Today is my first experience with this restruant through Uber Eat , the Risotto very poor and the taste not Italian at all , also the Tiramisu very very very bad unfortunately I don’t recommend this restruant if you know what’s the Italian style look like .

sad to say they have failed my culinary taste buds. Was here for an event, great atmosphere but poor food. I wouldnt say this is a fine dining location or anything near a 4-5 star restaurant. We had a set menu- 5 course- had the pasta, quite ok but lacking more umf to the pasta sauce, The fish tasted like it was from frozen, watered down- sauce tasted sour-Veggies were bland to combination, Veal was dryer than the desert, bland, flavourless. Bread was mediocre, although it would be nice if they had it nice and warm to serve. Olive oil with olive tapenade was good. This is just a simple restaurant with simple vibes but food set me off the tracks therefore i wont be back.

We've been going to Baci for the past three years and have always had a positive experience. The service is kind and professional, the food is delicious, and the restaurant and washrooms clean. We most recently went on a Tuesday to take advantage of the 3 course dinner - yum! We'll be back again soon.

First time at Baci's. Visited on a Wednesday evening. Noticed that pasta and pizza is a lower price Tuesday - Thursday. Tried the Linguini Alla Carbonara. It was really good. Portion size was good. They also brought out some bread before the meal with a seasoned oil for dipping. I'd recommend trying this restaurant if you are in the vicinity.

What a wonderful place! Went here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We had great friendly service, and was even seated by the owner himself. We were lucky enough to get there in time to hear the fantastic live music and watch the sweet older clientele dance their hearts out! The food was just so tasty & delicious, well presented, and executed professionally. I will happily be returning in the future for sure.

I came for the dine out menu, overall the pasta was really good. I got the seafood linguine ....best pasta! The salad was a bit bare minimum, nothing special. And the tiramisu was delicious. Next time pls let customers know you will be charging 7$ for sparkling water it's a bit overpriced for one bottle of san pellegrino. I would definitely come back for the pasta

Loved our very first dinner with MAD Jazz live musical night at the restaurant. Lovely ambiance and delicious food. Courteous service with servers frequently visiting table n making sure of any thing needs attention. A bit too much of an eye though but it was understandable for how they make sure all stays neat and taken care of right away. We enjoyed the evening with MAD Jazz live performance. Definitely a place to revisit n bring family n friends. Parking easily available right on the street. It was the weekend n after hours were free.

My friend had his Birthday here. Nice atmosphere, the food was excellent. Service was top notch! We had a set menu and we were able to choose between 3 mains- Veal, chicken and basa fish..I had the chicken which was served with a mushroom gravy, a sliced roasted red pepper, mashed potatoes and a piece of broccoli. * First course was a yummy mixed greens salad with vinaigrette, second course was a penne pasta in tomato sauce, third was dinner.. no dessert, but the birthday boys family brought a birthday cake. Although the food was great, I did find it a lil expensive. It was $37.50 per person, plus a $21 gratuity (set) a small glass of red wine was $10 which is pretty standard. Friends had caesar's which was $9 Live music & dancing which was fun! One critique though..music could be a little softer, once the band started singing we couldn't talk much. Overall it was fun !

This place is nice. Nice interior, cozy and pleasant atmosphere. I went out with my girlfriend for dine out. I ordered cesar salad, and it was ok, I have had better ones. My girlfriend ordered caprese and it was delicious. For main meal I ordered chicken with mushroom sauce, and she took gnocchi. Both were amazing. Deserts were nice. My girlfriend who isn’t eating that much complained that portions were too small. Service is not bad but it is not good either. For the price we paid I was expecting more. Overall, everything was fine.

