I took my wife out to an early Christmas dinner here tonight and was extremely disappointed . When we lived in Burnaby a couple years ago this was our favorite restaurant to go to for great food, drinks,and service . Not anymore. We arrived at around 430 and ordered drinks and appetizers they arrived and were wonderful I had the Jumbo garlic prawns and my wife had the fried cheese , we thought what a great start, boy were we ever wrong. I ordered the 20oz steak and a Lobster tail and my wife ordered the Lamb . My steak was not cooked properly and had a lot of fat and Grizzle it was absolutely horrible the worst steak I have ever had period, pretty bad for a Steakhouse especially one of this caliber, my Lobster tail turned out to be three mini baby lobster tails about the size of a crayfish, very unsatisfying, they forgot my baked potato altogether and the Pita bread was actually burnt so we just left it .My wifes Lamb was horrible also very fatty much more so than regular lamb. And to top it all off the waitress didnt even bother to ask if we wanted another drink even though she saw we were both out . It was not busy at all in fact there were only 2 other couples there. I dont know what happened to this place but it definitely is not the Little Billy's of old extremely disappointed especially after driving all the way to North Burnaby from Maple Ridge to enjoy a nice dinner . I do not recommend to anyone ever . This place was absolutely horrible will not ever go back again , to bad because this used to be my wife and my favorite restaurant.

Little Billy’s is my local gem!! The staff is warm and friendly, the food consistently delicious (my boyfriend’s fav is the Greek Platter to share????) and the value is exceptional….I highly recommend it!

The service is amazing!!! I'm not exaggerating. From the beginning of the visit to the end of the night, we felt [beyond] first class service. We were given some lightly grilled bread at the start. Honestly, I didn't realize it was only extra bread they had available (and decided to give it to us) until I asked our server why we were given another basket of garlic bread afterwards. That was nice of them (I guess it lowered my expectation when I saw the less than aesthetic first basket. Lol.)! The garlic bread was good! We had the French onion soup, the Avgolemono (Greek lemon chicken soup), shared a 20oz steak (chef cut-in bone rib eye) and a red wine (Domaine Baron de l'Écluse). We loved the soups! I asked for a suggestion for a smooth red wine and was suggested the above by our server - what an excellent choice! We were looking for something like Martin's Lane (they don't carry it) but the de l'Ecluse was a similar goodness (Martin's Lane is still top in my books). For the entree, they gave us separate dining plates with mashed potatoes, broccoli and salads because we were sharing the steak. That was a wonderful gesture. The steak was slightly too gamey for me. Fortunately, my other half doesn't mind. We were extremely full by the end. Thank you for the exceptional experience! Would love to try other things next time.

First time here and I was not impressed. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before someone addressed us. Eventually the owner came up and stated that it was busy. I ordered the steak and the gf ordered the lamb. With my steak I get a choice of baked potatoes or fries, but the owner neglected to ask me for my choice. I had to ask her if I get choice (as per the menu). And then the owner argued with me that it just comes with everything until I showed her the menu. Then she asked me for my choice. Our orders came with its own salad. Gf got the Greek salad and she said it was delicious and I got the spring salad. It was suppose to come with crushed nuts and cranberries instead I was served with no nuts, no cranberries and it came with a thick piece of brown lettuce. Ok not impressed. Our main came, and mine had mashed potatoes instead of a baked potatoe and the gf's lamb was greasy. The plate had a puddle of grease from the lamb. She was not eager to eat it. My steak (20oz bone in) was decent, can't really mess up steak. Eventually my baked potatoe came. We were offered free dessert for the gross spring salad. The dessert was decent, I found it ok however gf found it dry. The entire dining experience was not very pleasant, each server that came, im pretty sure they saw our water glasses empty several times but yet left our table without offering for a refill. Eventually the owner saw and offered more water, and the server also noticed but most of our dinner we were waterless. As for the ambience, it was busy and a little noisy. I get it and it was fine. However there were these couple that were clearly intoxicated and were being loud and obnoxious which ruined the gf dining experience. As for a first timer I am not impressed especially at keg prices. Will I come back here... Most likely not, Id rather go somewhere else. I'm sure this is a great place since it's a local establishment but the gf and I will not be coming back.

