A lot of my friends absolutely love this place. I wasn't thrilled, personally. The portions were fantastic - however the food was bland and they just could have done so much more. The service was slow; the atmosphere average. The chicken dry - but, there was a lot of it.

We have ordered food from this specific Montforts a handful of times as an office lunch. Every time I go to pick it up, it is hot and fresh. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Our office LOVES the food, and if we could have it every week we would. Fredy is SO nice, and we will continue to come back time after time just to see him! Thank you!

First time visiting, I ordered the famous Montfort Chicken and what a disaster it was. I don't know how this is on the menu, seriously. The cook just chopped up a precooked chicken breast on the grill and threw in some pineapple, that's it. The meat was obviously dry as the Mohave, seasoning was basic, and it didn't even have any sauce in it. When I unwrapped it, I couldn't even hold it as the pita bread started breaking apart. It literally fell apart in my hands. How is this chicken "famous"?? You seriously can't be serving leftover chicken breast and pretend it's any good. If you want to eat good chicken go to Ronys in Hamilton, u won't look back!

Very nice decor and ample parking. However, service was slow and staff was inattentive. I asked for no cucumbers or tomatoes and my dishes were loaded with them. Also the server didn't know what type of "house" beer they had (Nickel brook). Also they don't come to check on us once our mains had been delivered which is funny because we would have bought more drinks and dessert.

Grabbed some chicken shwarmas, which were different than the kind at most middle eastern places I've seen around the GTA, and they were fantastic! Great spices on the chicken and came with this really awesome tomato-y, onion spread-type thing. Humus was fine enough.

Good spot for a quick bite to eat, I've visited this location a couple times. I always order the chicken shawarma salad, it's great, but a little pricey. The hummus and the falafel appetizers are fantastic.

Monforts is one of my favourite hotspots in Burlington. This Mediterranean themed restaurant has never failed me when it comes to the quality and taste of their various foods. Not to mention the place is open til 4AM on Saturday’s, so it makes for a great place post-drinking. The staff has always been great. While the interior decor may be dated, it does have a sense of home to it.

I really use to love going here but I feel the popularity has gone to their heads a bit. The prices are way too high now and the food quality has gone down. The service is usually pretty good but lately the friendliness of the staff has wained. I'm not sure I'll be going back anytime soon .

A meal for 2 definitely shouldn't be $70. Might as well go to all you can eat sushi for the price. I didn't even get an appetizer. I paid extra for 2 garlic sauce ($1.98 EACH) and they didn't even put it in the bag. Bread was burnt and dry. Washroom had dead bugs on the ground. Service is bottom of the barrel horrible. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered online for convenience. Got there, ignorantly gestured to the back for pick up, stood, no one approached, I had to ask same ignorant woman is anyone gonna serve me?....she didn’t respond as one would expect! Instead, a guy sitting & preoccupied with his fone, suddenly jumped up & started to prepare my order!! Another guy came to take payment, I said so my order is just being made? He began to say we have customers!...I replied that was the point of ordering online! So I had to wait for my order....no apologies, thank you, nothing! Ignorant people!! Ps. There was one table of 3 people eating! No busy atmosphere at all!

Went for lunch. The food was good and fresh however the service was lacking. Our beverages were not refilled, staff was borderline rude. And they refused to take their own coupon stating that it didn't work for specials; which was clearly stated however the coupon states for lunch or dinner. Apparently their entire lunch menu is a special! The coupon was for a maximum$10.00 so not a huge hit to their bottom line. Even worse than denying the coupon (it was only $10.00 so I wasn't overly concerned) was the attitude with which they rationalized why it was not good for lunch. I won't be returning despite the quality of food. This place might want to reconsider how they treat patrons if they want repeat business.

Their Montfort Chicken and Tabbouleh Salad are the two best items on the menu in my opinion - but on the other hand, nothing else has been a disappointment! If you are looking for good eats open late, check out Montforts! You will be happy you did!!! Looking forward to returning!

