I’ve been coming here for years. It is honestly the best, most consistently amazing spots in Burlington. . I have never once been disappointed by the food UNTIL NOW. Before it seemed like they cared more about the food. Pizzas are sweet (not a fan). Goat cheese, sundries tomatoes and chicken shouldn't be sweet. The dough has no flavour for all dishes that are made with it but is soft. Hummus used to be good, now it's pretentious and looks like the chef came back from vacation and was inspired by the Great Barrier Reef! Very disappointed when they took bruschetta off the menu. Staff is friendly Although they are delicious, I do not want to spend 15$ on a tiny drink, and if I do then I will only have one. Tuesday’s are amazing, 1/2 price apps Don't know if I will come back until they try less to be extravagant and focus more and awesome menu items that look like food.

They will serve Martinis not even on the menu. Staff will make sure you have a great experience and ensure your needs are met. Patio gets the last sun of the day. Food portions are smaller but tasty. Id go back in a heartbeat. I had one of my most memorable nights at this great place. Perfect hang out.

Last Saturday, My husband and I had reservations with our Caucasian friends for 6.30 pm; We arrived before them and indicated that we had reservations under our friend's name. After their denial, interrogation and our persistence that we did indeed have confirmed reservations for the evening they reluctantly seated us. We would have left but only stayed because of our friends. When our friends arrived, they received an apology for the mistake however we never received an acknowledgment from the hostess nor Management. We are people of colour. Go figure....

City Hall is not kind to workers now by enforcing the mask law and now, not allowing face shields either. Very sad indeed. Your patio makes us feel "normal". Great wine. Great food.

Took our family for a birthday celebration on the Holiday Monday in February and had the best time! Thankfully we had a reservation because it filled up rather quickly. Bobbi was our server and she was excellent as were the other servers who attended to us. We didn't wait long for anything. Food and drink was all amazing! Would highly recommend

I have tried various options on the menu and indulged in their specials and I'm always blown away by the presentation, the beautiful flavours and the service. Found this gem for date night. Great ambiance & it’s open till late. Menu is pretty good, top marks for presentation. White mushroom pizza & seafood lasagne were delicious, giving 4 stars only because the dish our server recommended lake erie pickerel wasn’t good...very bland, almost tasteless. Chocolate dessert is one of the better ones we’ve had in GTA.

All things considered this is a nice little spot with fair prices on food. The drink menu is INSANELY priced but they are quite delicious and potent. The pizza was a little disappointing but the Thai noodles (name of the dish escapes me) was delicious. Great sized portions as well. Service was very thoughtful, a little slow, but they seemed understaffed. I would definitely go back.

Last Thursday we were at the MH for our friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. We can not say enough about our experience! It was one of the most memorable, fun and tasty evenings we have had in a very long time. Sonia was amazing and the food exceptional. The tapas melted in your mouth and the entrees....WOW! Our experience was so good that we went back Sunday night for our last dinner! TRULY AWESOME overall experience. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH SONIA! Oh and not to forget that our little ones LOVED the cotton candy surprise at the end of the meals! KUDOS

The bar tender tonight was a total loser. He interrupted us three times everytime I was speaking to my girl and showing her something on my phone. Then he took her order and served her a drink and totally ignored me then left the bar empty for an hour. Anytime he dealt with me he was really aggressive and rude. A go to for martinis, cocktails or a nice wine selection. Food is above average with an amazing patio for the summer and a homey pub style decor on the inside. I wrote this 2 years back.. all this is meaningless if they can't follow covid protocols and choose to protect people. Take heed owner.. you're being boycotted slowly by your regulars for not wearing masks outside. Its not hard to do.

