We sat on the outside patio on a nice day (we had no reservation and inside was all reserved). Patio was nice but perhaps could use a little more creative cover to help create more of an "oasis" since it's close to a roadway and parking lot. Maybe some more screened walls or something like that. But amazing tasting, fresh and interesting food offerings, reasonable prices, great beer and the staff that knew their stuff, were very attentive and not bad to look at. We're really impressed with this trendy restaurant and will return, next time with a reservation in hand!

I will say the hostess was very nice and the employees very friendly. The food took a while to come out as some of the ravioli was hot and some warm. Like the amount of money you pay for mediocre food is disgusting. How can this place even stay open serving what they serve? Like who is actually eating this food and liking/loving it???? People, please reevaluate your bland tastebuds and experience real taste. The food over all wasn’t terrible but for what you are charged, come on. There is no way that ravioli doesn’t come packaged, maybe Costco has a gourmet line of products. If they were hand made, then lobster hands is back there making those raviolis, because there was absolutely no precision or delicacy whatsoever. The people very nice, the food was OK, but not for what you pay. The biggest issue I had was ravioli was inconsistent and fries were luke warm.

This is one of the best/only spots in Burlington for a more casual dining experience with elevated food. Menu overall is solid with good enough variety to come back frequently and the cocktails are also well done for the area. Would recommend it for a night out with a partner, friends, or a business meal. Wouldn't recommend it for kids or a family.

This place really hit the ground running. Just opened and it's very hard to get a seat here on weekends without a reservation. Not bad for a little suburban strip mall resto. If you're dropping in here for a casual bite, the menu prices might strike you as a bit eye popping. The lowest price main is $19 (pasta in a wild boar meat sauce). This is a date restaurant, for sure. Service is excellent and you get a bread basket with delicious bread. We came in with the little one and the server quickly surmised the menu wasn't really child friendly. The sever quickly offered to do chicken fingers and fries off menu. The wild boar pasta was delicious and the portion was generous. Well worth $19. Definitely coming back again to try some of the more up menu items.

Great experience dining in the bubbles! Food was delicious. The mushroom toast appetizer or the Camembert “fondue” are highly recommended! The risotto and the burger are delicious, as well. Added bonus of a toasty-warm, sanitized private bubble on the patio made it extra special.

Only suggestion is if you're looking to have an intimate/romantic/quieter meal, try not to be seated directly beside the door to the patio. It is distracting and with people/staff constantly walking in & out (right beside the table) it was a bit off-putting. But still an enjoyable time overall.

Went here for New Years with the girlfriend a few years back. Amazing service and the variety and quality food was amazing. The decor is very rustic and has a lot of character. The open style kitchen really sets the tone. The place always smells amazing.

Every aspect of the meal, from cocktails, appetizers, mains, and dessert was of the highest quality, and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. On a Sunday night at 5 we had the place to ourselves, so that may be a good time to go for a quiet dinner. Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommended. Try their fries, you'll have your mind blown.

We came here for a family dinner and the food was excellent! The burger I ordered is amazing and so was the board we shared (picture is for 4). We had our baby with us and I’m not sure if this is the most baby friendly restaurant, but he didn’t fuss and the service was super friendly. He didn’t mind bringing us extra napkins when our little grabber yonked all our napkins and threw them on the floor. Definitely would return again, for drinks, sans baby :)

We visited Rush Bistro Bar last evening and enjoyed good service and a nice meal. One of the four of us is a wee bit of a picky eater and was disappointed in recent menu changes. No Caesar salad? What kind of a restaurant does not offer this very basic item? Their new interpretation of a Caesar salad is simply NOT a Caesar salad. Also, they removed another basic item from the menu, which was cause for disappointment. No chicken on the menu? Instead Cornish Hen replaced chicken. In spite of these management decisions that resulted in diminished enthusiasm for our meal and returning to Rust, we actually had a very pleasant meal. Two of us enjoyed the scallops which were served differently than previously and we thought this version of risotto was better than the previous version. Our server was pleasant, albeit a little slow filling drink orders. And meals for all diners at a table should come at the same time, and absolutely no plates should be removed and cleared before all diners are done eating. With a few minor tweaks, this place could be dynamite, and become a local favorite.

Hands down the BEST all around experience I have had at a restaurant like this. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, hot, very tasty and great quality. The service was absolutely fantastic, we sat at the bar and our waitress was very attentive and polite! The mixed drinks are super fresh and delicious, and the coffee is like no other ! Not to mention the price point is very very fair. We will definitely be back!!