Ordered online for a pick up. Went there and they said they had no order for me so I showed them a screenshot that I had actually ordered things to this restaurant and the employee working looked at it and her response was ‘this doesn’t help me with your order’ in a very snarky voice so I left. Very disappointed in the customer service here maybe we should take a look at the staff and their attitude.

The best Mediterranean food in Burlington!! I've loved it after trying it for the first time as a kid, and I still love it even as a 23 year-old. I usually get the same order - the Montfort pita burger which comes with fries and salad. The portion is huge, so it's well worth the money (even though it has increased a lot over the years). I usually take it out and/or eat at the Appleby location as it's the most coziest and comfortable to me. It's also really nice that's it is open into the wee hours. My favourite restaurant :)

One of the 1st Montfort restaurant ( if not the 1st) Time has past since it opened in the late '90s. The restaurant increased in size - which is a good thing considering the popularity it gain over the years. Prices have also gone up over the years. Portion sizes haven't changes significantly but that may depend on your order. Servers are generally friendly and ready to help with daily specials. All in all, it is still the best place to go to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine at its best.

Great place for quality middle eastern food. Definitely a must try if you’re a vegan in Burlington. I highly recommend getting any of the Mazza plates, which allow you to pick any 4 appetizers (aside from the wings). I liked the baba ganoush, hummus, and the Jebneh makleyah!

We ordered take out and we were very disappointed with the food, lack of taste and quality. We were only limited to one sauce for us to share. The chicken was so dry in our shawarmas and lacking major flavor. The salad was warm from having a hot pita in tinfoil combined in the same container and then stacked in the middle of two hot take out containers. We did not receive cutlery with our meal and asked for it as well. Hands down one of the places we will not be visiting again.

Used to be one of my favourite restaurants but the cheap looking reno totally ruined the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the quarky feel of the place before and the big screen TV blaring 90s hip hop was a big turn off for me. The food is still decent but the service is suddenly horrendous. Hardly anybody in the place yet we barley saw our waitress. Also, my dad had one glass of wine and went to order more but was told there was none. Red or white. Seriously? I've been going to this restaurant for 20 years and have no desire to go back.

Owner was SO MEAN. I asked for toppings on my burger, didn't arrive that way, and the owner spoke back to me rudely saying that's why you got a salad on the side, inciuating for me to put my salad veggies on the burger. He put veggies on my burger like I asked, eventually. At the end he came over to my table and explained when it's busy that there is no toppings. And I said, well that's why I asked and the server said okay. And he kept explaining no toppings and I said there's no communication and that's not my problem. I said he was being rude to me and he said "NO ONE CALLS ME RUDE" and started to intimidate me and I said please leave my table and he said leave my restaurant....that escalated quickly and he was fuming....all I asked was for veggies on my burger, if it was a no from the start explaining to me the reason why then I would have been okay. But he started talking about me, pointing to me to the other workers...just terrible experience, made me feel very hurt and crushed

Amazing food and service! I have never had a bad meal here and I've been here so many times EDIT: it appears since my last visit the ownership has changed, was given the side eye when I walked in, went to buy a tub of the garlic sauce which 5 months ago was $5 was told today it is $11 plus tax. When I questioned this dramatic increase I was met with a rude lady saying our prices went up! Over half seriously! I walked out and will not be returning to this location again.

I have been enjoying the Brant St. Montfort location for over 10 years, and I have always had amazing food. I live out of town, but when I'm in the area and it's time to eat, I will hand's down choose Montfort, the Brant St. location. One of my personal favorites is the Montfort Chicken, it's always superb. When I'm with my kids, we will always get a mixed grill platter. They serve so much food on their platters. I always order a mixed grill for 2, and take my 2 hungry teenage kids. The 3 of us end up in food comas, and there is always enough leftover for someone's lunch. Amazing value for your money. The staff are all very courteous and friendly. I give this restaurant 10 stars. See you next time!

This is probably the worst restaurant experience ive ever had in my entire life. The dinning experience including the food was okay. As soon as we went to pay, the cashier was so rude, I asked to double check my bill and he showed me the reciept and told me, "should I pay for your bill aswell." This man was extremely racist and thought our group would not pay for the bill, when we clearly all linned up at the register to pay. Worst experience ever.

