My boyfriend brought me to The Carriage House for my birthday dinner this September 2020. It was exceptional from beginning to end...a very romanitic ambiance and beautifully decorated, complimented by caring Maitre D and wonderful wait staff. All of our meal choices were prepared and presented to perfection, and the prosecco and homemade cheesecake were delicious! To end the night as we were leaving..the Chef peeked from the front window, thanked us and wished us a good night...very kind! Thank you for a memorable evening.. The Carriage House is a new favourite of ours! P.S. Covid didn't phase us as the staff took great care with their PPE. Thank You! Definitely 4 paws and a wagging tail from 2 Kool Kats ????

I didn't get a chance to actually eat, as they were fully booked days ahead. But I can comment on the staff and the ambience. Upon arrival, the first thing you see is the open kitchen. In front is a glass display case showcasing some truly detectable meat and seafood, all of it plump and with the sheen of peak freshness. Not a hint of fishy odour, either. The staff - and there's a lot of them! - are unfailingly courteous and gracious. The decor is lovely - milk-painted walls, old oil paintings, and crisp white table cloths wth dark wood furniture and dark oak wine cabinet. I really look forward to a meal here!

This evening I had the pleasure of dinning at the Carriage house Restaurant with my wife and a lady friend. What an outstanding evening! My son and his wife had stronly recommended it to us. We found Excellent food and Superb service. The waiter was nothing short of great. The owner, herself, was very welcoming and added an elegant touch to the evening. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a special evening. We sampled a variety of menu choices and were most plead by all.

I'm totally obsessed with this restaurant and have eaten here for over 10 years religiously. It's my go-to! Here you will find the most incredible truffle mushroom soup, the best caesar salad I've ever eaten, and so many options of meat & seafood plus totally yummy desserts. I could literally rave about everything here. Impeccable service and quality food. Always a good time here :) And if you like a solid old fashioned, you have to try one here! Tasty af

I checked out the menu before going to the restaurant - it was rather pricey for my budget but we were meeting friends who had made the reservations. It was very busy for a Saturday evening - probably busier (and far noisier) than usual as a convention crowd from a nearby hotel was in attendance. The food was very good and the portions were adequate. The soup, a butternut squash concoction, was very tasty and creamy. The Gnocci with Braised Rabbit was fun and flavourful. I especially liked the pea shoot garnish - it was a playful taste contrast to the herby cream sauce. I had the Grand Marnier Creme Brule - Very rich and sweet. We had the house red wine which I found a little dry, but I'm not much of a wine drinker. The waiter was a little less than professional, however. Serving staff should be fairly invisible - this fellow was always fussing around and in front of us, removing plates and cutlery, changing the candles, passing plates across the table in front of my face - I felt like I had to duck every time he passed by. At one point I got winged with a plate to the head. I wasn't hurt, but like I said; he was less than professional. Over all it was a good meal and I enjoyed the cameraderie with my friends in a warm and comfortable atmosphere, but I do not think I would return.

My husband brought me here to celebrate my birthday! We started the night off by sharing the steamed mussels - absolutely delicious! For the mains, my husband ordered the rack of lamb and I ended up getting the salmon. Both meals were amazing, and the portion size was more than generous. We ended the dinner with an apple brandy crepe dessert, and course that did not disappoint either. Didn't know this place even existed, such a cute adorable and no issues with parking either!

This place is a hidden gem. (Seriously) The moment you walk in, it’s different then most restaurants. As you go upstairs… that’s when you realize… dam am I lucky to be here. Lol Food was great… the shrimp appetizer is a must get, very tasty. Their steak is also delicious…cooked perfectly. My friend had the lamb and they were very generous with their portions. I also had the espresso martini. Soo GOOD. Service was good too which is a bonus. We had two waiters take care of us that were cool and easy to chat with, not overally annoying or non attentive. The section that we had sat in was upstairs and perfect for a date night or even ladies night!!! Like I said Hidden Gem.

It took 10 minuets to seat us. Then it took 30 minutes to receive our drinks... when our food came about 50 minutes after ordering the condiments were missing and it tasted horrible. We didn't even eat half of the food. Other people who came in seated themselves because there was nobody around to do so and it wasn't even busy... this was a wednesday night. A group of girls came in and ended up walking out because nobody addressed them. I definitely will not be returning... ever!

My husband and I visited The Carriage House on New Year's Day and were so impressed. The food was fabulous (we had the sea bass and the venison wellington) and the service was top notch. Our waiter was committed to great service and made some great food recommendations. Such a great place. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were made to feel very looked after and special. Our server, Harry, was very attentive and was also a great conversationalist. He made sure our wine was always topped up and his wine recommendations were spot on. All of the food and the drinks were exceptional. The tenderloin with truffle butter was amazing, as was the calves liver. I’d highly recommend this place.

