any different from other places. Great prices.
Love the sushi...only down side is no a.c. and in this weather they need it!!
Ive been coming here for about 3-4 years. Staff know me. Very friendly and accepting. Very fresh sushi
Not fresh sashimi. Average sushi rolls. Dont go there if you want fresh (not frozen) sashimi.
Ordered from her for the first time on take out and I was surprised how cheap it was. Pretty good rolls, yakisoba say good too. I would order from here again.
returning tonight...best in the area
Always come here with my family. Good employee. Good food within the budgets. Recommended to all.
Hidden gem. High quality sushi with affordable price. Party tray gives you the best bang for the buck.
Good service and friendly people, the food was below average and the portions are very small. We went for a snack after eating.
It used to be good, but now they are cheap with a kind of Macho attitude. Or at least the to older guys who work there! I went to get take out about half an hour before closing Sushi Sashimi box and the salmon sashimi was cut so thin you could read through it! I was so mad Just b/c they new it was closing and there would be nothing I could do about it! Well I snapped a picture! So you can see for yourselfs
Great place and always fresh 5 stars!!!!
Went for the chiken karaage and it wasn't as they advertised on their web pages menu. So if you want chiken karaage go down Edmunds st to Y sushi for proper Japanese cuisine.
The sashimi was fresh (went on a Saturday eve). Not recommended for those looking for huge portions to fill up on. Atmosphere is a bit dated but close to home and parking available in front. Will go again.
Great price for the amount of food.
Well made food for a reasonable price.
Very friendly and polite. Clean and fast service. Food is OK. We ordered boat, bento box, beef yakisoba, prawn tempura, fried rice and oyster motoyaki. We'll order other items on the menu next time.
Good service, but small portions, especially for the fish. Their rainbow roll is Dynamite instead of California, and didn't have much of avocado and fish on top to compensate for how much the tempera overpowered the dish. (They also only serve sockeye salmon, so it's priced accordingly.) Not bad, but I wouldn't come back.
Found this little gem hunting for some quick food close to my business. It’s really clean and the owners are so friendly. The sushi was delicious! I will definitely support them again!
Always a Family Fav for Japanese food, so Delicious and Reasonable price
Good food
Japanese food
Until when are you closed??!?! The restraunt is closed. Call before you go, folks.
Our first time ordering takeout from here because Y-Sushi (where we usually order from) was closed. We were really disappointed with the quality and quantity. The $15 assorted sashimi was laughable. The salmon and tuna pieces were tiny. The tempura tasted like they’ve been sitting around for a while, especially the shrimp. Instead of crunchy, the shrimp was strangely chewy. The rolls were pretty cheaply made as well but I guess the price for those were cheap. Even my husband, who loves sushi and isn’t a picky eater, was disappointed. I was surprised since the reviews and pictures from other diners looked good. Probably not going to try again though since there’re so many good sushi places around.
My go to sushi place! Love it! The food is delicious, no complaints.
My number one avoidable sushi spot in New Westminster/Burnaby area. I had the Phoenix roll which was less than half the size of most special rolls at other restaurants with next to no tempura seafood inside. The rice on all items was bordeline unedible. Both the salmon and tuna nigiri had slivers of meat on top of six times as much rice which was either flavoured with paper bag or cardboard box and a day old texture. The gyoza was the only dish that I ate because I enjoyed it and not too avoid wasting food. 10+ minutes to get my order in an empty restaurant
Chicken Don!!!!
Everything is always fresh. Staff is very friendly
Service is always great. Everyone who works there is kind and friendly. The sushi is always good. I personally enjoy the salmon sashimi or tuna marinate. I would recommend to anyone looking for good sushi at a good price in a nice friendly atmosphere. The hostess is friendly, provides great recommendations, and is also really pretty. Parking is often full so I usually park in the lot beside them beside the dry cleaning.
Decent quality and service. Good value.
Great food and amazing menu. Perfect service! All at a very reasonable price too. I will return.
Awesome bento boxes at a good price. The only downside is the limited parking situation.
It was our first time getting take out from here. The sushi quality was really fair along with the price. I would highly recommend them for price and quality. The miso soup along with the chopped scallop n cone were exceptionally delicious. Everything else was good.
This is a great family buisness everyone is freindly and the Teriyaki is very tasty, not a sushi person but freinds say it's great!!
Always fresh, great service, not expensive compared to other restaurants. Love it, it's my go to sushi place.
Always pretty quiet, good options and quality and helpful staff.
Delicious fresh sushi that you can see being prepared by the chef in front of you. Extensive menu with lots of hot meals and sushi varieties (try the caterpillar roll, crunchy roll, phoenix roll, mango roll, etc). Clean and spacious restaurant with booths/tables, soft piped piano music, and usually sports or news on the two TVs. Parking out front. Family and kid friendly. Very reasonable prices. We ate here regularly before moving away, and we miss it a lot. Thanks to sushi chef Ryan and the rest of the team for many delicious meals and friendly, prompt service!
Food is fresh. Wild salmon. Service is very good.. family style business make you feel cozy...
Quick and tasty sushi. Good for takeout.
We placed a delivery order. It never came, website showed order was delivered! Tried to call, no answer. Pre-paid with credit card will never do that again. Bob Webber
It was very disappointed. I have to say no Japanese restaurant like this offer small quantity of food with such poor quality. We ordered the lunch box, the quantity was little and the sashimi doesn't look fresh. I only got two tidy pieces of salmon and tuna, tiny small sushi, but it still cost $15 as all other offer.
Good service and good sushi. They are great at accommodating group events
The service was good but my server couldn't really understand English but she was still very pleasant. It just took a little longer than usual to get my order. Taking one star off because the beef teriyaki lacked a bit of the teriyaki taste. I have been here before though and they do have other food that are tasty.
Loved the sushi and fried chicken. Server was attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable too, would definitely recommend
They are always friendly and make the changes I need to suit my way of eating.
Food came pretty quickly. Portions were reasonable size. Service was good.
Great choice! Quiet space, fresh and delicious sushi with reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. We stop here everytime we are in the South Burnaby.
This is a restaurant you don't need to go to. We ordered a couple of Bento boxes that were not fit to eat. The prawn tempura was hard and dry the chicken was dry and rice was very sticky, not to mention no flavor what so ever and the salad looked like it's been sitting for days and they should have kept the fruit for themselves to enjoy. So all and all don't waste your time with this place.
Take out is excellent. Everything is made on time and the orders are always right. Prices are competitive too
Best sushi in this area. They offer sockeye salmon instead of that nasty farmed salmon you get from most places. Their food is always fresh and they are really fast. The owners and chefs may be Vietnamese but it doesn't stop them from making great food!
Very good service
Great food, excellent prices. Super quick with their service.
(Translated) The sashimi is not fresh, the taste is not good, and the fried noodles are mostly bean sprouts. (Original) 刺身不新鲜 味道也不好 点了个炒面大部分都是豆芽
Decent Sushi and convenient parking.
Well priced menu. Prompt friendly service. Always fresh ingredients.
Everything is SoSo except Sashimi. Worst Worst Sashimi ever had.