Great tasting Shawarma with larger portions than you would find at any other establishment. The lettuce and vegetables in the salad were always fresh and paired with a delicious dressing. You can tell that they have a great attention to detail when it comes to their dishes as it all culminates together to form a synonymous flavour. All members of the staff were pleasant and courteous. The owner who was present at the time was also very hospitable and welcoming. If you are looking for an authentic Shawarma/Mediterranean this place is definitely worth checking out. Will be returning for sure.

today’s mother’s day, and it was crazy busy for takeout. because of this people did have to wait a little bit, and many people were so exceptionally rude to the staff because they had to wait. it’s a global pandemic and you’re lucky enough to be able to order delicious food, god forbid you have to wait a little longer so YOU don’t have to cook. i think it’s ridiculous how rude people were to people working and cooking for you during a global pandemic. our food was fantastic, like always. thank you for staying open and working hard to keep up with all the crazy orders.

Although it's located in a non descript strip plaza, it is terrific inside. You get a definite middle eastern feel and very comfortable atmosphere. Serving staff are warm and friendly. The food is beyond description delicious. Egyptian, Lebanese and Arabic type food. Good sized portions, reasonable price and never a disappointing meal. A traditional place for me and my family to eat before we go to see hockey game in Toronto. I come from Niagara falls looking forward to it.

Disappointed. Ordered two pitas and fries for takeout. Order with tip was $37. When I arrived home the bag was dripping with oil. Chicken in both pitas was dry and overcooked and pita, wet from the oil, just fell apart. Took a few bites and into the garbage they went. There are better options in Burlington. Sorry to say.

The food is mediocre. The service was ok when I dined in..but the management is completely incompetent and unprofessional. A few times I ordered over the phone and the person taking the order had no clue what I was trying to order even though it was clearly on the menu. I worked here a couple years ago for three shifts and witnessed the manager smoking cigarettes in the kitchen and also in the dining room after the restaurant was closed. Also, the waitresses' tips were severely ripped off by the manager and the staff were treated poorly. I was never paid for my three shifts! This place should be closed down.

This is one of our most favourite places to eat. Whenever we are in Burlington we make a special trip here for lunch. The food is authentic, fresh and the portions are generous. The restaurant Is bright and open. The staff and friendly and attentive. You won’t wait long for food to arrive at your table and you will be impressed. Try the Montfort Chicken Sandwich, the Maza Dips for 2 and the handmade in house middle eastern desserts. Take leftovers home. You will come back time again trust me. I can recommended this restaurant and especially this location on Brant Street, without hesitation.

Staff were super rude and ignorant when I first placed my order she charge me separately for three chicken skewer when I just wanted extra Chicken with the dinner I ordered the bill came to $88 for the chicken dinner and a Greek salad when I wanted to change the order because of the price she wasn’t happy so we Fixed the order total was $55 but told me it’s $3 more to change the salad Ok fine Paid for the meals she told me 10 mins .. we came back in 10 mins later she said another 5-10 mins I waited 27 mins total and when I went in and asked for hot sauce she said it would be extra ??? Never again that was insane just to older mine and my husbands food

Worst shawerma I’ve ever had, it shouldn’t be called even shawerma, just some chicken pieces thrown on the grill with some cumin and paparika on it that’s all, paid 28$ for 2 sandwiches only no sides or salads even on sandwich. One of the places u feel u got ripped off. Literally just bread with plain chicken only. First and last time there for sure.

From uber eats. Ordered the lamb shashlik, always very good, large tender chunks of lamb. Ordered home fries, got rice instead, was looking forward to the soup, didn't come. Pitas are really nice with the dinner. Salad was still crispy and the dressing is quite good, not a salad person. Even though I got rice, which was still good, wanted potatoes, and no soup.

Just ate at the rest stop in Grimsby! The servers were uninterested in customer service and the food was terrible! The chicken was questionable and the dressing had no taste! I will never go there again!

