The service was 10/10. The food was 10/10. This is standard at any good steakhouse. What was totally unique to Napoleon's was their portion sizes. I was absolutely in awe. Never before have I had a full heaping plate of the freshest, most delicious ceasar salad delivered to my table. They also have a 5 foot talk pepper mill, which in my books is justification in itself to return.

Amazing food and big portions. By the time we demolished the garlic bread and giant ceasar salad we had almost no room for dinner. They could almost do with making the starter salads a slightly smaller size. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff.

Best Meal in Town This is my favourite restaurant of all time. It's quaint, and intimate, the food is top notch, Outstanding in all honesty. The portions are great for next moist & delicious steak lunches. Comparable in price to the Keg, but food quality is 100% better on any visit. Don't believe me, try it and decide for yourself. I doubt you'll regret it.

This restaurant is found in the most unlikely places but the atmosphere inside is cozy and lovely dim lighting with classical music in the background. Portion sizes are huge!!! Be prepared to have a big appetite. The Caesar salad that comes with your meal is big enough as a meal on its own. The staff is very polite and helpful. The steaks were cooked to perfection with a good portion of veggies and a baked potato. The peppermills are massive as well! I would honestly rather smaller portions or share a whole meal for 2 people!

If you are looking for an old school Italian fine dining experience with excellent customer service than book Napoleons. The Caesar salad was dressed with a in house dressing that was very well done. It was not overly creamy and had a nice balance of garlic to vinaigrette. They served pickles and bread upon sitting down. The pickles were 10/10! The calamari appetizer was lightly fried and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the service was attentive and friendly.

The food was amazing. My wife and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary and were taken care of by an excellent waiter named Greg. We had the calamari (which was the best we have ever had, they melted in your mouth instead of being hardened rubber) the Caesar salad and the surf and turf. Got a huge portion of lobster and the steak was cooked to perfection. It is a little expensive but the quality is definitely there. Along with the positive experience of our waiter we will definitely be back again.

I never write a negative review but this experience forced me too! I called in to make a reservation for 2 at this restaurant as friends had told me that this place is such a wonderful experience that we had to try! I made reservations on November 19th at 3:00pm for the November 21st at 7:30pm. My fiance and I showed up at 7:30pm on the 21st when we had made the reservation for and the doors were locked, 'open sign' off, billboard outside and lights on. We called to ask about why they are closed as the website says that they are open until 10:00pm on Tuesdays. When we spoke to the woman on the phone she said that the grill had broke that day which is understandable, but we never got a phone call to let us know not to come that night. We drove all the way there, took time from work to leave early enough to get there for 7:30 and be able to enjoy our experience and they were closed! They claimed they lost my reservation and that they never called because they did not have it written down! Would not recommend to go to this place as you never will really know if they are open or not!!!

Nice little place tucked away in a small strip mall that can probably seat about 40 people. The atmosphere is calm with dim lighting just enough to read the menu and wood panel walls. Chairs are wide and comfortable. Waiter brought pickles and goat cheese along with garlic bread before the menus which were delicious. Ordered a 16oz rib steak cooked to perfection with baked potato and Caesar salad which was huge fresh and full of garlic in the dressing. Of course I was unable to finish the meal but was able to wrap it up for home. My plate was 60 bucks but I certainly did not walk away with an empty feeling. Great place with great service and the food was excellent. If you are looking for a special occasion place to go with really good food, you gotta eat here.

We had a great experience here the other day. The restaurant is a small quaint place to dine and has very nice ambiance. The staff were very friendly and the service was amazing. The food was excellent. We truly enjoyed our meal and the portions are quite large! It's a little pricey, but worth it for sure. There was a bit of a wait, even though we had a reservation, and the first staff member that greeted us wasn't the most friendly. All was forgotten by the time we were seated and started enjoying our experience. I highly recommend trying this place!

My favorite steakhouse in the GTA. You will not get better quality and quantity at the price point they offer. I will choose Napoleons every single time when my friends try to bring up the Keg or Ruth Chris.. Its just not worth it. If you do happen to visit, definitely ask for server Greg. You will receive outstanding customer service and a memorable experience :)

Beautiful, elegant, friendly are just a few words I can use to describe this restaurant. A smaller restaurant in a place it does not seem to belong with a great romantic atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very attentive neaver leaving your glass half full. The food portions are very good allowing you time to linger before the next course is served and resulting in a very full and satisfied feeling when you are done. I had the Cuban lobster which I have never found anywhere outside of Cuba and it was to die for. I never knew this place existed until seeing reviews on a reddit group during covid in support of local business but I highly recommend everything about this place is top notch.