Baci Ristorante has been in the Heights neighbourhood for years. It serves typical Italian food. Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. On the weekends they have live music and dancing. A lot of regulars frequent this place. I've been several times, most recently with a group of friends for Dine Out Vancouver 2018 (only because we left it too late and couldn't get reservations at any of the places we really wanted to try). The food offered for this event was adequate. A good variety of starters followed by three pasta dishes to choose from (the choices were very disappointing) and a selection of their most popular mains. Dessert was not included but could be added on. The service was exceptional and the owner of the restaurant was very welcoming, friendly, informative and funny. Was it worth the $30 set price for Dine Out? No, but I will likely go back during the year and order from the regular menu. Overall, not a bad place. There are definitely much better choices for Italian food but Baci is conveniently located, has lots of free parking, usually you can get a reservation on short notice and the staff is great.

Ordered several items tonight, two pastas a soup and a couple salads. The soup tasted like nail polish remover... I know we are trying to sanitize well but we have to also make sure that the food doesn’t taste like that. the salad was red onions with a couple tomatoes and no lettuce... it was all around horrific. The pasta was old old old soggy and gross. Would never, EVER, try this place again. Too many misses.

This is the 4th time we have dined at Baci Restaurant, and it may be our last. I hold Baci to a high standard when it comes to service and we were very disappointed. When I phoned the restaurant, I told the phone person that we wanted a reservation and that it was our wedding anniversary. The lady said it would be noted. I expected some recognition by way of a compliment at a minimum when we arrived or even a token complimentary dessert, however, nothing was said or done, and it annoyed me. They missed a great opportunity to wow us. To be fair, the food was excellent, however, our waitress was your classic unenthusiastic order taker and very unprofessional. She had no personality whatsoever and when we were in the middle of our salad, she arrives with the escargots whereby we had to remind her to slow down and space the meal since we were not in a hurry. When I asked for the bill at the end of the evening, I gave her an entertainment book coupon and it appeared she was miffed about this, and her attitude when I paid the bill was almost one of contempt. There was no smile, no "Thank you for dining with us and we hope to see you again". She tossed the receipt on the table and abruptly left. Smarten up folks, there is a ton of competition in your market and you need to do a better job making clients feel at home.

Great Italian restaurant in Burnaby. Flavours were on point, especially the Caprese salad. The Veal Parmigiana was good. The cutlet was a bit too crispy on the bottom and it would have been nice to have a small portion of simple pasta to accompany the entree instead of just the vegetables. Service was top notch and attentive.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight. Unfortunately they were all booked up for christmas parties. However the owner came out front and told us that he didn't want to see us turned away out in the cold. They pulled a small table for us. The food here is wonder authentic Italian cuisine. From the brucietta to the tiramasu they did a fabulous job. I highly recommend their smoked salmon pasta. The service was also incredible I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful place to enjoy an Italian family-style meal in the heart of Burnaby Heights. Baci Ristorante is something else. Amazing atmosphere and the background music. Last night we were invited to go to #BaciRestorante with my family friends (my wife and me), and we had appetizer plates, Fish and Chicken dinners, was fresh and so delicious. Amazing Service and wonderful OWNER Marino and his kindly wife. I would highly recommend visiting this Italian Restaurant when in Great Vancouver and especially in Burnaby.

We made reservations for 4 people last weekend - and ended up being seated in the middle of a wedding which occupied the entire restaurant. The food and service were good. The bread served at the table with oil and balsamic was dry and tasteless. It was an unexpected entertaining evening since a wedding was going on around us - and we had no prior knowledge if this when we made the reservations. There was a live band and lots of dancing as well.

Boyfriend and I ordered 2 pastas and a starter for take-out. We were super excited to finally try this local place that has some really great reviews! However, the pasta was so bland, maybe it was just our dishes... but if we were to crave pasta again, we would much rather go to Antons down the street or anywhere else. Overall, it was tasteless, and we were very disappointed. Portions were good. Service was okay at pick up. But the food, was awful and we ended up throwing it out. Meatballs were unpleasant tasting. Sauce for pastas had no taste. Won’t be coming back unfortunately.