I chose Little Billy's to cater my wedding and was sadly disappointed with the overall experience. I had gone through them earlier in the year and was very happy with everything... They delivered, set up, and took away for 60 guests. I'm thinking now "special" orders need not apply. The wedding was small but we had a couple vegan guests and one who was celiac. We specifically requested several items along with the maximum plate cost. One dish we requested in particular was the tomato pesto pasta dish with veggies, no cheese and with the pasta and sauce separate. Pretty simple I think. The chef? owner? almost scoffed and sounded condescending at the request and I felt he wasn't really listening to me. However, in the end he guaranteed they'd do those dishes "and more" for the price and I felt assured everything would be great. Unfortunately, the evening of, we were disappointed. First, a couple of the dishes we requested were not there, and the pasta they sent was not only a different sauce than we requested but a CHEESE sauce, none-the-less, and it was not separated from the pasta. This all wouldn't have been worth a review but it was the air of insignificance to our situation we received from the chef when we came to pick up the food after we were left in the dark (until the food was already late) that they would not be delivering our food for such a small order (30 guests).

The owner checked on each table at least twice, which makes the restaurant feel very welcoming. The food and atmosphere is wonderful. We went on our wedding anniversary and they normally are reservation based but had a table available. Highly recommend.

So my husband & a friend went for a nice dinner the other weekend here. Service was good, food was delicious. They were happy with their experience. Both of them, within 20 min of arriving home ended up being sick all night. constantly running to the bathroom all night. I was up my husband and my friend, our friends wife, was kept up all night as well. We called the restaurant to let them know that something they may be serving if making people sick. Woman who answered the phone was kind and told us she received others calls that day of other people getting sick. She said she call us back on Monday, took our number down, after she speaks to the owner to see if there is anything they can do for us. Never heard back. I just called them back asking for an update and mentioned she never called me back. The response received was they never got calls from anyone else getting sick so there is nothing they are going to do for us 'discount' wise and that it wasn't their food and if we want we can physically walk-in to the restaurant and talk to the owner. ???? and she never called us back ON PURPOSE because there is nothing the owner is willing to do about it. I've lost so much respect for this restaurant and that owner. If you say your going to do something, do it. There are so many amazing restaurants in this city. I definitely won't miss this one. Our friends constantly ask us where to go that good for date nights. Hubby and I are known for being foodies. This restaurant is no longer on my recommended list.

New years Eve: Food was actually great. We ordered take out and they forgot one of our meals... Not a huge deal, I drove back and picked it up. I had also informed the restaurant of a garlic allergy and they said they'd handle it. They did not, put garlic in it (batter), and our guest had an adverse reaction. When we called back to ask, they said the dish did contain garlic and that it was busy and they missed it. Our guest luckily tasted the garlic after a few bites otherwise he would have had to go to the hospital.

A very friendly family run restaurant situated on Hastings street. Over all the atmosphere is family oriented, good for group dinners. The food was very solid, although can benefit from a menu revamp. Everyone at our table agreed that the chicken livers were a bit too greasy, but the calamari was on point. Escargot was good but can use more seasoning. I had the ribs as my main, it was tender and fall off the bone, but again, It could use more seasoning or sauce. It was a bit on the dry side. Our server was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. Overall good customer service experience.

I went here for my birthday dinner and I wasn't impressed with the service. They were understaff and the wait time for my meal was over an hour. After 45 minutes I ask if I could get my soup to eat here and my dinner to go. On top of that they ran out of Ice Cream so I couldn't get my sundae that was included. The own went to every table and chat to see how they were doing and she walked right pass me. At least she smiled at me.

I ordered an appetizer spicy calamary and the daily special 4 dishes: Tomato soup, salad, steak & prawn, and chocolate sundae. Everything was perfect except the big potatoes on my steak and prawn plate. That potatoes were extremely salty. You might want to ask them to change that with their mashed potato. My boyfriend order came with mashed potato and it taste good. The place was nice. Price was good. Service was also good. It can be a good place to bring your date.

The roast lamb was nice, everything else left much to be desired. The salad and sides were bland and fairly mediocre. The lamb itself was tasty and tender. Maybe not worth $26 though. Two florettes of broccoli and a quarter of a potato seemed meager for the price. The restaurant was empty when we dined, so I'm not able to comment on the atmosphere. But the owner added to the ambiance with a loud, expletive laced, conversation with the bartender, that we weren't able to ignore. She also made some disparaging comments regarding Chinese people. I'm Chinese. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Little Billy's Menu was so impressive! It was hard to decide what to have! I finally chose the Beef Tenderloin with the Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes with the Spring Salad as a starter. The Spring Salad was lovely! It was light and had such a rich unexpected flavour! The olive oil mixture was mouth-watering! I was so impressed! Then dinner arrived and the flavours were INCREDIBLE! The steak was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were prepared beautifully: light, fluffy and every bite was delicious. There was steamed broccoli with an incredible greek-infused olive oil - I've never tasted vegetables on a steak dish that were this good! At other restaurants, I've experienced veggies that tend to be used as a garnish or plate-filler but not here! I literally ate EVERYTHING on my plate. We finished with rich vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries. How refreshing and sweet! I can't wait to eat here again!