Enjoyed a Father’s Day dinner on their temporary patio. The patio is nothing spectacular and had no ambiance ... but the service and food were excellent. From the humongous Caesar salads, delicious garlic bread, tray of feta and pickles, Best ever calamari, the surf and turf, filet mignons, and 20 ounce rib steak with all the trimmings — eye- everything was cooked to perfection. We probably could have spilt entrees but the leftovers will be a bonus. Loved the cheese cakes too with the shortbread bottoms.

So many good things to say but in the interest of being concise: the value, service, and food are worth every penny you will pay. On my birthday this year a plate of calamari showed up as an unexpected thank you. Who does that? I really appreciate the feeling of traveling back in time and and being welcomed into a family atmosphere - plus leaving with enough food to feed myself another delicious meal the next day.

Everything was amazing! The ambiance,the wine, the food! So on point and so worth the money. Go if you want to have a great time! The pickles and feta paired with the garlic bread was just the beginning. Never thought I'd appreciate steak with sauce but hot dang! The baked potato comes with it's own butter and sour cream on the side, a lot of it. That's what makes the difference.

Came to Napolean's with my wife and kids (a bit strange having kids here, but the wait staff and kitchen were very adept at handling kids). Overall, positive experience but some oddities that means we won't be back in a hurry. Wide ordered the filet Neptune and I the Neptune. The kids had chicken fingers and ceaser salad. Firstly, the salad, garlic bread, Feta and pickles to start were all awesome. The ceaser is great and deserves the accolades. But I found it a bit rich. The steaks were cooked well. Where things got strange was the sides (beans and baked potatoe). The sides were verging on completely unseasonably. No butter, no nothing. A plain potato with a sprinkle of salt. Not what I'd expect at this price per plate. Overall, dinner was good, but a few glaring misses. Wait staff was incredibly pleasant and accommodating. Overall, if you want a steak and salad, come hear.

We went here for the first time for a date night. Huge mistake. WE had seafood. I assume the lobster tail was severely overcooked. Literally I could lift the entire tail by my fork and shake vigorously with no fear of it leaving th fork. This is not how lobster tail cooked correctly should behave. It also had a very strong bottom feeder taste that was totally unexpected. I had shrimp with it and to my surprise it had an identical taste. An earthy bottom feeder taste. No Sweetness at all. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and flavorless. The appetizers were average. The french onion soup was ok though a bit over salted. All in all a very disappointing meal. We took a streak home for our room mate who said it was quite good so there is that. We also gave her some of the shrimp and lobster. She agreed that it was barely edible and had a weird taste that should not have been there. Never again.

That ceaser dressing is everything. We got a salad and a slice of cake. The cake was good but that dressing was the star. Everyone raves about it and now I see why. On top of that they are super accomodating. They made my time work and was even still kind when we were a bit late. We hope to visit them in person when things are better but till then we are savoring that dressing. Also lool how much dressing comes with ONE order of salad.. (we have used it on another salad and even as dips for chicken and pizza)

I don't understand how this place has such a high review! Especially for people of burlington who I would think would have a richer taste if they can afford meals like this. First experience the lady at the front that greater us had NO personality everyone there seemed to be very dry. The lady that was there made me feel so uncomfortable she walked up and down the small restaurant with not a kind look on her face. The waiters were fine if they were your waiter but if they were just coming around to clean or fill your water if you say thank you there was never a response back. Service was good I think a little obsessive with filling water but I'd rather full water then none. We actually told the waiter no more water please and he said he had to because the boss wants them topped up at all times... sounded very strict and everyone seemed up tight so I wasn't surprised. Last thing I want to comment on is the food I see all these great reviews unless this was a bad night for them then I think everyone should really check for cholesterol because the amount of salt in almost EVERYTHING I ate was terrible! 2 of the 4 of us started with onion soup besides the fact it was nearly all bread and cheese it was SO salty both of barely ate any. The other 2 had ceaser salad and chowder, ceased was actually good but very messy display and the chowder was apparently okay. Main dishes 3 of the 4 got steak and 1 got chicken parm. Steak was cooked PERFECTLY that is definitely 5 star but the sauces again were so salty even the tomato sauce was unbearable for the almost $300 bill I would say barely half of the food was eaten. If I ran a restaurant and saw that the food was barely touched I would have asked something to the customers. Lastly about the food 2 of us have food sensitivities 1 can't eat stuff fried in oil and the other is allergic to mushrooms. Everything has some kind of frying or searing of oil and as for the mushrooms you have like 2 choices pretty much. Again for such a "high end" restaurant I would say I'd always pick the keg over this place and I don't even like the keg all that much. We didn't order dessert but it was a birthday for 2 of us they did give desert with candles which was nice the chocolate truffle or mousse was great but the caramel thing I thought was too sweet but I am not good to judge I don't like caramel. I feel this place has potential to be much better but hey people like what they like.