I called Rust to order a brunch for take out today. I ordered two meals, and they called me back to let me know that they are out of the Avocado Toast so I ordered something else. Then they called me back again telling me that they are also out of the smoked salmon so I said fine, just get two poached eggs with salad and potatoes. The order was picked up and when we got home, the meal had ham/pork on it which I cannot eat for religious reasons and obviously couldn’t remove it to eat the remaining because it was touching everything. The service was horrible and if you are not equipped to do take out orders, you shouldn’t. If you can’t accommodate a brunch meal that was ordered at 10:30am then don’t waste customers time. It’s very frustrating and disappointing. Will not recommend this place based on the horrible experience we had.

Rust BistroBar is truly in a class all of its own. It is absolutely fabulous. It has become our go-to for celebrating special life events or just wanting a delicious meal. The service is wonderful and the food is exceptional (the menu changes with the seasons but we’ve tried a fair share of the staple items as well as seasonal ones and are blown away every time). Best restaurant in town!

My favourite restaurant when I'm hungry for a burger. They also have amazing steak. There menu items however do change alot. One item I know will stay for a long time is there cheese cake (which is the best cheese cake I've ever had)

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! Went there this evening for the first time, and WOW, did they ever IMPRESS and DELIVER. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed by the hostesses, our server JOE was GREAT. He made suggestions to us from the menu...they were FANTASTIC!!! The crab cakes were DELICIOUS, the lamb and the burger were the BEST we have EVER had. Then...the dessert...AMAZING cheese cake and lemon tart. Paula the manager was so very friendly and very please that we told her of our experience. This place is a GEM!!!! ALL of the staff were PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, and WELCOMING. JOE, you were right...that burger has ruined it for any other burger!!!!. THANK YOU for a WONDERFUL night...ABSOLUTELY the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The atmosphere left a little to be desired - we were seated at a table right near the entrance - very awkward placement. Should definitely re-think that table and the one right near the bar. Being stranded in the middle of a space is unnerving.

Small, personalized, and variety in drinks. I recommend Bison and Boar burger!!!! As a group of 15, we were out for Employee Appreciation and we were all please with our meals and drink. I believe this restaurant deserves a 5 star, every plate had no left overs. Every cup had no drinks. So worth the visit

Best Brussel Sprouts EVER! Went there for an early Sunday dinner last month with the husband and I ordered two appetizers for my dinner: crab cakes and brussel sprouts. Crab cakes were good, just not my style. But the brussel sprouts in kung pao sauce, pork belly and cashews was to die for...absolutely delicious. Service very friendly and I liked the open kitchen as the crew seemed very comfortable turning out the food. Would absolutely go in again if in the area.

We made a reservation at the Rust Bistro Bar for 4 guests after reading all the great reviews. We arrived early on the day of our reservation (June 27, 2019 @ 7 PM) possibly the worst service I have encountered, we ordered appetizers and drinks. Drinks came out fairly quickly, but our food never arrived, one of our appetizers was truffles fries, does it really take 1 hour + to get fries?? They were also out of Beet Wellington, if it's such a popular item why not have more available especially when you're running out of them early in service. People who arrived well after us got their food, and we were still waiting. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we all decided to leave. The waitress who served our table was clueless, I'm positive she did not put our ticket through. They took care of our drinks and took my phone number so the manager can speak with me. It has been exactly 1 month, and I still have not heard from anyone.

I made a reservation which stated that when I arrived I could choose indoor or outdoor dining. Upon my arrival at my reservation time I was told that it may rain and that I HAD to sit outside. The hostess stated that if it rained they would "do their best" to put my food in a take out container so I could "eat it in my car" ..... I asked if I could have a table inside (as per my reservation email stated -see photo) and was told all indoor tables were booked and this was not possible. I made this reservation a week in advance and was extremely disappointed with the poor service.

Sat at the Chefs counter for Valentine's day and Rust far surpassed my expectations. Kitchen operates in a beautiful harmony you would you expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. Had the Bao buns, pappardelle, risotto, and crabcakes, all phenomenal. Do not leave without trying the cheesecake. It's the head chefs grandmas recipe and is nothing short of delightful. Our new favorite in the area, we will absolutely be back. Thanks Rust!