Genuinely outstanding, and FAR exceeded expectations. They run a Monday to Thursday special for a four course meal (soup, salad, main, sundae) for only $24.95, and we had "appropriate" expectations for that kind of price. Were we ever wrong. Portions? HUGE. Taste? Fantastic. Quality? Outstanding. Service? Top notch. It seemed filled with regulars and repeat customers, and it's not hard to see why. We will absolutely, positively be back - and soon!

No longer impressed, something about the quality has gone down, I ordered a double mojito and I’m a very casual drinker, one and some even but it it tastes my like a watered down sprite, and my friend ordered a margarita and it too tasted more like salt water than a proper drink, we ordered roast lamb and I had such a small cut compared to my friend and I even overheard another table complain about stale wine, I was attempting to be vocal with the owners just by the bar and were seated right behind them and no action, they didn’t even ask how the drink was, or anything. We even realized the prices has even been misquoted after sharing notes of experience after we had left. The food is alright but this experience has left me with a sour taste and question if quality is now declining.

First time at little Billy's and i was very suprised at how much i liked it! Had a wonderful waiter! He was truely great, very enthusiastic and friendly! The food was delicious and even the other patrons were super nice. I had the saganaki for an appitizer and man...probably the best i have had! The wine was great and i ordered the roast lamb for dinner... another customer had recomended and informed me they drive in from chilliwack for that dish.... and man it was soooo good! The atmosphere was very fun and the decore was super cozy with twinkly lights in strings from the ceiling. We will be back again for sure!

Came during lunch time, pretty empty. Waitress was friendly and nice. Got the 4 course meal special. Soup of the day took around 5 min to come. The soup was called avalemono which has chicken, lemon, and rice. The salad came a couple minutes after I finished the soup. The arugula salad has a unique texture of crunch between the greens and the nuts. The steak came five minutes after I finished the salad. Came with two fairly big pieces of broccoli and two spoonfuls of mashed potatoes. The steak was medium rare and cut easily and was phenomenal. The lobster tail was average, however. Overall, for the price, it's definitely worth it.

The food was not bad but the potato was a little overcooked and there was some gristle on the tenderloin. The calamari was delicious but I think the little sides (tzatziki, green onion, etc) were proportioned and kept in the fridge? Atmosphere was amazing and welcoming. The service was well done but there were some mistakes, like bringing the bread out after the main meal. But the service was quick and efficient. Overall good and I would try going back again.

Walked in for lunch and loud tv's were on with news. No ambience whatsoever. I ordered Chicken souvlaki and my friend ordered Lamb souvlaki. What a joke. The pieces of meat were the size of my thumb nail. The pita bread was cut into finger strips...how cheap. Overpriced. North Burnaby is in desperate need of some decent restaurants. Never again.

Great place for a date night or for family occasions. We were greeted very pleasantly by the waitress who made our experience even better for the night. French onion soup was very nice and my partner had a very nice course meal. Value is up there as well. Expect generous portions so ensure to unbuckle your pants. My partner and I both agreed that we will definitely return to try other menus.

We finally made it to Little Billy's Steakhouse. Interesting to note that the menu is not really reflective of a typical steakhouse. There are some steak dishes, along with Italian dishes including pizza, Greek Dishes and Seafood too. So the question is; Is this truly a Steakhouse? We decided on our entrees, the halibut and chicken souvlaki. After reviewing some of the other patrons reviews, we kept an open mind. To rate this 5 stars out of 5 stars would only indicate to me that people need to get out more and truly experience a 5 star restaurant in Vancouver. We thought our meals were good, not great. The one hiccup was that the asparagus on the fish was really overcooked, stringy in texture. The rest of our meals were good again not something to get excited about. Our server did an excellent job and the owner came over to ascertain if our meal was okay. The setting is a 4 out 5 as it is a small quaint establishment. If I could rate 3.5 out of 5, I surely would. It is a better than average restaurant and for the area it is probably one of the better ones to visit.

We ordered Stuffed Crab Mushrooms for appetizer, lamb chops and a New York steak for mains. The stuffed crab mushrooms were not impressive. Either there wasn't enough crab meat, or the seasoning covered the crab meat taste, we could hardly tasted the crab meat. Nit pick - the mushrooms were irregular - some were in whole and some were chopped. The dish would have been more presentable if the shapes of the mushrooms were more consistent. Mains were big portions! They came with a big salad, and sides (potatoes and veggies). Their pita bread was really good. The lamb chops and the steak were just okay.