To whoever would claim that the food and dining experience is anything but spectacular. I would question your creditials and immediately assume the charming waiter was better conversation and company than you. The plaza is questionable at best. However once opening the large wooden doors you are taken into a tiny but atmospheric restraunt as to be expected from a location such as Joe beef in Montreal or the popular barbarians in downtown Toronto. The portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable. The caesar salad is a meal on its own with an in house dressing that may put off those who's example of high end dinning begin and end with the word Reenes. The waiters are non intrusive ensuring your drinks are topped off in a timely and consistent manner in between courses. While the food itself is well above its competition with the keg or any other large chain steak house. When compared to the likes of Joe beef or barbarians this unfortunately falls short. With that being said the overall value atmosphere and dinning experience is phenomenal. As long as Napoleon’s remain in business, I will not go so low as to eat at a restaurant such as the Keg when I could simply pay a few dollars more for a superior experience. If you live in the Burlington area I would recommend eating here at least once.

I was surprised that prices that they show online are much lower then the actual price on the menu. Three people at my table who had the Ceasar salad was not able to eat it because it was drenched with garlic and dressing. Service is very good. Food is good, though salty. Some would categorize it as 'well seasoned'. It's not that it's bad, just salty. The portions are more than fair. The decor is very dated (think 80s), and the washroom (though tidy and scented), is not clean. Check the air vent and caked on 'dirt' on toilet bowl. Came here on a friday with a party of 10 and was excited to try the restaurant as I had not been. I started with a manhattan which was excellent and ended up ordering the Special the $69 dollar ribeye chicago style medium rare. They started us with some of the tastiest garlic bread I have had just screaming with garlic and put down a plate of garlicy and zesty caesar salad with a portion the size of a dinner plate. This salad needs bacon though. The reason for my poor review was the steak which was supposed to be the star of the show and just failed in all aspects. The steak was way oversalted and I am used to salting my steaks heavily. The 2nd problem was it was blue rare in some areas but medium in others, like they just pulled it out of the deep freeze or the back of the fridge. $69 for a huge disappointment. The waiter didn't even ask why I only ate half before whisking everyones plates away and by that point we wanted to leave.

We really wanted to like this place because there are next to no good steak places in Halton where they serve a truly great filet. But we've been here twice now and both times have been sick afterward. No nausea but really bad runs. Barely made it home to tell the truth. Both times the salads appeared fresh so we are wondering if the dressing is the culprit? Maybe they use the old feta that has been on other people's tables in it? Or maybe the salad is fresh but not washed? Who knows? Just know something isn't right. The last time my garlic bread also had a fishy undertaste which it did not last night. I also noticed they gave us enough butter for an army for my potato. There was an awful lot left and I wonder if all that butter went in the garbage or back in the fridge for the next customer. The filet was good but frankly the lobster tail had a slightly bad undertaste. We are used to fine dining and know when things are as they should be or not. Won't be back again.

Not nearly the service or food quality I expected for the price. I paid over $40 for a steak dish that came with frozen shrimp you get at the grocery store and my husband's surf and turf was $79 which was just ok. We weren't offered drinks when ours were empty and I was without water most of the meal. I wondered why everything was taking so long and my husband pointed out that all the servers were just standing at the back not busy at all. Over all unimpressed and we wont be going back.

We had reservations, then the lockdown happened and George took the time to call us to talk about it. We wanted to try Napoleons so we stuck with takeout and I’m glad I did. Spectacular food, they give you signature stuff free of charge and lots of it. Our meal could have fed 6 people but all high end fare....the value is unmatched anywhere I’ve ever been in my life. Highly recommend Napoleons, an amazing local spot that’s been here for decades, so it’s a no brainer. An awesome meal

Four of us visited this restaurant last evening, August 5th. The restaurant has been open for 36 years, I was there approx. 25 years ago. Now I remember why it took so long to go back. The martini was a glass of gin. The Caesar's salad was 3 times too big for an appetizer and was soaked in dressing. The garlic bread was a hunk of bread. I ordered the filet to be safe-ordered pink or medium. It arrived well done and tough. The in-house fries were hot but under deep fried as they were soft. The green beans were green. To their credit the meal was written off but a very disappointing adventure. The one positive is I will probably be gone before the next 25 year visit comes up.