Had a lovely dinner tonight at Rust. It was glorious! Nicole was our server, and she was an absolute gem. She was very attentive, and always keeping an eye on us to see if we needed anything. Yeleni (I may have butchered her name. Lol) took my reservation over the phone for a very special occasion, and our conversation was the highlight of my day. She understood the importance of the evening, and was so very accommodating. The restaurant industry could do with more people like her. I cant say enough about how awesome the staff is. On to the food (I've included some pics). The food was sooooo good. My date and I both had the burger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. So tasty...it was perfect. We had crab cakes as a starter as well, and those were delicious. For dessert, we indulged in the vanilla bean cheesecake, and were not disappointed. Soft, smooth, and full of flavour. To anyone wondering...go there! Try it! You will not be disappointed. This I promise. Thank you to everyone at Rust...you made my evening one to remember. ????

For the Risotto alone five stars. Service is amazing. Have handled the Corona issues with class. If you don't try Rust you are doing yourself a disfavor. Try the Risotto, Burger, Lamb and they do have a kids menu for the family. Highly recommend.

This is a great hidden gem! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the restaurant is CLEAN. I went there with a large party of 8 people. They were happy to accommodate us and sat us against the side wall. One of my favorite aspects of the ambience was that you could look into the kitchen. I enjoy any restaurant that doesn’t hide behind the walls. I like knowing exactly what goes into my food, and who has been handling it. The wait staff was attentive and kind – and the cocktails/ beer were exceptional. Going with such a large party meant that we got a lot of food and tasted almost everything! For the appetizers we got the Korean cauliflower, the calamari, the burrata, crab cakes, and Kung Pao brussel sprouts. All of the food was fresh and delicious! I have never been a fan of the brussel sprouts – but these were outstanding! If the chef can get me to eat brussel sprouts (and go back for seconds) then she is truly talented! For the main entre, I got the pappardelle, which were freshly made in house. Using wild boar instead of a “typical” beef or pork elevated the dish to the next level. I was also able to taste the risotto, ravioli, and Moroccan lamb. All the food was cooked to order and tasted phenomenal. All the seasonings were on point and it felt as though the meal was truly cooked with love and a passion for creating an incredible experience for the customers. After all that food, we decided to split the chocolate cake for dessert. It was wonderfully decadent, and I probably should have just gotten one of my own so that I didn’t have to share. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and well worth going back to again! I also suggest it for anyone who is going out to Niagara Falls – it’s only about a 45 minute drive and it is very much worth your time.

Heard a lot about this restaurant in Burlington, every weekend it’s generally booked up, so we made a reservation. I think our expectations were a bit too high, it’s good but didn’t blow us away. Had the crab cakes to start, they were ok, I had the filet mignon wrapped in bacon, it was good but no better than most steak houses, my wife had a portabelo Wellington, it was interesting, in a good way. For desert, had the house made blueberry apple crumble, it was good but not really a crumble more of a cake. Had dinner on the patio, for tables they use metal mesh tables, my recommendation to the owners is to add rubber place mats, as our plates were sliding around as tried to cut into our food, very annoying! On a plus, our server was excellent, very attentive, friendly and never rushed us!

First time at Rust and was pleasantly surprised. Very good food! We had the Tuesday special - Burger, choice of side and beer for 20$. also had red curry mussels as an appetizer, and a fish dish. the fish was just okay for the price, but the burger special was excellent both for taste and value. The Kung Pao brussel sprouts (my side dish with the burger) was phenomenal, generous portion, albeit a tad bit salty. i almost wanted to order a cup of rice if they had it, the side dish was a meal in itself. Mussels were very good, i wish we had some bread to sop up the sauce in. Drinks are expensive. Food presentation is excellent. Decor is a clean modern industrial. we did kind of feel cramped in our small table for two... but i don't see it being a problem with the bigger tables. I'd take off a half star for price (it was a tad pricey for a strip mall restaurant), the noise, limited menu, and the lack of parking. I'd come back to try other items if there were specials.

I don't know why they initially said that they were fully booked.... Or perhaps they just didn't want to feed a family of four. The hostess at the front with the long braided hair seem to be doing whatever she could to make us turn around. That's the impression that we got anyways. On with the review. I ordered the bison and boar Burger and it was outstanding and would definitely recommend. It was huge I could hardly finish it and I'm over 200 lb LOL My wife ordered the risotto dish and it was also amazing done perfectly which is hard to do but the kitchen nailed it. Sister ordered the ravioli and the side of Caesar salad. That was also very good. Have a very good selection of wine.. If you're interested in trying the Tomahawk steak that's also very good but it's a little bit pricey at $180. ( Serves two ) After sitting here for about an hour and a half those same four tables are still empty I don't know who's sitting in them but anyways. I did say they were fully booked for the rest of the night. ????

