Took my Vegan girlfriend here, was great to be able to find a place that can accommodate both of us. Started with the vegan bruschetta (they gave me feta on the side). Then I had the beef tenderloin, she has the vegan bowl. Food was fantastic! Above all, it's great to be able to find a rooftop patio that's not blasting music and sports hooligans, I could actually hear my girlfriend talk! Definitely going back.

Went here with friends for the first time and atmosphere and service were incredible! Not to mention the amazing food. I had the venison and it was easily the best venison I've ever had and wife loved the beet salad and mac and cheese. Would highly recommend this place.

Nice place, and the food is good. For the price though, I'd expect a slightly better service - if you're paying $150+/couple, the server shouldn't forget your drink (and not noticing, despite serving you food), and cutlery shouldn't be presented rolled up like they do at Swiss Chalet.

Excellent food & service! I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner with a friend yesterday evening. The Pacific Halibut was cooked to perfection and everything was delicious. My friend has Celiac and I asked if they had gluten-free bread, and they did and brought us some without any extra charge. We lingered for a long time as the only people left in the restaurant and no one ever made us feel pressured to leave. The staff was attentive and checked on us just the right amount of times.

Excellent food and service. We were there for a celebration and the was given complimentary sparkling wine to start our meals. My main course was the veal chop. It was probably the best veal chop that I had in recent memory, cooked to a perfect medium rare. I had a taste of the halibut that my wife ordered and it was also excellent. Note that the portions are generous. The meal was completed with the cream brûlée, which I really enjoyed.

Fantastic place! I've been here 3 times so far, trying different menu items, and it's been fantastic each time. Not only is the food good, but staff had been superb, and there are two patios; outside on ground, as well as rooftop. Update: went for our first weekend brunch, and definitely recommend it. The best brunch you'll find in the city. Once again, the staff are the best, so friendly. Love this place!

Loon Docks never disappoints! They are handling Covid restrictions really well. Customers are very distanced from each other and all protocols are being followed rigorously. The food always exceeds expectations and the service is delightful. The ambiance is relaxing and I really appreciate that the music is not loud, it's easy to talk to the people you're with. I always leave feeling recharged and relaxed. It's a special experience. Best restaurant in Halton!

Best beef tenderloin I have ever had. Beautiful Shiraz to go with. Cookies and Cream Cheesecake was life changing. Very affordable fine dining, better pricing than similar spots in Toronto. I am surprised this place is not packed. Just a matter of time as I guess they are pretty new to the area. Highly recommended.

We went for Mother’s Day Brunch in person in 2019. Promptly seated on time. Complimentary mimosa for the Mrs. and had kids menu items that were perfect portions. The meals were great and Efie was attentive, engaging and most made sure we were happy with every aspect of our dining experience. Well done Loondocks. We then did curb side brunch pick up for 2020 Mother’s Day. A great selection of cheese and charcuterie, the mimosa mix was perfect and the scones were a hit. To top it off the good folks at Loondocks even had the option of flowers. Well done Kevin and team!

Amazing food and service. The atmosphere was great and the roof top patio was breath taking. Went there for brunch and dinner and my experiences were consistent with one another, simply perfect. Had the duck poutine, halibut and Angus burger, which were all something I would highly recommend and will definitely get again.

Had a good time socially distancing on the rooftop patio. Nicely laid out with space between tables. String lights and comfy couches are a nice touch, as are the fresh herbs around the rooftop. Had the artic char and it was awesome! Would return for sure.

Loondocks provides one of the best lockdown takeaway food experiences we've had. They've clearly put a lot of thought into it, they included specific reheating instructions for each item and everything tasted as good as it does when you're in the restaurant. They also surprised us by providing the same delicious fresh-baked bread and honey butter as a starter. Nothing beats a good meal at a favourite restaurant, but this was a very well done next-best-thing until things open up again.