We did the Vancouver Dine Out event at Baci with a couple of friends. We have been to Baci before and we've never been disappointed with the food. The $35 menu had decent choices for the 3 course meal. We chose salads, mains & dessert All the food items were good. Atmosphere was very nice . The only complaint I am going to make us the location of the bathroom, it is located downstairs otherwise a lovely place to have dinner.

Ive never dine-in yet as I only knew them prior to lockdown and to be a good citizen yet support businesses, I have only been ordering for take out. Portion are incredibly big. We were there for our anniversary dinner, food was ok but not fantastic. The lasagna noddles taste like they were boiled out of the box and not made fresh. Pizza was ok but if you want good pizza and pasta at reasonable price which is better than BACI, I suggest you go down the road to Stans Pizza Joint for much better food at more affordable prices. As for the service at BACI, it was ok but not fantastic. But what topped it off for us was when we got the bill, the waiter got all upset with the tip, and ask why it was not more than 15%? Why should we give that much of a tip if we were not satisfied with their service and food. When we ask them to take out our left over pizza, they put it in a broken container that look like it came from a garbage can. I don't recommend it and will be telling to everyone to stay away unless your 55 or older which seems to be the clientele that goes there.

We were Harrassed by the waiter - always hounding us about what to order next, pouring, always there when we didn't want him there and never around when we wanted service. I found it Horrible service and then had the Gall to argue for a bigger tip!! Outrageous. Will never go again.

I would NEVER go back to this restaurant again. If I could give zero star, I would. The food was so mediocre. My friend's garlic creamy pasta was tasteless. Even more upsetting is that the customer service was horrible! When we needed the waiter, he was nowhere to be found. He was impatient and seemed quite frankly, arrogant. We were not satisfied with the experience at all, so we didn't want to tip too much. I think the waiter didn't understand the concept of tipping. Customers would tip more if they had a good experience. It's one thing to hope but another to expect big tips. We had a horrible experience. He had the audacity to say out loud to my guest about her not tipping enough. The nerve! I called the restaurant to complain and the owner was, as expected, equally arrogant and defensive. The staff and even the owner need to be retrained on what good customer service means. Every good restaurant I went to, they always asked if I wanted the food to be served individually or wait for everyone to be served together. Whereas this restaurant, every time customer complains, they do not sympathize and just talk back and argue. Very unprofessional....What a low class restaurant.

Jul 23, 2019 I've passed by Baci Ristorante in Burnaby on Hastings St , a few times and from the looks of the place , its been around quite along time. Its an older building that could use a makeover. I was almost going to apply for the kitchen helper position but after reading a review about a rat climbing down the wall into the washroom. Well I won't even bother . That just says the place isn't clean inside the restaurant . I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like .

A hidden little gem in plain sight. Passed it bye for years, noticed the signage but somehow never made a visit. Finally got there and realised what has been missed. Great little Italian place in the traditional style. Friendly and informative service. Only had a pasta dish but if it is representative other dishes are to be tried. Saw some dishes at other tables and they looked fabulous.

We've lived in Burnaby North for over 8 years and embarrassed we've never eaten at Baci before! We want to support local as much as possible and ordered for pick up. My spaghetti pomodoro was tasty and fresh, pasta perfectly cooked and the sauce was not super oily. The portion was very generous! I have at least two more servings to still enjoy. I loved the substantial serving of veggies in the minestrone soup and thrilled I ordered a second serving for the next day. My husband and brother both ordered "create your own pizza". The pizza crust truly is a hybrid of the traditional neapolitan and north american styles. My husband prefers only commercial north american but thoroughly enjoyed this! The meal was beyond affordable to feed 3 adults with leftovers! I was pleasantly surprised at the bill as it was a fraction of what my husband and I have been spending at the other bigger chain restaurants. We will be ordering from here again and look forward to supporting when dining-in resumes in BC.