My daughter and her boyfriend took me out for my birthday dinner and we had a wonderful time. I had an excellent Caesar salad and the others shared burrata. My bison and boar burger, which was delicious, and my daughter had risotto. Her boyfriend had the rabbit. Everything was very good and the server, Jessica, was attentive and friendly. What a great place for dinner!

We went here for our first year anniversary and although we had it on the OpenTable app, they didn't really acknowledge it until the very end. Typically restaurants tend to do some form of celebtration (free dessert, drink - at least in our experience) that was not done here. The food itself was quite delicious, I had the steak frites and my wife had the Gnocchi & Lamb. Both dishes were well cooked and flavourful with the gnochhi & the frites being the highlights. The steak was decent, was expecting a little better quality meat but good nonetheless. With all that being said, we would return back to Rust as it's this quaint, 'rustic' little restaurant.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. One thing that bothered me was we made a reservation but were seated right by the entrance. Like literally right beside the front door. We got a much better table after a few minutes. I noticed that no one was seated there the rest of the night. Even when we left the table remained empty. Great cocktails and the food was delicious. We were seated close to the kitchen and kept seeing the burger being ordered over and over. Was debating between the parpadelle or the burger. Was not disappointed. Double patty, so juicy and the brioche bun was soft. Also got the steak frites. The steak was huge and cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and delicious, drizzled with truffle oil and Parmesan shavings. I love crab cakes, they weren't the greatest. Underwhelming. Our server was very attentive but came to the table a little too much. We were trying to enjoy our cocktails and weren't really in a rush to order food. Food and drinks 5 stars. The table situation and service 4 stars.

We walked in on a whim. There wasn't a table, but the host offered us drinks at the bar while we waited for a table. We had cocktails made (blackberry mule and a margaritas with egg white topping).Great start. After 15 minutes we sat at our table which was close to the patio. The server noticed another table opened up and moved us so we didn't get the cold air whenever the patio door opened; nice customer service. Drinks were refreshed in a snap also. We ordered the burger and the crab cake benny. The burger was huge with bison/boar patties, bacon, caramelized onions, brie and arugula. Crazy good and I struggled to finish it. I got a salad on the side and it was fresh and beautifully presented. The crab cake benny was very good. Eggs were perfect and the crab cakes were tasty and soft and pillowey. All the servers were friendly and covid protocols were in place. Fantastic. A gem of a place.

Rust was recommended to me by several people so I visited for the first time about two weeks ago. I don't know what took me so long to try it because I think it may have been the best meal I have ever had at a restaurant. We shared the Korean cauliflower as an appetizer and I tried a new fall cocktail with fresh apples. I had the ravioli as my main and my aunt had the risotto. We were eating a few forkfuls at a time then taking a break to exchange looks because the food was so unbelievably good! The service we had was fantastic - she took the time to explain the dishes to us and shared which items were local, etc. If you've been thinking of trying Rust, don't wait any longer. They do get quite busy so a reservation is a good idea but it's well worth the wait.

Hands down my favourite place to eat in Burlington. I love it so much that my friend and I visit here almost once a week. It's not the usual pub/bar and chain restaurants that you see all around Burlington, which I love. It has such a warm, homey atmosphere. A nice location with a great vibe. We decided to go appetizers and sides. Started with the brussell sprouts and they were fantastic. A little spice and sweet with great morsels of pork belly. We had the burrata with basil, prosciuto, figs and tomatoes. While it looks great, it was very difficult to eat to get each component. Not great. Crab cakes, mussels and cauliflower were just ok. Overall, the brussel sprouts stole the show. Our server was great and very attentive. Love the spit roaster chicken over coals in the background. Also love that we can see the cooks actually cooking. A nice spot, but the food could have been a bit better.

Rust BistroBar is hands down our favourite restaurant in Burlington. Ironically enough, we were turned on to it by friends who don't live in the City! It's been over two years of incredible dining experiences and even throughout a pandemic, they never disappoint. We had an early dinner on the patio this past Saturday with some friends who were visiting from Ottawa. We ordered the Frito Miso, Burrata, Crab Cakes and Cesar Salad Appetizers. All were incredible. For our mains, three out of four of us ordered the Risotto (great dish, but I do prefer it with the scallops opposed to the shrimp) and one of us ordered the gnocchi and loved it as well. One of my favourite features of Rust's Menu is that it's constantly changing. We've worked our way through pretty much all the dishes and there is always a new variation or dish to try each visit. It makes dining out fun. They make a mean cocktail and the service is unmatched. Don't forget to order the cheesecake (even if you're not generally a cheesecake fan, I promise this will change your mind)! Five stars!