Not even sure if I should give it one star. Staff was rude, meals were poorly plated, and two of the meals were delivered before I even placed my order. When we commented on the plating, the waitress said that it's like MacDonald's - the picture always makes it look better. Not a ringing endorsement that's for sure. We left without eating and found a place that was more interested in paying attention to its customers. Won't go back to this location.

I was just there tonight with my boyfriend. The food is really good, no conplaints there. They were somewhat busy, and understaffed. The server apoligized for it, but my boyfriend and I understood because we both work in restaurants. The only issue was they were understaffed. Also, I will say this experience was better than others I've had here. Te reason being there is one guy who works there is really creepy. As for cleanliness, I would say it's pretty good. I took one look around while we were waiting for our food, and noticed a few of the chairs I saw looked like they were being held together by duct tape. Saw the same thing when I peeked behind the bar a little. All in all, it's really not a bad place.

As regular customers of this location I have to say I’m pretty disappointed with their service tonight. We called in the afternoon to ask about placing a pick up order for dinner (2 people) was told no problem just call an hour before your ready to pick up. Have now called numerous (20+) times and instead of answering to say we are busy or whatever the case they are literally picking up the phone and just hanging up on you. Very poor service. Will now be switching our loyalty to a different location that did answer their phone and were very pleasant to deal with.

All I have to say is they are Thieves. My sons dad left my sons iPad Air with the staff on Sunday for us to pick it up. I called Monday no IPad the lady that answered the phone was RUDE and didn’t even care . Today I’m following up with the police and making sure someone is changed. Thanks for stealing a little boys ipad. Food and service is not the same as it was years ago . Food has went down in quality, and service well is wors then a fast food restaurant. Worst meal ever...ordered chicken souvlaki, for delivery takeout, got lamb souvlaki, good job I had no allergies, the lamb was terrible. When I called I was offered at first nothing, then offered a credit for next time....really...won't be going back there. ALSO , I didn't want rice, if it wasn't brown. Very sad what was delivered!

Lentil soup is one of the best I’ve ever had, menu recommended squeezing lemon onto the soup and it was so refreshing and a great touch! Pita bread was delicious. Falafels were fantastic. Only complaint is that we asked for water and were given plastic bottles and charged $1.99 each. Felt like I was in Europe being charged for water.

Went here for dinner yesterday. The food was just okay. Lacking flavour. I eat in the new Burlington mall location a couple of weeks ago & the food was delicious. Disappointed in this one. The service was good but no real welcome, or no goodbye have a nice evening. In fact no one even asked us if our meal was okay. When we were leaving we were about to say bye & thank you, to be polite, but the staff just ignored us & continued talking amongst themselves. My husband & I Iaughed as we left & I said well that was embarrassing, they ignored us.. not even a hope to see you again... nothing! The only friendly person there was a young lady who told us it was her first night working there. A little more friendliness & warmth and add flavour to the food.

Very disappointed. Ordered online which was confirmed. At the suggested pick up time I was informed that one of my menu items was not available so neither was the rest of my order. Not much concern on their part only suggested I order something else and they would then get my order ready. Submitting my phone number was part of the order process, perhaps a call back?? I LOVE Montfort, I always have, until today that is. The chicken on my salad was completely raw. I called them to inform them of their mistake in hopes they could learn from it and just be mindful for the next orders. I was not seeking a refund or anything in return, I just wanted to make them aware. The lady that answered the phone told me she didn't make the food and would have to talk to the chef about my concern and wanted me to hold the line while she did so. She really seemed taken a back by my call and didn't know what to do. She did not even put me on hold and I heard her tell the chef very clearly that my chicken was not cooked. I heard (clear as day) the chef burst out laughing at the complaint. She then said something about that was wrong. The lady came back on the phone and said the chef always cooks her chicken properly, and again I said I was just trying to ensure they were aware of the fact that they served raw chicken to a client. She said there was nothing they could really do other than me bringing the salad back and giving me a new one. After biting into raw chicken, I wasn't really convinced on that idea. I was at work and on a lunch break I was on a time crunch and couldn't just leave. She suggest I have the door dash driver bring the salad back and bring me a new one. I don't think the door dash driver gets paid to do that. Anyway, I am very sad at the lack of concern and professionalism I experienced today as I have been going to this location for over 10 years. They have many loyal clients such as myself so they will be fine and this review will not affect them in any way. Food handling and safety is a major concern and should be taken very seriously. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. And I hope I feel ok later.