One star for atmosphere and one for live music. It is a good experience if you would like to have a taste of Italian culture. But the rest....Food portion is extremely simple and poor. The dish with "seafood" it is two overcooked small shrimps... For some reason they added 18% gratuity without notifying me verbally or on menu. It's only for two people and it was 150$ order. I don't mind to tip but it has to be optional and the service was below average. The thing to made us mad was the fact that on a bill they charged us PST. Since when do you pay PST for food?! It's kinda iligal as far as I know. Overall I wouldn't recommend that place.

You can find pretty much authentic Italian here. I like their pasta. Server is really friendly and nice :) Oyster was a bit fishy for me, but my friend liked it, guessing I was a bit sensitive at that time. Good place to try ????

This restaurant is a great place for entertainment. The best part is their live music and the dance floor! Their band is great and energetic and you can dance anytime while you’re having dinner, before or after. Sea food is really great, specially the platter they have in share appetizers, really amazing. The service is good. Their chicken is usually good too but the meets really need improvement. The service is not the greatest but ok.

We ordered pasta from Baci's again Saturday and once again the pasta was al dente, sauce tasted like tomato sauce! I ask for extra tomato sauce and they do not skimp on the sauce! Thank you Baci's for providing awesome tasting pasta!

Delicious!!!! Had the fresh halibut and it was so good!!! Dined in but usually order take out and get the olive oil/garlic/chili spaghetti, it is so good!!! Light, not heavy and definitely not oily!!! ???? Also, have had the spaghetti and meatballs, it too is very good!!!

Terrible experience here but I did not miss out since I have always heard the food was less than mediocre. I felt as if the staff were discriminating against the fact that I did not have a reservation and I wasn't white. The hoster at the front had gotten me to wait for a long time since I didn't call in to reserve a table for myself. While waiting I had noticed many groups and families that appeared to be Italian from the warm welcome they got from the host, "BUNJONO". I asked a few of the group of people passing by before they got seated if they had a reservation before the host took them to their table and they said no. This went on for a while longer and even a few table of two's got seated without reservations. I just walked out. Don't support buisnesses that pick and choose who to give better service based on skin colour.

See. We wanted to go here for the live music. So I called and inquired. Host said they had live music on Fri\Sat\Sun. So we made a reservation for 7:30 PM. He didn't say anything about music starting at 8:30. That would be common sense, considering we are specifically making reservations for the live music. Anywho. It became apparent to us that they wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible for the Friday night crowd. Our waitress was so rushed, I often had to raise my voice and "excuse me" just to catch her attention before she ran away from the table. When I asked for a side of Ketchup, her question was "where are you from?". I don't think that's rude. I don't think that's racist. It's just a sign of her ignorance to immediately connect a food request to my ethnicity. You don't know me. Don't ask me where I'm from. Lastly, the food was SO mediocre. The biggest Meh I've ever seen on a plate. One star for the mafia-esque atmosphere they've got going on. That's it. Advice to owner: Your flat water tastes like the inside of your moldy fridge. Try some baking soda.

We went to Baci with another family for Valentine's Day dinner. The food was ok as expected for the price. When we received our bill, I couldn't believe that 30% tip was pre-charged. 30%!!! We had 4 adults and 2 kids (both at 3 years old). Are they allowed to tip for this size of group? I don't mind giving generous tip but why would they pre-charge? we weren't a big group and we didnt have a party and stayed less than 2 hrs. I was very disappointed how they charged us the tip. Also we asked pasta for kids as they only had a set menu on Valentine's day. The plate was about starter size and they charged $42 per plate. It was very pricey for the value (regular alfredo sauce). very disappointed.i would NOT recommend Baci. if it was excellent food and service, I would be happy to give 30% tip, but don't charge what you want without a good reason.

Entertained family from out of town last night. Baci was a ten out of ten! Staff were amazing, food was amazing! Atmosphere with the live music and dancing was like being at a Italian wedding.