I came to little Billys steak house today for a late dinner. It wasn't busy. I heard from a friend that it was worth trying. I was sadly disappointed. The service was not attentive. The servers were drinking and barely came to serve us. The waittress ended up chatting with her co workers and didn't come to check on us at all. My only hope was the food but was disappointed aswell. The food was cold and looked as if it was just thrown on the plate.

A free dessert was offered and accepted as an amends for the error. It did kind of put a damper on things however the food tasted really good ( roast lamb, chicken fingers, rack of lamb, prawns) and we decided to come back again some other r time in the future. Hoping we can write about a better experience when that happens. Would recommend this place. Worth checking out if you think the menu looks like your thing.

Very lowbrow establishment. My differently abled sister who is on assisted living applied for a job here and was given an opportunity, unfortunately she was unable to work fast enough for business standards and they let her go which I can understand. What I cant understand is that they told her they'd call her with further shifts and then ignored all her calls and refused to pay her for the hours already worked. Finally (over a week later) she went into their business alone and in person and demanded that they pay her for the shift and they conceded. I can't imagine what kind of person it takes to take advantage of a person who is obviously struggling hard just to find employment and stiff them until directly threatened (via the perceptions of present clientele) to do otherwise. Do the world a solid and enjoy a juicy steak at an establishment with some kind of existent moral standard

I went there for dinner last night with a group of 10 people for mine and my fiancee's engagement party. The food and service was incredible! Excellent atmosphere. As always, my favorite restaurant by far. The spicy calamari was to die for (as was the grilled calamari). Great selection of steaks and Greek food. The server was attentive and super friendly. Andrea was kind enough to stay late and let us come in the night before the party and decorate! You should definitely try this place - you will not be disappointed. It is small so reservations are a good idea.

Had the roast lamb. It came with brocoli, rice, and Greek salad. The lamb was tender, juicy, and flavourful. The rice was also perfectly cooked and flavourful. I have no issue with the other Greek restaurants throughout Burnaby- they're all good. If I had to pick one, though, this is the best one. Probably not five stars, but when people leave really poor reviews- unjustifiably- I will give five stars. This is not a high end restaurant with high prices for small portions of perhaps better quality and locally sourced food... For what it is, though, you can't beat it.

I recall back in the early 1980s when Little Billy's was a series of really good pizza places serving some really innovative fare...Escargot and Feta Cheese Pizza! Today's Little Billy's is different; it is a cool, busy and rustic...old school vibe to the restaurant and menu....some critics have suggested it is 'dated', but i lean towards 'classic that works' The Paulaner Weifsbier (wheat beer) on tap was great..ice cold, mild, with a hint of traditional wheat flavour. We had saganaki for an appy, probably the best I have ever had. Chicken wings were chicken wings, fresh and hot and good, though not spectacular next to the friend cheese The roast lamb was flavourful, moist and tender, and with the salad, rice and potato was more than enough. The New York steak, ditto...cooked to perfection, tender and tasted like a good steak does. For dessert, the High Five, a really decadent chocolate cake. Amazing. And the staff...friendly, warm, polite and hard working (they were run off their feet) but still all the time in the world to chat about the menu and the photos on the wall, and despite how busy it was we were given all the time we needed. We are heading back very soon...nicest dinner we have had in a long while.

I came to little Billie for my birthday. I have to say that it was a very special evening for us. Covid has brought new regulations and little Billie followed everything and I am happy to recommend. We ordered steaks and the kids had chicken fingers which are to die for!! Homemade. The restaurant ambiance is just like sitting at a parisien café. Minus the music ???? I was told the first patron gets to choose the music so arrive early if you want this perk ????. White table cloth and nice table settings. The service was amazing and attentive. The owner even walked by and did a check up!????. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of food and this is definitely Burnaby’s hidden gem. I want to come back????thank you so much.

Best rack of lambI have ever had and portions huge!!!Stuffed mushroom caps not great but forgot about them after my very fresh and large Greek salad that came with the meal and a well made cosmo. Worth every penny of the $37.00 I paid as you also get very fresh veggies,potatoes and or rice. Very busy when I came in but for a small packed restaurant was run like a well oiled machine from the wait staff to young knowledgeable gentleman making my drinks among doing many other things such as hosting,serving, bar tending and waiting tables. He was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of and even pointed out dishes they had ran out of right away instead of letting me waste my time. Definitely will be going back as also pointed out how they are open for lunch also. Nice to see a restaurant run by staff that are very attentive,knowledgeable and seem to really care.