Oh buddy... where do I begin? Well, this place really should be renamed “CLASSIC BRAD’S” but let me explains why. My wife and I joined my cousin and her husband at the Carriage House for a nice Saturday date night without the kids. We were celebrating a belated birthday and were quite excited for dinner! The carriage house is a well-known classy joint, where you’ll spend a buck or two but will surely have a real dining experience. It was an experience all right. My cousin and her hubby arrived first and grabbed our table. My wife and I came shortly after that. As we sat, even before we could even say our full hellos, we were greeted by our server - BRAD. Ok, fine - a little excited there eh partner?... that’s ok - maybe just attentive service, I thought. Well, not so much... buddy boy was literally nipping at the heels to serve us. I mean, he visited the table at least three times in a matter of minutes before we even opened our menus. Real excited, this one. The word that comes to mind for BRAD would be - ALOOF. Socially awkward and had literally, the worst timing. Just wasn’t paying attention. At first I was perturbed, asking us for our drink orders without letting us even take a hard look ar the drink menu. Soon enough, I mentioned to the table this guy was rushing us - this is where the fun starts. BRAD took our orders very quickly - and yes, the apps were great and drinks were tasty. But this guy was all over us. And every time he brought our food, he placed it in front of the wrong person. We started saying it was CLASSIC BRAD as he constantly was making errors. It was so funny. The fact this server was sooo incompetent at such an esteemed restaurant was hilarious. My main was cold and was sent back, to the manager who came by to ask us how our meal was. After that, BRAD was nowhere to be found. We had to wait for refills, tables to be cleared, desert menus. You name it. We were there for a total of 3 hrs. First he was rushing and making errors, then he was nowhere to be found. CLASSIC BRAD. By the end of it we were in stitches. His face when we asked to split the bills between couples? Priceless. So rattled. Said we should’ve mentioned it earlier. That’s fine. Buddy arrives back 10 mins later with one bill. We had to whip out the calculator app and add up our separate bills on our own. He comes back and says he forgot. Sure bud. Oh man, great food overall and real cool layout. But the service was so awful for such a nice restaurant we weren’t even mad just laughing at the situation. Honestly, who knows what Brad was going thru. Maybe just having a rough night. But in the end, we will never forget CLASSIC BRAD. Shine on you crazy diamond.

My absolute favourite restaurant ! It can rival restaurants in New York , Paris and Dubai . There is nothing they do not execute well . We often dine on the foi gras, calf's liver and I love the lobster avocado salad . I'm almost hesitant to write this because I want to keep this gem to myself ! You won't be disappointed . The wine and bubbles menu are extensive , service is warm and friendly and the chefs - extremely talented . Do pay this establishment a visit .

We were thrilled to hear The Carriage House was open for take-out during this April 2020 lock-down. Our kids—who have never been invited to join us for an in-house experience—had a real treat tonight. Delicious, from the salad and shrimp, to the salmon and steak. Our 13-year-old son claims it was the best burger he's ever had (which is saying a lot). Thank you for adapting to these strange times...we'll be back before this lock-down is over!

The Carriage House was an absolute pleasure to dine in. Impressive dinner menu and wine list. Extraordinary staff who made the entire dining experience even that more special. Beautiful and romantic atmosphere, perfect for any special occasion. The food was phenomenal. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavors were paired wonderfully. There's not one negative point I can give. We had the pan seared scallops and foie gras for appetizers and for mains 10 oz New York Strip with fries and peppercorn sauce and Pistachios crusted lamb. And for dessert the creme brulee. Everything was spectacular!

I visited The Carriage House Restaurant 1 month ago with friends and we really enjoyed our meal. So when my daughter and her husband's 10th anniversary came up June 25th I suggested they try the restaurant. They decided to go and made a reservation. When they arrived they were given the worse table in the entire restaurant next to the kitchen. I assume that because they look young the waiter assumed they could not afford to eat there. Maybe this is why, not sure but my son in law spoke up and requested a table in the dining room and they were moved. It really infuriates me that people make assumptions about people according to how they look. Oh and by the way the bill was over 200.00 with drinks and appetizers. Too bad, I'm sure they will never go there again.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Carriage House about a month ago with my fiance. The inside decor was very tasteful and the ambiance was great. My fiance had escargot to start and I had a carrot, ginger tomato soup. Both these dishes were amazing! The escargot was cooked to perfection and the sauce it was cooked in was out of this world. My soup was delicious as well, lots of underlying rich flavors. For the entree he had the Sesame Seed Crusted Ahi Tuna and I chose the Irish Organic Salmon. Both our entrees were cooked perfectly, with limited extra glazes and spices. The cuisine at this restaurant is such that it aims to bring out the flavor of the ingredients by cooking it just right and using spices sparingly to achieve a very clean taste. The service was great too and the wine we chose was delicious. The reason I chose to write a review was because I was astounded by how many bad reviews there have been. We loved our experience and we'll be going back for sure to enjoy more of the Ahi tuna, as it's quite possibly the best dish I have ever had in my life.

The Carriage House has always been a favourite of our family. Recently our family gathered there after our sister's celebration of life. The owner and staff went above and beyond to give us a quiet spot to be together. As always, the food was excellent and enjoyed immensely by all. It was the first time my Husband and I had been there and we couldn't say enough good things about the experience. They also provided an alternative option for me (as I am vegetarian) and made me a delicious vegetarian curry ! If you are looking for a place to go and have a fancy night out this is the place !