We have been regulars for over 10 years. Great place to get some vegetarian food and a beer. The staff and cooks are friendly. It's one of the few places in Burlington that is open late.

Unfortunately not too thrilled with our first experience here. We thought we were getting a classic shawarma with all of the accoutrements based on other Montfort locations, but this was not the case. Spent $30 to receive two pitas and fries with nothing else—no pickles, no turnips, no lettuce, etc. Staff was nice, and fries were good, but food was just not what we were expecting, and the price didn’t seem to align with what we received.

Perfect for late night cravings! This place is quick and consistent and filling every time. I tend to order the chicken shawarma on rice, it's the perfect amount for just me. If I'm eating with my partner, we get the chicken shawarma dinner and split it. The naan is always hot and fresh, same for the hummus. The Baba ganoush appetizer here isn't my favourite but that's okay because there is so much more on the menu. It will never leave you wanting!

Two stars and sliding... been going to and enjoying Montfort for almost 20 years, the late night after bar staple turned into a down the block great food at a great price go to. Lately though, although the food remains great, the service is brutal. I realize it’s a pandemic. I realize you get hammered at the dinner rush with take out. Don’t though, lie to me and tell me after I’ve ordered on the phone, come in and paid and stood there for 20 minutes that “it’s just been bagged” when I haven’t seen you touch the two bags you handed me and I ask you about it. On top of it after given the benefit of the doubt, don’t tell the customer when they call you’re to busy with take out. Last 3 times I ordered entree salads to go and got home the salad was still cool and the chicken was hot. Your “Just bagged” 2 wilted warm soggy salads with Luke warm chicken and a kids soggy fries and 2 small pieces of chicken certainly aren’t worth $45 or the excuses.

Got takeout from this restaurant and was not impressed. I got the super falafel which included a falafel wrap, salad, and home fries. The best part of the meal was the salad. The falafel wrap had no hummus or sauce, it was so dry. Not worth it for the price. The potatoes were barely seasoned. Would not recommend.

The food was excellent, however the first time I came here, I got a Falafel Pita like I have at many other Montfort locations, and it came with absolutely no sauces... Which I was not informed of before I left the restaurant and found this out on the road. Every other location I've been to what's hummus in the pita, but I was in a hurry and had already left. Hence the 4-star rating. I have since eaten here a few times and the food again was always excellent.

Always excellent food there. Staff is friendly and appreciative. Easy access for handicap ppl and most importantly, you can get a real meal that isn't full of empty calories even late at night when most real restaurants are closed. They are open til 3am most nights and even later on weekends. Which means you can take your time and enjoy your meal in a great atmosphere. Even late at night.

AVOID. I write this in the middle of the night sitting on my toilet with diarrhea and stomache pain from the food I ordered from this place. Here’s the thing, not only did it cause me physical pain and misery. The dishes we ordered tasted terrible. The chicken and beef were dry and basically cardboard. The rice was worse than we make at home. The vegetables were fresh at least but the red sauce tasted like old nacho sauce. I cannot believe I paid for this food that gave food poisoning. What a waste.

Whatever time of day you go the food is always incredible. The service is amazing, and we always leave feeling like part of the family. My boyfriend and I both work late so we usually show up at 11 or 12 and I feel bad as I don't like bugging servers when it isn't busy. But needless to say every time we show up we are welcomed with bright smiles, prompt service, and amazing food. I've even shown up at 2 in the morning and the food quality is always impeccable. Portion sizes are amazing, I usually go home too full from eating too much because I can't seem to help but eat everything infront of me. Yes sometimes the service is slow.... BUT common guys it is so totally worth it, and between everyone greeting you as you walk in and the food quality and how the servers check in on you you really can't complain. i hope you guys continue to keep it up, I really enjoy coming in ! Thank you for all that you do to make my visits feel special. I hope this gets passed on to everyone as even the guy that collects dishes and cleans tables is great. And the chef always remembers us and engages us in conversation. LOVE this place. Will be back, have been here twice this week!