Recently moved to Oakville and have already visited this restaurant multiple times. Everything on the menu is delicious, the roof top patio gives a wonderful view of the sunset, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I had heard so much about this place and how the food was amazing. I must say this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing. We had the artic char and the halibut. The appetizers was the beets and goat cheese salad.. wow. I wanted to try more but the diet won't allow it. I guess i have to come back. I also feel that the staff is just as important as the food . We we're wil greeted and our server was very accommodating.. very friendly and made our stay welcoming... well done.

In July, my husband and I had our wedding dinner on the rooftop patio at Loondocks. Our wedding was originally planned for April but with Covid everything turned upside down. Throughout all the changes due to Covid, Kevin and the team at Loondocks were very flexible in ensuring we had the perfect wedding dinner. We cannot say enough good things about Kevin and the team at Loondocks. Everything was perfect and the food was AMAZING! We highly recommend eating at Loondocks whether it be for an occasion or just a night out! We will definitely be making the trip from Toronto to eat again at Loondocks!!

The food was great! But the portion of the salad is really small. They open the patios upstairs but we were not able to open the umbrella because it was quite windy. As a result, we had to eat in the sun, which was not very comfortable.I wish they could open the patio downstairs first. The service was great, servers were very friendly.

We had a company dinner here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a nice, low key place to have a good meal. There's a small bar with a good draft selection and a handful of decent bourbons, something I usually struggle to find in Canada. The char fish entree was quite good, others had filet mignon that was decent as well. We will be back after this great experience.

I'd definitely go back again. ***updated - Curbside pickup*** I decided to do a Curbside pickup and arrived 10 minutes early to pick up my food. It was not ready, which is a good thing as they have it fresh and hot the time that you are supposed to arrive. The food was nicely prepared and packaged up.

Unfortunate event took place tonight. Even after confirming with server multiple times I was served pork! I do not eat pork . & I ended up paying full bill. Completely insensitive server & chef. No diversity or inclusion at this restaurant. Not sure if I was targeted due to my colour or belief . What a nightmare!!! After I said I will post about this incident , manager Brittany came up to address the concern & server or chef were no where to be found. I paid $50 for food I could not eat. Horrible experience.

Great new addition to the Burlington scene! Looks like the Muskoka location closed and reopened here. Really good Canadian food delivered in a modern atmosphere. Could do with additional décor, only one deer antler chandelier? Tsk tsk... Wife and I had the 5 course prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day, came served with a neat sorbet intermezzo, and they were happy to accommodate with a gluten-free dessert (flourless chocolate cake!)

This restaurant mistreated my party of 4 black customers. We booked ahead and on arrival at 5pm, we were taken to the upstairs patio. At some point after serving us with drinks, we were asked to lift our drinks up so the the server could place for us mats. We complied. After this she took our orders for the food and appetizers. Our appetizers came at around 6:15pm. At 6:30pm we were told the kitchen is backlogged so when our food comes out we need to eat quickly and be out of there by 6:45pm. We asked that our food be brought out and we will try to be quick. The server said we have to be out by 6:45pm they need that space. At which point she called a lady who said she was the owner or manager and the whole place is booked so legally we are only allowed 2 hrs and she will compensate us by giving free drinks or dessert. We let her know that all we needed was the food we ordered. They brought out the food and we tried to eat but the experience was already terrible. They brought the bill and the server said the tip was 20%. We paid and left. We are 4 black professionals (Engineer, Accountant, Computer Specialist, and a nurse). Being treated like we were not supposed to be in this restaurant! That is how I felt but if anyone can dispute this kind of treatment then I would only ask why anyone would treat innocent customers in this way. It is ok to dispute about race but this is how this customer felt.

Ordered take away for our anniversary dinner because of COVID-19 restrictions. Our meals far exceeded expectations. All of our food, including appetizers, main course and dessert were excellent and, surprisingly well presented in the take away packages. Instructions on how to best re-warm each of the meals were also included to ensure the best possible results.