To be clear from the start... the 2 star rating was for the food which was good. Why not higher you may be asking? Well, I ordered an entree called the Dragon Bowl. For $24 you had the option of having beef, chicken or extra veggies included with the dish. After asking our server, I was informed that the beef was sirloin tips cut from steaks. Since that appealed to me, I ordered the beef. What transpired next is why the ratings begin to fall fast. Our waiter returned few minutes after taking our order and told me that I could not have the beef option. The reason? There's a VIP group that is arriving soon and the chef needed to hold the steaks for them just in case they ordered the steaks! The chef was unwilling to cut off the tips to add to my bowl! After a brief, but stunned moment, I asked what he could substitute the beef with and he told me chicken or shrimp. I decided to take the shrimp. Later, the bowl arrived with a generous and tasty portion of shrimp included. When the bill arrived, I noticed that I was charged an ADDITIONAL $12 FOR THE SHRIMP! Not wanting to get too upset, I asked the waiter why I was charged for a substitute option in the dish. He said that I ordered "extra" shrimp...which I did NOT. He did agree to remove the extra charge. I left the restaurant some time later and thought... So, I order a dish that they have the ingredients for but CHOSE NOT TO GIVE TO ME due to the fact I wasn't a "VIP" and then proceeded to try and make me pay for a substitute item! That was the WORST impression from a restaurant I've had in years! Seems like they consider the importance of their customers over all else. Rather than speak to the manager, I decided to write this review to make you the reader aware of what had transpired and let you decide if you want to visit this restaurant. I personally will NOT be returning. It's unfortunate too, since my wife has gone there several times for drinks and loved it but after last night, she was less than impressed. If you choose to go, show them your VIP card! Maybe you'll get better service!

My wife and I are from California and in Burlington for a wedding. We came here for drinks after dinner. Our waitress was very helpful with our drink selection and the restaurant itself was very warm and inviting. This was in December and we are from California so it felt like the Shackleton expedition to get there, though decidedly less tragic. I tried the maple old-fashioned. It had a great maple syrup flavor which worked decently with the strip of bacon included with the drink. A great novelty drink, especially if you’re from out of town. I also had a hot toddy, which was strong, but not too hot to prohibit drinking. My wife had a berry margarita, our first foray into Canadian Mexican food. She enjoyed the sweetness of the drink and the lovely berries included in the drink. She also tried a cranberry martini which she enjoyed. Overall, a lovely place for a nightcap. Very friendly and welcoming, unlike the frigid outdoors.

Over-priced subpar food. Our order included a tomato salad. We accepted the $14 menu listed price but were absolutely shocked by the arrival of the tiniest serving one has ever seen! It was embarrassing that this restaurant would call this a salad. It was a mockery. Just another over-hyped restaurant that now believes customers owe it to them to overpay to cover for recent ‘tough’ times. Don’t be fooled here- there are better nearby options.

My boyfriend and I have been going here at least for about a year now pretty frequently. They are amazing. First of the service is always stellar. We used to always get Jen (I believe that was her name) then we've had 3 other servers (1 male and 2 blondes, I am so sorry I did not catch your names) and every single one has been so great. Super friendly and attentive but never over the top and hovery. Then recently we've been getting Carl who is amazing. Great personality and bartender. The drinks are always great no matter what I try but my favorite is always the Tbar. The four cheese pizza is bomb. Then fhe oysters. We had tried a new place today and it just made me appreciate and love the martini house even more. We always come in for drinks and oysters but after the new place today we had to come back and end the night at the martini house and I got to say, it saved the night. The martini house has literally never been a disappointment and I have loved every moment there. We went for our anniversary and came back the next day. Drinks, food and staff are all great.

I visited Martini house for 'Taste of Burlington' which I did not expect too much as I usually don't enjoy Winterlicious or Summerlicious either. I had such an wonderful experience and food was absolutely amazing. The course was quite well balanced and ingredients were fresh. Service was especially outstanding. We went here for an anniversary dinner a couple of weeks ago - the food and service were great but not a single staff member (there were about 6 on and off the patio) was wearing a mask. I don’t often go out as I’m 5 months pregnant but thought we’d be safe on a distanced patio so long as staff were masked. I was very uncomfortable the entire time as staff mingled and chatted with all the tables, and had food come out without them wearing masks. I should have said something immediately but I was a little shocked and confused and am not very confrontation by nature. I also didn’t want to ruin the mood of our anniversary dinner. I didn’t want to immediately leave a bad review so I tried reaching out to the restaurant directly through email about a week ago but no one ever got back to me. If i wasn’t worried about COVID, I’d give this place a better rating but the fact that not a single staff member wore a mask makes this a place I unfortunately won’t visit again.