We ate here for the first time this past weekend after we noticed the restaurant while driving by. Actually, we have driven past the restaurant a couple times a week since it opened but never noticed it before. Always eager to try a new restaurant, we checked out the menu online and read the reviews and thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant is small but a nice atmosphere. We sat at a table for two but it wasn't very intimate because the table beside us was so close we could hear their conversation perfectly as I'm sure they could hear ours. So that wasn't ideal for date night. Our server brought our menus but then took 10 minutes before checking on us for drinks, which we found too long. We started with the burrata and crab cakes. The crab cakes were the best we've ever had. The burrata dish was outstanding. The only criticism of the burrata was that the dish included grapes on the menu but there were only 3 half pieces of grapes (1.5 grapes total) so we would have liked to have seen more grapes. For our main, I was a little disappointment because I had my heart set on something I saw on their website. Their website includes a sample menu and listed scallop, asparagus, pea, spinach risotto and includes pictures. But that dish wasn't available. They did serve a scallop and beet dish but I can't have beets. I completely understand why they don't serve the other dish because the server explained it is seasonal, but I wish they would update their website, because I was excited about it. I ended up having the chicken dish. The chicken was well seasoned and filled with fontina, spinach, and prosciutto. The chicken, however, was slightly dry. So I kept dipping it in the mashed potatoes to moisten it. The mashed potatoes were really good, though as was the gravy and green beans. The squash was totally under cooked and hard in our opinion, so we left it. We also ordered the ravioli, which was a perfect dish. The sauce was incredible. We will definitely go back again and will recommend this restaurant. The only thing keeping me from giving in a perfect 5 stars is the lack of privacy/intimacy of the seating, the server not being more attentive, the dry chicken, under cooked squash, and not having an up-to-date menu available online. Other than that, it was great!

We are picky when it comes to our dinning experience and we are not afraid to drop $500+ on a meal. Rust Bistro Bar has not only surpassed my expectations but has altered them, you don't need to spend lots of money to get great food and service in a super cool atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere Rust Bistro Bar has a very cool lay out, you can literally watch the kitchen make your meal as well as communicate with them. This is my new spot in which i will bring all my family, friends and clients I hope to meet the owner and manager, to shake their hand and tell them what a great job they have done. A really cozy well appointed neighbourhood restaurant that surprised us when we went for brunch. Staff was very pleasant and our brunch was wonderful which was well priced. They do have a patio with mist sprays and you don't really hear the traffic. An excellent summer night spot off Walker's line and upper middle road. Parking can be limited and it is reachable by the No. 25 bus. Wheelchair accessible too.

Amazing service food and atmosphere. Kiko in the kitchen fired up the wood burning grille after a visit to the bar when my other of a Chicago style NY Strip (take out) was sent through. My boyfriend and I decided to try for dinner one evening. Upon arrival, we were asked by a tall gentleman, seemed to be the owner, if we had a reservation. (It was a Thursday evening and the place was less than half full.) We said no, and he started looking around with this "worried" expression on his face..then said the seating hostess would look after us. So we sat at a 4 person table, as I noticed there were no 2 seaters at all...so I suppose the parties of 2 are expected to have their dinners at the bar. We were turned off by the greeting to say the least. You would think a brand new establishment would be more welcoming to its customers. The wine was excellent. A cab sav from California. The plank for 2 was excellent..although when we asked what was on it when it got to the table, the waitress had no clue. The entrées were mediocre. I had the risotto, which was very bland, although did have a nice lemon fragrance as described, and he had the braised beef...good, but not great. You can see the effort in trying to portray a high-end restaurant, especially when the bill came, but the service and quality of the meal states otherwise.

Amazing food!!! The food justifies the higher price. There is so much value in what you get here. I have recommended this restaurant to my family and friends, such a great place. I had the risotto - while most places do not know how to properly cook risotto, they got it bang on. The scallops were perfectly done, as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Overall, we really enjoyed our first experience at Rust. The ambiance and food was excellent however, there is room for improvement on the service side. The waiter did not take time to introduce himself, nor brief us on any of the menu items. That little extra time spent with new patrons, would have earned a 5 star review.

This is the worst place to eat! Waited more than 15 minutes for our waiter to service us at the table, after we had to wait for another 14 minutes for our reservation. Food is over prized and mediocre at best. Safe your money and go somewhere else..if I could give it less and a star I would!