We went in at 1pm and they were full with their 10 person limit. Lady said 10 min. Or take out and walked away. . We sat down on a bench waited 10 mins. At no time did she acknowledge we were still there, offer a menu, ask if we were waiting or doing take out. So, we went somewhere that wanted our business.. Would have taken 10 sec. to say "I'm sorry am at my limit here is a menu Ill check on you an a few moments and you can decide to wait 10 mins or so or. Order some take out."

We ate here in a large group, the staff was understandably a little frantic and scattered. The food was overpriced and mediocre. My niece was standing up from the table as a waitress came rushing through with a pot of PIPING HOT coffee. She splashed it on my niece and on herself. It left my niece with a heart blister and a 2nd degree burn! None of the staff tried to help or apologized, they just mopped up the mess and walked away. Terrible service and reckless staff!

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers. I had ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich, and was beyond disappointed. The chef simply put cooked chicken in a pita bread and wrapped it without offering or asking about any vegetables or sauce. Who eats a shawarma with just chicken?! I've been to countless shawarma stores and this was the first time this has happend. I would have been okay with the mistake, but the manager/employee was rude after asking about the order and requesting for vegetables. Caution if you're ordering, especially take-out. Charge extra for hummus or any sauce of the side?

Definitely unacceptable !!! I drive from Dundas all the way to Burlington for this specific location for over 5 years . The past 9 months the food has gone down hill and still rolling until now . I can go to any other locations that are closer but choose to come here ! I spent over $80 on takeout and this is the quality of food I received !!! Makes wonder is there a new owner or management or they just gave up on making food and they should step aside . The kibbi was burnt and double deep fried , not fresh and the Kicker was I found a hair when I spilt it half so I can dip it in the garlic sauce they give you with it . Kafta dinner was sub-par. The kafta meat was dry, over cooked , no spices and definitely was cooked prior to order. The rice was edible and the tabouleh was okay . Chicken shawarma dinner was par. Flavor and spices were there , but nothing to brag about. Who ever thinks I was just being spiteful or hating or just being an A$$H0L3. Go there spend $80 and tell me how you feel. By some miracle they pulled off your order and made it taste good, im going to question your "Middle Eastern" cuisine knowledge. To the Monfort staff , management and Owners that is reading this. Word to the wise , this is a wake up call. NOTHING ELSE !!!

Then I turned the corner, and saw that not a single one of the employees was wearing a mask. There were 2 cooks, and the guy who rang me through and not a single one had his mask on. Seriously. It was okay. We ordered a variety of things to share. Rice had overcooked frozen veggies in it. The monofort chicken was okay. No semblance of cucumber in the taziki. Lentil soup is delicious as is fresh hummus. Pitas were soaking wet from grease from meats. Now the atmosphere - annoyingly loud music that looped and the bench seat (to the immediate right of doors) had big cracked holes in the upholstery. Come on, fix that! Chairs were wobbly. Would I go again? No, this used to be a good place.

Service 1/5 Nobody greeted my party at the door though many servers walked past us. After a few minutes, we sat ourselves at a table. 10 minutes later, I got up to get us some menus. Terrible service as servers just kept walking past us. Food 1/5 Was noylt enjoying my meal, so I decided to order some plain pitas to eat with the dip. The server informed us there would be an extra charge even though I told him it was because I did not like the meal. Sure enough, nothing was taken off the bill. Would not go back to this place.

We went near closing and got a takeout dinner we thought was meant for 2. Got 2 giant bags of food and the man who took our order gave us some bonus hummus. Ended up taking us 3 meals to finish everything but it was still delicious and the garlic sauce is very good! The kofta was a personal favorite. We'll definitely be coming back