I recently visited this restaurant and was happy with my experience. We ordered their oysters, pasta and pizza. Everything tasted delicious. We didn't go for their martinis and instead got their gin with aloe water and lemon. The drinks were good too but would try something different next time. The place can get really busy during weekend dinner hours even with covid. We had reservations and even though we were getting late, the staff was very accommodating.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on Aug 11, 2018. The place was packed which was indicative of a good place to stop by and have a dinner. We were sitted in 5 minutes, which was surprisingly fast. The menu has quite a few mouthwatering tapas combinations. We ordered drinks and fried calamari, sesame tuna and mushroom gnudi.it was served nicely. However, the reasons I rated restaurant at 3 are the following: 1. Drinks were served in dirty glasses ( see my photo attached). 2. We were not offered any water (everybody around had water on the table) 3. When I got the bill I found out it had calamari included in it twice. Which could have been a typo, but... when I mentioned to the waitress that we ordered and served only one calamari, she didn't even say sorry. This is where it completely disappointed me. Instead, she said something like :" the other table ordered calamari and I put it on your bill." It sounded as if it's an okay thing to do. Had it not been for the three negative experiences mentioned above, I would have ranked the place at 4.

Had some birthday drinks and dessert here tonight and it was amazing! The cheesecake was to die for and the martinis are really good with lots of variety. Colleen was an excellent server, even brought us a plate of cotton candy which such a nice treat at the end.

Very quaint... small inside, but somehow still felt private. Lovely staff. Parsnip soup and tuna tartare was delicious. Lovely hint of mint in the lamb, but the couscous was s bit void of flavour except for the occasional raisin, a shake of cinnamon or allspice would have been perfect. The raspberry compote had a little bit of lavender I'm sure, but surprisingly the flourless chocolate cake was too sweet. All in all though we will go back to sample other dishes.

After our favourite restaurant closed because of the weather last night we were left scrambling for our 20th wedding anniversary. Lucky for us, we came upon Georgia who made room for us at the Martini House. We were greeted with such warmth and kindness from all the staff including a few extra specials from the chef and the bar staff. They offer an extensive wine selection by the glass or by the bottle. The elegantly prepared dishes balanced layered flavours with the comfort of good eats. Portion sizes were unexpectedly generous for a fine dining restaurant. Highlights of our meal included the salt spring mussels, tuna takaki (with black aioli sauce), striped bass, and by our incredible server Sarah's recommendation, the dragon bowl. Although we didn't order a martini, this place offers so much more! Thank you Martini House, Sarah and Georgia for making our 20th so incredibly amazing. The food stands on its own here, but the staff stand out!

The first and last time I will go to this place. I am 24 years old and was treated as if I was a child. I have Celiac decease and asked for a gluten free menu which took more than enough time for them to bring out. I asked for a water and it took 45 minutes for them to bring it after asking multiple times. The food came out over an hour later.. the muscles were cold.. the Bruchetta my gf ordered was thrown on the plate not even on the bread, looking like they threw it on. The gluten free pizza was NOT cooked. When we asked for the Manager, the lady that did come speak to us, was the one that walked to EVERY table except ours while people were eating.. she told us “ we hadn’t even been there for 45 minutes which was not true as we had been there for over an hour, then she said “wow it’s been that long” and said “being slow is just a typical Tuesday” and told my gf she was the one arguing with her. THAN they made us pay for our food that was not cooked and we didn’t even eat, and tried to make it up with a free app when we said we would never go there again. Don’t go here.

We called at the last minute and they were able to seat us comfortably on the second floor. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, offering helpful advice. Our appetizers and entree were excellent. It was our first time here and we will definitely return. Excellent value for the money, ambiance, service and food quality. Our only detraction would be the lack of bread once you are seated, it is something you normally expect especially at higher tiered restaurants. Thanks for a great night out!

Went there on Saturday night and was extremely disappointment with the food and service. Extremely hot upstairs , food was bland and very over priced. Asked for Parmesan cheese for my tasteless chicken carbonara and never received it until I was done and the when it did come I was charged for it. Do not waste your money on this place and go to Downtown Bistro and Grill next door, friendly service great food and reasonably priced.

Very nice spot in the Burlington core. It’s almost feels like home as most customers there seem like their regulars. The service was good. I got excited because they said our bill will come with a cotton candy - bill came - no cotton candy while the other tables got them. :( I ordered wings since I love wings so much - they only have one kind. It was smoked wings - not a big fan of it and a bit over priced - same thing with $18 glass of wine.