Updating my review: 2021 prices are a bit outrageous for dinner. Still a good place for lunch but not sure if it's worth the cost for dinner - only 1-2 mains under $30.

Phenomenal overall experience. This was mine and my husbands first time here and definitely won’t be our last. We both had the steak frites with a Caesar salad and French onion soup to start. Everything was fantastic.The steak frites is a must try. We also had the vanilla bean cheesecake it is a MUST try. It’s a homemade recipe. I am not a dessert person and I could not stop eating this! The service is excellent. We were served by Nicole and she was very pleasant. Overall, a wonderful experience. This place will not disappoint!

Great rustic feel and Nicely decorated place. Food is great as well. Food has a expensive restaurant presentation style. It is nice to find a place that takes time in presentation, gives proper portion and pays attention to quality of food. I am going there tonight again and taking a friend because good place deserve to spread the word about. We should explore more local places and avoid the usual chain restaurant choices that we are so programmed to go to because it's easier.

Recently ate there twice. The first time we had their Taste of Burlington Burger + Beer combo. Amazing! We then had an Easter brunch for 2 + a Jerk Chicken Clubhouse. OH MAN! Not only was the food amazing but they forgot to provide us our bacon and sausage and drove out to our house to deliver the meat. Nothing short of 5 stars here!

I have been to this place for brunch and for dinner. Food is always fresh made, tasty and we'll presented. Staff are amazing and accommodating. We once went for a big group brunch and really felt at home. Prices are re window for quality. There is a good selection of beers and wines. The coffee is good, and desert menu is worth a try. I can say that Rust is definitely one of the best restaurants in Burlington.

Update: Try the Burger... Oh man, it is excellent!! A very welcomed addition to North Burlington and definitely worth visiting! Like any new(er) establishment I'm sure there have been some kinks to work out, but I have eaten here on 4 different occasions and have been super impressed each time. The quality of food is excellent, the cocktails are delicious (the Cederberg and Ciroc Lemon Ginger are a must-try), and the atmosphere is welcoming and unique (love seeing into the kitchen). The Thai mussels are incredible; perfectly cooked and very satisfying, and the truffle parmesan frites are comfort food heaven. The portebello Wellington is a great vegetarian option and I can't say enough about the scallop risotto! I really appreciate how they modify their dishes based on the season. As for service, I've found the staff to be attentive, friendly, and knowledgable; no complaints there! It'll be interesting to see what they do with the patio -- feel that lots of tall shrubs will be needed to help drown out the sound of traffic, but definitely has potential. Overall, this is a really great spot that I'd highly recommend for high quality, delicious food + beverages in a comfortable environment at a reasonable price. Looking forward to trying their brunch next!

The food is simply fantastic! I've never taken brussel sprouts home in my life....and then finished them the same day - today I did. Order the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. The wood fire grill provides a wonderful smell/backdrop. I enjoyed the surf and turf immensely. Next time I would order something else (this is not a complaint, the bacon wrapped filet/lobster were cooked perfectly - the man clearly knows what he is doing) The chef's flavours are too good to waste on a piece of red meat. The burger was epic as were the crab cakes.

With each season, their menu offers new items, yet keeps some of their popular dishes. The food is always fresh & fabulously delicious. We've tried everything on their menu, and can't choose a favorite because it's all been so tasty; however, if I must choose, their burgers and warm potato salad are amazingmy yum! As for their cocktails menu, they offer classics with a current twist, and they're lovely. Their wine & beer selection are great too. In addition, service has always been friendly and wonderful. One is never waiting long for a dish to arrive. LOL can you tell this is our favorite place in Burlington to eat?! Rust is simply fantastic. Their only downfall is that everyone else knows they fantastic too, so reservations are recommended for the weekends.

We've been at this restaurant twice and on both occasions have found the food very good. The dishes we've had are: the ravioli, risotto/scallop, rabbit/gnocchi, and lamb. The combinations were excellent and delicious. The gnocchi were particularly exceptional in that they were much less firmer that the usual restaurant serving; meaning there was a higher proportion of potatoes and thus less flour. Note that since many of their mains involve a meat or fish combination, the dishes will be more expensive than your usual restaurant. They are very busy so you may have to wait a bit for the food.

Rust BistroBar is our favourite restaurant in Burlington. It is our go-to for celebrating events or just wanting an amazing meal. The service is wonderful and the food is exceptional. They mix seasonal items with some staples and we've tried them all and have never been disappointed. We've also done curbside pick-up during Covid and still SO. YUM.