Nice place but disappointed we couldn't get the seating we wanted. We are out of town celebrating kids graduation but despite restaurant being empty they wouldn't seat us upstairs as we requested, ended up at a table near entry points and washrooms despite reserving ahead :( I tried hard to get a seating we wanted, the hostes wouldn't budge : ( . I didn't want to embarras the kids by pushing too hard for a nicer spot. The vegan salad and bowl were way to oily but the rest of the party loved their choices . Rosemary bread was good. Another thing to note is that restaurant is placed in a shopping plaza.

This place is an absolute dream. Before going inside, I definitely thought this place would have middle of the road pasta and country style dishes just based off the name, Loondocks. This is definitely a special occasion type establishment. I ate here last night for dinner with my SO and we had the entire rooftop patio to ourselves. We have seen it get pretty busy here during the evenings most nights, but Wednesday nights are wonderfully quiet. The menu presented was impeccable and refined; and for very competitive prices. The Keg would charge more, and serve lower quality food. I love how they kept the menu short, so you know the quality of what they selected would be that much better. We ordered the duck wellington and beef tenderloin, which were both cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The flavours were absolutely amazing, with good portion sizes (not too big, not too little like at gourmet places!) The waitstaff were kind and courteous, and we couldn't have asked for a better night out. I cannot sing this place enough praise. Will definitely be returning to Loondocks!

Loved this place! On the upfront one of the few restaurants which considers vegans/vegeterians and has a seperate menu for vegetarians. While booking a table online it allows you to choose outdoor or indoor seating, which is great. We had booked our table before hand and we got to experience the rooftop patio. The restaurant has good indoor seating, patio seating on the ground floor and roof top patio seating too. We ordered bell pepper flat bread, halibut cakes for starters. For the main course we ordered craft veggie burger and vegan croquettes. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee. Everything was absolutely delicious and the served without delay. Our server, Brittany was nice and friendly, offered great, quick service and also gave us recommendations (if we needed any). Not to mention she made a great cocktail for me. I would totally visit this place again and would recommend it to others.

Went there this evening with my wife . Shared six appetizers and two deserts. Food had both its shining moments and okay ones . Heirloom beets and goat cheese salad , simple and delicious. Bruchetta and halibut cakes where both okay. Not bad . Not amazing. Confit duck poutine was a little lack luster. Venison sliders where pretty good, a little to much bread for me and my wife. Desserts where fabulous . Had the flourless chocolate cake and the French toast creme brulé. Limited menu and not a ideal place to bring kids. Expanding the menu or changing it often would be a nice thing to see. All in all its definitely worth checking out, just doesn't hit the punch line of making me want to rush back. I'd definitely check it out again.

Tried Loondocks because of the Taste of Burlington tonight. Food was fresh and delicious. Portions were a good size. Staff were friendly but not overbearing. Would definitely go back to try more on the menu!

Had a great evening on the rooftop patio at Loondocks! Our server, Effie, suggested mojitos with fresh mint from the garden beside us and they did not disappoint! Food was amazing and the ambience on their rooftop patio is very relaxing :) Will definitely return to this gem in Burlington!

Went here for cocktails and was NOT disappointed. The 2 bartenders really know what they are doing. Highly trained and very friendly. The roof top terrace is lovely. We sipped our cocktails and watched the sunset. Perfect evening. Highly recommend.

The food is to die for! I am still trying to find something I don’t like about the menu but haven’t found it yet. For fine dining the price is very reasonable and the portions are good as well. If you eat the gnocchi beware you may not eat anything else. And the deserts are incredible. Even if you are stuffed you’ll gladly eat whatever you order off the desert menu. So far every time I go back I eat something different and am continually impressed. Literally this is the top place for good food I go, hands down!!

The food and drinks are amazing! I would highly recommend this place. My husband and I got the filet mignon, it was cooked to perfection. The side dishes were also really yummy. The drinks were also fabulous too, I got an orange sour and it was divine. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