Food was pretty decent charred ceaser salad was great though parmesan crisp were not crispy and a bit rubbery to chew, had Soppressata honey pizza toppings were excellent outer rim of crust was nice and crispy but unfortunately the crust underneath was a bit chewy. service was ok friendly and happy to answer questions about the food, but when asking about the pizza size a comparison to a delissio was made. Which doesn't exactly invoke the appetite. (Just tell me how many inches) Neither did the stained or rip menus we were handed. We sat with our dirty plates pushed to the side for about 15 mins until finally cleared by another server, however it gave us enough time to notice the plastic menus not being wiped down after each guest (which is weird during covid) , and a hostess feeding a dog treats (it licking her hand) which is cute until you don't wash or sanitize your hands and go back to work. Overall it was decent but definitely better out there and over concerns of their sanitation protocols means I would not return.

I had a big first date in Burlington last week and a friend suggested Martini House. What a perfect spot! The weather was calling for rain but their patio is covered in such a nice canopy we knew no matter what we’d be good. First off we had the best server!!! Carly was amazing!!! Before my date arrived, I told her it was a first date! She was so sweet and took great care of us!!! The drinks were so good, oysters, ahi tuna and short ribs were the best! After dinner we walked down to the lake as it’s so close. It was the perfect night and the best first date ever!!! I hope I am back in Burlington soon so I can visit Martini House again!! P.S. We have already had a 2nd date ????

I treated a good friend to a celebration dinner on her business launch and recent success in Sept 2016. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. The service was excellent from when we arrived to when we left. We had an excellent server, hats off to Ashlee, the staff and the chefs as the whole meal and experience was awesome. It was a poor experience. The service was slow and the servers were not wearing appropriate PPE. I saw one waitress lower her mask down completely under her chin while taking the order of the table next to us, who were an elderly couple. The food was mediocre, definitely not worth the price. My 5 year old cousin makes better food and knows how to wear a mask properly.

Our group of 12 was truly impressed with dinner last night at The Martini House. Clearly, the success was the result of a total team effort to help plan and execute our visit. We had tight timelines with a show to attend. Our pre-ordered appetizers and entrees arrived freshly prepared like clockwork, a credit to the kitchen and the servers. Although the restaurant was packed, all our items showed care with preparation and presentation. Bottom line, everyone loved the food! Special thanks to owner Barry and to server Karla!!

After all the lock downs and upcoming concerns about Omicron we were really looking forward to a nice evening out. While the food was good, the service went from acceptable to atrocious, and the place was not even busy. It seemed like they didn’t want us there, BTW we were a well dressed mid 50’s couple. When the entrees were finished the first thing asked by the server was , “do you want a box?” Not would you like dessert, coffee, tea? - which we did at the time. After 10+ minute of nobody coming back to the table after dropping off the box - and yes it was still quiet (maybe 25% capacity) - nobody came to the table until I decided to stand up and start putting my coat on. Then the server came and asked, “do you want you bill?” Well actually we wanted dessert and coffee/tea but given the terrible service we opted to pay the bill and just head home. So if you want a nice evening out, unfortunately I can not recommend The Martini House…too bad as I was really hoping to find another nice place in Burlington.

Finally another hidden gem found. It’s not every day that find a restaurant so nice. Even they don’t know it. When I told our server that the food was fantastic she was surprised of my exaggerated reaction to every Tapa dish. First of all it’s very small and split into a bar and seated restaurant areas. Perfectly dimmed to set a relaxing mood. The variety of carefully prepared dishes is great and surprisingly they come fast. The food comes on rectangular flat plates and so well presented almost like art work in a picture frame. Bottom line the food is outstanding. One other thing I noticed that might not be relevant here but I have to say it, the customers were very attractive looking.

Really nice restaurant and bar about 30 min (without traffic) west of downtown Toronto... As the name implies, they have an epic selection of Martinis ???????????? But don't let name kid you... Their food is just as good! I sat in the enclosed outdoor patio setup which was nice but a little chilly in the evening... They did offer blankets which was a nice touch and the customer service was super!! It's a also a great 1st date place which is how I ended up there !! This is a very quaint restaurant in the heart of Burlington, great for socializing. We stopped in for lunch and sat on the patio, it was a beautiful sunny spring day. They offered a large selection of martinis but we opted for a pint of beer instead. While not a large menu selection, there are some unique dishes. Service was a bit slow but very attentive. Apparently reservations are required for dinner and evening sittings.

Great night for a friends 50th..29th bday. Amanda served us upstairs and everything was just perfect. Food served in a timely manner, drinks were ordered and served in a jif. This is the restaurant of choice for my wife and I when we want a night out. I won't go into much detail into this review, but so far everything i've had has been incredible. All I will say to all those who read this is, make sure you eat the baked brie appetizer, it is the most amazing appetizer my wife and I have ever eaten! Trust me!