We went for a later dinner and had a reservation so we were seated right away. Our server was great and provided excellent service the entire time we were there. We ordered the Greek platter and the food was pretty decent, but left something to be desired. Now where it fell short...it's a smaller place so it can get quite loud. There were two tables in the front of people in their 60's to 70's very VERY loud and obnoxious, thought maybe they had too much to drink. The one table, who seemed to know the other told the loudest lady jokingly that she was disturbing the other patrons. She replied with "I don't give a shir, this is ny restaurant". We heard the same thing numerous times, and it made us feel quite uncomfortable and not welcome. There were quite a few people there that seemed to know each other, even a man who didn't work there who kept approaching other tables, trying to make small talk and talking about the menu for minutes on end. If you are looking for a nice welcoming place for a date night or nice evening out I would not recommend, at least if the owner/wife is entertaining at the same time.

This air conditioned five star family run restaurant with a warm atmosphere in Burnaby serves the very best dishes at reasonable pricing. The serving staff is wonderful, the chef and his crew are top notch. My only wish is that they never retire and close down this business because being the best restaurant in the Lower Mainland does take a lot of effort and discipline. Well done Little Billy's!!! Waited over 15 minutes for a drink order. Then, appy took another 20. Salads took another 20 after the appy was cleared. The mains took about 20 minutes. My gf's strak was rare (ordered medium) and all of her sides for the bake potato were frozen. Sour cream, green onions and the bacon bits. All frozen solid. Server never came around to ask how things were for 20 minutes. By then we had to leave. Gf ate 1/3 of her dinner, if that, and they only gave us 20% off her meal. It should have been comped 100%. Would not go back. Also short staffed. 2 people and the owner. 1 staff was very pregnant so we dont blame them. But poor experience overall. Especalially for my gf's birthday dinner. Too bad because we had high hopes.

It was a big portion with lots of sea food on there made tender and fresh. Good food that doesn't try too hard to be cutting edge: tasty, good quality and nobody trying to be avant garde by adding nori foam or some such nonsense to some random dish like a lot of other lower mainland mid-range restaurants. Steak is great, prices reasonable for the quality, portion sizes are good. There is a bar area of you want to arrive ahead of your party. Feels family run, so dress up or clean casual, you'll fit in. Good for groups, but you'll need a reservation.

Generally impressed. Greek salad was big and fresh. Prawn appetizer was great too. Lamb shoulder was very tender and done with a zesty mustard sauce. Service was a tad slow but here's what saved it: the server caught on that it was my birthday and, as a surprise, brought deep-fried icecream and chocolate mousse for all four of us. Outstanding.

This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had in BC. If you want the same quality food, go to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Our server was working while very sick, they missed items, were rude, and most of the meals were of the same calibre of which you would expect from a fast food restaurant. I leave many reviews, and it's incredibly hard to get a single star from me. The owners of this restaurant should be embarrassed. Today we came in for dinner. Our server was visibly sick and wiping her nose on her sleeve between sniffling and taking our orders. Our waitress clearly had no experience waitressing before, but we just figured she was new and gave her the benefit of the doubt. She was mumbling, handing drinks over peoples heads, rude, and out of it. We ordered a couple drinks, which were all quite good, honestly. Props to the bartender, at least. We then ordered our meals and our server had to take the menu out of our hands to read about our Steak choice. She had clearly never read the menu previously. She then left with our orders, only to return a second time and take all of our orders again because she had forgotten everything we ordered. We mentioned to another server that our server seemed very ill and was wiping her nose on her sleeves. She said she would deal with it, and we heard nothing back. Eventually we got our meals, from the same sick server, which were all very disappointing. To begin with, the meat (Lamb, Steak, and Shrimp) were all cooked fairly well. However, the fries with the steak were cold and soggy, the broccoli had clearly been flash frozen and boiled with absolutely no seasoning, and the pasta was incredibly bland and disappointing. On top of that, they failed to provide the Pita bread for the order of Lamb and the bread for the pasta. After requesting the bread, it took more than ten minutes, and a second complaint, to arrive. The bread provided included two burnt pieces of pita. When we inquired why we were provided pita for a pasta that said it came with bread, we were given attitude and told it came with pita. However, the menu was very clear that the lamb came with pita and the pasta with bread. The server then, very rudely, asked if we needed garlic bread. I sent my meal back, 95% uneaten as it was so disappointing. They then provided us with the bill and tried to charge us full price. When we insisted that we not pay for the uneaten meals, they threatened to call the cops. After much arguing, we finally managed to get them to remove the cost of my meal. I highly recommend that no one, ever, goes to Little Billy's. Its the worst dining experience I have had in 15 years.