Pros - amazing food and amazing cocktails Cons- no one was wearing a mask! Found a piece of glass in my friend’s soft drink! One shot of Jameson was for 14 bucks. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I absolutely love this place. I've been going there for years. Carl is always my waiter and he makes the experience extra special every time. He knows i like the special imported vodkas that are different every couple weeks. The martinis are properly made and are by far the best Ive had. I've had the flavoured ones but I like a straight up dirty vodka martini. The oysters are amazing and are straight from the East Coast. They come with good selection of house and non house sauces so I can slurp every one down with a different flavour. Along with my martini it's a heavenly match.

The service at Martini House was incredible. Our server was friendly and quick to ensure we had everything we needed at all times. The appetizer's we picked were delicious, beer was cold, and my wife enjoyed her martini choices. My entree was fantastic, I chose the filet. I'm only giving 4 out of 5 because my wife's seafood pasta lacked enough seafood for the price ($26). But I will admit we have been spoiled with pasta dishes at several Italian restaurants in Toronto. There were a lot of choices on the menu that I can't wait to go back and try.

Had lunch on Aug. 24th and had a wonderful meal and fabulous service from Amy! My wife and I had the fig and prosciutto pizza and the burger with mushroom and brie. Both were excellent - I highly recommend and look forward to our next visit!

I tried making a reservation here over the phone, when I asked about a Friday evening reservation for four people the girl on the phone just started laughing with out really answering, so I inquired about Saturday she just said “yeah good luck” and after getting nowhere I just thanked her and hung up. So I suppose we won’t be dining there! Too bad, as the place looked good, but their phone manners could use some improvement.

Our favourite Tuesday night outing is to pop into the Martini House for half-price appetizers ... and a martini or two, of course. Charming, laid back atmosphere, consistently impeccable service and outstanding variety and quality of food ... bar harbour mussels are especially scrumptious! In fact, after several visits and sampling most of appetizer menu, nothing is less than excellent. On our most recent outing, we were delighted to be served by Lauren - a most personable, caring and professional server. Highly recommended.

Went for drinks on a lovely Tuesday evening with a friend. We each had a delicious dirty double vodka with 3 olives - I may have had more than one, and a really lovely blue martini. They were awesome. The tent structure that has been added adds a lot of floor space to the restaurant and makes it feel very open and welcoming. There are plexi partitions between the tables and even at the bar! It felt very safe. The staff were wonderful and a great time was had by all.

I held our 2016 company kick off party for all my staff at the Martini House. From start to finish it was great. 14 people upstairs. The private area was nice to have. The service from the "how's it going" from the bartender to the warm inviting welcome of all the service staff was nice to see when walking in. The food was exceptional from all of my staff and even catering to some of their special needs. It may be a small place, but now I know why I was advised to book in early or forget about getting a seat on a Saturday night. I will be going back again for sure. Great spot with good food and excellent service. Had a Private party there for 18 and they have a room upstairs to accommodate this. Our server was Cassandra and she is a true professional! Parking available accross the road. Menu is a bit pricey but the good quality and presentation is very good! I had the lamb and it was awesome!

Felt kind of old and dated. It was an okay experience. Not bad by any means! Just felt like they need to redo the place. Food here was decent. Wine list was basic. I think some updated, more cool, wine selections could be warranted. Burlington overall seems kind of boring to me. No one is pushing the envelope for dazzling food.

The venue itself is on the smaller side. The drinks were delicious and all the food on the menu sounded amazing. We tried the Asian nachos, Fig prosciutto pizza, and jam burger. The asian nachos came in 4 little chip cups, not what we were expecting, and the taste was more of a curry. We didn't really like them. The pizza was good, a little sweet, but a good size and tasty. The burger was also good, but not great. For dessert we tried the peanut chocolate cheesecake and the chocolate lava cake. Both were divine and we highly recommend. The service was also amazing. I'd go back and try the pastas or some of the other mains.

What can I say! We keep coming back for the great food, AMAZING drinks and unbelievable staff. Carl could be the best manager of any restaurant in Burlington. Jody is a rock star... if you ever want to watch someone make 10 drinks at a time, that are all complicated and different he does it with such finesse. Ian is always there with a big welcome and makes you feel right at home. It's such an amazing establishment!
